Okay folks, Icewind here with some good news. I have been working with
the sysop and cosysop of Nova BBS ([email protected]) and am happy to
announce the negotiations have reached a verdict.
Raven BlackBane may or may not have her account reinstated by the
sysop. The agreement is that neither she, nor any other members of
the Nova BBS will post obscene or insulting material in this
Newsgroup.
Now, before we get all excited and such, I would like to say a couple
of things. When Raven BlackBane came here, she was called several names
and such because of either her name, or the fact that she was attempting
to contact other witches. I do not know who did this. It could very
well have been the fundie lurkers we have here who find it so appealing
to hurt other religions.
Secondly, one of the things that Wicca teaches us is to forgive and
accept. If BlackBane comes back to us and doesn't try to cause
trouble, then please accept her, or at least do not flame her for
reasons/posts prior to this note.
I was bombed, my sister insulted, and a good week of time spent on
this, and if I'm willing to forgive, I should hope that you can too.
So, in conclusion, let us put an end to the 'war' with Nova BBS, and
BlackBane in particular, and try to learn a little something from
each other. If you still feel too angry about the whole thing to be
civil to her, then please just hold your tongue (ermmm, fingers)
until you can. If she can keep herself controlled, then by all means
we should be able to as well.
To Raven BlackBane, if you are reading this, I hope you will rejoin
us in good will and that friendly relations can begin between our
little newsgroup and yourself and Nova BBS.

I wasn't aware there was a "war" - only a more frequent reason to use my
"delete" key. And I find myself wanting a twit filter on my news reader to
bypass any messages from or about BlackBane.

I was the one that insulted them.
Like I originally stated to the group called BlackBane which you can
read in my previous posts, ..called back the spell we cast.
It was a signal that I was loosing the power of self control "emotion"
to the troll power of a younger group. It was a power play and we lost.
We gave in and got mad. We used the magick.
The BlackBane was directed at me personaly. "Blood Of The Moon" was the
war cry. They taught me good and won the intellectual battle. But
everyone there will get really sick for a little while. Get well soon,
BBS. So be it.
The Raven really fortold the time that I should completely retire from
this group, this virtual.coven that we all designed called
alt.religion.wicca. I think that it is doing so well and I'm proud of
all of you and the original charters.
I pray to the God/dess to bless every witch on this newsgroup with
wisdom, knowledge, health, and above all sanity. So be it. Blessed be
you all.
I now travel once again down the road of complete and utter darkness.

No one here got sick. Sort of odd, but I feel great. Rob has a wee bit
of a runny nose, but then he's always running around outside fixing this and
fixing that without enough cloathing in 10 degree weather.
