("Neocon" opening.)
David: Welcome to Trenton, New Jersey, fans, as MECCA presents Go Time! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and we found out earlier in the week that Ronin Fox and Cynric accepted the Killer Kanines' challenge, so tonight the two teams will meet.
Dick: Also, the tag titles will be on the line as Matt Sydal and Delirious make their first defense and it will be against Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher of the UK Wrecking Crew.
David: Plus we'll hear from the two participants in our World Title match at Scared Stiff, Bryan Danielson and Eddie Crowe. The House of Lords claim that Eddie has joined them. Eddie has denied that claim, and last week accused Danielson of being the one who has joined them. What's the real story? Hopefully we find out tonight.
("Soul Creation" hits and Ronin Fox and Cynric make their way to the ring.)
David: The brothers Ronin Fox and Cynric have been on a collision course with the Killer Kanines ever since Cynric waffled Anubis with that chair two weeks ago. Anubis was all set to gain the Toughman Title last week in a No DQ Match, but thanks to Fox, Cynric once again was able to barely scrape by with his title reign intact.
Dick: I'm not sure raising the ire of Anubis is a smart thing to do, but Fox and Cynric are former tag team champs as well, so they know what they're doing.
("Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)
David: Anubis and the Wild Wolf also mentioned something about additional challenges last week, but didn't reveal what they were. I guess they want to take care of one battle at a time.
Dick: And they're not wasting time getting started!
(Fox and Cynric meet the Kanines in the aisle, and the two teams brawl to start off the match.)
(FINISH: Much of the match takes place outside the ring, and as Cynric and Anubis brawl, Fox hits a curb stomp on Wolf inside the ring. He goes out to help his brother, and As Anubis has Cynric pressed overhead, ready to throw him off the stage, Fox lands a shot to the ribs and Cynric lands on his feet. They whip Anubis into a set piece, and then Cynric dumps a bunch of guardrails stacked up against it on top of the big man. Fox goes back to the ring as Cynric argues with the ref about the legality of what he did, claiming he just shoved the guardrails and can't help where they landed. Wolf meets Fox with a running boot and goes for the Twig Snap, but Fox gives him a powerbomb. Cynric gets on the apron, and Fox tags him. Cynric puts Wolf on his shoulders and Fox goes to the top rope. However, Anubis manages to stagger back to ringside and crotches Fox on the top rope. Wolf spins around on Cynric and takes him over with is leg. He hits an enzugiri, and then plants Cynric with a small package driver, getting the pin.)
Winners: The Killer Kanines
David: The Kanines are victorious, and the Wild Wolf just scored the victory over the Toughman Champion!
Dick: He just did what his partner was unable to do, and what a knock down drag out that match was.
David: We'll be back with more MECCA action!
(In the locker room, Eddie Crowe is in front of a camera.)
Eddie: You know, I've spent a lot of time building up my reputation here in MECCA, both as champion and not. But with one small insinuation, the House of Lords wants to bring all my hard work down. But at Scared Stiff, I have the opportunity to... what are you doing here?
(Bryan Danielson enters.)
Danielson: Relax, Eddie, I'm not here to fight. Even if you don't believe me, I hate the House of Lords just as much as you do and want to see them taken down. But they've involved themselves in our business, and though I have no reason to doubt you, with this title on the line, I can't afford to take any chances. Now tonight, I got word from Katie Piehl that in an effort to "test each other's loyalties" so to speak, she's given us the power to book each other's matches.
Eddie: Is that right?
Danielson: That's right, so you can book me against anyone you want in order to prove that I'm not a member of the House of Lords.
Eddie: Then I think I have just the opponent for you. You see, I have my title shot at Scared Stiff no matter who the champion is. It doesn't have to be you. So I'm going to book you vs. your partner Kevin Stone with that belt on the line. If you have joined the House of Lords, let's just see if they're willing to let you fall to Stone tonight. I think the truth will definitely come out.
Danielson: All right, fair enough. Then for your match, you're putting your Contender Star spot on the line. Your opponent tonight is your very own brother, Jay Crowe. I know you claim to have no love for the Pyro Twins anymore, but let's just see if the House of Lords is willing to let your brother go all out against you. That will be an interesting test.
Eddie: It certainly will, on both our parts. But this doesn't change a thing about Scared Stiff, Danielson. House of Lords or no, I'm walking out with the title I never should have lost to begin with.
Danielson: Well, I think you're wrong, because I think I'm going to prove that I'm the best wrestler in the world by taking down the best champion in MECCA history.
(They stare each other down, and then back away, neither willing to turn his back on the other.)
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Problems" hits and Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher make their way to the ring.)
