| Wednesday. Hump Day. Quesadia Day...not that I want to think about food. I ate some today, which normally, I wouldn't need any recognition for, but today I would like a parade or a national holiday or a banquet...okay, so maybe not a banquet. Maybe I should explain... Sunday: Melissa, Aimee and I ordered Chinese food as sort of a "Welcome Back/ Let's Prolong Eating Caf Food For Another Day" dealie and it was delicious, all was well and, woohoo, there was leftovers for Monday. Monday: Done with classes. Mmm...left over Chinese food. You would have done the same, right? Oh, and for the record, it was in the fridge over night...not laying out or anything. Monday Evening: Starting to not feel so great. Drank some hot chocolate and ate some saltines to try and calm my stomach down. Went to class. Started feeling craptacular. Monday 9ish: To spare you all the delicious details, I basically was throwing up from 9ish to 2:30 about every half hour or so. Shuffling down the hall in my Parkside t-shirt, boxer shorts and my multi-colored blanket to my self designated third stall in the bathroom. They say it's lonely at the top. Well, it's cold and lonely curled up around the bottom of a toilet as well. It was probably pretty gross too, but I was too busy to notice. The first DAY of classes and I'm dying. I seriously thought I was. I was thisclose to asking someone to drag me over to Pocono Medical because I didn't think I was going to make it through the night. And for anyone unfamiliar with Pocono Medical center, all you need to know is that I was probably better off becoming a permanent part of the tile pattern in the bathroom than I would have been going there. Pried myself off the floor somewhere around 2:30 and flopped onto my bed to continue tossing and turning. Needless to say there was very little sleep taking place. 85% of my awake hours were spent sleeping yesterday and NOT watching cable since it hadn't been turned on yet. That's the worst. When you're sick and dying and the cable's out. I ate a chicken ceasar salad today and drank Gatorade all day yesterday. I'm making progress. And our cable works today. Currently I'm watching and taping Chasing Amy (which is ironically after Shrek on the tape) and putting off the whole doing work thing. I did some work this afternoon after my nice 4 hour block of class. The kid gloves are offically off on the second day of classes...which is what Wednesday, Hump Day, No-Throwing Up Day is. I should probably get back to work...should doesn't mean will, however. So in case anyone has been confused by my away messages and whatnot, I've had food poisoning, or something severly to that affect. And it's not that I wouldn't appreciate it, but please don't send any Get Well fruit baskets...okay? Thanks! |
