(Brand new "Planet Hell" by Nightwish opening.)
David: Three years ago this week, MECCA entered the wrestling world with a program called Go Time, and now we come back for year number four, starting right here in Jacksonville, Florida! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and we know that tonight we'll see one of the semi-final matches in the Mixed Tag League take place as Ronin Fox and Shadow take on Matt Sydal and Daizee Haze.
Dick: We'll also have a new addition to the ladies' division of MECCA as none other than international superstar Allison Danger debuts.
David: Plus six-man tag team action as Kevin Stone, Eddie Crowe and Delirious face Jamie Chan and the Surgeons.
("I've Got the Power" hits and Katie Piehl makes her way to the ring.)
David: We're kicking things off as now the only authority in MECCA, Katie Piehl, is out here to address this crowd.
Dick: Katie had quite a year, as she was ousted from ownership of MECCA in April, but by the end of the year she had been hired back as MECCA Executor and had regained the power over these shows.
(Katie gets a mic.)
Katie: I just had to come out here and stand in this ring just like I did three years ago in Dayton. What a ride it's been since then, but I promise all of you that MECCA is only going to get bigger and better in the coming year. On behalf of myself and the rest of the MECCA crew, thank you very much for your support! As for tonight, there are some great matches planned, and in the main event, it will be a collision of two of the top tag teams in MECCA over the last year, as the Briscoes will take on the Killer Kanines! Of course, the semi-finals of the Mixed Tag League will start as Matt Sydal and Daizee Haze face Ronin Fox and Shadow, and in six-man action...
("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)
David: Here comes the owner of MECCA, the man who used to have complete authority until Katie Piehl came back as the Executor, Nykk. And he lost that power when the House of Lords lost the best of five series at End of the Line.
Dick: He's taken some measures over the last couple weeks to ensure that the House of Lords survives. He downsized by several members, entered two teams into the Mixed Tag League, and even got Dusty Schneble a title match last week, which he lost against Bryan Danielson.
(Nykk also gets a mic.)
Nykk: Let's see, hmm... something about this seems familiar. Oh, yeah... as I recall, it was three years ago when I opened up the very first MECCA show and it was you who came out and interrupted me. Well, let me finally return that favor. You see, Katie...
(Katie gets in Nykk's face.)
Katie: That's Ms. Piehl to you!
Nykk: Fine. Ms. Piehl... since day one, you've tried to do everything in your power to take me out of the equation, yet here I still stand, after you took away my authority three years ago, after you tried to take away my ownership for dating Lisa, after you tried to destroy the House of Lords with that best of five series... I'm still here, if I'm going to be treated like any other employee, then I demand to be treated equally, or I will smack you with a lawsuit so hard it'll leave litigation streaks on your face. And since you will treat me equally, that means that I have to get what I rightfully deserve, and that's a shot at the MECCA Championship. I can already see you're grooming Stone for the next title match, but in case you forgot, I beat him just a few weeks ago. I'm on the Contender Star, I'm on a roll, and I want my title shot.
Katie: You want to face Bryan Danielson? Right now we have this thing going on called the Mixed Tag League. You might remember it, because you and your bitch girlfriend lost in the first round. But Bryan Danielson and Sara Del Rey did advance, and next week will be facing Austin Lee and Naomi Leach in the semi-finals. If he wins, he'll be in the finals at Ignition, which means that the World Title will not be on the line at that event. If he doesn't win, yes, you are next in line for a title shot, so at Ignition you'll get it, but if there is no title match, you'll just have to wait for a later date. And if he wins next week, well, Austin Lee has been waiting patiently to get his hands on you, and so I think he would be the perfect opponent for you at Ignition! Now, speaking of being treated equally, in all this excitement with the best of five series, and you playing the MECCA version of the Apprentice, you seem to have forgotten that you're one half of the tag team champions. And since I love treating everyone in this company equally, if Danielson's going to defend his title against you, I think it's only fair that I give some deserving team a shot at you and Fox. And since we already have a lovely main event set up tonight between the Briscoes and the Kanines, let's just make it for a shot at those tag titles you hold so dear right here on Go Time next week!