David: We've got the tag titles on the line right here on Go Time, and we just found out that the World Title will be on the line in the main event. Bryan Danielson defends against Kevin Stone, as per the request of Eddie Crowe!
Dick: And Eddie will take on his brother Jay later on, as well. This should be a very interesting night.
("Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious and Matt Sydal make their way to the ring.)
David: Delirious and Sydal were victorious over the Pyro Twins two weeks ago to win their first titles here in MECCA, but now the real work begins as they have to prove themselves against established teams.
Dick: They've surprised a lot of people, but now it's open season in the tag team division, so we'll see just how well they hold up.
(FINISH: The UKWC go for the Wrecking Ball on Sydal, but Delirious intercepts Fletcher with BAM! Nathans forearms Delirious from behind and whips him into the corner, but Delirious reverses. He charges in with a shoulder thrust and stays put. Sydal gets up and vaults off Delirious's back with a flying knee strike. Nathans falls into a seated position, and Delirious hits the Panic Attack. Fletcher charges Sydal, but gets a step up enzugiri that sends him out of the ring. Delirious goes to the top and Sydal lifts Nathans wheelbarrow style for Delirious, who comes off with Shadows Over Hell. Delirious covers Nathans and gets the three count.)
Winners: Delirious and Matt Sydal
David: Delirious and Sydal do it again with a win over the first tag champs in MECCA history, and we haven't seen the last of these two as champions.
(As Delirious and Sydal celebrate, the Surgeons suddenly run in with Medea Knight hot on their heels. They attack Delirious and Sydal from behind. They pound away, and Stryker lifts Sydal into a fireman's carry to hit the Stryker Driver. Delirious bites Walters's forehead, but Stryker attacks from behind and lifts him onto his shoulders. They hit the Human Error, and put the boots to Sydal and Delirious, and Medea joins in as well before officials come out to pull them off.)
David: The Surgeons just attacked unprovoked, and of course it was last week that they made the challenge to Delirious and Sydal for Scared Stiff.
Dick: Maybe they took exception to the fact that Delirious and Sydal took this match before theirs, and against two guys the Surgeons defeated last week.
David: Nevertheless, the tag titles will be up for grabs at Scared Stiff. When we come back, it will be brother against brother as Jay Crowe of the Pyro Twins takes on Eddie Crowe!
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Katie Piehl.)
Bill: I'm here with the executor of MECCA, Katie Piehl, and Ms. Piehl, what are your thoughts on the recent allegations by the House of Lords that they have acquired Eddie Crowe for their group?
Katie: Believe me, Bill, I know this is a ruse of some kind, just a plan for the House of Lords to regain the World Title, whichever member they choose to put it on. I only ask Eddie and Bryan that they keep a level head, and I realize the stakes are high, but if we allow the House of Lords to divide us, we will lose this war...
(Shadow enters.)
Shadow: Katie, don't pretend to know the House of Lords' business. Everything we say is true, and everything we predict comes to pass. Now, you and I have other matters to discuss. Last week I requested the next shot at the Ladies' Title, and I haven't heard anything since then. I want my shot, Katie!
Katie: What else is new? I don't appreciate being interrupted, but I will say this. I don't want the House of Lords near any of the title belts, but in the end the champion has a say as well. I spoke with Shelirious, and though I didn't understand all of what she said, I did get the gist of it. She said that if you want a title shot, you can have one, as long as you win a match tonight.
Shadow: That's all? Who do I have to beat?
Katie: Daizee Haze.
(Shadow laughs.)
Shadow: They're the same person, Katie. After I beat Daizee tonight, you might as well just hand me the title.
Katie: Shelirious is the champion, not Daizee Haze. So if you want that title shot, meet Daizee in the ring later and if you win, it will be Shadow vs. Shelirious at Scared Stiff on October 27.
Shadow: Fine. Daizee's as good as done, and at Scared Stiff, just like last year, I'm walking out the Ladies' Champion and the House of Lords will start reclaiming what rightfully belongs to it, starting with me.
(Shadow leaves.)
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Burning Times" hits and Jay Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: We're back on Go Time, and this will be the first of the matches booked by Eddie Crowe and Bryan Danielson themselves. Danielson wants to see if there's any reluctance on Eddie's part to face his own brother, who is in the House of Lords, who claims that Eddie is in their pocket.
Dick: If not, this is a dangerous situation for Eddie Crowe, as Jay has to be still fuming over losing the tag titles.
("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: No one has ever doubted the former MECCA Champion's commitment to this company, but you can just never be sure just who is going to turn on who, as Alan Mayse showed us a month ago.
