What can I say about catie that hasn't already been said? I like her, I like her a lot. I got tuned on to her about three years ago, and for the first time, I didn't start listening to her because someone else suggested it. I think I discovered her on my own. I don't remember how I stumbled upon "truth from lies," but I did, and I am spankin happy about it. It didn't take much for me to buy "catie curtis" next. Needless to say, I was jumping up and down when "crash course in roses" came out. It's quite the album, if you ask me. I got the CD at a time in my life that I would definitely characterize as "a bad spot," and it really picked me up. "World don't owe me" became my theme song for awhile-it's such an amazing song. My favorite part is the end, "the world don't owe me a highway, don't owe me a trainthe world don't owe me an easy way out here it comes again another kind of pain." That's powerful stuff-especially if you're listening to it when you definitely need a pick-me-up. Not to mention "magnolia street." I mean, how many people are totally right there with her when she's singing about taking her coat off while driving and having the passenger hold the wheel? It's such a beautiful metaphor, and a beautiful image. Anyway, I'm sure no one really wants to hear what I think about every catie curtis song, so I'm going to stop rambling about it. I CAN'T WAIT FOR "MY SHIRT LOOKS GOOD ON YOU"!!!!!
