("Neocon" opening.)
David: MECCA has returned to Cleveland, Ohio, and thank you everyone for joining us here on Go Time! I'm David Mills, alongside Dick Broccoli, and we have a big tag team main event tonight as Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher of the UK Wrecking Crew take on Cynric and the World Champion Ronin Fox.
Dick: The UKWC was not successful against the House of Lords this past Saturday, but Nathans and Fletcher want some payback.
David: And though Alan Mayse didn't win the World Title at Summertime Showdown, he's wasting no time getting back in the title picture, because he's going for a Contender Star spot against Trent Acid.
Dick: Also, Eddie Crowe was a surprise entrant into the Three Way Dance at Summertime Showdown, and ended up winning that four-way match to receive a future title shot, and tonight MECCA executor will confirm that Eddie Crowe will finally get a rematch for the World Title.
("Dance Commander" hits and Heather Star makes her way to the ring.)
David: The ladies' division of MECCA is heating up, and the ladies are all jockeying for position for a title shot since Lisa Letty retained her title at Summertime Showdown.
Dick: Heather Star is certainly looking for an opportunity, as are all the women in this Four Corners Match.
("Mercedes" hits and Mercedes Martinez makes her way to the ring.)
David: Mercedes Martinez has had some strong showings here in MECCA, but needs that big win in order to break out from the pack.
Dick: That win could come right here, and Mercedes came very close to beating Lisa's most recent challenger Daizee Haze last week.
("Alcoholocaust" hits and Sara Del Rey makes her way to the ring.)
David: Sara Del Rey has been vocal about receiving a title shot, but unfortunately she fell to Shadow at Summertime Showdown, as did everyone who went up against the House of Lords.
Dick: There were some shady circumstances in that match, but a loss is a loss and Sara needs this win.
("Gangsta Bitch" hits and Shadow makes her way to the ring.)
David: The House of Lords representative in this match would like nothing more than to keep these other ladies from getting a shot at Lisa Letty.
Dick: But don't kid yourself about Shadow. She wants that title herself, even if she is allied with the House of Lords.
(FINISH: Star goes up to the top rope for the Falling Star Press on Del Rey, but Mercedes rushes over and pushes her off the top rope, making her crash to the floor. Mercedes clotheslines Shadow and then goes for the Fisherman's Buster. Shadow escapes and hits Mercedes from behind with the Interceptor. Martinez staggers forward and Sara drives her shoulder into her midsection, causing her to bounce Shadow out of the ring with a butt bump. Sara spins around Mercedes and rolls her up for the three count.)
Winner: Sara Del Rey
David: The American Angel is victorious, and this is a message that she's still relevant in the title picture.
Dick: She could be certainly considered for the next title shot now, but Shadow almost had that match won, and I'm sure she'll have something to say about that.
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with the Surgeons and Medea Knight.)
Bill: I'm here with the Surgeons and their manager, Medea Knight, and at Summertime Showdown...
Medea: Did you see it, Bill? When the Killer Kanines went crashing through those tables, it was beautiful!
Bill: But you still lost the match...
Medea: Hey, that doesn't matter. Our new goal is to cause the Kanines as much pain as possible and we certainly did that. We're close, I think all we need is one more match and we'll come out on top.
Stryker: Anubis, Wild Wolf, you found out first hand what happens when you mess with the Surgeons. You get taken apart, piece by piece.
Walters: And it will happen every time you step in the ring with us, win or lose. But if we want those tag titles, we need that elusive win, so what do you say, Kanines? One more match. You want revenge on us for putting you through tables, right? Then come on. Get in the ring with us again.
Medea: The bottom line is, boys, the Surgeons are the new big thing in the tag team scene. And that's the way it's going to stay.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "The Chase" hits and Trent Acid makes his way to the ring.)
David: We're back on Go Time, and we have a match with two people who need a win. Acid was unsuccessful in his bid to secure a title shot at Summertime Showdown, when Katie Piehl introduced a surprise entrant, making it a Four Way Dance, and that entrant was Eddie Crowe, who went on to win the title shot.
Dick: He was also successfully double teamed and eliminated by Delirious and Matt Sydal, and he didn't have his partner there to help him out.
("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)
David: Alan is coming off a very disappointing loss to Ronin Fox in their World Title match, but he can get right back into the title picture with one win right here.
Dick: Alan felt it was his destiny to win the belt in his hometown against an old rival, but it was not to be.
(FINISH: Alan goes for the Tiger Bomb, but Acid backdrops him and bounces off the ropes, going for the Yakuza Kick. Alan catches his foot and pulls Acid in, hitting an exploder suplex. He hits a springboard dropkick and then hits the Tiger Bomb, getting the three count.)
