("Neocon" opening.)
David: Happy holidays to all as MECCA brings Go Time straight to your living room this week from right here in St. Louis, Missouri! I'm David Mills along with Dick Broccoli, and we all witnessed in on pay-per-view. The House of Lords fell to the MECCA loyalists in the best of five series, and Katie Piehl is back in control of this company.
Dick: And we understand we'll hear from the House of Lords shortly about their current standing in MECCA now that they no longer run it. We've also been told that right here tonight, Alan Mayse will take on Kevin Stone.
David: Plus we'll have two first round matches in the Mixed Tag League, heading toward the finals at Ignition on January 19.
("Third Reich from the Sun" hits and the entire House of Lords make their way to the ring.)
David: Boy do these guys look downtrodden. MECCA won the best of five series 3-2, and no longer will we have to watch Nykk make matches in his own guys' favor.
Dick: Plus Katie Piehl makes no bones about the fact that she plans to eradicate the House of Lords, so they have to feel helpless as infants right now, even if they do still hold half the titles in MECCA.
(Nykk gets a mic.)
Nykk: This past Saturday... was a dark day in the history of this promotion. When I think about all the hard work I put into making this company something special, all for you, the fans, it makes me think that sometimes it's just not worth it anymore. There comes a time in a man's life where he realizes that what he does isn't appreciated, that he isn't wanted anymore, and it's time to just walk away. Was End of the Line the end of the House of Lords? Hell, no! We aren't going anywhere, you idiots! Katie Piehl, you may think you can destroy the House of Lords, but I've got news for you: I'm not just going to stand there and blindly ram my head into a brick wall, hoping that I might break through before I break myself. You call down the thunder, because I've got a lightning rod that I'll jam straight up the board of directors' asses. But I can see that what I'm doing now didn't work, and in fact, failed at End of the Line. That's why, just as my intention was at the start of this promotion, only the tough will survive. The House of Lords will endure, but it will have to weather the storm and that's why I have to take a few steps backward in order to take one leap forward. You see, while some members of our group performed exceptionally well at End of the Line, others seem to have taken my goodwill to mean that you will get endless chances from me. No, that's not what I pay you for. So right here in this ring, I'm downsizing the House of Lords. That's right, some of you will be fired and it's going to happen right now. So line up! Line up, all of you, because it's cut day here in MECCA.
(The House of Lords look confused, but they line up anyway. Nykk circles around them, sizing them up. He stops in front of Lisa.)
Nykk: Lisa... you are the love of my life, the inspiration behind the House of Lords and you nearly ripped Daizee's arms off at End of the Line en route to your victory. And besides that, you're just too damn cute. Of course you're going to be with the House of Lords. Go ahead and go to the back, because you made the cut, sweetheart.
(Lisa gives Nykk a kiss and exits the ring, harassing some fans as she exits. Nykk continues to circle and stops in front of Huh and Joey. Joey looks absolutely terrified.)
Nykk: Huh... what was I ever thinking hiring you? You can't do anything right, including not paying attention except to a guy who wasn't even in your damn match at End of the Line. Hit the bricks, pal. You've been cut!
(Huh looks sad, but starts to exit the ring. Nykk helps him out as he steps through the ropes with a kick to the ass, making Huh fall to the outside.)
David: Now that just wasn't necessary.
(Nykk walks over to Alan.)
Nykk: Alan, it was almost four years ago that you took Austin Lee to the limit in RCW, beating him every time, and now you're losing pinfalls to the guy. Get on out of here. I don't want to look at your face anymore.
(Alan grabs the mic.)
Alan: Nykk, do you know the reason why I turned on all these fans and joined you? It was to advance my career with the promise of title shots. But now, that's not going to happen anymore, is it? Since you can't help me anymore, my only reason for being here is gone. So watch later tonight when I put away Kevin Stone, because you'll regret this when I go back to doing what I do best, and that's being on my own and winning on my own.
(Alan storms out of the ring. Nykk picks the mic back up.)
Nykk: Yeah, good luck getting anywhere without my guidance. Your best days were back in RCW. That brings us to the Pyro Twins. Jay, Dusty, you two have always had my back, and have done everything I asked of you. You two are safe. You may go.
(Jay and Dusty slap hands with Nykk before exiting the ring. Nykk walks over to Fox.)
Nykk: What can I say, Fox? You lost to Danielson, and embarrassed me in the process. You failed to regain the World Title for the House of Lords... but you are my partner with the tag titles, and just too valuable a player to lose. You can stay, and I'll ask you to stay out here for now, because I may need help with what we talked about earlier.