Dick: There has never been much love between Eddie and Danielson to begin with, so I'd imagine that makes it all the easier for the House of Lords to sow dissension between them.
(FINISH: Eddie seems to have no problem fighting Jay, and eventually takes him down with the running brainbuster. Bryan Danielson comes out to watch the match, and Eddie looks a bit wary that he's just standing out there by the stage. He goes for the Eddie Dive, but Jay gets his knees up. He rolls Eddie over into an inside cradle, getting a close two count. Jay nails Eddie with a clothesline and lifts him for the Overhaul. Eddie escapes and tries a back suplex. Jay rolls to his feet, but Eddie sends him down with a standing enzugiri. Eddie goes up top, and meets Danielson's gaze for a moment, saying this is a message for him. He tries a 450 back senton, but Jay moves and Eddie crashes to the mat. Jay gets Eddie to his feet and gives him the Overhaul, covering him for the three count.)
Winner: Jay Crowe
David: Jay with the victory and gains a spot on the Contender Star in what has to be considered an upset, despite Jay being the older brother.
Dick: Jay has never had singles success against Eddie in the past, but Eddie was clearly distracted by the presence of Bryan Danielson. Eddie has accused the American Dragon of being the one to join up with the House of Lords with him being the red herring so to speak, and maybe he thought Danielson might get involved.
David: Well, Danielson still has a match himself to worry about when he puts the World Title on the line against Kevin Stone in the main event. We'll be back with Shadow against Daizee Haze!
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with Katie Piehl.)
Bill: Ms. Piehl, I'm sorry about that interruption earlier, but I'm told you want to finish what you're going to say.
Katie: It's not much, Bill, I just wanted to add that it is now official for Scared Stiff: a tag team dream match, as the Pyro Twins are signed to take on the Briscoes in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a match that's a long time coming for our fans and...
(Nykk suddenly busts in, holding Jamie Chan by the throat and backing him up against the wall.)
Katie: Damn it!
Nykk: I'm going to tell you one more time, Chan, quit picking on my cousin. I do watch Rundown, you know, and I've seen you take liberties with him in two different matches!
(Chan swats Nykk's hands away.)
Chan: Your cousin needs to earn his place in this locker room just like everyone else did, and just like I did. And if you're so keen to step in and defend him, then why don't I pick on you instead? Ms. Piehl, you can count me in for the Stiff Strike Challenge. I may have come up short last year, but now I'm coming to Nashville to win, and I'll use that victory to springboard my career straight to the top of this promotion!
(Chan walks away, and Nykk glares after him.)
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Sensi" hits and Daizee Haze makes her way to the ring.)
David: We're back with more MECCA action, and it's time for a very close, personal friend of our Ladies' Champion to take to the ring.
Dick: Daizee Haze has been claiming ignorance on the Shelirious issue for weeks, and though no one is fooled by the identity of our Ladies' Champion, they have remained two separate entities so far.
("Gangsta Bitch" hits and Shadow makes her way to the ring.)
David: Shadow is desperate to reclaim the Ladies' Title, and a win over Daizee right now would get her that title match for Scared Stiff.
Dick: Katie Piehl already stated that Lisa Letty is not getting another shot at the belt, so Shadow is probably the House of Lords' best hope at this time.
(FINISH: Daizee hits the heart punch and goes for the Mind Trip, but Shadow rolls through. Daizee rolls through with her and hits a dropkick, covering for a two count. She picks Shadow up, but she swats Daizee's hands away and hits her with two elbow strikers. She bounces off the ropes for the Interceptor, but Daizee ducks to avoid it. Shadow spins right around to nail the move to the back of Daizee's head, however. She staggers, and Shadow locks in the Dragon Sleeper, dropping back with a body scissors. After a few moments, Daizee taps out.)
Winner: Shadow
David: Shadow has defeated the Haze, and now she goes on to Scared Stiff against Shelirious for the Ladies' Title.
Dick: Good win for Shadow, but will she fall to the same tricks that Lisa Letty did against that masked stranger?
David: That remains to be seen, but when we come back, our main event for the World Title will go on. Bryan Danielson takes on Kevin Stone, but first Bill Bicknell is standing by with Austin Lee.
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with Austin Lee.)
Bill: Austin, congratulations on your victory last week, but I'm sure you didn't come to MECCA to wrestle Huh. Do you have plans to step into the ring with bigger game in the near future?
Austin: Absolutely, Bill, and it's going to start at Scared Stiff. Nykk, you've been dodging me since I got here in July. I got a little taste in August, but I think it's time we were in the same ring at the same time. I'm putting forth my name as the last man in the Stiff Strike Challenge. And after I win, and after the House of Lords is no more, I will go on to challenge for the MECCA Championship. Nykk, your time is done and mine is just beginning.
