The Dumb Bitch Actually Said It
In the Words of Ashlee Simpson
On Being a hard-core punk rocker:

"I've always been a rocker. Like ever since I was really young. I had a crush on the Green Day guys. That's always been what I was like and been my interest. Then I was in a punk band for a while and we broke up."

"When I was 11, I wanted to be Alanis Morissette so bad I can't even tell you! Now I'm getting to write my own thing and it's rock music so its really cool so Im excited about it!"

"I would sing behind closed doors growing up. Jessica was so good and it made me shy about my own voice. But, I don't hide my singing- not anymore. I sing punk music actually. I love to run around and scream and rock out and play guitar."

First of all, anyone who is punk doesn't have to announce to the world, "Hey look at me, Im punk. Did you notice I play punk music? I love rock and punk music! Im such a punk rocker!" And so forth. Someone who is
actually punk does not have to announce it,  the music speaks for itself. And also anyone who is punk and releases and album does not just picture themself on the album cover, and write songs about how much it sucked being Jessica Simpsons little sister.

"I was sort of anti-reality because my sister has her show. But its cool because its the first time people will really get to see the real me." (Translation: I was sort of anti-reality until I realized that I could cash in on it, too.)

"I've always loved rock music. I went to ballet school and had orange hair. I've always been out there." (Ballet school! Orange hair! OMG if I could be HALF the rebel she is I would be so fucking cool...)

"I don't feel the way Jess does about music. I feel drawn to acting." This quote I think is really fucked up. I mean, the least she could do is PRETEND that she gives a rats ass about music, and not just the motherfucking money. But this just proves she's a half-wit pop tart media whore.

"The 'Shadow' video is like me against myself. Kind of a facing-your-inner-demons kind of thing and things you battle with day-to-day. So one Ashlee has blond hair and the other has brown hair. The blond Ashlee lives in this perfect world, and the brown Ashlee is this other kid that doesn't belong." (Ashlee explaining the mind-boggling symbolism behind her "Shadow" video.)
