Go Time: 8/13/08

Cleveland, OH

Rundown Results:
Dark Match - Letty/Shadow b. Chandler/Star
Omar b. Torea
Leach/Danger b. Coquette/Magenta
Wild Wolf b. Alan Mayse

("Planet Hell" opening.)

David: Welcome to Cleveland, Ohio, as MECCA brings to you Go Time! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and we have a huge eight-man main event for you tonight. The Killer Kanines will team with the Lee Brothers to battle Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon.

Dick: Can Austin Lee and Anubis coexist just weeks away from their World Title match at Summertime Showdown? We saw tension starting to brew last week in that tag team battle royale.

David: Also, due to the end of the main event last week, Prince Nana has petitioned Katie Piehl for a tag title shot, and it has been granted. Tonight, the Briscoes will defend against the Surgeons.

Dick: Plus we'll hear from Eddie Crowe, and whole lot more tonight.

("The Walking Dead" hits and the Irish Airborne make their way to the ring.)

David: We're kicking things off with Jake and Dave Crist, who have been on a roll since arriving here in MECCA.

Dick: You have to think that they're one of the teams being considered for the next title shot after Summertime Showdown, whether it's the Briscoes, the Surgeons or Nykk and Fox who hold the gold.

("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)

David: The Pyro Twins are still seeking another shot at the tag titles, though they have been put on the backburner after failing numerous times against the Briscoes earlier in the year. However, a win here could put them back in consideration.

Dick: Jay and Dusty definitely need this win, especially after falling twice to the Irish Airborne in the last couple of months.

(FINISH: The Pyro Twins go for Final Darkness on Jake, but he rolls through and Dave hits them both with a double springboard dropkick. Jake gives Dusty the Double Shot, and then lifts Jay for the Irish Air Raid. Dave goes to the top rope, but Jay avoids the double stomp by escaping the fireman's carry and pushes Jake into Dave. He and Dusty give Jake Final Darkness, and Jay covers for the three count as Dusty intercepts Dave.)

Winners: The Pyro Twins

David: A big win for the Pyro Twins to kick off Go Time, and as disappointing as that is for the Crists, they've still managed to establish themselves as a top level team in a very short time.

(As the Crists get up, Necro Butcher and Yoshiaki Yago make their way to the ring. They attack the Irish Airborne as soon as they step through the ropes, but Jake and Dave fight back. Jake tries to springboard off the ropes, but Necro levels him with a hard right. Yago nails Dave with martial arts kicks, and then knocks him out with a roundhouse to the head. Necro gives Jake a tiger driver as the Pyro Twins stand there watching. When they get up, Dusty shoves Necro, telling him that no one beats up their opponents but them. Yago and Jay also get into it, and a shoving match ensues. Prince Nana comes out to cool everyone down, and finally the Pyro Twins leave the ring.)

Dick: Well, Jay and Dusty didn't appreciate another team getting involved in their business. They may enjoy mauling people, but they love to maul people by themselves. They don't want help from anyone who is not in the House of Lords.

(Nana gets a mic.)

Nana: Just calm down, Pyro Twins, all right? We are all on the same side here. We are all on the same page. But there is one man who has not been on the same page recently, and that is you, Necro! You have been screwing up a lot lately, my friend. You cost me and your partner the tag team belts against the Briscoes a month ago. You need to get with the program or hit the road, because you will be cut from my Consulate! And tonight, you have a chance to redeem yourself when you take on that Washington clam-digger, Bryan Danielson. You soften him up for Jamie Chan at Summertime Showdown so that the Consulate will reign supreme. And if you do, well, I see great things in your future, my friend. Now I've got some shrimp cocktail in the back, so let's go and have ourselves a good time.

(The Consulate exits the ring.)

David: Nana is not too pleased with Necro, but the guy has been fighting his heart out recently, so I don't see what Nana's problem is. When we come back, we'll have a six-woman tag team match.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "You Can't Do That to Me" hits and Kelly Schweickart, Lisa Letty and Shadow make their way to the ring.)

