Go Time: 7/2/08

Memphis, TN

Rundown Results:
Dark Match - Danger/Coquette b. Alexander/Star
Nikki Chandler b. Stephie, Ashley Lane
Lee/Crowe/Anubis b. Huh/Robbie/Ryan
Briscoes b. Yago/Necro

("Planet Hell" opening.)

David: MECCA is coming to you from Memphis, Tennessee, and welcome to another edition of Go Time! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and tonight we'll see Anubis defend the World Title in a Four Corners Match.

Dick: We just got word earlier that his challengers will be three men on the Contender Star: Bryan Danielson, Jamie Chan, and Alan Mayse!

David: We'll also see a rematch from this week on Rundown as the Briscoes battle Necro Butcher and Yoshiaki Yago from the Consulate in a non-title match. Plus we'll hear from the man who scored the fall in the main event at Punked Out, Ronin Fox, and much more.

("Pump It Up" hits and Ryan and Robbie make their way to the ring, along with Omar, Cubby, Gary and Stephie. Huh is with them also, and has a chain around his neck. He is being forced to walk to the ring like a dog.)

David: EEE will be in tag team action, and look at Huh. He wants so desperately to be a part of this group he's even allowing them to humiliate him out here in the arena.

Dick: Huh was the victim of an impromptu handicap match at Punked Out, which saw him being pinned by Ryan and Gary. I hope this is all worth it for him.

("The Way I Am" hits and the Lee Brothers make their way to the ring.)

David: Austin Lee is fresh off his victory in Eight-Man Throwdown on Saturday, and he will be going to the main event at Summertime Showdown to face whoever the champion is.

Dick: But tonight he's back teaming with his younger brother Tristan, and they've had their own problems with EEE in recent months.

(FINISH: The Lees go for the Spike Degenerate Driver, but Gary and Cubby distract the ref. Robbie slams Tristan off the top rope, and Huh gets in the ring and attacks Austin from behind. They brawl to the outside, where Austin gets the better of Huh and they brawl out of the arena. Meanwhile, Stephie takes over distracting the ref as EEE each grab a limb of Tristan and launch him high into the air, with Robbie and Ryan hitting a powerbomb/slam combo on the way down. EEE scatters and Robbie gets the three count.)

Winners: Robbie and Ryan

David: EEE wins it thanks to their pledge distracting Austin long enough for them to take advantage of Tristan.

Dick: A tag win goes into the record books for Robbie and Ryan, and Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon is definitely on a roll.

(EEE leaves the ringside area, but Stephie stays in the ring and asks for a mic.)

Stephie: For months now, I've been accompanying Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon to the ring and doing whatever they asked. But now it's my time to step into the ring! And in case you haven't seen Rundown lately, I've already started. But I've yet to get that elusive first win. I was close this past week, but I was pinned thanks to someone who I cannot stand. So Ashley Lane, get out here right now and I'm going to give you the beating that you deserve!

("Misery Business" hits and Ashley Lane makes her way to the ring.)

David: Ashley Lane doesn't appreciate Stephie's words, and she's still looking for a win herself here in MECCA. We'll be right back and see Ashley and Stephie go at it.

(Commercial Break)

(FINISH: Ashley hits Stephie with a flying elbow and then hooks her by the head and leg, attempting to take her over. Stephie escapes and knees her in the midsection. She goes for a reverse DDT, but Ashley escapes and hits a knee of her own. She hits the Ashfall and covers for the three count.)

Winner: Ashley Lane

David: Ashley Lane picks up her first win here in MECCA, a good reward for impressing all of us the last couple of weeks.

Dick: Ashley is a great addition to the ladies' division, and I'm sure we'll be seeing much more of her very soon.

(In the office, Katie Piehl is talking to Ronin Fox.)

Katie: So what you're saying is that you deserve to be the number one contender for the MECCA World Championship?

Fox: Who beat the two-time former tag champs at Punked Out? It was me, Katie. I'm the guy to face the champ for Liberty or Death. Besides, you owe me this one.

Katie: I owe you?

Fox: After having that title taken away from me so unfairly last year, this is the least you can do.

Katie: Really? Okay, hot shot, how about this? Next week, you've signed to wrestle Bryan Danielson here on Go Time, the man who "so unfairly" beat you for the title. If you can get by him, you'll be on the Contender Star and I'll make the main event for Liberty or Death Ronin Fox vs. Anubis for the World Title.

Fox: And what if Danielson wins the title tonight?

Katie: Then you'll get Anubis sooner than expected, because I'll change the match so that you two fight for the title shot right here next week.

Fox: Well, whoever the champion is, at Liberty or Death I'm coming to reclaim what's mine, and I'll show the world that my title reign should never have been interrupted!

(Fox exits.)

