"I was a kid that you would like, just a small boy on her bike."~When I was a Boy

Dar Dates NOW!

The first time I ever heard Dar, it was 1996, and I was in a car with two people that I had just met for the fist time as well. Because I was from Iowa, they decided that I had to hear "this one song". Thus, my introduction to "Iowa", "Februrary" (they rewound it too far) and Dar herself. She in beyond amazing, and she makes me laugh. I've only seen her once (four years ago) and was moved by her incredibly honest, personal performance. (And she was wearing purple stretch velvet!) I really can't quite believe that I haven't seen her since-but, well, I guess things just got crazy. I think I missed her a couple times in chicago, but I'll try to catch her this spring.
ANYWAY, she can say it better than I can...

DAR IN QUOTATIONS...

"I'll stay in my body, and you'll stay in your own. Cause we know that we're born and we're dying alone." ~in love but not at peace

"Oh I don't like the signs that the signmakers make. So I'm going to steal out with my paint and my brushes. I'll change the directions, I'll hit every street." ~you're aging well

"This is where I let my pain go. This is where the foot prints dance in the snow." ~this in not the house that pain built

"I had to take God into my own hands, am I too late? Is it over?"~the great unknown

"That's when you knew this world can't be saved, only discovered. And you knew things could be different than before. And you will not be alone anymore."~arrival
