Rundown Results:
Jamie Chan b. Mark Briscoe
Kevin Stone b. Ryan Andrews, Jay Briscoe
Alexander/Martinez/Del Rey b. Danger/Coquette/Magenta
Eddie Crowe b. Robbie Reno
("Planet Hell" opening.)
David: MECCA has come to Detroit, Michigan, having just returned from Ignition in Toronto, where a new MECCA Champion was crowned. I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and who could even think that it would be Nykk to become the first ever two-time champion in MECCA history?
Dick: Bryan Danielson was defeated at Ignition, and the American Dragon is enraged about that. However, he will get a chance for some payback tonight. As a result of his and Cynric's win over Nykk and Fox last week, there will be a rematch in the main event, this time with the tag titles on the line.
David: Also tonight, the Ladies' Title is up for grabs as Shadow defends against "Heavenly" Heather Star, plus Austin Lee vs. Jamie Chan and much more later tonight.
("At the Helm" hits and Robbie Reno and Ryan Andrews make their way to the ring.)
David: We're kicking things off with tag team action, and the team of Robbie Reno and Ryan Andrews.
Dick: Ryan is fairly new to MECCA, but Robbie is a former tag team champ. He's been trying to encourage Ryan recently, as he's been feeling some regret about entering the wrestling world.
("Hit That" hits and Huh and Joey Sprinklers make their way to the ring, shoving each other as they come down the aisle.)
David: Huh and Joey did not have a good time at Ignition as they were wasted by one man in a handicap match, that man being Eddie Crowe. They attacked each other after the match, but they had already signed on for this one last week, so here they are.
Dick: I think this team is pretty much done, since there is no House of Lords to protect them or keep them in line, plus the fact that they haven't been a very successful team at all.
(FINISH: Joey goes for Da Sprinklanator on Ryan, but Robbie shoves Huh into him. Joey drops Ryan and then whaps Huh upside the head, causing Huh to shove him back. Robbie gets Joey in a position for a reverse DDT as Ryan dropkicks Huh out of the ring. Ryan helps lift Joey into the air and then moves behind Robbie as he drops Joey down with a reverse suplex right across Ryan's knee. Robbie then lifts Joey onto his shoulders and Ryan springboards to the top rope, taking Joey down with a blockbuster. He covers and gets the three count.)
Winners: Robbie Reno and Ryan Andrews
David: A victory for the team of Ryan and Robbie, and that has to be encouraging for young Ryan.
Dick: But it's another loss for the team of Joey and Huh, and this may be the last straw.
(Joey berates Huh for not saving him and starts slapping him in the face again. Huh warns him, but Joey keeps on slapping, and finally Huh pops Joey right in the face. Joey goes down, and Huh gets on top of him, pounding him with rights. They roll to the outside of the ring, where they continue their brawling.)
David: It's broken down between these two again, and while we get them separated, we're going to take a quick break.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Gimme Back My Bullets" hits and the Briscoes make their way to the ring.)
David: The Briscoes are back in Detroit, and they are coming off a huge victory at Ignition. After months of being turned back by the Pyro Twins at every turn, they finally scored a victory over them in tag team competition.
Dick: And by doing so, they've kept themselves alive in the tag title hunt. But I don't think they're done with the Pyro Twins by a long shot.
(Jay gets a mic.)
Jay: As of Saturday, myself and my brother Mark have proven that the Pyro Twins are not invincible! Jay, Dusty, we beat you boys within an inch of your lives at Ignition, and from this point on, that's how it's gonna be every time we step in the ring together. But while we may not be done with you, there's something we want just a little more than the accolades of being the best team in MECCA. What we want is the MECCA Tag Team Championship!
Mark: Nykk, Fox, you got past us because of the Pyro Twins. But now that they're out of the way, you better be ready to give us our rematch, cause we gonna hurt you boys and take those belts. Man up! Man up! Man up!
(Nykk walks out onto the stage with a mic, and wearing his two belts around his neck.)