(Nykk turns to Cynric and smirks. Joey's looking a little more confident now, and nodding approval at Nykk's decisions.)
Nykk: Cynric... my so-called Chief Assassin... I hold you just as responsible as I do anyone who lost this past Saturday. You've been disappointing me for a while now. You're cut.
(Cynric protests, saying he helped Nykk win the tag titles, but Nykk brushes him off. Cynric turns to plead with Fox, but even he tells him to get out. Finally, Cynric flips Nykk the double bird and makes an obscene comment before storming out of the ring.)
Dick: I think he just told Nykk to suck shoe.
(Nykk goes back to the center of the ring, where Joey is clapping and Shadow looks like she's about to cry.)
Nykk: That just leaves one other person who's getting cut tonight... someone who's stupidity may have just cost the House of Lords the victory on Saturday. Someone who has been on thin ice for a while now, and someone I only let in the House of Lords because I've been friends with them for a long time.
(Shadow hangs her head in shame as Joey berates her, saying she's going to get it.)
Nykk: Shadow... hold the ropes open for Joey.
(Shadow's head snaps up and she hugs Nykk before going over to the ropes and holding them open. Joey is livid, and Nykk and Fox both tell him to get out. Finally, Joey exits the ring, with Shadow intentionally tripping him on the way out. Joey beats on the apron and protests some more, but suddenly Eddie Crowe emerges from the crowd and goes after Joey, chasing him to the back.)
David: The chase is on, and there's no one to protect Joey or Huh from Eddie Crowe now!
Nykk: Now that that's taken care of... what you've got now is a thinner, sleeker, more polished version of the House of Lords, and our path back to the top starts tonight. We're going to win this Mixed Tag League, because I've entered two killer teams. First, one half of your MECCA Tag Team Champions and your Ladies' Champion, Ronin Fox and Shadow! And in the main event tonight, it will be myself and Lisa in a first round match against two people I can't stand, and that's Austin Lee and Naomi Leach. And once one of our teams win, we will rule MECCA once more, and that is the word of a Lord!
("Third Reich from the Sun" plays as Nykk, Fox and Shadow exit the ring.)
David: There you have it, a downsized House of Lords, but we'll be right back with the first of our match ups in the Mixed Tag League!
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "On the Speedway" hits and Jamie Chan and Magenta make their way to the ring.)
David: We're back on Go Time, and look at this team. Jamie Chan may still be sore as a virgin on prom night, but he's entering this tournament and going after that guaranteed title shot.
Dick: He took quite a beating from Anubis at End of the Line, but we'll see how he does with Magenta as his partner.
("The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson and Sara Del Rey make their way to the ring.)
David: A classic team of teacher and student, as the MECCA World Champion and his protege make their way down.
Dick: Now being champion, if Danielson were to win this tournament, he would get his choice between a future title shot or he would be able to veto any one challenger for as long as he holds the MECCA Championship.
(FINISH: Chan lands a few kicks on Danielson, but when he bounces off the ropes, Danielson meets him with a stiff headbutt. He staggers Chan and then sends him through the ropes with a charging European uppercut. He sails through with a tope onto Chan, and the ladies make their way in. Del Rey plants Magenta with a flapjack and then goes for a senton splash, but Magenta rolls out of the way. She rolls up Del Rey with a magistral cradle for two, but then gets sent down when Del Rey gets to her feet first and hits a hip attack. She puts Magenta in the Royal Butterfly and then takes her over with the powerslam, getting the pin.)
Winners: Bryan Danielson and Sara Del Rey
David: The American Dragon and the American Angel advance to the next round, and they will face the winner of tonight's main event, Nykk and Lisa Letty vs. Austin Lee and Naomi Leach.
Dick: I can't wait for that one, as Austin finally...
("Burning Times" hits and Dusty Schneble makes his way onto the stage with a mic.)
David: What's Dusty Schneble doing out here?
Dusty: Hey, Danielson! You may have moved onto the next round, but don't think you have the week off next week. You see, there's a small matter of this. Play the tape!
(They show clips from Rundown, where Dusty scores a pinfall over Danielson in a non-title match with some help from Jay.)
Dusty: You see, I pinned your shoulders to the mat, Danielson, and one of the last things that Nykk did before the best of five series was make sure I had a title shot if Fox happened to fail. So next week, you meet me in the middle of that ring and bring that belt with you. Because we're going to make a little exchange. I get the belt, and you get a big burning sensation left from where I ripped it off your waist!
David: How about that, a title match for next week. Bryan Danielson defends against Dusty Schneble on the last Go Time of the year. We'll be right back with more action!
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Lava" hits and the Surgeons make their way to the ring.)
