Go Time: 10/24/07

Baltimore, MD

Rundown Results:
Briscoes b. Huh/Sprinklers
Lisa Letty b. Heather Star
Dusty Schneble b. Human Tornado
Nykk/Mayse b. Lee Brothers

("Neocon" opening.)

David: MECCA has come to Baltimore, Maryland, for another edition of Go Time right before we head to Nashville for Scared Stiff. I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and we have a big six-man tag in the main event tonight. Eddie Crowe and Bryan Danielson have agreed to put their differences aside for the time being as they will team with Kevin Stone to take on the House of Lords contingent of Nykk, Ronin Fox and Alan Mayse!

Dick: We'll also have the tag team champs in singles action as they will take on members of two of the top contending teams for their titles. Matt Sydal will take on Jay Crowe of the Pyro Twins while Delirious takes on Jay Briscoe.

David: Plus we'll hear from the Killer Kanines, there will be a ladies' tag match and much more tonight on Go Time!

("Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring, carrying his tag belt in his mouth.)

David: One half of the MECCA Tag Team Champions, Delirious is always ready for action here in MECCA.

Dick: We saw him and his partner Sydal beat the UKWC last week, and they have another defense coming up at Scared Stiff against the Surgeons. But tonight, they're going to warm up for that match in singles competition.

("Gimme Back My Bullets" hits and Jay Briscoe makes his way to the ring.)

David: We haven't seen a lot of what the Briscoes can do in singles competition yet, but this is a chance for Jay to propel he and his brother up the rankings and get a shot at the tag titles with a victory here.

Dick: A victory over half of the tag champs will certainly do that for you.

(FINISH: Delirious hits the Panic Attack, and goes up for Shadows Over Hell. Jay manages to crotch Delirious on the top turnbuckle and goes up for a superplex. Delirious headbutts him and throws him back to the mat. He goes for Shadows Over Hell, but Jay moves out of the way and bounces off the ropes, flooring Delirious with a big boot. He gives him the Jay Driller and covers for the three count.)

Winner: Jay Briscoe

David: Jay wins it for the Briscoes, and you can bet he and Mark will be knocking on the door of the tag champs soon, whoever they happen to be after Scared Stiff.

Dick: Well, the Briscoes have a huge tag team match to worry about themselves at Scared Stiff when they take on the Pyro Twins in a tag team dream match. A victory there would certainly help their cause as well.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with the Killer Kanines.)

Bill: Anubis, Wild Wolf, last week you were victorious over the tandem of Ronin Fox and Cynric, and you made reference to some other challenges. What were you guys talking about?

Wolf: Bill, we haven't forgotten about the Pyro Twins beating us for the tag titles and then slapping all of us here in MECCA in the face by joining the House of Lords. And now that the House of Lords seems to want to get in our business again, now I think it's my turn to take something of theirs. With all due respect to my partner, I'm making a challenge to Cynric for Scared Stiff. I want that Toughman Title, to complete this goal of taking all the House of Lords' titles from them.

Anubis: And if it weren't for Cynric's brother, our former World Champion, I would be the Toughman Champion right now. But Wolf, that's okay if you want to challenge for that belt. Because at Scared Stiff, I want Fox in the middle of that ring. I owe you for last week, Ronin Fox, so bring it to Nashville. And after I beat you, maybe I'll just set my sights a little higher. Like maybe we'll see Anubis, the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Bill: We'll have to take a quick break, but hopefully we can get word on Fox and Cynric's reactions to these big challenges later on tonight on Go Time.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "The Way I Am" hits and Austin and Tristan Lee make their way to the ring.)

David: Just before the beak we heard some major challenges for Scared Stiff, as the Wild Wolf has challenged Cynric and Anubis has challenged Ronin Fox in singles encounters. But right now, another brother tandem will see tag action, as the Lees team up.

