It Happened
It was a warm day in December and the time had come.
Your cold empty eyes stared through me.
I knew what was about to happen.
My body collapsed and the coldness that I once shut out came forth.
Everything that you helped me believe became a fairy tale,
once told to your child to ward them from danger.
The promises you made became empty shells,
Hollow words just spoken,
but pushed out because they became to big.
I gave to you my lifes commitment and only
if I still had that life I once grasped.
I would give it to you all again, but now I live in memories and dreams.
With confusion all around. So, theres nothing more to give,
but the empty body of death where happiness once lived.