(Commercial Break)
(In the locker room, Bryan Danielson is lacing up his boots when Tristan Lee enters.)
Tristan: Hey, mate.
Danielson: Tristan, what's going on?
Tristan: Listen, I know you've got a big match up next against Kevin, but I just wanted to give you some friendly advice. Don't let the House of Lords get between you and Eddie. We need all the help we can get in this war, and we're not going to find better help than Eddie. We know that Nykk says he's a part of the House of Lords, but that's most likely a lie.
Danielson: I know that, Tristan. And believe me, I want to give Eddie the benefit of a doubt. I haven't once doubted his integrity, but then he comes back and accuses me of being the one to join the House of Lords? That's insulting. It doesn't matter; after I get past Kevin tonight, I'm going on to Scared Stiff to beat Eddie and prove once and for all that I'm the best wrestler in the world. And on the off chance that he has joined up with the House of Lords... well, that will just be one more of their soldiers that will fall at my hands.
(In the arena, "At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)
David: It's time for our main event, a match booked by Eddie Crowe himself. Earlier on, we saw him face his brother Jay at Danielson's request, and Eddie requested that Dragon put the title on the line right here.
Dick: Eddie gets his title shot at Scared Stiff regardless, so he won't mind if there's a title change, unlike last month when his title shot had to be delayed.
("The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring.)
David: We understand that if the MECCA Monster does happen to win the title tonight, he will face Eddie Crowe in the main event of Scared Stiff, and Bryan Danielson will take his place in the Stiff Strike Challenge.
Dick: We saw just moments ago that Danielson is bothered by the fact that Eddie has insulted his integrity, but he had better put that aside for the time being and concentrate on former MECCA Champion Kevin Stone.
(FINISH: Stone goes for the Stone Cutter, but Danielson lands on his feet and counters with the Crossface Chickenwing. Stone tries to get to the ropes, but Danielson pulls him back to the center. Stone is so large that he can't quite get him down with the body scissors. He finally jumps on Stone's back in an attempt to take him down, but Stone just falls back to the mat, crushing Danielson. Stone picks Danielson up and tries to lock in a sleeper, but Danielson headbutts him and backs him into a corner, hitting him with chops. He whips Stone to the opposite corner, but gets reversed. Danielson climbs the turnbuckles and backflips over a charging Stone, and then tries to take him down into Cattle Mutilation. Stone wiggles free, but Danielson meets him with a roaring forearm. He gives Stone a back suplex and then goes for Cattle Mutilation, but instead hooks the arms and rolls Stone over into a pinning predicament, getting the three count.)
Winner: Bryan Danielson
David: The American Dragon retains the World Title, and will go on to Scared Stiff to defend against Eddie Crowe.
Dick: What a win for Danielson over his frequent tag team partner, but I don't know that there will be such an amicable ending to his match with Eddie.
(Stone shakes Danielson's hand, and Danielson raises Stone's arm out of respect. Suddenly, the House of Lords hits the ring and attacks Stone from behind. Nykk, Mayse, Huh and Joey beat down Kevin as Danielson looks on. Nykk tells him to hold on a minute, and gets a mic as Mayse and Huh throw Kevin out of the ring.)
Nykk: Ladies and gentlemen, the House of Lords is here in force, and tonight is a very special night because we're welcoming a new member to our group. Bryan Danielson, congratulations on making a fine career choice, and I know as the holder of the MECCA World Title you will represent our organization with the quality we've come to expect. So everyone, give it up for the American Dragon, the newest member of the House of Lords!
(Huh, Alan and Joey applaud, but before Danielson can say anything, Eddie Crowe runs down to the ring. He goes right for Danielson and shoves him, saying he knew it all along. After he berates Danielson some, Nykk attacks him from behind with the mic. The House of Lords stomp away on Eddie, but Danielson pulls them off, yelling at Nykk. He moves toward Eddie, and looks as if he might attack himself, but just brushes off the House of Lords and leaves the ring, heading to the back, saying he would never join up with the likes of them.)
David: I guess Nykk lied to all of us again, as Danielson seems to have not joined them after all, but the seeds of distrust have definitely been planted, as Danielson didn't even try to help Eddie.
Dick: Our World Champion may have also felt that if Eddie really was a part of the House of Lords, that could have been a trap. We just won't know until we see the outcome at Scared Stiff.
David: Thank you for joining us this week, fans. We'll be back next week for the last Go Time before Scared Stiff. We'll see you then!
