Oh sure , it’s just a phase. Well, it isn’t. Is it? It is kind of funny, the way people turn on trends and “in” things. One week it’s a band, the next week it’s a hairstyle. But religion, a phase? It most certainly could be. With movies and t.v. shows flooding our minds with images of beautiful women, powerful women, magickal women, it really isn’t any wonder we’re captivated. I have to admit, I want to have powers too! I want to levitate, I want to fly on a broom, I want to stop time and all those goodies. But I can’t. I think sometimes we tend to get caught up in what is amazing, popular and cool. It isn’t any wonder people think this is a phase because somewhere inside of them, they grew out of it. They think for some reason we are just now experiencing these feelings of wanting to be supernatural and different. They don’t understand we’re on a religious hunt so to speak. We are on a quest of knowledge and personal spiritual gain. If friends and family members tell you this is all a joke or a phase, feel free to explain that Witchcraft is a religion, a way of life. If they still write it off as a passing phase, let them! Agree with them. Say “yep, you bet, a big fat phase. I’ll be onto the new thing when it finds me. Perhaps I’ll dye my hair purple (too late)” Use your knowledge and personal humor. Agree with them while proving them wrong. They’ll get the picture. But my all time best advice is … stay in the closet. No need to bring this attention and drama onto yourselves!!!