Nykk: Wait, wait, the Kanines haven't teamed regularly for a while, and the Briscoes have lost time and time again against Jay and Dusty...
Katie: Would you rather face the Pyro Twins next week?
Nykk: Well, no, I mean...
Katie: Don't worry, I'll spare you having to answer that difficult question. The bottom line is, if you want your title shot, you're putting those belts up for grabs next week. Take it or leave it.
Nykk: Okay, we'll face the winners of the main event. And before I get out of here, I've got something to say to you, Bryan Danielson. It was a year ago that you attempted to thwart plans I so carefully set up, and though you thought you were acting in the best interests of MECCA, after I unveiled the House of Lords, you continued to plague me. Now I'm coming to get back that...
(Suddenly, Cynric comes in from the crowd and slides into the ring. He tackles Nykk and starts pummeling him with right hands.)
David: Cynric is here! We saw him fight off Nykk and the Pyro Twins last week, and now he's taking out his frustrations over being fired from the House of Lords!
(Nykk scrambles to get out of the ring and Cynric gets a mic.)
Cynric: Nykk, two weeks ago you fired me from the House of Lords, after months spent doing everything you wanted, and taking a backseat to you, Alan and even my own brother. Well, I had some time to think about it, and I've come to realize that you did me a hell of a favor. No longer do I have to worry about pleasing you or Fox. But that doesn't mean I'm letting you get away with what you did. Now the only person I aim to please is me, and I'm going to start by beating the hell out of the new number one contender. Get back in here, because I want a match right here on MECCA's third anniversary!
(Nykk throws his jacket down in the aisle and slides into the ring. They go at each other as Katie waves an official down to begin the match.)
(FINISH: Cynric goes for a thrust kick, but Nykk catches his foot. He throws it away, and Cynric spins around with an enzugiri. He gives Nykk the Shock Cannon, but Nykk is too close to the ropes and grabs them. Cynric attempts to drag him off, and the ref tries to separate them. Nykk takes the opportunity to hit a low blow, undetected. As Nykk argues with the ref, Cynric flies at him and sweeps the legs. He hits Nykk with furious rights and then gets up. He grabs Nykk's feet and drives a knee right below the belt, causing the ref to call for the bell.)
Winner: Nykk
David: The referee has disqualified Cynric, but it was Nykk who hit the low blow first!
Dick: Cynric lost his head there, and he paid the price.
(As Nykk writhes on the mat, Cynric goes under the ring and gets his bo. He gets back in the ring and charges Nykk, who pulls the ref in front of him. Cynric takes out the ref with the bo as Nykk gets out of the ring and runs up the aisle.)
David: The owner of MECCA is out of here, and Cynric will have to wait another day for revenge.
Dick: It looks like no one's walking away from this without feeling pain, the ref included!
David: We'll have six-man tag team action when we return.
(Commercial Break)
(In the locker room, Robbie Reno enters and finds Ryan Andrews sitting on a bench, staring at the floor and looking depressed.)
Robbie: Hey, Ryan. Everything okay?
Ryan: Hmm? Oh, I'm just a little tired.
Robbie: That's right, you still go to college, don't you?
Ryan: Yeah. I'm in school, but I love wrestling. It's kind of hard balancing the two, you know? I'm usually in class during the week, and I'm wrestling at shows every weekend, and sometimes on weekdays when I'm here in MECCA. It just makes me feel like I'm missing out sometimes, you know? I'm twenty years old, and I should be out at frat parties every weekend. I do kind of miss the booze, the music, and especially the girls.
Robbie: I hear that, man. Sometimes I think I need to have a little more fun with this job myself. What do you say we put our heads together and find some way to lift this depression? Just try and come up with some ideas, and we'll be at the top of the tag team division in no time and have all the girls we want.