Nykk: Man up? Man up? You two better quit pretending that you're even in league to be called the best team in MECCA. Yeah, I may have beaten the unbeatable at Ignition and am now wearing the World Title formerly belonging to Bryan Danielson, but if you think that means I've lost focus on these tag team belts, you've got another thing coming. The fact is, Briscoes, you couldn't take these titles from the Pyro Twins. You couldn't take these titles from Matt Sydal and Delirious. And you damn sure couldn't take these belts from myself and Fox. However, since Kate Piehl is still on this fairness kick and all, she says I have to give you two an opportunity to get another shot. And as much as I hate, I HATE, taking orders from her again, myself and Ronin Fox do not sweat two toothless, smelly rednecks. And yes, you may have gotten the victory over the Pyro Twins, but if you remember correctly, they beat you in a Triangle Match at At Your Own Risk, in the tag match at Scared Stiff, and in the mixed tag at End of the Line. So if we put you in the ring with them again, I think we all know what the outcome would be. So let's try something different. If one of you can score at least one victory over the Pyro Twins in singles matches, you'll get one last shot at our tag belts. No, don't even bother thinking it over. This is what I've decided, and this is the way it's going to be. And the first match is happening right now. All one of you has to do is beat Jay Crowe in the middle of that ring, and you'll get your shot. Jay!
("Burning Times" hits and Jay Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: Jay Crowe of the Pyro Twins has been chosen for this first contest. If one of the Briscoes beat him, they can get their title shot.
Dick: That's a tough order to fill, as Jay is an impressive singles wrestler himself even if he does concentrate on his team with Dusty.
(The Briscoes confer in the ring, and finally they decide that Mark will be the one to take Jay on.)
(FINISH: Jay hits Mark with some vicious headbutts, but Mark fires back with some thrusts to the throat and a back heel kick to the head. Jay goes down, and Mark hits a kneedrop, covering for a two count. He picks Jay up and goes for the Cutthroat Driver, but Jay escapes and lifts Mark for the Overhaul. Mark kicks off the turnbuckles to escape and rolls up Jay, but Jay reverses and gets the three count.)
Winner: Jay Crowe
David: Jay reverses a rollup out of nowhere and gets a surprise three count on Mark Briscoe.
Dick: I guess this means no title shot for the Briscoes, unless Jay can get past Dusty Schneble next week.
David: When we come back, the Ladies' Title is on the line as Shadow defends against Heather Star. We'll be back with more action!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Tristan Lee is talking to the Wild Wolf back at catering when Prince Nana enters.)
Nana: Tristan Lee, just the man I wanted to see!
Tristan: Wolf, could you give us a minute, mate?
(Wolf nods and walks away.)
Nana: If you don't know, I am Prince Nana of Ghana, West Africa. I have been scouring the very arenas of MECCA looking for the best men possible to be a part of my Consulate. I've already got Matt Stryker and John Walters, the best tag team in MECCA, and for the last several weeks I have been keeping my eye on you. Young Tristan Lee, a shining example of potential that I can mold into someone worth talking about, huh? The Consulate is where the money is, my friend. What do you say we negotiate some kind of deal?
Tristan: A deal? And, uh, where is my brother in this deal?
Nana: Forget about your brother, I am talking about the cash. The long limousines, the airplane jets! I see you as someone who can enjoy the life I am offering to you. But not your brother.
Tristan: Then I have to say thanks, but no thanks. There's no amount of quid in the world that can make me leave the side of my brother. Try your luck elsewhere, sunshine.
(Tristan leaves.)
Nana: Sunshine? You fool! You do not know who you are dealing with!
(In the arena, "Dance Commander" hits and Heather Star makes her way to the ring.)
David: The Ladies' Title will be on the line, and Heather Star earned this opportunity last week as per the deal reached with Shadow, when she pinned Lisa Letty.
Dick: But you see her favoring that neck, which Lisa injured after the match was over. Heather has a lot of heart, but the House of Lords made sure she's at a distinct disadvantage tonight.
("Gangsta Bitch" hits and Shadow makes her way to the ring.)
David: Shadow and Ronin Fox failed to win the Mixed Tag League at Ignition, which means now Shadow has Naomi Leach gunning for her and her title, should she get past Heather Star tonight.
