![]() Megan Elizabeth Pelzer June 16, 1992~July 24, 1992 ![]() When I was caring Megan, I almost lost her. The doctors said they couldn't find any thing wrong, that it was stress. I started labor Memorial Day weekend of 1992. They kept sending me home. Then on the night of June 15, 1992, my water broke. It looked like Pepsi. Megan wasn't moving, so they gave me an emergency c-section. At 3:02 A.M., she was here. She weighed 9 lbs, 4ozs and was 25 inches long. They said she had a bowel movement and her lungs weren't doing very good. At 7:00 A.M. the pediatrician came in and said that my Megan had a whole in her heart......that she needed to be moved to Phoenix Children's Hospital for open heart surgery. At this point I still hadn't seen my baby. At 8:30 A.M., they brought her to me, I couldn't hold her, just look at her. From there she went with AirVac. I was to call the heart doctor in one hour. So we did to find out what time she would have surgery. At this point they told me that she had hypo plastic left heart syndrome and only twelve hours if that to live. They brought my Megan back to me to hold and love. Three days later my Megan was still here. I took her home to meet her two brothers and her older sister. Every day my other kids would come in the room and say "Momma is she still alive?" That went on for three weeks. At that time, I called the doctor and said I wanted Megan to have reconstructive heart surgery, that was July 9, 1992. We took her to PCH where they watched her for two more weeks. Finally the day had came July 24, 1992. Mid day they came out from the surgery and said her blood vessels were to small to pump the extra blood. So we took her of all machines and let God have her, that was at 2:00 P.M. I called home to tell my kids, when my daughter got on the phone she said momma Megan is in Heaven, she said to be strong and she loves you. I then asked Ashley honey who told you that? She said Megan did, she just left with God. So now we think about and love her through God and memories. ![]() ![]() We love you Megan.
