Hello. We are Bob and Lois Schneider of Palmyra, VA. We would like to introduce you to our family, but first we would like to tell you a little about ourselves.
We retired to Palmyra 20 years ago, moving here from Connecticut. Although we are retired, we are still quite active in the community. Our focus is on rescue (dogs).
This past 4 years we have been sending letters and packages to members of our armed services overseas. Some of these men and women have been members of a K-9 Unit involved in demolition in Iraq. Although their lives are on the line each day, they have found the time to send letters letting us know a little about themselves and sharing photographs. Please visit our Friends in Uniform pages which are dedicated to those men and women. We will update as new photographs are received. Thank you for supporting our troops. God Bless our men and women in uniform.
We were both animal communicators but have not practiced for some time now due to personal reasons. While we were communicating, one of our most favorite subjects was Virgil, a beautiful quarterhorse who owns Jeane (our webmaster). Virgil was an extreme abuse case who had been rescued and was in a safe place, but Virgil made his intentions known that he wanted to be with Jeane. Jeane asked that we communicate with Virgil to be certain he was ready to move from the security of his rescuer's home. Virgil was excited that someone had given him a choice, and went with reserved anticipation. That was 8 years ago. Since then Jeane and her husband have retired and purchased a farm close by. Virgil now has his own herd (5 additional horses) and is a very happy soul. We have all become fast friends. Click on Virgil's name to visit his website. |