Dick: She's going to have to scramble to think of some kind of plan, because she was so confident that she was going to win the Mixed Tag League and veto Naomi's challenge.
(FINISH: Shadow goes for a superplex, but Heather shoves her to the mat and hits the Falling Star Press. However, the impact jars her neck, and delays her in making the cover. When she finally does, she only gets a two count. She picks up Shadow, but gets her eyes raked. Shadow whips her into the ropes, but Star ducks under a clothesline and nails Shadow with a leg lariat. She puts Shadow on her shoulders for Greetings from Heaven, but she can't hold her and Shadow escapes. She hits the Skullbuster and locks in the Dragon Sleeper, falling back with the body scissors. After a few moments, Star taps out.)
Winner: Shadow
David: Shadow retains the Ladies' Title, and it looks like the work Lisa did last week paid off.
Dick: But look, she's still not letting go of the hold!
(Shadow keeps the hold locked in on Star as referee Nikki Alvarado calls for the bell again and tries to pry Shadow off. Finally, Naomi Leach runs down and slides into the ring. She hits Shadow with right hands, forcing her to let go. Shadow gets to her feet and dukes it out with Naomi. Naomi bounces off the ropes, and Shadow tries the Interceptor. Naomi blocks it and hits an enzugiri, sending Shadow out of the ring.)
David: Thank goodness Naomi Leach was around before Shadow could do any more damage to the neck of Heather Star.
Dick: Naomi has that guaranteed title match whenever she wants, and Shadow has no idea when that challenge is coming.
David: When we come back, we'll hear from Anubis, plus more here on Go Time!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Anubis.)
Bill: Anubis, you were unsuccessful in your attempt at the Toughman Title at Ignition, but I understand you have bigger plans in the weeks to come.
Anubis: Bill, I have to give credit to my partner and even to Alan for the contest they put up at Ignition. But I decided the only way I'm going to cement my legacy as a singles competitor here in MECCA is to win the big prize. The MECCA World Championship! And we've got Bloody Valentine coming up on February 23, which means the Six Man Apocalypse, with the winner getting the title shot at the MECCA Challenge IV. Need I say more? Your first participant in Six Man Apocalypse is Anubis, and I'm going to mow through everyone in my journey to become the champion. Take heed, MECCA, because at Bloody Valentine when you see the form of Anubis, you will know that your end is near.
(In the office, Katie Piehl is standing in front of her desk.)
Katie: Good evening, fans, and thank you once again for joining us. I have a couple of announcements that I'm sure you'll be excited about. As Anubis just so succinctly put it, February 23 will be Bloody Valentine, which was MECCA's first ever pay-per-view event three years ago. It has come to hold the annual Six Man Apocalypse, and yes, the winner will be granted a title match at the MECCA Challenge IV in Los Angeles. But before we get there, the annual Go Time event in which every champion in MECCA defends their titles is coming up, and will be in two weeks on February 6. As always, the challengers will be based on their win/loss record the previous year, with the top singles, lady and tag team competitors getting title shots at the top belts in those divisions and the person with the second best singles record getting a shot at the Toughman Title. So I invite you all to join us in two weeks for Go Time: Championship Edition! For now, we leave you for another break, but stay tuned for more of the MECCA action you crave when we come back.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "On the Speedway" hits and Jamie Chan makes his way to the ring.)
David: Well, Ignition didn't work out quite as Jamie Chan planned, after he was dumped on his head and pinned by Kevin Stone in that Anything Goes match.
Dick: I can't believe he's here to compete tonight. This Chan's a tough kid for sure, and it looks like the crowd has been coming along on him as well.
("The Way I Am" hits and Austin Lee makes his way to the ring.)
David: And his quest continues to prove himself against the top tier of MECCA, but I don't like his chances tonight after the beating he took at Ignition.
Dick: Lee is on a roll after winning the Mixed Tag League, and he has not yet stated just what title he'll be going after or when.
