My name is Meghan LaFeve and I am a twenty one
year old, junior at Eastern Michigan University. I made this web site
as a assignment for my English 328 class. My hometown is New Baltimore,
Michigan where I have lived my entire life. I am the oldest child
of five we are each two years apart. My sister just started Western
in the Fall and loves it. My one brother is a junior in high school
and plays Varsity football and basketball. My other brother is a
freshmen and also plays football. My little sister and the baby of
the family is in seventh grade. She is not so interested in sports
like the rest of us. She plays the flute and does ballet. It
is hard to be away from home during the year. I usually go home for
the summers and raise more money to come back the following Fall for school.
Both of my parents are in education that is probably where I got my
love for children. My father is assitant Superintendent of Roseville
schools and my mom teaches second grade also in the Roseville school district.
I have a boyfriend of three and a half years whose name is Timothy.
We met in high school and have been together even since. He
is my best friend and one day down the road we will probably get married.
He is attending Oakland University and will graduate with a bachlors
in Marketing.
My major is Special Education Emotionally Impaired
with a minor in English, Language and Literature. I have been at Eastern
now for four years and plan to graduate in April of 2002. This year
I have taken mostly major classes along with finishing up my basic studies.
I was accepted into the College of Education this fall which was
extremely exciting because I have worked really hard. After graduating
I plan to move home again and find a teaching job in the school districts
around my hometown. I am in a sorority at Eastern- Sigma Sigma Sigma.
This year I live in the sorority house which is located near the
campus so it is not a long walk to my classes. I have had the chance
to experience things being involved in the sorority that I might not of
had the chance to do. I have also met a lot of really nice people and
friends that I know I will keep throughout life.
