Quest for the Crystal

Chapter 5

Demonoid Phenomenon Pt 1

Meet the Creeper

Foreigner stared into the dark woods. He felt scared. There was something out there. His friends left him. Where were they? He felt the balance in the world shifting. Things started to seem much darker. There was a light in the distance. It was becoming brighter. It got closer. It took the shape of a man. He walked towards Foreigner. “Oh young one. Why do you have to live through this?” the man said. His body glowed in a bright aura. “You are worried about your friends. I can guarantee that you won’t see several of them again. If you wish, I can send you to your friends to be with them.” Foreigner understood and wagged his tail. The man smiled. He placed his hand on the wolf’s head and whispered a prayer. A white symbol appeared on the wolf’s fur. The wolf then disappeared into the night.

The man walked through the forest. He found his way to a clearing. In the clearing a table sat. There was a lamp in the center of the table. Its eerie glow gave the place a comforting, yet menacing feel. At the table an old man sat. He was huge. He easily reached six feet tall. He held a staff. Next to him a beautiful woman sat. She was dressed in the armor of a knight. Her light green armor gently reflected the glow of the lamp. Next to her sat a knight, his appearance was young. Yet, his eyes looked old and wise. His white armor seemed to cast a glow of its own. When the knight saw the man walk out of the brush he stood up and kneeled. “Sire, I am not worthy.”

“Get up Lugia. You have served me well. Now is not the time to bow. we are all in grave danger. Golem, I see you brought Celebi.”

“Yes. We need to discuss this.”

“What has happened?”

“Well, Lugia, Celebi, Tyranitar is no longer alive.”

“What do you mean?”

“The dark demon knight Entei has entered the abyss and taken over. He killed Tyranitar.”

“What does this mean?”
“Well, Celebi. This means that Entei is now a god.”

A dry breeze wisped through the wasteland. It offered no comfort. Entei sat on a throne. It was adorned with black roses. The engraving of a skull at the top of the throne glowed dark and menacing. The “palace” was huge. It had no walls. It was only the ruins of a great fort. The spirits flew through the sky. Screams of mourning and pain were sung forever. Gengar walked in. He pulled in with him a huge horned beast. The beast easily towered above everything in the palace. Entei stood up. He looked at the beast. What a pitiful sight. He almost laughed. A huge thirty-foot beast was being carried around like a slave by a mere 5 foot human. Entei walked over to Gengar. He grabbed the chain and took the beast to a cage. In there were 5 more beasts. They each were hideous. Entei let out a huge roar. Immediately Raikou, Kabutops, Doom, Scythe, and Gengar appeared around him. “The time has come! We will enter the human world and conquer. The invasion will begin at dawn!” Entei lifted two staffs. On each were the bloody heads of Mewtwo, former leader of the Knights of Fire, and Tyranitar, a god. His followers cheered. The beasts roared. All creatures dark and unclean roared in celebration. The time has come. The time of awakening. For, these knights were not knights. They were demons. The demons of hell. Lead by the devil in the flesh, Entei.

Scy woke up groggily. He wore a black breastplate. In the center of it was the crystal! Its white glow seemed to give him warmth. He held the sword of the legendary knight Articuno. A medallion appeared around his neck. In the gold medallion an engraving of a Scyther’s claw was etched. He stood up. The dry dirt crunched under his feet. He looked around. He was alone. He saw a light in the distance. It was a blackish glow that seemed to emit from a fort of some sort. It was barely visible. Scy wondered how he got the armor and sword. He vaguely remembered a white knight giving him the sword. The medallion looked curios. It appeared almost like a key. He was exploring his surroundings. Trying to look for any trace of his friends. He was worried about them. His thoughts then trailed to the tavern. Mary, she was there. What happened to her? Why are they here? He took several steps. A demon appeared in front of him. It attacked him. Scy drew the legendary sword and sliced the demon on the leg. The demon howled in pain. A white glow appeared on the cut. It grew, spreading over the demon. The demon shrieked and howled louder. Then the glow enveloped the demon. The demon melted into a pile of ashes. The wind blew the ashes away.

Several hours later Scy reached the fort. He limped after being attacked by every demon possible. He found the cause of the glow. A huge throne. Black roses covered it. “I see you have found my throne.” Entei walked up to Scy. He looked down at the knight. “Where are your friends now? Why aren’t they here to help you? They have abandoned you!”

“No! They haven’t abandoned me!”

“Yes, you are right. Those scum haven’t abandoned you yet. They are my slaves!” Entei snapped his fingers. A demon came out dragging Blast by a chain collar. Blast was beaten bad. Blood was running down his face. The demon kicked Blast. Blast refused to scream. “What do you want with them?”

“Want? I want nothing of them! They are only here to help with some tasks that I need finished. Such as... feeding Iron Head.”

“Iron Head?”

“Oh, you haven’t met my pet?” Entei snapped his fingers. A huge beast walked out. It walked like a gorilla, knuckles dragging on the ground. His head was like a bull. It had long wicked horns. Its head gleamed in the light. It appeared to be made out of metal. “Let the feeding commence.” Entei said. Doom walked out from behind a pillar. He carried Venus in his arms. She was knocked out. A small trickle of blood formed at the corner of her lips.

“Your not going to..”

“Oh yes I am. Doom throw her down!”

“Venus!” Scy ran towards Doom. Doom looked at Entei. Entei nodded. Doom gently set the girl down. He drew his two broad swords. They lit on fire. Scythe and Gengar appeared. Both drew their weapons. Scy prayed to Articuno. He drew his sword. Doom tackled Scy. Doom then stood up and drove one of his broad swords into Scy’s chest. Scy’s eyes widened in horror. The pain was unbearable. Doom twisted the sword. The sword barely touched the crystal. A bolt of holy light flowed through the sword and into Doom. The crystal was sapping the life from Doom and giving it to Scy! Doom turned into a pile of smoking ashes. This time, he was out for good. Gengar roll tackled Scy. Knocking him off his feet. Gengar started to strangle Scy. Then Foreigner jumped out of a portal. He attacked Gengar. Gengar tried to slash the wolf, but couldn’t. The blessing of Articuno flowed strongly through the wolf. The wolf bit Gengar’s Jugular vein. The little man died on the floor. Foreigner trotted over to Scy. Scy thanked him. He stood up, and they both were ready for their next challenge.
