Prior to the publication of this book, the author started writing daily reflections for her church bulletin. These reflections developed into the meditations that are found in this book. The book is set into four sections, one for each gospel writer- Saints Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Inside will be found some of the more well-known parables of the Bible. She placed herself in the gospel scene which she reflected upon and expanded them to include her feelings and inspirations. We have become a materialistic society, seeking those things which give us instant gratification. However, we need to become a society and people of respect, harmony and love. We are people who desire peace and harmony within ourselves. The one way to obtain this is to come closer to God. We must grow in our knowledge of God and through this we will grow to love Him. Through this book, the author has helped us grow in love for one another and to increase our faith in God. May we come to love Jesus with all our hearts as He lovingly extends His Sacred Heart out to each one of us, His children. |
