Places of Interest Local Parks: MOMS Club favorite parks are marked with * * Fichtner – Mainwaring Park, Medford - This is a 31 acre site with pathways, four sand volleyball courts (we use as a sand box), two basketball courts, four tennis courts, a play area with 2 play structures, a very small gazebo, soccer fields, restroom and a water spray play area and a sand play area. Stewart & Holly. * Doc Griffin Park, Jacksonville – This park has a playground, covered picnic tables, restrooms, and a water spray play area. * Holmes Park, Medford - This park has a playground with 2 separate play structures, one for older and one for younger children. There are 2 baby swings, a big sand box, a large grassy area with picnic tables and also a paved path around the park, tennis courts, a basketball court and restrooms. It is located next to a disc golf course at 185 South Modoc Street in Medford. * Lewis Park, Medford - This park is 8 acres. It has a playground with 2 separate play structures one for older and one for younger children. There are basketball courts, restrooms, a water spray area and a path that goes around the entire property. It is located at Lewis Ave and 8th street in Medford. * Robert Pfaff Park, Central Point – 635 Manzanita Street. This park has two play areas, one for younger and the other for older children, 2 baby swings and 2 big kid swings, basketball court, tennis court, restroom and lots of large shade trees. Bear Creek Park, Medford - 100 acre park with a Leathers designed playground, little league fields, an off-leash dog area, a BMX track, an outdoor performing amphitheater, a 25,000 square foot skate park, various barbecue areas, four tennis courts, and restroom. Corner of Highland Drive & Siskiyou. * Donahue - Frohnmayer Park, Medford - Covered pavilion with small barbecue that can be reserved for private use. There is an ADA swing at this location in addition to general play area with swings, a small basketball court and restroom. Corner of Spring & Springbrook streets in Medford. Lone Pine Spray park, Medford - Lone Pine Street, off Spring brook. Water spray play area and bathrooms. Lithia Park, Ashland - a 93-acre vista of emerald lawns, tennis courts, a sand-pit volleyball court, picnic area, colorful landscaping and playground equipment. Garfield Park, Ashland - Approximately 3 acres. The park offers a playground, basketball court, restrooms, sand-pit volleyball courts and a water spray play area. The park is open year-round; however the water play area is only open Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. There are many other parks in the area. The Rogue Valley Family Fun Center, Central Point, OR - Amusement park attractions include Video Games, two Miniature Golf Courses, a Driving Range, Bumper Boats, Go-Carts, Batting Cages, and Cactus Jack's Playhouse. 664-4263 Science Works, Ashland, OR – Museum and kids’ play space. Kids run around some 10,000 square feet of exhibits that encourage climbing, pulling, pushing, spinning and other means of fitness.