David: We're back with a six-woman tag, and I can't believe what I'm seeing here. After all the complaining Kelly did when she lost the Ladies' Title to Lisa Letty, now she's out here teaming with the House of Lords.

Dick: Kelly has decided that the only thing that matters to her is the Ladies' Title, and you have to wonder if her new associate Sara Del Rey is lurking around somewhere.

("Fall Behind Me" hits and Naomi Leach, Allison Danger and Zoe Alexander make their way to the ring.)

David: Speaking of changes of heart, what about Allison Danger? It was on Rundown where Coquette and Magenta issued an open challenge to Naomi Leach and a partner, and it was Allison who stepped up to help the Ladies' Champion.

Dick: She's eager for an opportunity to prove herself, and she has that chance at the side of Naomi Leach.

(FINISH: Naomi tries to get her hands on Kelly, but she runs and Lisa puts her through the ropes with a high knee to the back as Kelly is taken out with a missile dropkick from Zoe. Shadow then knocks Zoe down with the Interceptor, but she is then given a drop toehold onto the bottom rope by Allison and hit with the Curb Kick. Lisa rolls up Allison for two, and then gives her a clothesline. She goes up for a second rope bulldog, but Allison moves out of the way. She gives Lisa the Shimmering Warlock and covers for the three count.)

Winners: Naomi Leach, Allison Danger and Zoe Alexander

David: Allison wins it for her team, and she just pinned a former three-time Ladies' Champion!

Dick: A good victory for Allison, but still nothing has been settled between Naomi and Kelly, and they will be meeting at Summertime Showdown for the Ladies' Title.

(As Naomi, Zoe and Allison celebrate, Kelly gets back in the ring and gets in Naomi's face. That allows Sara Del Rey to sneak in from behind and send Naomi down with a big boot. Allison and Zoe try to help, but it's four-on-three and Shadow and Lisa take them down. Kelly and Sara stomp away on Naomi, who rolls to the outside. They follow her and fight with her and Zoe. As Shadow is choking Allison on the ropes, Katie Piehl runs down. She spins Shadow around and nails her with a couple of right hands. However, Shadow kicks her in the knee and then knocks her down with a clothesline. She calls for Lisa to hoist her up for the Interceptor, but Katie moves and Shadow nails Lisa. Katie takes Shadow down and starts hitting her with rights as Allison and Zoe pull her off. Shadow gets to the apron, but Katie breaks free and nails Shadow with a running forearm, sending her off the apron and into Sara, Kelly and Lisa on the outside. Finally, officials come down to separate everybody.)

David: We've got a huge brawl between the women of MECCA, and our executor Katie Piehl is showing that she has some fight in her, and Shadow is not going to walk all over her in that unsanctioned fight at Summertime Showdown.

Dick: I don't think Shadow expected that flurry from her. This isn't going to be as easy as she thought.

David: We'll be right back with the tag titles on the line!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Lava" hits and the Surgeons make their way to the ring, along with Prince Nana.)

David: We're back in Cleveland, and a huge opportunity for the Consulate to walk away with some gold tonight.

Dick: This came about because of last week, when Matt Stryker pinned Mark Briscoe. Nana was able to get them a tag title shot out of it, so now it's up to them to capitalize on that momentum.

("Gimme Back My Bullets" hits and the Briscoes make their way to the ring.)

David: The Briscoes are ready to go. They didn't like being embarrassed last week by being beaten, even if it was in a six-man tag.

Dick: Being the standard bearers of the tag team division is something they take very seriously, and it was almost like an affront to them that they lost.

(FINISH: The Surgeons hit the Human Error on Mark again, but as Stryker goes for the cover, Jay dives over John Walters to break it up. Walters lifts Jay for the Hurricane DDT, but Jay escapes and pushes him into Stryker. He goes for the Jay Driller, but Walters counters into a fireman's carry. Jay escapes and lifts Walters onto his shoulders for Mark to hit the springboard Doomsday Device. Mark covers and gets the three count.)

Winners: The Briscoes

David: The Briscoes retain the tag titles and will now definitely go on to face Nykk and Ronin Fox at Summertime Showdown.

