Part One
Engineering
Krysira made her way over to where Trip was now working with Malcolm. She joined the two men. Malcolm saw Trip look around, seeing the chief engineers demeanor soften. Malcolm turned to see Krysira standing there quietly with her hands behind her back. Ah...Krysira, Malcolm began. Didnt hear you come over. I did not wish to interrupt your work, Krysira replied. Youre not interrupting at all, Krysira, Trip told her, giving her that disarming grin of his. She merely smiled. Malcolm glanced at Krysira then Trip, realizing something. He cleared his throat. I believe I need to check the phase cannons, he suddenly announced. Ill speak with you both later. Commander...Krysira. He turned and strode out of engineering. Once Malcolm was out of sight, Trip leaned over and kissed Krysira softly on the lips. When he straightened up, he noticed something. Whered the third lightsabre come from? Trip wanted to know. It is Jedi Knight Dallon Yulls weapon. I am holding it while he is under Doctor Phloxs care, she explained, as she took Dallons lightsabre, checking it. There appears to be no structural damage. She ignited it. A teal colored beam of light appeared. She moved it expertly through the air. Everything in working order, Krys? Indeed. In one fluid motion, she turned it off and belted it. Hows he doing? Dallon remains unconscious at this time. Trip put a comforting arm around Krysira's slender shoulders, giving her a gentle hug. Phlox will take good care of him, he assured her, seeing her nod. He suddenly pressed his lips in a straight line, then spoke. I used the Force earlier, Krys. She looked at him curiously. Um...you didnt feel me use the Force? No...we do not always detect the Force in use...especially if it is a minor usage. Ahh...well...anyway...to make a long story short, Malcolm kept questioning me about the Force and...I showed him, by making a data padd fly into my hand. It was controlled, Krys. His blue eyes brightened. I wish you couldve seen it. Krysira smiled. As do I, my love. You are learning as I knew that you would. She leaned up, kissing his lips tenderly. He grinned. Thanks, sweetheart. He gave her an affectionate hug, releasing her. I will teach you more, once I am apprised of Dallons condition and you are not on duty. Sounds good to me. He kissed her softly. Trip went back to work on his equipment with Krysira's assistance.Part Two
On tour of Enterprise
Archer led his guests down one of the many corridors that were scattered throughout his ship. Counselor Ryvinia had stayed behind to study the information that Chairman of the Senate, Ryko Lym had sent her for the upcoming vote on Coruscant. Rybrillian Prefect Ca-Yanne walked next to the captain. Following them were Becan and Pedzi, Sedona and Lonan and finally Trey and Chelz. Your ship is extraordinary, Captain Archer, Ca-Yanne commented. Your technology is quite remarkable in your universe, it seems. Archer smiled. Thank-you, but from what Ive seen in this universe, the technology here is quite remarkable as well, he told her. Yes, and our technologies have benefited one another. Archer nodded in agreement. My people and I are in your debt, Captain Archer. We will be forever grateful. She inclined her head. My pleasure. Besides, it gives us a chance to know each other a bit better, doesnt it? Yes. We Rybrillians have stayed hidden away from the rest of the galaxy for too long. Perhaps it is time to take our place among the other races. Excuse me, Captain Archer. It was Becan. Archer stopped, turning around. Yes, Becan? Archer questioned. Forgive the interruption, but I was just studying my stellar maps of this part of the galaxy to refresh my memory, since it has been five years. And I realized that there is an asteroid belt that we will encounter in about three before reaching Rybrill. I hope that your ship will be able to navigate through it. Archer grinned. It just so happens that I have one of the best pilots in Starfleet at the helm. In fact, our next stop is the bridge where youll meet Travis. Perhaps you would like to be present when we go through the asteroid belt at that time, Becan. Becans face lit up. It would be an honor, Captain. Archers grin widened. For now, let me show you the bridge during our regular routine.Part Three
Sickbay
Phlox was in the middle of his examination of the big Jedi Dallon Yull, when he noticed something on the side of his neck. Something so small that he initially missed it. Phlox was surprised that his scanner didnt register it.