Dick: Austin and Tristan are part of the force in MECCA that has vowed to stand up to the House of Lords, along with Kevin Stone and our World Champion Bryan Danielson. Thanks in part to them, guys like Danielson, Delirious and Matt Sydal were able to get a fair shot at dethroning some of the champions in the House of Lords.

("Lava" hits and the Surgeons make their way to the ring, along with Medea Knight.)

David: Stryker and Walters have a big opportunity in just three days, as they will challenge Delirious and Sydal for the tag team belts.

Dick: If they can get by the Lees tonight, they'll be on a roll going into Scared Stiff, and they definitely could use all the momentum they can get.

(FINISH: Austin and Tristan hit a spike Degenerate Driver, and Tristan covers Walters, but Stryker breaks it up. He bounces off the ropes, but Austin kicks him and delivers the Rerun Neckbreaker. He and Tristan bounce off the ropes, but Medea pulls the top rope down. Austin tumbles to the floor, but Stryker catches Tristan by the foot and pulls him into a German suplex. He rolls him to his feet and puts him on his shoulders, allowing Walters to hit the Human Error. Walters covers and gets the three count.)

Winners: The Surgeons

David: The Surgeons are victorious thanks to their manager, and you have to wonder if she's going to be a deciding factor in the match on Saturday.

Dick: She has managed two other championship teams here in MECCA, so she definitely has a good track record.

David: We'll be back with more MECCA action!

(In the office, Katie Piehl is sitting at her desk when Nykk and Shadow enter.)

Katie: To what do I owe the displeasure, you two?

Nykk: Katie, it was real nice and all of you to approve Shadow's title shot against "Shelirious" at Scared Stiff, but I just came by to hand you this.

(He hands Katie a piece of paper.)

Katie: And what is this?

Shadow: It's the paperwork for the tag team contest that's coming up next. I'm going to team with Lisa against the Ladies' Champion Shelirious and... Daizee Haze.

Katie: What?

Nykk: That's right, Katie, a dream team if there ever was one! As you know, I do have the right to book any match I want, and I think those two separate entities will make one hell of a team. Given that Shadow has her title match coming up, I think it's only fair she gets acquainted with the champ, don't you?

Katie: But we can't have this match. Daizee and Shelirious are...

Nykk: What are they? You thought you had us last month, didn't you, Katie? When Shelirious beat my Lisa for that title, you thought you would make a joke out of us. Well, the joke's come back to you now, and Daizee Haze is going to pay the price.

Katie: I have to... go. I need to tell Daizee about this right away.

(She exits the office hastily, and Nykk and Shadow high five.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Third Reich from the Sun" hits and Lisa Letty and Shadow make their way to the ring.)

David: We're back, and we just found out before the break why we weren't told what the ladies' tag match would be tonight. Lisa Letty and Shadow are one team, and the other is going to be Daizee Haze, and well, the Ladies' Champion Shelirious.

Dick: This could be trouble for the House of Lords' opposition.

("Sensi" hits and Daizee Haze makes her way to the ring.)

David: Daizee Haze is a little apprehensive, and who can blame her? She's going up against two of the most dangerous females in MECCA, and Shelirious is not going to be coming out to team with her.

Dick: Daizee has been trapped right here on Go Time, and we all know why this doesn't bode well for Shelirious's chances at Scared Stiff.

(FINISH: Shadow and Lisa whip Daizee into the ropes, but she ducks under a double clothesline and gives them a double dropkick. She gives Shadow a heart punch and tries a Yakuza Kick, but Lisa catches her foot, allowing Shadow to hit the Interceptor. She covers, but pulls Daizee up at two. She puts on the Dragon Sleeper and falls back into a body scissors. As Daizee taps out, Lisa grabs her leg and puts her in a figure four leglock at the same time.)

Winners: Lisa Letty and Shadow

David: Lisa and Shadow win this match, as we knew would be the likely case in an impromptu handicap match such as this, but they're putting a beating on poor Daizee. Let's get some help out here to stop this.

Dick: If Daizee Haze is in trouble, that means Shelirious is in trouble, and she's got a big title defense in three days.