David: John Walters was unsuccessful in taking the Toughman Title at End of the Line, but it wasn't for lack of strategy. He had Matt Stryker attempt to run interference, but they didn't count on the return of Anubis to action so soon.
Dick: It was the Surgeons who wiped him out with a chair backstage a few weeks ago, an obvious ploy to get him out of the way, but it backfired on them on Saturday.
("Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)
David: The Wild Wolf is still the Toughman Champion, and the Kanines definitely look stronger than ever.
Dick: They're out for some payback right here tonight, and conspicuous by her absence recently has been Medea Knight at the side of the Surgeons. We're told she's deep in negotiations of some kind.
(FINISH: Stryker backdrops Wolf over the top rope, but he lands on the apron. He blocks a right hand and gives Stryker a forearm. He suplexes him over the top and drops him to the floor, but Walters slingshots Wolf in. He hits a lungblower and goes to the top rope. However, Wolf shoves him onto the turnbuckles and tags Anubis. They give Walters the Dog Catcher, and Anubis covers for the three count.)
Winners: The Killer Kanines
David: The Kanines are victorious, and maybe that will teach the Surgeons about taking the easy way to the top.
Dick: Maybe they're thinking about another run with the tag titles, since the House of Lords still hold those belts.
David: Maybe, but right now Bill Bicknell is standing by with Naomi Leach. We'll hear from her and be back with Alan Mayse vs. Kevin Stone!
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with Naomi Leach.)
Bill: Naomi, at End of the Line you won the match with Shadow in the best of five series for your team and for MECCA, but unfortunately you did not become the Ladies' Champion.
Naomi: Yes, that was a disappointment, and I do feel a little cheated out of becoming the Ladies' Champion. But in the end, getting MECCA back on track was the most important thing, and I was happy to do my part. But as for tonight, Austin and I have Nykk and Lisa Letty in the main event, but that's only step one. I'll get my rematch for the Ladies' Title when we go all the way to the end and win this Mixed Tag League. Shadow, you and I will meet again, and when we do, I will become the new Ladies' Champion.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)
David: We're back on Go Time, and Alan Mayse now comes into this match as a man without a country. He turned his back on these fans, and was just let go from the House of Lords earlier.
Dick: Basically everyone in that eight-man tag this past Saturday was fired, and the bitterness is evident on Alan's face. Though he may feel he's better off now that Nykk has no power to get him title shots.
("At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)
David: He may get a title shot if he can get past Kevin Stone. Both of these men need wins, as it was Stone who fell to Nykk for the first time ever at End of the Line.
Dick: Alan Mayse is still on the Contender Star, however, so his spot is up for grabs.
(FINISH: Alan goes for the Tiger Bomb, but Stone counters with a backdrop and tries to sit on Alan. He moves out of the way and bounces off the ropes to go for a dropkick, but Stone spears him to the mat. He signals for the Stone Cutter and whips Alan into the ropes, but Alan escapes and grabs a waistlock. He rolls Stone up with an O'Connor Roll and bridges back, but Stone wraps his arms around Alan in a sleeper. He gets to his feet and lifts Alan off the ground. He squeezes the life out of Alan until he taps out.)
Winner: Kevin Stone
David: The MECCA Monster picks up the victory and the spot on the Contender Star, and Alan's woes continue.
Dick: What a big victory for Kevin Stone, and he would love to challenge his friend Bryan Danielson at some point in the future, or maybe Dusty Schneble, should he win the World Title next week.
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with Joey Sprinklers.)
Bill: Joey, you look exhausted. Have you been running this entire time?
Joey: Well, what am I sposta do, Bill? I got Eddie Crowe after me, and I don't know what I'm gonna do now without Nykk's leadership. He's always been my friend before, ya know? Even when we wasn't in the same group. I guess it's time for me to... oh, @%$#!
(Eddie Crowe runs in and starts pummeling Joey. Joey crouches and covers up, but Eddie just kicks him straight in the face. Before he can move in, Huh attacks Eddie from behind. He rams him into a nearby vending machine and then yanks Joey up, telling him to hurry. They run off, and Eddie gives chase.)
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)
David: As we saw before the break, Eddie Crowe is still on a tear after Joey Sprinklers and Huh. He's pretty much got free reign to kick the bejesus out of them if he can catch them.
Dick: But right now, Eddie's former teammates, Dusty and his brother Jay, are set for action and of course it was tonight we learned that next week on the last Go Time of the year, Dusty gets a title shot against Bryan Danielson.
("Clavicle" hits and Matt Sydal and Delirious make their way to the ring.)
