("Planet Hell" opening.)
David: We are here in Richmond, Virginia, as MECCA presents another night of Go Time. I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and we have a big tag team contest in the main event tonight as Kevin Stone and Bryan Danielson take on the Pyro Twins!
Dick: And we have an interesting Four Corners Match, as it will pit two teams against each other as it will be Delirious vs. Matt Sydal vs. Robbie vs. Ryan. Plus Katie Piehl makes her first random drawing for the first female team in the Four Corners tag at the MECCA Challenge, plus much more!
("On the Speedway" hits and Jamie Chan makes his way to the ring, along with Prince Nana.)
David: Jamie Chan is back this week after a controversial victory over Tristan Lee at Melee, and he aims to repeat that victory right here tonight.
Dick: The Consulate has been on a roll as of late, as the Surgeons scored a big tag team victory last week thanks to help from Nana's newest member, the Necro Butcher.
("Ballroom Blitz" hits and Tristan Lee makes his way to the ring, along with Austin Lee.)
David: Tristan has brought his brother Austin to watch his back tonight, and he's not waiting!
(Tristan dives into the ring and attacks Chan as the bell rings.)
(FINISH: Chan goes for the Chan Lock, but Lee rolls through and brings Chan back to his feet, giving him a gutbuster and then a German suplex. Nana gets on the apron and Tristan goes after him. The ref gets between them as Austin gets on the apron and knocks Nana down with a right hand. As the ref tries to get Nana out of the way, Tristan ducks a crescent kick from Chan and trips him. He gives him a slingshot right into Austin's boot, which was conveniently placed on the top rope. Tristan then hits the cross legged brainbuster and covers for the three count.)
Winner: Tristan Lee
David: Tristan Lee just pinned Chan, after an assist from his older brother!
Dick: Nana has to be irate about this, but he did get on the apron first. Lee has been waiting for that victory for a long time.
(The Lees embrace and celebrate, and as they're walking up the aisle "Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring. He shakes hands with the Lees as they pass.)
David: Cynric will be taking on his brother Ronin Fox in the MECCA Challenge match on April 26, and he's certainly been frustrated so far, as he cannot get a win over Fox.
Dick: He did get a measure of payback against Yoshiaki Yago last week, but Cynric wants to prove that he is on the same level as his younger brother, and the only way to do that is beat him.
(Cynric gets a mic.)
Cynric: It's always great to come back to Richmond, the place where I won the Toughman Title! So it's only fitting that you guys get to hear firsthand what I'm going to say tonight. Since I was kicked out of the House of Lords, I've had many changes come over me. It made me think about what I've been doing, and where I'm going in the future. Wrestling has been a blessing to me, but it has also been a curse in that it has cost me my time with my wife and kids... my good health... and yes, it has even cost me my family. As enraged as I am at Fox for what he did to me in front of our own mother, I cannot stop thinking about him as my own brother and I will do my best to send him out of the arena in a stretcher in Los Angeles. However, it's got me thinking that I need to take some time and fix those things that are wrong with my life. So win, lose or draw, I will be at the MECCA Challenge... but it will be the last time I step into a MECCA ring. Believe me, I've felt this coming for a while, and the time is right. I know when it's right for me to step away, and step away I shall on April 26. I want to thank all the people who have helped me along the way: Jon Z, MECCA management, Katie Piehl, even Nykk and Fox, but most importantly I want to thank all of you. I couldn't have done it without you all these years whether you loved me or hated me. So rest assured, I'm giving it my all one last time at the MECCA Challenge for you, and I hope that it's...
("Third Reich from the Sun" hits and the House of Lords makes their way onto the stage, looking triumphant. Fox has a mic.)
Fox: Wait a minute, Cynric. Did I just hear that right? After the MECCA Challenge, you'll be out of our hair forever? Far be it from me to interrupt your little pity party, but everyone knows that the reason you've decided to step away is because you're scared. You're scared of how you'll fare in wrestling without me, and without the House of Lords.
Nykk: Cynric, you could never be anything more than a fall guy for your betters. And tonight, I want you to sit back and watch, because your brother will be doing something you could never do, and that's go toe to toe with Anubis later on! Because unlike you, he's no quitter and I know that he can beat the big man, because unlike him, Fox has been a World Champion and that means he can take out anybody!