(FINISH: Chan tries a superkick, but Lee catches his foot. He spins Chan around and goes for a clothesline, but Chan ducks and hits a jumping spin kick that staggers Lee. He whips Lee into the ropes and puts his head down, but Lee catches him and gives him the Degenerate Driver. He covers for the three count.)
Winner: Austin Lee
David: Just like that, it's over and Austin Lee is your winner.
Dick: That probably didn't do Chan's neck any favors, and I think we all knew there was no kicking out of that.
(Lee gets a mic.)
Austin: All I have to say about you, Chan, is that Stone was right. You are one tough bastard! Sometime when you're at a hundred percent, let's do this again. Now as you all know, at Ignition myself and Naomi Leach won the Mixed Tag League, thus earning a guaranteed title match of our choice. Nykk, you know that I'm coming for you. After months of avoiding me and then winning the belt from Bryan Danielson on Saturday, the timing is just too perfect. And since I don't need to win the Six Man Apocalypse to claim my title shot, I'm taking my World Title match at Bloody Valentine. So you had better be ready, Alpha Wolf. Because now is the time of Austin Lee, and at Bloody Valentine it will be very appropriate because I plan on leaving you broken and bloody, and I will be taking the gold home with me.
David: Strong words from Austin Lee, the new number one contender to the MECCA Championship, but up next it's our main event. Nykk and Ronin Fox defend the MECCA Tag Team Championship against Bryan Danielson and Cynric!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Medea Knight.)
Bill: Medea Knight, we haven't seen you in a while, and the last news we had is that you sold the contracts of your team the Surgeons to Prince Nana. What have you been up to this entire time?
Medea: Bill, a new darkness is coming for MECCA. True, I sold the contracts of my only tag team, but I didn't sign any no-compete clause. I have been scouring the wrestling world for a team that I can take to all new heights, and I've found them. And in a couple of weeks, the entire world will see the darkness... they will see the violence... they will see the Bloodlust.
(In the arena, "The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson and Cynric make their way to the ring.)
David: The tag titles are on the line, and of course this team of Danielson and Cynric hold a victory over the tag team champs from last week here on Go Time, and Katie Piehl wasted no time in granting them a title shot.
Dick: The House of Lords once again hold every title in MECCA except the Toughman Title, and Katie Piehl wants to get those belts off of them in any way possible.
("Third Reich from the Sun" hits and Nykk and Ronin Fox make their way to the ring.)
David: Nykk has a different worry coming up, as Austin Lee has taken his title shot for Bloody Valentine on February 23 in Dayton.
Dick: The very place that Austin Lee became the final RCW Champion by beating Nykk. But that was a different time for these two. Now they'll go at it with the World Title at stake.
(FINISH: Danielson gets Nykk in the triangle choke and starts hammering him with elbows, but Fox breaks it up with a dropkick. Cynric hits Fox with some chops and whips him into the ropes. He spins and drops to one knee, elbowing Fox in the midsection. He backhands him in the face and then spins and sweeps the legs. He and Danielson whip Nykk into the ropes and put their heads down, but Nykk slides between Cynric's legs and trips him, segueing into the Cedarleaf. Fox tries to hold Danielson from making the save, but Danielson hammers on Fox's head with elbows until he's released, and then breaks up the move. He whips Nykk into the corner and hits a charging European uppercut. Meanwhile, Cynric gets upon the apron, and Fox jumps to the second turnbuckle, springboarding into a Tail End on Cynric on the apron. Cynric falls to the mat as Fox slides back into the ring. Danielson goes for Cattle Mutilation on Nykk, but he pushes Danielson into Fox, who tries a Tail End. Danielson throws Fox into Nykk, but Fox rolls under a knee from Danielson and leaps to the top rope, hitting the Fox Fire. He covers Danielson and gets the three count.)
Winners: Nykk and Ronin Fox
David: The House of Lords retain, but it was not Nykk who was able to score the decisive fall.
Dick: Nykk needs to depend on Ronin Fox now more than ever since he has two titles to defend. And what will this mean for him at Go Time: Championship Edition coming up in two weeks?
David: He probably has to defend both of his titles, but I guess we'll find out for sure next week. We'll see you then, fans!