He leaned closer to get a better look, when Dallons eyes snapped open. Phlox noticed a small brief flash of red the instant before Dallon woke up. Dallons head whipped around to stare at Phlox, who had wisely taken a couple of steps back upon seeing him move. Dallons dark eyes narrowed. Who are you? Where am I? Dallon demanded, as his hand reached for his lightsabre, but was surprised to find it gone. Where is my lightsabre? Calm down, please, Phlox soothed. Ill explain everything. Dallon suddenly grunted in pain as he grabbed his neck, hissing through his teeth as he squeezed his eyes shut. Easy. Let me help you, Phlox soothed again. Im a... he suddenly trailed off. His blue eyes widened upon seeing a flash of red pass over Dallons dark brown eyes. Dallon had swung up instantly into a sitting position. Before Phlox had a chance to react, he saw Dallon raise his hand palm out in his direction. All that Phlox saw was Dallon push his hand towards him. He felt himself sail through the air, slamming into the far wall. Phlox groaned in pain as he slid down the wall and crumbled into a pile on the floor, unconscious. The big Jedi got off the biobed and staggered towards what appeared to be a door. His only thoughts were retrieving his weapon and escaping. He would take care of anyone who stood in his way. By the time he had reached the door and was out of Sickbay, Dallon had regained his balance and moved briskly yet cautiously down the corridor. The status of the being that he left behind was of no consequence to him.Part Four
Engineering
Trip was down on hands and knees, the top half of his body inside one of the conduits. He adjusted the power outage, while Krysira knelt near him, handing him the tools that he needed. Krysira suddenly felt the use of the Force and turned her head in the general direction which she felt it. At the same time, Trip felt a tingling sensation. He pulled the top half of his torso out of the conduit, sitting back on his heels, a frown furrowing his brow. What the hell was that? Trip wanted to know. Krysira's head snapped around to look at Trip. She instantly realized that Trip felt the Force in use as well. Dallon is awake, using the Force, Krysira explained. I will try to contact him. She closed her eyes, allowing the Force to flow through her. /Dallon,/ she said across their bond. /It is Krysira./ However, Krysira couldnt reach the highly agitated Dallon to speak with him. She opened her eyes, as a look of concern crossed her delicate features. Trip touched her hand. Any luck? Trip asked. No. He is too agitated and irrational to allow communication. It is as though those emotions are blocking our communication. We must go to him in Sickbay. Trip was on his feet as was Krysira as the two of them ran out of Engineering.Part Five
Mess Hall
Travis Mayweather and Hoshi Sato were the only ones in the room, taking a well-deserved break, especially Travis, who suddenly chuckled. Hoshi looked at him. What? She wanted to know, unable to keep a smile from forming. I cant get over how curious they all were, especially Lonan, he began. Never had so many questions asked since my Academy days. Hoshi giggled. You know that you enjoyed answering every single question. Travis grinned. Yeah, youre right...I did. He then sobered. So what went on down there, Hoshi? But before Hoshi could reply, the door slid open and Jedi Knight Dallon Yull burst in scanning the area, a wild look in his eyes. Hoshi gave a little gasp at Dallons sudden appearance. Travis leapt out of his chair, walking towards Dallon. Can I help you? Travis questioned, holding out a hand in a friendly manner. However, Dallons dark eyes narrowed. He held up his hand, his palm facing Travis and once again pushing his hand forward sent the helmsman flying backwards into a couple of tables, landing in a heap among the overturned and broken tables. Travis groaned, then passed out. Hoshi gasped. Travis! She exclaimed, getting out of her chair to run over to her fallen crewmate. She had only taken a couple of steps, when she felt an almost vise-like grip on her arm. She suddenly found herself staring into dark eyes that werent friendly at all. Where...am...I? Dallon demanded. Hoshi gulped. On a ship, she whispered. Where is my lightsabre? I-I dont know. Hoshi noticed that her captor had the same style clothing as Krysira, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan wore yet a