(Shadow and Lisa finally release their submission holds, and Lisa gets a chair. She hands it to Shadow, who hits Daizee across the back multiple times. Finally, officials come out and pull Shadow and Lisa away from her.)

(In the locker room, Bryan Danielson is sitting on a bench, still in street clothes. He reaches in a locker to get his bag when Eddie Crowe enters. He grabs the bag and throws it on the floor.)

Danielson: What was that all about?

Eddie: After you just left me there lying last week, you think I'm going to let you change in the same locker room as me? Find somewhere else to change. Maybe you'd be more comfortable in the House of Lords' dressing room.

Danielson: First of all, I'm the MECCA World Champion, and as much as you'd like to think you still are, you're not. This is my belt now, which gives me the privilege of doing whatever I want, including changing where I want.

Eddie: No, no, not while I'm...

(Kevin Stone enters.)

Stone: Is there a problem here?

Danielson: Why don't you ask the former champ over there? He's throwing my bags on the floor? If we weren't teaming tonight, I'd take you out right here.

Eddie: Why don't you just try that, Danielson? I've beaten you before; we can have our title match right here on the dressing room floor...

Stone: Enough! You two need to get your heads on straight, because we're teaming against Nykk, Fox and Mayse tonight. The three most dangerous guys in the House of Lords. Back in RCW, it used to be the three of them who were divided, but now the tables have turned on us. Eddie, last week Bryan was just pissed because of the accusation you made against him. He could have had any one of the House of Lords jump me if he had been with them, but no, he beat me fair and square. And Bryan, Eddie has never given anyone any sign that he plans on joining the House of Lords. Come on, guys. Let's go show those three that they can't run roughshod over us so easily.

(Stone leaves, and Eddie and Danielson continue glaring at each other.)

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Jamie Chan.)

Bill: I'm here with Jamie Chan, one of the participants in the Stiff Strike Challenge coming up in just three days. Jamie, you'll be up against some of MECCA's biggest stars in this match, guys like Austin Lee, Nykk and Kevin Stone. Is this make or break time for Jamie Chan?

Chan: I've been looking for an opportunity like this for ever since I entered singles competition, Bill. I'm no stranger to hanging with the stars of MECCA. My performance in the Ultimate MECCA Challenge speaks for itself. I may seem like the underdog, but I'm telling all you fans right now not to underestimate me. I will rise to this challenge, and I will come out the winner. After that, it's going to be all uphill for Jamie Chan.

(In the arena, "Burning Times" hits and Jay Crowe makes his way to the ring.)

David: The Stiff Strike Challenge is an annual event at Scared Stiff, but we still have plenty of Go Time before we get there. Jay Crowe of the Pyro Twins is in singles action just days before he and Dusty take on the Briscoes.

Dick: As much as the Pyro Twins and the Briscoes want to mix it up, the tag titles have to be on both their minds, and with Jay Briscoe already with a singles victory over one half of the tag champs, the pressure is on for Jay tonight.

("Clavicle" hits and Matt Sydal makes his way to the ring.)

David: Matt Sydal and Delirious have a big defense coming up against the Surgeons in three days, and they've already proven they're not fluke champions by beating the UK Wrecking Crew last week.

Dick: Sydal and Delirious literally came out of nowhere to beat the Pyro Twins for those belts, and with a victory here Jay could certainly earn a future title shot for his team.

(FINISH: Jay goes to the top rope, and Sydal follows him up, looking for the Cyclorama. Jay pushes him off and then goes for a senton splash, but Sydal moves out of the way. He gives Jay the Slice, and goes up and tries the Shooting Sydal Press. Jay gets his knees up and rolls Sydal over in an inside cradle, getting the three count.)

Winner: Jay Crowe

David: Brilliant counter by Jay, and it nabs him a victory over Matt Sydal.

Dick: If Sydal and Delirious retain at Scared Stiff, where does this put the Pyro Twins and the Briscoes as far as contendership? The Briscoes vs. Pyro Twins match is even bigger now than it was before.

