| Sorry everyone, but I don't take submissions. The fanfiction included in this archive has either been written by me (M'eyari), co-written by me, or has been written with me somehow being part of the writing/editorial process. I, personally, write fanfiction for two reasons, the first of which would be simply for the practice. Can a painter paint without learning how to use her brush? Neither can a writer write without practice. The second reason would be that I honestly do admire the brilliant universes created by the various authors and movie writers that I pay homage to, and I just can't resist putting my own little fantasies down on paper (well, down on Web, anyway). The one universe I would be tempted to play in that I won't is the one that belongs to Anne Rice, because she has specifically requested that no one but her writes about her characters. I can respect that. If anyone else sees that a fanfic of mine is based in another universe where the author/owner has specifically requested that no one else play, please tell me and I will take my stories set in that universe down. My intention in posting my work is not to make the powers that be angry with me, but rather to get honest opinions and helpful criticisms from anyone who reads them (for example, if I start to develop a bad habit in my writing ~ such as the overuse of a word or phrase ~ I would like a reader who notices it to email me and say "Hey! Stop using that darn phrase so much! It's annoying!"). Well, I guess that does it for the criteria, so go ahead, go back to the Fanfiction section, and let me know what you think! |
