Hello!  Akwaaba!  Welcome to this website!

I have been struggling with how best to catch your attention- how best to get you drawn into this website... and I still don't feel like I have the "right" answer.

What I do know is that I had the amazing opportunity to student teach in Ghana during the Fall 2004 semester, and I believe the lessons that I have learned and the passion that has formed in my heart is worth sharing.  IT IS WORTH SHARING!

I have developed a newsletter, linked to this page, highlighting the lessons that I found most valuable.  I could tell you story after story about the students and staff I worked with, but the same themes recur in these stories.  I had initially planned on making this huge, ornate newsletter with tons of great lesson ideas and insights, but that was before I spent two months in Ghana.

What you read in this newsletter may challenge you and put you in a place that is hard to relate to... or... this newsletter may be exactly what you can relate to.  At any rate, read it and learn from it!  Good teachers are continually learning!

I have also posted all sorts of lesson plans developed by my colleagues and I on the website.  These are lessons that worked for us, and we want you and your students to be able to benefit from them as well.

Also, check out the other links of interest!  There are great resources and organizations here!

Best wishes!