(In the arena, "Take It Off" hits and Kelly Schweickart makes her way to the ring.)

David: Kelly Schweickart is on her way out here, and maybe we'll get an explanation of her actions at Punked Out. After Naomi Leach successfully defended the Ladies' Title, Kelly came out to raise her hand and then viciously turned on her and left her lying.

Dick: The always perky Kelly is looking a little more somber tonight. She definitely looks like she has something weighing on her mind.

(Kelly gets a mic.)

Kelly: June 28, 2008 will go down in history as the day that Kelly got her groove back! For those of you who didn't tune in to the pay-per-view, I did what I should have done my first night back. I raised Naomi's hand and then clocked her right in the jaw. But I knew that I had to wait for the right moment, and I believe that time has come. You see, a year ago I was the top lady in MECCA. I won the Ladies' Championship and defended it against all challengers. But when I lost the title, no one stepped forward to help me against the House of Lords, so I was unable to get a fair shot at regaining it. Then, a couple months later I went down to a bad knee injury. Just like none of my peers came to my aid in my time of need, you fans turned out to be no better. I sat at home for eleven months, and I logged onto the Internet every day. Barely any get well emails were sent my way, and in all the discussions I saw about MECCA, not once did I see the question asked, "When is Kelly coming back? How is she doing? Is she even alive?" None of you even cared that I was gone. I was forgotten. But rest assured, I won't let that happen again. I'm not about to stand idly by and be the champion's friend while others get the title shot that is rightfully mine. Naomi Leach, I know you're hot at me. Please, I'm begging you... come try me. I promise you, it will be the last thing you ever do as champion.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Gimme Back My Bullets" hits and the Briscoes make their way to the ring.)

David: We're back on Go Time, and we're set for a non-title rematch. It was on Rundown that the Briscoes defeated the team of Necro and Yago after a hard fought contest.

Dick: The Consulate tandem wanted a rematch, and it looks like we're getting started now!

(Necro and Yago attack the Briscoes in the aisle, and brawl with them as Nana cheers them on.)

(FINISH: Necro sets up a table on the outside and then gets on the apron. Jay jumps to the top rope, but Necro clocks him with a hard right. He brings him to the apron and tries to DDT him through the table, but Mark sends Yago down with a dropkick and then runs over to give Necro a standing enzugiri. Necro rolls into the ring and Mark joins Jay on the outside. They suplex Necro over the top rope and through the table at ringside. Yago goes under the ring and brings out a chair. He waits until Jay gets up and then clocks him with it, but Mark has found a trash can and goes to work on Yago with it. Soon, the three are brawling on the outside, and Necro finally gets up to join the fray. The ref can't get them back into the ring and calls for the bell to throw it out.)

Winner: No Contest

David: This is too out of control, and the ref has put a stop to it after allowing quite a bit of leeway with the rules.

Dick: What a knock down drag out it's been, and these teams aren't finished yet.

(Officials have to come down and separate the two teams, and Nana gets in the ring with a mic.)

Nana: Briscoes! Up here, my friends! Now, as you have seen, my guys Necro and Yago have proven they can take you to the limit. Tonight you were not able to beat them in the middle of the ring, and I know if they have one more chance they can beat you two rednecks. I want one more match, next week, with the titles on the line!

(Jay and Mark yell at Nana from the aisle that it's on next week, and how the Consulate had better man up.)

Nana: That is good, my friends, that is good. Next week, the Consulate will be taking the gold home to Ghana, West Africa, my true conquest of MECCA will begin!

David: We have a challenge accepted for next week, and it will be for the MECCA Tag Team Titles. The Briscoes against Necro Butcher and Yoshiaki Yago one more time! We'll be back with more MECCA action.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Lava" hits and Matt Stryker makes his way to the ring.)

David: We're back, and ready for singles action as Matt Stryker is sans Prince Nana for this one.

Dick: We understand Nana is in the back, finalizing the contract for the tag title match made for next week as the Necro Butcher and Yoshiaki Yago take on the Briscoes.

("Everyday Combat" hits and the Wild Wolf makes his way to the ring.)

David: The Wild Wolf is a former Toughman Champion and Tag Team Champion, and he's looking to get back into the thick of things.

Dick: He's made no announcements as to his plans, so you have to wonder if he's planning on regaining the Toughman Title or will he go after his partner's World Title?

(FINISH: John Walters comes down to ringside as Wolf hits a running boot on Stryker in the corner. He goes for the small package driver, but Walters distracts him by getting on the apron. Wolf sends him off with a high knee and then ducks a clothesline from Stryker, giving him a flapjack. He bounces off the ropes, but Walters trips him and he stumbles into the Stryker Driver. Stryker covers for the three count.)