Cynric: You're right, Nykk, I will watch that. I'll watch that very closely, because I know how to scout my opponents. And at the MECCA Challenge, Fox, yes, it will be my last match. But all that means to you is that I have nothing left to lose. If I'm going out in Los Angeles, you can damn sure bet that I'm going to take you with me!
("Soul Creation" plays as Nykk tries to reassure Fox on the stage.)
David: Cynric has announced his retirement from MECCA, and it will be after the MECCA Challenge IV in just three weeks. We'll miss Cynric here in MECCA, but we certainly wish him the best in all his future endeavors. We'll be right back!
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)
David: We're back on Go Time, and getting ready for a Four Corners Match as Delirious is out here.
Dick: We have two teams competing in a singles environment here...
(As Delirious runs to the ring, EEE suddenly runs out from the back and attacks him from behind. Gary and Cubby whip him into the ring post, and then Robbie hammers him with rights. He gives him to Omar, who whips him into a sleeper takedown from Stephie on the floor. Robbie gets a chair and clocks Delirious over the head with it, knocking him out.)
David: EEE has just taken out Delirious before the match! What are they thinking?
(They try to follow up on Delirious, but Matt Sydal runs out from the back and attacks EEE. He nails them all with right hands and then rolls Robbie into the ring. Gary and Ryan slide in and attack Sydal as the ref calls for the bell.)
Dick: I guess Gary is taking Delirious's place in this match, but that means that EEE has a three on one advantage over Sydal.
(FINISH: Sydal hits a springboard twisting moonsault on Robbie, but Gary breaks it up. He slams Sydal and goes to the top rope. He tries a sky twister press, but Sydal moves out of the way and gives Ryan a step up enzugiri that sends him crashing into Robbie. He hits the Here It Is Driver on Gary, but Robbie breaks it up. He tries a slam, but Sydal tries to counter into the Slice. Ryan attacks him from behind, and Robbie hits a powerbomb, and everyone helps him pin Sydal for the three count.)
Winner: Robbie
David: This was no singles contest, as every member of EEE in the match just helped Robbie get the victory over Sydal.
Dick: One of the founders of EEE just got a big victory, and they're not done with Sydal.
(EEE continues to stomp away on Sydal until Delirious runs out, holding two chairs. He jumps in the ring and cracks Ryan across the back, and then hits Robbie. Sydal grabs the other chair and whacks Gary and Cubby. Stephie calls EEE out of the ring, and Ryan, Robbie and Gary make it out, but Cubby and Omar get caught. Sydal hits a flying knee strike on Omar in the corner, and Delirious follows up with the Panic Attack. They give Cubby a double flapjack and then hit their wheelbarrow moonsault combo.)
David: Delirious has helped his partner clean house, and EEE may have bit off more than they can chew with the former tag team champs.
Dick: Delirious must have woken up in the back, because he has to be hurting after what they did to him earlier, but he managed to come out here and back up Sydal anyway.
(Backstage, the ladies' division is gathered around Katie Piehl who is standing in front of a bowl with crumpled up pieces of paper in them.)
Katie: Okay, you all know why you're here. We've got eight spots available in the Four Corners tag match at the MECCA Challenge IV. The winners of that match will face each other at New Dawn for the Ladies' Title, and I'm going to be selecting the first team in that contest right now. So here we go...
(She reaches in and pulls out a name.)
Katie: The first competitor is Zoe Alexander!
(Zoe celebrates as the rest watch Katie intently as she draws another name.)
Katie: And her partner will be... Sara Del Rey!
(Zoe and Sara high five.)
Del Rey: That's right. Zoe, you and I are going to win this match. We're already friends and we've teamed together before. And if any of you ladies want to test that, what do you say we make a little open challenge for tonight? Zoe?
Zoe: Absolutely. Any two of you who want to test us, come to the ring later. We'll be waiting.
(She and Sara leave together.)
Katie: All right, that's it, ladies. Next week I'll draw another team. Remember, there are only six spots left in this match. Good luck to all of you.
(Lisa Letty, Mercedes Martinez, Magenta, Coquette, Allison Danger, Heather Star and Naomi Leach drift off in different directions but Shadow remains, looking at Katie with disgust.)
