| 7:40 AM 02/09/02 Shepherd Wanted LONDON (AP) -- Wanted: Talented shepherd to manage flock of 600 sheep on English island. Must enjoy virtual solitude. Spouse recommended. This sounds a great job for me sadly I have no spouse but I feel had she been with us still she would not have been too keen on the posting.. After all 600 sheep to say nothing of next years lambs might not hold much appeal after a few months. The "English island" in question is LUNDY in the Bristol channel. There is one farm one school one church and one shop so everything one needs is to hand. |

| WELCOME to page 3 of the mecredymelville website at YAHOO. It is being started on Labor Day SEPT 2nd 2002 though as it is just after midnight I think I will leave editinguntil the daylight hours It has turned out a lovely day.but it is getting somewhat humid I will be having a quiet day at home as almost everywhere is closed for the holiday. Including the Bagel Shop our lunch supply for most of the summer. Dianne was talking about having a BBQ this evening which would be very nice. Days here can be quite long especially on holidays when there is nothing too much to do. | |||||||||||||
| SCHOOL STARTS AGAIN TODAY. School started again today for Katherine and she seemed very happy about it. She has been looking forward to this for a long time Likewise Colleen who will be starting at Montessori on Walkers Line tmorrow and at first she will just be going for half days. Dallas took her along with Dianne this mormning and then he came home early and picked her up in the afternoon. There is a lot of turmoil due to cuts in budgets for schools by the Government and a threat of a teachers strike in February. I just hope that it does not come about. |

| HOLIDAY IN THE MAGIC KINGDOM 2002 Dianne and family and Alistair returned from a holiday in the Magic Kingdom. They all seem to have had a lovely time there . I went up to meet them at the airport and so did Alan, a friend of Dallas'. We had two cars for the luggage and needed them both. More about this holiday as soon as the news filters through to me. So tomorrow it is back to school for the girls, or rather just for katherinne as Colleen does not go on a Thursday but I think this is going to change. |
