Persona Non Grata
(An unacceptable person)
I am not an overly travelled man,
my skin is not blessed with a suntan,
but my eyes have seen many a sight,
and my body has felt many a fight,
I have heard many a tale told,
and encountered many a soul sold
wandering aimlessly across the land,
empty heart, heavy heart, heavy hand,
an ever growing violent minority
polluting our society, staining it's purity,
we let them walk by without a word,
an attitude that I think is absurd,
holding a partners hand, ignoring their black eyes,
closing our ears to children's cries,
we should not ignore them, they matter,
we should let them know they are persona non grata.
