A light shines within her eyes
She cannot tell him what she feels right now
And she cannot hear the words they say
But she can feel their burning stares
On the back of her neck
She feels so accused
She feels so unloved
Longing for a human touch
She wants to feel the warmth around her
She wants to feel alive
She sees the mouth contort
Into screams into laughter
Something she wishes she could do
From a father who did not want her
To people who were scared
She found acceptance with a little doll
And found her voice in the middle of the woods
Still everyone is afraid
She can see into the souls of them
And they point at her
They accuse her
Because inside they are dismanteled
Afraid of their own imperfections
That they see in her glittering eyes