Ryan: Okay. Yeah, that sounds good.
Robbie: Cool, I'll see you later then. (looks around) Now what did I come in here for?
(In the arena, "On the Speedway" hits and Jamie Chan and the Surgeons make their way to the ring, accompanied by Prince Nana.)
David: We're back on Go Time, and it's time for a six-man tag match and it looks like Chan is distancing himself from the antics of Prince Nana.
Dick: Chan has gotten a lot more ambitious as of late. He's taken on some of MECCA's top stars and gotten his ass handed to him every time, but you have to give him credit because he keeps coming back for more.
("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe, Kevin Stone and Delirious make their way to the ring.)
David: Eddie Crowe was incensed that Joey Sprinklers and Huh attacked him and took him out of the eight-man at End of the Line, and they showed good sense by not showing up here tonight, since they no longer have the protection of the House of Lords.
Dick: And what about Stone? He's still angry with Chan about that kendo stick attack a few weeks ago, and I'm sure he would love another chance to take him on one on one.
(FINISH: Delirious pushes Walters off the top rope and into the barricade as Chan whips Eddie into the corner. He hits a Saitama Kick, but Eddie blocks the superkick and spins him around, hitting the backslide bomb. He picks Chan up and lifts him for the running brainbuster. Delirious bounces off the ropes and hits BAM! on Chan, just before Eddie drops him with the move, and Kevin then comes down with a senton splash across the chest. Chan rolls out of the ring as Stryker clotheslines Stone and Delilrious from behind. He goes for a hurricanrana on Eddie, but he counters with a powerbomb. He hits the Eddie Dive and covers for the three count.)
Winners: Eddie Crowe, Kevin Stone and Delirious
David: Crowe, Stone and Delirious win it, and it's a successful return to action for Eddie Crowe.
(Nana gets in the face of the ref, but that angers Delirious, and he chases Nana to the back. Chan goes under the ring and gets a kendo stick and slides in. He cracks Stone over the head with it as the Surgeons drag Eddie out of the ring and ram him into the guardrail. Chan continues to hit Stone until he's bloody. He demands a mic.)
Chan: Kevin Stone, you aren't so tough. You aren't so monstrous. That's twice now I've been the one left standing. And when I beat you, I'll skyrocket straight to the top of MECCA. So if you want another match with me, and I'm sure you will once you wake up, why don't we do this at Ignition?
(Stone tries to sit up, but Chan digs the kendo stick into his face and shoves him back down before leaving.)
Dick: Chan is right, he has gotten the better of Stone, and now he wants to prove it with a win. I think it's safe to say that Stone will accept the challenge once he regains his bearings.
David: We'll be right back as the Mixed Tag League continues with a semi-final match.
(Commercial Break)
(In the locker room, the Killer Kanines are getting ready for their match.)
Anubis: So what was up with you last week, anyway? Two weeks ago, we beat the Surgeons right in the middle of the ring and you get pinned last week in the rematch? I hope your head is in the game tonight.
Wolf: First of all, I was being double teamed, and I can't fight off those guys at once. Where were you? Oh yeah, you were dumped to the outside after being distracted by Nana. Just do me a favor? If we do get the tag title shot next week, don't screw it up again.
Anubis: Me screw it up? You have to be joking.
Wolf: Did you ever stop to think that maybe you're the one who's the weak link on this team? After all, you don't have gold like me.
Anubis: And like I told you before, I may just come take that gold off your hands after our business tonight and next week is settled.
Wolf: Yeah, okay. You know I'll accept any challenge, buddy, and I do mean anybody. But for tonight, let's try to show some unity, huh?
(Wolf exits.)
(In the arena, "Clavicle" hits and Matt Sydal and Daizee Haze make their way to the ring.)
David: It's the semi-finals of the Mixed Tag League, and Sydal and Haze are going strong after their win over Robbie Reno and Coquette last week.
Dick: Title shots are at stake, and these two are both former champions. They would love to have gold around their waists again.
