I for one do not appreciate Icewinds response to Blackbane (even though I
am not a fan of that particular bird). I think we a sacrificing our first
ammendment rights by refusing him his say. He warned you not to read his
post. Your responses show what little faith you have in the goddess and
the threefold law of retribution. It also shows what little faith you have
in yourselves.
So go ahead Kick me off to because it is obvious that you do not like that

I'm certainly willing to accord Blackbane the right to speak his/her/it's
piece but accordingly, I demand he/she/it respect my opinions and beliefs
as I respect his/her/it's.
If Blackbane had done the same stunts on any other religious newgroup, what
type of treatment would he/she/it have received? I'm certain that they
would be a disgusted with his/her/it's arrogant manner and spoken to
his/her/it's SysAdmin and taken similar action.
And I have the greatest respect for the 3 Fold Law. But I will also not
allow someone to befoul my beliefs and then hide behind the 1st Amendment.
Implicit within both the Rede AND the 1st Amendment is the concept of
respect. Respecting that which is different from you, even though you
don't agree with it or think that it's wrong.
Blackbane has shown us d**n little respect. We tried to speak with
him/her/it when he/she/it befouled us. We then went to his/her/it's
SysAdmin and worked an agreement out there.
I'll be happy to respect someone's opinion, even when I disgree with it but
by the Gods I'll not be a doormat for some young snot-nose brat whose just
read "Silver Broomstick" and has computer access.

Corvequis, it would be nice were you to keep up on the events. As this post
is regarding my response, I feel it only fair to defend myself.
1.> The particular post I was angry about had no disclaimer.
2.> I worked for upwards of a week to find a peaceful resolution to
the whole BlackBane ordeal and am now exchanging thoelogy ideas with
BlackBane.
3.> I didn't kick anyone off. BlackBane's sysop kicked her off because
she hacked a UK account or some such. I just thought I had.
4.> As for hating things that are different. Have you read the disclaimer
to almost every advice/thoughts post I have ever made? I use a veritable
plethora of IMHO's and IME's and consistantly state that the things I
type are not neccesarily the opinion of anyone but myself, and even then
its uncertain.
So, in conclusion, please look a bit deeper into the problem before you
accuse me of being something I am not. Thank you.