Winner: Matt Stryker

David: Stryker picks up the victory thanks to his partner, and it looks like Walters didn't appreciate that knee on the apron.

(Walters gets in the ring and starts stomping on Wolf and Stryker soon joins in. They get him up for the Human Error, but the Irish Airborne run in and duke it out with the Surgeons. Dave sends Stryker down with a leg lariat, and they whip Walters into the ropes to hit a double spinebuster. Jake gives Stryker the Double Shot, as Dave gives Walters the Suicide. The Surgeons roll out of the ring as the Crists help up the Wild Wolf.)

Dick: The Crists are at it again. These guys really don't like foul play.

David: It's well documented that Irish Airborne has a strong sense of justice, and couldn't just stand by and let Wolf get double teamed, especially when his partner can't come out because he's preparing for a title match. When we come back, it will be Four Corners for the World Title!

(Commercial Break)

(In the office, Katie Piehl is sitting at her desk when Shadow enters.)

Katie: I was wondering how long it would be before I saw your face.

Shadow: I don't know how your little golden princess did it, but at Punked Out I was robbed of my Ladies' Title. And I want a rematch and I want the contract prepared right now, because Naomi had a handful of tights in our match and I was cheated!

Katie: I thought you said you didn't know how she did it.

Shadow: I'm not in the mood, Katie.

Katie: Then here's your answer. No. It will be no tomorrow. It will always be no as long as I have authority in MECCA. You felt you never lost the title so you deserved a shot... you got it. And you lost fair and square. As far as I'm concerned, no House of Lords member will get near that belt again, especially you.

Shadow: You had better reconsider, Katie. I'm through playing around. Rescind that decision or suffer the consequences.

(Shadow exits.)

(In the arena, "On the Speedway" hits and Jamie Chan makes his way to the ring, along with Prince Nana.)

David: It's main event time, Four Corners with the World Title at stake! Prince Nana has to be happy, because not only is Jamie Chan finally getting the title shot he's been after, but next week his guys get a tag title match with the Briscoes and we just found out that match has been made Anything Goes.

Dick: Nana could be rolling in the gold come next week.

("The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring.)

David: This could explode before the opening bell, as it was Chan once again getting a fluke pin on the American Dragon in Eight-Man Throwdown, after the Briscoes did all the work, of course.

Dick: These two already can't coexist in the same room in the back. I can't imagine what it will be like out here.

("This is Not My Life" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)

David: One important thing has changed since Alan last received a shot at the World Title, and that's the development of that Anklebreaker of his.

Dick: Although with a one fall to a finish type of match, it's going to be difficult to isolate one opponent for a submission.

("Kobrakai" hits and Anubis makes his way to the ring.)

David: We heard earlier that Ronin Fox is jockeying for a World Title match at Liberty or Death, and he'll get it if he can beat Bryan Danielson or Anubis next week, whichever is not the World Champion by then.

Dick: Anubis lost some steam at Punked Out when he and the Wild Wolf fell to the House of Lords, so he really needs to pull it together tonight if he wants to keep his title.

Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Go Time main event! The following contest is a Four Corners Match, one fall to a finish, for the MECCA World Championship! Introducing first, the challengers... accompanied by Prince Nana... from Ghana, West Africa, by way of Cincinnati, Ohio, and weighing in at 191 lbs... Jamiiie Chaaaaan! From Aberdeen, Washington, and weighing in at 190 lbs... he is a former MECCA World Champion.... the American Dragon Bryaaan Danielsoooon! From Fairborn, Ohio, and weighing in at 230 lbs... he is a former MECCA Toughman and Tag Team Champion.... Alaaaan Maaaayse! And from Cairo, Egypt, by way of Detroit, Michigan, and weighing in at 316 lbs... he is the current reigning and defending MECCA World Heavyweight Champion... Anuuuubiiis!

(FINISH: Chan and Danielson's rivalry eventually get the better of them, and they brawl to the back. Anubis goes for an ocean cyclone suplex on Mayse, but he gets free and rolls him up with a rolling prawn. He tries to segue into the Anklebreaker, but Anubis kicks him into the ropes. He kips up and nails Alan with the Ankh Smash. He goes for the Sarcophagus, but Alan escapes and pushes Anubis into the corner. He tries a German suplex, but Anubis elbows him to escape and then nails a backdrop driver. He goes to the top rope and hits the Sphinx Splash, covering for the three count.)

Winner: Anubis

David: Anubis retains the World Title, and now Ronin Fox will face Bryan Danielson next week, if we can find him, with a chance to go against Anubis at Liberty or Death on the line!

Dick: The MECCA World Champion looks unstoppable even when he's faced with three challengers at once. Fox has his work cut out for him if he can get by Danielson.

David: That's all for this week, fans. Join us again next week for more MECCA action here on Go Time!
