| was born in 1926 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She majored in Slavonic Languages and Literature at Radcliffe College. She married in 1950, and has three children (Alec, Anthony and Georgeanne). For many reasons (among them, a painful divorce, a writer's tax exemption, and a good school system), McCaffrey immigrated to Ireland about thirty years ago. She currently resides in Wicklow County, in the house of her own design known as Dragonhold-Underhill (so named partly for her famous Pern series, and partly for the fact that she had to dig into a hill on her farm to build the house). |

| was born in Heber Springs, Arkansas, but grew up in Sims, Indiana. She is well-known for her Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter novels, as well as her Merry Gentry series. |

| was raised and educated in South Florida, where she now lives with her two children. A former member of the United States Airforce, Ms. Viehl's medical experience in both military and civilian trauma centers shines through in her StarDoc series. Currently out in the StarDoc world are Star Doc, Beyond Varallan, Endurance, Shockball and Eternity Row. Ms. Viehl has also released two independent novels set in the StarDoc universe - Blade Dancer and Biorescue. Hopefully, as Ms. Viehl has stated that the manuscript for Star Doc Book 6 is complete, her publisher will stop being a jerk and print it soon so that we fans can read it... |