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Did My Time" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)
David: We're back on Go Time, and now we have Ronin Fox out here. We found out earlier that he will be taking on Nykk's opponent in the main event of the MECCA Challenge IV, Anubis.
Dick: Nykk is hoping that someone, anyone, can wear down the unstoppable Anubis before he has to face him on April 26.
("Kobrakai" hits and Anubis makes his way to the ring.)
David: Anubis was the winner of the Six Man Apocalypse, a former two-time MECCA Tag Team Champion, and he has his sights set on the World Title held by Nykk.
Dick: Despite the size difference, he has a very difficult opponent to contend with right now, as Fox is a former World Champion himself.
(FINISH: Anubis goes for the Pyramid Lock, but Fox manages to slide between his legs and trap the arms. He spins Anubis around and goes for the Tail End, but Anubis sets him on the top turnbuckle. Fox kicks him away and jumps over him, landing on the mat. He tries a back elbows, but Anubis ducks and plants him with a backdrop driver. He says that it's all over and lifts Fox for the Sarcophagus. However, Nykk runs down and slides into the ring, clipping Anubis's knee. He goes down and drops Fox as the ref calls for the bell.)
Winner: Anubis
David: Anubis was about to finish off Fox, but now Nykk is going to work on him.
Dick: It looks like this was the plan all along. Now we have two World Champions in there beating down the big man.
(Nykk and Fox go for a double suplex on Anubis, but the Wild Wolf runs down and gives them a double dropkick to their heads. He rolls out of the way, and Anubis suplexes both of them. Nykk gets up in the corner, and Wolf charges in with a big boot. He throws him into Anubis, who clotheslines Nykk. Wolf then lifts Fox, and they hit the big boot/brainbuster combo. Nykk and Fox roll out of the ring and retreat.)
David: Thankfully the Wild Wolf was around, and he wasn't about to let the House of Lords dismantle his tag team partner!
(Anubis gets a mic.)
Anubis: Nykk... you are really starting to annoy me. And I know that's what you want, to distract me from my goal of taking that World Title from around your waist in just three weeks, and I've been on to what you've been doing sending your guys against me from the beginning. I've talked with Katie Piehl, and we decided it's time to turn the tables. So next week, it will be you in action, and you will be facing the man standing next to me, my tag partner the Wild Wolf!
Dick: Nykk takes on a former Toughman Champion the Wild Wolf next week? I can't wait for that one!
Anubis: So take that time and think about that match, because I have faith that my partner can beat you, and after that, I'll see you on the 26th when I make that title mine!
David: A big match scheduled for next week, but when we return we'll see some ladies' tag action.
(Commercial Break)
(Shadow, a man and a suit and Nykk are coming down the hallway. Nykk has an icepack on his neck.)
Nykk: You do realize that I'm not having a good night, right? Whatever this is for, it had better be good.
(They storm into Katie Piehl's office, where she hangs up her cell phone.)
Katie: If it isn't my favorite merry band of troublemakers...
Shadow: Shove it, Katie. I have brought my lawyer, Bilford F. Slimon, with me here to serve you with a notice. If you do not put me in this drawing for the Four Corners tag at the MECCA Challenge, I will sue you for discrimination. I should still be the MECCA Ladies' Champion, and if I don't get my chance, I'm going to take you for everything you own.
(Katie looks at Nykk.)
Nykk: Yeah.
Slimon: My client, Ms. Shadow, has been treated unfairly time and time again by this company. I have all your interactions from the past three years on the show on tape, and am prepared to put it out as evidence before a grand jury if my client is not pacified.
Nykk: Yeah.
Katie: I guess you must be really selfish, Shadow. To put this whole company at risk because you didn't get your way. I'll tell you what, there will be negotiations, because this is my final offer. Thanks to Mr. Slimon here, I'm reminded that you have been in my face, getting on my nerves and impeding what I've been trying to build for three years now, and quite frankly, I'm sick of it. I'm putting your name in the drawing for the MECCA Challenge IV, but if you're chosen and you take the fall in the match, you will be out of MECCA forever. Your contract will be cancelled, and you can go be a zit on someone else's ass. That's my only offer.
Nykk: Agreed. That's fine, Katie, because one way or the other, the House of Lords is taking that title back.
Shadow: Wait a minute...
Nykk: Now that that's settled, I think I need more ice.
