Baingan Bharta

  Ingredients

       1 large bharta brinjal
       1 medium size onion
       2 tbsp oil
       1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
       1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
       coriander leaves to garnish
       3 green Chillies
       salt to taste

  Method
  1. Apply little oil all over the brinjal. Then roast it on the stove till it is cooked from within(i.e it will become black).
  2. Peel off the cover of the brinjal and mash it in a vessel or a bowl.
  3. Add the chopped onions into the mashed brinjal.
  4. Also add the smashed green chillies to it.
  5. Heat the oil and then season it with mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
  6. Pour this hot oil in the prepared mixture of brinjal.
  7. Put salt to taste.
  8. Now mix it properly and then garnish it with coriander leaves to get a dish that will make the brinjal haters love it.