David: Matt Sydal and Delirious were tag team champs until last week, when Nykk and Ronin Fox took the belts. And of course, you have to imagine that the Pyro Twins' goal is to make sure they don't get their rematch.
Dick: Of course, it was the upset of the year when Delirious and Sydal took down the best tag team in the world, the Pyro Twins, for the tag titles back in October.
(FINISH: Delirious ducks under a double clothesline from the Pyro Twins, and Sydal takes down Dusty with a spinning heel kick. Jay turns around gets nailed with BAM! from Delirious. The Pyro Twins roll to the outside, and Delirious tries a baseball slide, but Jay and Dusty move and Delirious just slides to the outside. They take him down with Final Darkness on the outside, but Sydal bounces off the ropes and takes them both down with a twisting moonsault. He rolls Dusty back in and gets on the apron. He springboards to the top rope, but Jay jumps up and shakes the ropes and Sydal falls across the top rope. Dusty quickly hooks his head and executes the Rope Burn II. He covers and gets the three count.)
Winners: The Pyro Twins
David: The Pyro Twins win it, and if Dusty hits that move next week on Danielson, we could see a new MECCA Champion.
Dick: Nykk's rapidly running out of guys to bring the title back to the House of Lords, but maybe Dusty will be more successful than others have been.
David: When we come back, it's our main event. The first round of the Mixed Tag League continues as Austin Lee and Naomi Leach take on Nykk and Lisa Letty!
(In the locker room, the Briscoes are watching the monitor and they turn to address the camera.)
Jay: Hey, we was just watchin' what went down out there, and Pyro Twins, we know you boys have a big week next week, especially you, Dusty. But whether you win the title or not, we still have to decide just who is the best tag team in the world.
Mark: Plain and simple, fellas, win or lose next week, we want you in a tag match at Ignition. You may have beat us in that mixed tag, but it was the ladies that ended that match, not you. So meet us on January 19 and man up!
Jay: That's right, man up! Ignition. We'll be waitin' for you, fellas.
(Commercial Break)
(In the locker room, the Killer Kanines are packing away their gear.)
Wolf: Back in the saddle, baby. That's how Killer Kanines roll!
Anubis: Yes, that was definitely satisfying.
Wolf: So what about it big man, do we have another run at the tag titles in us?
Anubis: Well... you know it's been great working with you, man, but in all honesty, I'm concentrating on making it on my own right now. You should be too; you have the Toughman Title to defend. And I can't put it any plainer... I may just decide to come after what you've got.
(Anubis zips up his bag and exits the locker room.)
(In the arena, "Third Reich from the Sun" hits and Nykk and Lisa Letty make their way to the ring.)
David: It's main event time as we roll on with the first round of the Mixed Tag League. The team of Bryan Danielson and Sara Del Rey were successful in their match earlier, and the winners of this match will face them in the semi-finals.
Dick: Nykk and his girlfriend, the First Lady of MECCA, have a bit of experience in mixed tags, and they're planning on taking the House of Lords back to the top by winning this tournament.
("The Way I Am" hits and Austin Lee and Naomi Leach make their way to the ring.)
David: Two competitors that returned to the family, so to speak, in 2007 were Austin Lee and Naomi Leach. Of course, Austin was the last RCW Champion, and Naomi was the first RCW Ladies' Champion, and held that belt longer than anyone.
Dick: They're both looking to make their mark here in MECCA, and they want those guaranteed title shots.
(FINISH: Austin hits the Rerun Neckbreaker on Nykk and covers, but Lisa breaks it up. Naomi comes over to her and Lisa slaps her across the face, which causes Naomi to send her down with a hard forearm. Austin tags Naomi, but Nykk rolls Austin up and the ref lets him know the men aren't legal anymore. As Nykk argues with the ref, Austin stands behind him and then kicks him. He lifts him and Naomi comes off the second rope with the Spike Degenerate Driver. Lisa comes off an adjacent corner with a bulldog on Naomi and covers for a two count. She goes for the Letty Stretch, but Naomi gets to her feet and breaks Lisa's grip. She hits a DDT and rolls through into the Leach Hold. After a few moments, Lisa taps out.)
Winners: Austin Lee and Naomi Leach
David: Austin and Naomi win it, and now the House of Lords' only hope rests on the team of Ronin Fox and Shadow, who we will see in action next week against the team of Kevin Stone and Heather Star!
Dick: We also understand that in the other first round match, Matt Sydal will team with Daizee Haze to face Robbie Reno and Coquette.
David: We'll have all that plus the MECCA Championship will be defended when Bryan Danielson takes on Dusty Schneble. We'll see you next week. Merry Christmas, fans!