(He and Slimon exit, while Shadow turns back to Katie.)
Katie: You can see that the quality of your friends is finally paying off for you.
(In the arena, "Filthy/Gorgeous" hits and Coquette and Magenta make their way to the ring.)
David: I don't know that Shadow wants to take that kind of gamble, but nonetheless, she is being entered into the drawing to determine the teams for the MECCA Challenge IV.
Dick: Two hopefuls for that match are out here now with the Fun from Down Under, Magenta, and the French Fashion Plate, Coquette.
("Alcoholocaust" hits and Sara Del Rey and Zoe Alexander make their way to the ring.)
David: We found out the first team for the MECCA Challenge earlier, and it is these two. They made an open challenge for any two ladies who wanted to face them tonight, and Coquette and Magenta have answered the call.
Dick: They certainly have their hands full with Zoe Alexander and the American Angel.
(FINISH: Sara gets Coquette up in the Royal Butterfly, but the ref informs her that she's not legal. Magenta attacks Sara from behind and rolls her up, but the ref says Sara isn't legal either. Zoe scoops up Magenta and plants her with the Zoetrope. She covers and gets the three count.)
Winners: Sara Del Rey and Zoe Alexander
David: Del Rey and Alexander prove to be an effective team, taking down the more experienced team of Coquette and Magenta.
Dick: It may be short lived, because if they win at the MECCA Challenge IV, they'll be facing each other at New Dawn for the title.
David: We'll be back with the main event. The Pyro Twins take on Kevin Stone and Bryan Danielson when we return.
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with Eddie Crowe.)
Bill: Eddie, last week Alan Mayse issued his challenge for a Toughman Title match, and he wants to win it at the MECCA Challenge IV. Do you have a response for us?
Eddie: It's obvious that Alan wants the most glory possible, and what better date to choose than the MECCA Challenge? Alan, yes you were a great first champion for this belt, and it's always eaten you alive that your title reign was overshadowed by mine. But now I'm the Toughman Champion, and you're just going to have to deal with the fact that you'll never be better than me. So I accept. This belt is going on the line at the MECCA Challenge IV, but beware, Alan... I've never been beaten at the MECCA Challenge, and this year will be no exception.
(In the arena, "Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)
David: It's official now, Eddie Crowe vs. Alan Mayse for the Toughman Title at the MECCA Challenge IV, but here comes Eddie's brother Jay, along with his tag team partner Dusty Schneble.
Dick: The Pyro Twins have a guaranteed title shot coming up after winning that Gauntlet series at Melee, and they plan to collect on the Briscoes soon.
("The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson and Kevin Stone make their way to the ring.)
David: It was this team that the Pyro Twins beat in that final match in the Gauntlet, and they want some payback after coming so close to a title shot.
Dick: Stone and Danielson want to keep the House of Lords away from those tag titles, and as we've seen in the past they'll do anything to accomplish that.
(FINISH: Danielson and Stone hit their Regalplex/clothesline combo on Jay, and then Danielson hits Dusty with European uppercuts as Stone sets up Jay for the Stone Cutter. Danielson bounces off the ropes, but Dusty catches him with the Rope Burn I. As Stone lifts Jay, Dusty clips the knee and Stone goes down. They give him Final Darkness, and Jay covers for the three count.)
Winners: The Pyro Twins
David: The Pyro Twins win it, and they're not finished yet!
(The Pyro Twins continue to pound away on Danielson and Stone, and shove the ref down. After a few moments, the Briscoes run out and slide into the ring. They send Dusty down with a double shoulder tackle, and then catch Jay Crowe with a double uranage suplex. The Pyro Twins roll out of the ring as Jay Briscoe gets the mic.)
Jay: Pyro Twins, you boys ain't getting away with your shenanigans on our watch. We are the Briscoes, the MECCA Tag Team Champions, and it seems like you fellas are owed a title shot. Well, having these belts means nothing if we can't prove that we're the best in the damn world, so let's settle this once and for all. April 26, the MECCA Challenge IV... you guys have won once, and we've won once. Let's man up with the belts on the line this time!
David: The Briscoes are going to give Jay and Dusty their title shot in three weeks at the MECCA Challenge IV! What a match added to the card that will already see Eddie Crowe vs. Alan Mayse and Nykk vs. Anubis. We'll see you next week, fans!