David: We'll be back with our main event. Nykk, Alan Mayse and Ronin Fox will take on Kevin Stone, Eddie Crowe and the World Champion Bryan Danielson. But first, we understand Bill Bicknell is with Fox and Cynric, who have an answer for the challenge of the Killer Kanines.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Ronin Fox and Cynric.)

Bill: Fox, Cynric, the time is now. What are your answers for the Kanines' individual challenges for Scared Stiff?

Fox: First of all, Anubis, you think that just because you're a lot bigger than me that you scare me? I'm not afraid of anything. If you want a match with me, you've got it, because a win over a tough guy like you is exactly what I need to propel myself back up in the rankings and get my rematch with Danielson. So go ahead and bring it, because this fox has a few tricks to show you.

Cynric: And as for you, Wolf, you don't exactly scream Toughman Champion material to me, but if you want a shot, that's your right. But this belt is mine; when everyone else lost their belts, I held onto this one. And I'm not letting it go for the likes of you. I knocked out everybody in my path to keep it, and even your partner couldn't take it from me when he had free reign to use any weapon he wanted. Now it's your turn, and you get to feel the same punishment, the same embarrassment, the same feeling of inadequacy when you wake up wondering just exactly how I kicked your ass this time.

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, officials are desperately trying to hold the Pyro Twins and the Briscoes apart. Both teams are shouting back and forth about getting a shot at the tag titles and manning up, but Jay and Dusty finally break free and go at it with the Briscoes only to be pulled apart again.)

(In the arena, "Third Reich from the Sun" hits and Nykk, Ronin Fox and Alan Mayse make their way to the ring.)

David: Something has set off the Pyro Twins and the Briscoes backstage, and it was only a matter of time. I'm surprised it took this long to happen. Nonetheless, we have our six-man main event for you this evening as Nykk, Ronin Fox and Alan Mayse represent the House of Lords.

Dick: A few years ago, these three were known as the kings of RCW in the back. The promotion pretty much centered around these three for its entire existence, but they were always on opposing sides. How dangerous are they going to be now that they're together?

("The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson, Eddie Crowe and Kevin Stone make their way to the ring.)

David: Eddie and Danielson almost went at it earlier on, but Stone was able to play peacemaker. But they will meet in just three days for that MECCA Championship, and the House of Lords has them convinced that the other is joining up with them.

Dick: Ever since Katie Piehl decreed that she wasn't going to let the House of Lords anywhere near the MECCA Championship, they've been stirring up dissension and basically causing chaos.

(FINISH: Danielson charges Alan, but gets backdropped over the top rope. Danielson lands on the ring apron and staggers Alan with a forearm and then leaps off the apron with a European uppercut to Nykk on the floor. Stone reverses a whip on Fox into the corner and charges with the clothesline. However, Eddie doesn't see Stone and charges in at the same time with the running dropkick, catching Stone in the back of the head. Stone staggers as Alan tackles Eddie, allowing Fox to hit Stone with the Tail End and cover for the three count.)

Winners: The House of Lords

David: The House of Lords picks up the victory, but what was the deal with Eddie there. Was it an accident?

Dick: I don't know, but the House of Lords isn't letting that stop them from getting their shots in!

(Fox and Alan continue to beat down Eddie and Stone, until Danielson gets back in the ring and gives Fox a European uppercut. He rolls out of the ring, and Alan bails as well, regrouping with Nykk in aisle. When Eddie gets up, Danielson shoves him back down, accusing him of working with the House of Lords during the match. Eddie immediately gets up and slugs Danielson in the face. Danielson tackles Eddie, and they duke it out as Stone tries to pull them apart and the House of Lords laugh at them in the aisle.)

David: It's broken down between Bryan Danielson and Eddie Crowe, and you have to wonder if they're falling right into the plans of the House of Lords. It all comes to a head this Saturday at Scared Stiff. Until then, thank you for joining us!
