Steve was previously an original cast member in the American premiere of the musical Hot Shoe Shuffle and has received a number of grants for tap choreography, including one from the National Endowment for the Arts. Steve edited the Oral History/Biography of tap master Stan Kahn which is now on file at the San Francisco Performing Arts Library & Museum and has made three instructional tap videos.
As a theater artist, Steve trained at UCLA, the Sorbonne/Universite de Paris III and with the Piccolo Teatro di Milano. By the way, if you�ve ever seen tap dancing Hershey�s Kisses on your television set, then you have heard Steve dance!
Steve is currently on faculty in the dance departments at Cal State Long Beach and Loyola Marymount University and teaches for the Gabriella Axelrad Education Foundation in Los Angeles.
