| Fed up with petty thievery, Calamari takes over as leader of the Rubberobo Gang. Receiving new direction from a televised broadcast of an unknown identity, their new goal is to steal a Rare Medal.Dr. Aki, creator of all Medabots, is also the uncle of the lovely Karin. After meeting Ikki and Metabee, he is interested in training them in the art of battle. However, Metabee is unconvinced that he needs any outside help, and declines the professor's offer. To show the cocky Medabot what he is missing, Dr. Aki battles Metabee and Ikki using Cyandog, a Medabot that has never won! Amazingly, Metabee is easily defeated in battle, showing him that the strength of a Metabot depends greatly on the person controlling it. Ikki's training begins immediately. Seeing Neutranurse with Dr. Aki, the Rubberobo Gang assumes that she must possess a Rare Medal. They use Spidar Medabot to steal Neutranurse. A loud voice from the heavens confirms that the Medal they have stolen is not a Rare Medal. Metabee battles Spidar to save Neutranurse. Without any assistance from Dr. Aki, Ikki wins with his competitive spirit. |