different color. She realized that this man was a Jedi, since Krysira mentioned that lightsabres were weapons of the Jedi. Dallon winced, growling deep in his throat, as he felt a small spasm of pain in his neck. Is there an escape pod? Hoshi merely nodded. Then take me to it...now! Dallon practically dragged Hoshi out of the messhall. She almost had to run to keep up with Dallons long strides. Seeing him stare at her, Hoshi pointed a trembling finger to the right. They continued down the surprisingly empty corridor. Hoshi blinked, as it suddenly dawned on her that this was Krysira's Jedi friend that she mentioned while she was on the bridge. But if he was a Jedi like Krysira, then why was he acting so...cruel? What was going on? Krysira and Qui-Gon never acted like this. These questions ran through Hoshis mind, as she wisely directed her captor towards the launch bay. Dallons thoughts as he pulled Hoshi along with him were of escaping. Yet...he needed his lightsabre. The female was terrified of him; therefore she would wisely cooperate. Otherwise he would have to persuade her to. But he figured that she knew more than she was telling him. He suddenly stopped, pulling the terrified Hoshi extremely close to him. Once again...where is my weapon? He emphasized the last four words. I told you! I dont know! Hoshi exclaimed. You lie! Dallon snarled, gripping her arm a bit tighter. Now tell me! Hoshi gasped in pain as her mind quickly searched for a believable reason. Krysira would probably have it. She saw a brief flash of recognition pass over Dallons dark eyes. And for an instant his expression had softened somewhat. However the moment had passed and his expression was once again fierce. Where would this...Krysira be? He demanded. In Engineering. Then that is where we will go to retrieve my weapon. Once again, Hoshi pointed in the desired direction and then felt herself being dragged along by the tall un-Jedi-like man.Part Six
Sickbay
At the same time, Trip and Krysira ran in to see that the biobed that Dallon had been on was now empty. Krysira pressed her lips in a thin line. This is not good, she said mostly to herself. Doc? Trip called, looking around. He suddenly spotted the physician slumped on the floor. Krys! He exclaimed as he ran over to Phlox with Krysira right behind him. Both bent down next to the physician. Krysira felt for a pulse in his neck and found a strong one. Trip looked at her. Krys? He questioned worriedly. He is alive...merely unconscious. The chief engineer let out a relieved sigh. Krysira laid her hands on Phlox and closing her eyes, gathered in the Force and allowed it to flow from her into Phlox, healing him. About a minute or so later, Phlox groaned, as he woke up. He pushed himself up slowly into a sitting position. Doc? Trip questioned. Phlox finally opened his eyes on the couple in front of him. How are you feeling? Krysira questioned. Much better. Thank-you, Phlox replied, his expression turning serious. My patient attacked me. I better call the bridge and tell them that we have someone on board whos loose and dangerous, Trip told them, starting to rise to his feet. Krysira caught Trips wrist, stopping him. We must know all the facts before we act, Trip, Krysira said gently, then added: A Jedi would never use the Force to attack. She released Trips wrist. Perhaps not, Krysira, however he held up his hand towards me and I flew into the wall, Phlox explained. A concerned expression crossed Krysira's beautiful features. I do not understand why he did that. Dallon is one of the gentlest people I know. I may have a theory on his behavior. While I was examining him, I found something protruding slightly from his neck. Before I had a chance to look at it more in-depth, I saw a brief flash of red light. He woke up and looked at me and again I saw a brief flash of light pass over his eyes. He sat up then attacked me as I explained earlier. Krysira frowned slightly. I have never heard of anything like that before. Almost sounds like a miniature electronic device, Trip offered. My thinking as well, Commander, Phlox agreed. Once again, Trip scowled as he felt the Force being activated. It just happened again, Krysira. I know, she replied, her voice slightly subdued. We must find him quickly. Ill contact the bridge, Phlox told them. All three rose to their feet. Trip and Krysira exited Sickbay on a run, while Phlox went over to the intercom.