("Did My Time" hits and Ronin Fox and Shadow make their way to the ring.)
David: Fox and Shadow are the only House of Lords team still in this tournament, and they've both got gold, which means they have the option of vetoing any one challenger if they win.
Dick: I can certainly see that happening, if Shadow chooses to avoid Naomi Leach. But it would surprise me if Fox didn't take another shot at the World Title.
(FINISH: Sydal backrops Fox onto the apron. He goes for a right hand, but Sydal blocks it and an enzugiri sends Fox to the floor. Sydal dives over with a twisting moonsault as Daizee hits Shadow with a heart punch. She goes for a Yakuza Kick, but Shadow sidesteps and hits the Interceptor. She covers, but Daizee barely kicks out at two. She tries a suplex, but Daizee escapes and rolls up Shadow. Shadow reverses and rolls backwards, hooking in the Dragon Sleeper. She applies the bodyscissors, and Daizee taps out.)
Winners: Ronin Fox and Shadow
David: Fox and Shadow are going to the finals, and at Ignition they will face the winners of the Danielson and Del Rey vs. Lee and Leach match next week.
Dick: Nykk is probably hoping their opponents are Austin Lee and Naomi Leach, so that he can face Danielson for the World Title.
David: We'll be right back with more MECCA action!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with Austin Lee and Naomi Leach.)
Bill: Austin Lee, Naomi Leach, two weeks ago you were victorious over the tandem of Nykk and Lisa Letty, and next week your quest to win the Mixed Tag League continues as you're faced with two of the best in the world, Sara Del Rey and the MECCA World Champion, Bryan Danielson.
Naomi: They're both great competitors, but Austin and I are a team that can't be broken. We were champions back in RCW, and we aim to do the same here in MECCA. Shadow, I'm glad you made it to the finals because it's going to be much more satisfying to beat you for the very title shot where I take your belt. End of the Line was a fluke, one that cost your team dearly, and did no favors for me. I plan to correct that real soon.
Austin: Danielson, you are the World Champ, but you've already achieved your glory. And as much as I would love to face Nykk at Ignition, my goal has been and always will be championships, and I want the title shot that I've earned over my stay in MECCA these past five months. Just like Delirious and Daizee Haze did before us, we're going to win those guaranteed title shots, and you will be looking at two brand new champions.
(Alan Mayse enters.)
Alan: Wait a minute, Austin...
Bill: Alan Mayse, what are you doing here? This isn't your time.
Alan: Far be it from me to interrupt the flow of the show, but Austin, last week you stuck your nose where it didn't belong. But that's okay, because you two are here talking about flukes, when the biggest one of all occurred last week. And I may not be in contention for the World Title right now, but this is going to be a rebuilding period for Alan Mayse.
Austin: And, uh, what makes you think I care, Alan?
Alan: Because you saw step one last week when I introduced my new finisher, the Ankle Breaker. Step two will be winning back the title that I made, as I plan on going after the Toughman Title and just like during the World Title reign of Eddie Crowe, completely overshadowing the World Title picture and showing that it's not the belt that makes the man, it's Mayse who makes the belt.
Austin: Yeah, good luck with that. Naomi, after you.
(Austin and Naomi exit.)
Alan: The fools in the locker room just don't understand, Bill. I'm a champion, and any tournament to give out title shots is ultimately useless, because eventually the titles will be coming to me.
(Alan exits.)
(In the arena, "A to Z" hits and Allison Danger makes her way to the ring.)
David: We're very pleased to finally see Allison Danger debut here in MECCA, as it has been a long time coming for this outstanding competitor.
Dick: Allison has stepped into a MECCA ring before as she was given a shot at the Ladies' Title at the New Orleans charity show back in the spring of 2006, which MECCA held in conjunction with ROH, TNA Wrestling and SHIMMER.
("Dance Commander" hits and Heather Star makes her way to the ring.)
David: "Heavenly" Heather Star has the task of taking on Danger in her debut, but I'm sure she's up to the challenge.