Dick: You know the House of Lords has been watching this match, and they want to regain the titles they lost back in February.

(As the Briscoes celebrate, Nykk and Fox hit the ring. They duke it out with the Briscoes and then Nykk throws Mark out of the ring. He helps Fox double team Jay and then whips him into the ropes. Jay ducks under a double clothesline, and Mark hits a springboard double dropkick. Jay sends Fox out of the ring with a yakuza kick and then Mark sends Nykk out with a leg lariat. The Briscoes tell them to bring their asses back in, but Nykk and Fox beg off.)

David: The challengers for Summertime Showdown tried to get the jump on the Briscoes, but the tag champs have managed to fight their way free!

(Jay gets a mic.)

Jay: Hey, House of Lords, you boys wanna fight, why don't you bring your asses back in here? You chickens@*&! But that's okay, because we got you at Summertime Showdown in Sin City!

Mark: You wanna talk about manning up, you boys better be ready to bring it because these belts are going nowhere for a long, long time!

Jay: Just like he said, Nykk, Fox, it's time to man up and in Vegas we'll show you exactly why we're the most dominating team in MECCA history!

David: The Briscoes are ready to take the tag team titles to Las Vegas, but up next the Necro Butcher will attempt to wear down Jamie Chan's opponent for the PPV as he takes on Bryan Danielson!

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Alan Mayse is with Katie Piehl in the office.)

Alan: Katie, I've had it up to here. I worked for months to win that Toughman Title, and Delirious just scoops all my glory and takes the belt away from me. Then at Liberty or Death, he won our Last Man Standing Match on a technicality. And this past week on Rundown, he once again cost me something, and that's my spot on the Contender Star! That's why, for this match at Summertime Showdown, I want to make the match submissions only. I know if I can lock in the Anklebreaker, he will tap. He's done it before. And I will once again be Toughman Champion.

Katie: Alan, I've said it before, you've had shot after shot against Delirious and you've came up short. This is your last shot at him, so I agree. You can have the stipulation if you want. Just remember that it's now or never. If you can't get it done, you'll have to wait until someone else does.

(In the arena, "The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring.)

David: How about that, we have a Submission Match for the Toughman Title at Summertime Showdown. Alan Mayse has his last shot against Delirious, and now here comes a former MECCA World Champion.

Dick: Bryan Danielson has Jamie Chan in a Falls Count Anywhere Match in Las Vegas, and... here comes Necro!

(Necro Butcher runs out and attacks Danielson in the aisle. They brawl around ringside and finally into the ring where the ref calls for the bell.)

(FINISH: Danielson hits a roaring forearm, but Necro fires back with left and right hands. He staggers Danielson and then goes for a chokeslam, but Danielson counters with a Fujiwara armbar and segues into Cattle Mutilation. Necro won't give it up, so Danielson lets up and starts hitting Necro with lethal elbows. He locks in the hold again, but Necro still manages to power himself out. Danielson hits him with more lethal elbows and then locks in a Crossface Chickenwing. Necro is out and the ref drops his hand three times before calling for the bell.)

Winner: Bryan Danielson

David: Bryan Danielson overcomes the challenge of Necro Butcher, and Necro put up one hell of a fight, nearly knocking Danielson out for the win a couple of times.

Dick: Danielson shows his toughness with a strong win here, and he's very ready to settle this with Jamie Chan.

(Prince Nana comes out and berates the Necro Butcher as he exits the ring.)

David: Nana is not happy with Necro, who he was counting on to hurt Danielson tonight. Up next is our main event as EEE takes on the Lee Brothers and the Killer Kanines in eight-man action.

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Katie Piehl is in her office.)

Katie: Hello again, fans. Recently here in MECCA, a number of teams have been banging on my door asking for a title shot. As you know, the Briscoes will defend against Nykk and Fox at Summertime Showdown, but after that it's up in the air. Three teams in particular have been going at it pretty hard over the summer and that's the Pyro Twins, the Irish Airborne and the Consulate. The violence has escalated between these factions and we're going to settle it at Summertime Showdown as well as determine who faces the tag champs after that event. So in Las Vegas, it will be the Pyro Twins against the Irish Airborne against the Consulate... in a TLC Match. Tables, ladders and chairs are all legal and whoever can climb the ladder to reach the briefcase containing the contract for a tag title shot will be your winners. Thank you and enjoy your main event.