Dick: Heather has been a mainstay here in MECCA for years, and if Allison wants to prove herself, she could do a lot worse than beating Star.
(FINISH: Danger gives Star a drop toehold onto the bottom rope and then bounces off the ropes, hitting the Curb Kick. She picks her up and goes for the Lovelace Choker, but Star escapes and hits a dropkick. She gives Allison a gutbuster and then lifts her onto her shoulders for Greetings from Heaven. Allison hits her with rights and lands back on her feet. When Star turns around, Danger plants her with an STO. She then hits the Shimmering Warlock and covers for the three count.)
Winner: Allison Danger
David: A successful debut for Allison Danger, and I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of her in the coming weeks.
Dick: There are many familiar and unfamiliar faces to Danger in the ladies' division here, so it will be very interesting to see how she does.
David: When we return, it's our main event. Jay and Mark Briscoe take on the Killer Kanines with a tag title shot next week hanging in the balance!
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, David Mills and Dick Broccoli are in the broadcast booth.)
David: Welcome back to Go Time, and before our main event, we're going to invite you to join us once again on pay-per-view for Ignition, coming to you live from Toronto, Ontario, on January 19. It's sure to be a big event when MECCA returns to Canada.
Dick: The main event will be determined based on next week's semi-final match in the Mixed Tag League. If Bryan Danielson and Sara Del Rey can get past Naomi Leach and Austin Lee, Nykk will take on Lee at Ignition. However, if Danielson and Del Rey lose, the American Dragon puts his MECCA Championship on the line against the Alpha Wolf. Plus Jamie Chan has laid out a challenge to Kevin Stone, and...
(There's a disturbance in the crowd as what appears to be a homeless man is causing a ruckus. He's tossing chairs around and rambling incoherently as security surrounds him.)
David: Well, it looks like there's something happening...
Dick: Who's this joker?
(A fan tries to calm the man down, but he punches him square in the face. The fan goes down, and security tackles the man. He struggles, but they overpower him and drag him from the arena.)
David: He just hit another fan! Yeah, get him out of here. Fans don't come to our shows to be assaulted like that. That guy must be crazy or something.
("Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)
David: Let's move on to our main event, as a tag title shot hangs in the balance. The Killer Kanines are former two-time tag champs, and the Wild Wolf is the current Toughman Champion, but there seems to be some bickering as of late between these two.
Dick: It happens with tag team partners occasionally, and Anubis has expressed interest in coming after the Toughman Title, which I'm sure doesn't sit well with the Wild Wolf.
("Gimme Back My Bullets" hits and the Briscoes make their way to the ring.)
David: The Briscoes want that title shot next week, but they have to go through one of the best teams in MECCA history to get it.
Dick: What tag team main event to cap off the third anniversary of MECCA. Will we have new tag team champs at the beginning of Year Four?
(FINISH: The Briscoes double team Anubis, and Jay attempts to lift him for the Jay Driller, but he can't get him up. Wolf comes off the top rope with a double missile dropkick to the Briscoes from behind. Mark goes through the ropes, and Wolf lifts Jay. The Kanines hit their big boot/brainbuster combo, and Anubis covers for a two count. Wolf puts Jay on the top turnbuckle as Anubis ascends an adjacent corner. Jay elbows Wolf in the head and Mark springboards onto the top rope, causing Anubis to crotch himself. Mark takes Wolf over with a super reverse rana, and Jay gets off the ropes. The Briscoes pick Anubis off the turnbuckles right in position for a Jay Driller. Mark goes to the outside and springboards in with a Spike Jay Driller, and Jay covers Anubis for the three count as Mark intercepts Wolf.)
Winners: The Briscoes
David: The Briscoes have earned themselves a title shot next week, and I believe we have an early Match of the Year Candidate on our hands!
Dick: These rednecks sure manned up tonight, and we could be looking at new tag champs next week when they face Nykk and Ronin Fox.
David: Until then, we're out of here. See you next week!