(In the arena, "Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)

David: A TLC Match to determine the number one contenders, but what's this? I guess Eddie Crowe's going to say whatever he has to say before our main event.

Dick: Eddie is always welcome here on Go Time, and he did request this time earlier on to speak to the fans.

(Eddie gets a mic.)

Eddie: Thank you for that response, everyone, it's really appreciated. However, I don't feel that it's really deserved because as of late Eddie Crowe has been doing a whole lot of nothing here in MECCA. True I won my feud against Alan, but that was a mere distraction from the big picture, which will always be the World Title. That brings me to the announcement I've been given leave to make, and that's on the Go Time after Summertime Showdown, there will be a Supernova Spectacle. All the men on the Contender Star will go at it and the winner receives a title shot at the September pay-per-view, At Your Own Risk. And I assure all of you that I am winning that match and receiving my shot, whether it's against Anubis or Austin Lee. You see, it's been way too long since...

(A Captain Epsilon remix of "Pump It Up" hits and Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon make their way to the ring in full force.)

David: What is this? EEE is scheduled for the main event, but this is Eddie's time.

Dick: They have Captain Epsilon with them, which can only mean trouble. They like to call him a superhero, but the guy's just a thug in tights.

(Robbie gets a mic.)

Robbie: Eddie Crowe... you want to come out here and say that you're winning the Supernova Spectacle after Summertime Showdown? Guess what... next week you have a singles match scheduled against me. There will be no Eddie Crowe in the Supernova Spectacle because you won't be on the Contender Star by then. But I will. So why don't you step over to the timekeeper's table and take a good look at this next match, because Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon is about to show you how it's done.

Eddie: You're going to show me how it's done? I was MECCA Champion for over a year, and I know how it's done. But you want to show me? Go ahead and show me. I'll be watching from the back, and next week I'm going to destroy you, because you're nothing more than a speed bump on my road to the title!

(Eddie tries to get out of the ring, but Robbie pulls him back in. Eddie hits him with some rights, but EEE swarms him. They feed him to Captain Epsilon, who gives Eddie a wrist clutch exploder. They stomp away on Eddie, but "Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines and the Lee Brothers run down to the ring. They brawl with EEE as the bell rings.)

David: Here we go with our main event! A big eight-man tag, but who is in this match for EEE?

(FINISH: EEE chooses Robbie, Ryan, Gary and Captain Epsilon to participate in the match as Cubby, Omar and Stephie stay at ringside. Near the end, everyone is in the ring brawling with Tristan and Robbie as the legal men. Tristan gives him a cross legged brainbuster, but Ryan makes the save. Austin clotheslines Ryan and picks him up for the Degenerate Driver as Anubis lifts Epsilon for a powerbomb. Gary dropkicks Anubis, causing him to lose his balance and fall backward into Austin, preventing him from hitting the move. Austin gets in Anubis's face, and Anubis piefaces him. A shoving match ensues as Omar and Cubby drag Wolf out of the ring and ram him into the guardrail. Tristan tries to get between Anubis and Austin, but Gary and Ryan come in with double springboard dropkicks from behind, causing them to sandwich Tristan and strike heads with each other. They go down and Robbie gives Tristan the Backpack Stunner. Ryan hits him with a frog splash, and then Robbie covers to get the three count.)

Winners: EEE

David: Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon is victorious after some miscommunication between our main event for Summertime Showdown.

Dick: Austin and Anubis have not been getting along since the tag team battle royale last week and tensions are bound to run high with these two in the same match on August 30.

(EEE exits after the match, and Anubis and Austin continue to blame each other for their loss.)

David: Things are heating up between Austin Lee and Anubis, but hopefully they can save it for Summertime Showdown. We'll see you next week, fans, when Go Time returns to Texas!