Winner: Alan Mayse
David: Alan dispatches Trent Acid with not a whole lot of effort on his part, and he is now on the Contender Star.
Dick: Alan won't let that loss to Fox keep him down. He's still in the hunt.
David: Still to come, Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher will take on Ronin Fox and Cynric in the main event.
(Backstage, Lisa Letty is about to enter her dressing room, but finds the way barred by Daizee Haze.)
Lisa: Do you mind moving?
Daizee: So what's this, Lisa? You need your own dressing room now, even on a night where you're not scheduled to be in the ring?
Lisa: I am the Ladies' Champion...
Daizee: Exactly, and that belt would have been mine if you hadn't decided to play your dirty tricks. I want another shot at that title so I can bring peace and love back to the ladies' division.
Lisa: Dirty tricks or not, you had your chance. It's over, Daizee. I'm done with you. Buh-bye.
(Lisa opens the dressing room door to find Delirious lurking on the other side. She starts spouting gibberish, and Lisa screams. Nykk almost immediately comes running.)
Nykk: Lisa! What's wrong?
(He spots Delirious, who starts in on Nykk with the gibberish.)
Nykk: What the hell are you doing in my girlfriend's dressing room!? No, no, shut up! You had your chance at a title shot, and you blew it, and thanks to Katie Piehl now I have to deal with Eddie Crowe coming after the belt. But I'll tell you what, if you're going to lurk in my girlfriend's dressing room like some kind of pervert, you're going to pay the price. Who's that partner of yours? Human Tornado? Well, you're teaming with him tonight in a non-title match against the Pyro Twins, and guess what, buddy? It's going to be up next. Come on, Lisa.
(He guides Lisa away, who is clinging to Nykk like a frightened child.)
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Cool" hits and the Human Tornado and Delirious make their way to the ring.)
David: It's time for a non-title tag match that was just made before the break when Lisa Letty found Delirious waiting in her dressing room. Now Nykk has booked this match, and Tornado didn't even do anything!
Dick: I can't say that hanging out in the boss's lady's locker room was a good career move for Delirious, and now Nykk is going to make him pay the price.
("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)
David: Jay and Dusty had a successful title defense over Bryan Danielson and Kevin Stone at Summertime Showdown, and showed everyone exactly why they are the most dominant team in MECCA history.
Dick: And Nykk knows that, which is why he picked the Pyro Twins to go after Delirious.
(FINISH: The Pyro Twins attack Tornado immediately and throw him out of the ring. Every time he tries to get back on the apron, he gets knocked off, and the Pyro Twins keep it two on one on Delirious. Delirious finally manages to hit BAM! on Jay, and crawls toward his corner, but Dusty runs around the corner of the ring and pulls Tornado off the apron, ramming him into the guardrail. He gets back in and kicks Delirious in the head. They give Delirious Final Darkness and Jay covers, but pulls Delirious up at two. They give him another Final Darkness, and Jay gets the pin this time.)
Winners: The Pyro Twins
David: Delirious didn't stand a chance by himself as the Pyro Twins never let Tornado in the match, and the MECCA Tag Team Champions basically had free reign over the masked man.
Dick: I hope this satisfied Nykk, and I hope Delirious uses safer means to ask for title shots in the future.
(As the Pyro Twins celebrate, the Briscoes suddenly emerge from the crowd. They attack Jay and Dusty from behind, and start beating them up. Mark throws Dusty from the ring, and then dives over the top rope onto him. He gets back on the apron, and the Briscoes give Jay a Spike Jay Driller. The Briscoes pick up the tag team belts and hold them up.)
David: The Briscoes have just laid out the Pyro Twins, and it's been a long time since that has happened!
Dick: If Jay and Mark wanted to make an impression, that's the way to do it. If any team can stand up to the Pyro Twins, it's these two brothers.
(Dusty gets back in the ring to check on Jay as the Briscoes back up the aisle, motioning that they want the tag team belts and telling the Pyro Twins to man up. Dusty glares at them as he helps Jay to his feet.)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with Eddie Crowe and Katie Piehl.)
Bill: I'm here with former MECCA World Champion Eddie Crowe, and the MECCA executor Katie Piehl. Ms. Piehl, I understand you have an announcement.
Katie: That's right, Bill, and it has to do with the main event of At Your Own Risk on September 30. Eddie, first of all, congratulations on winning the Four Way Dance at Summertime Showdown despite the short notice I gave you. Now, because of your win you earned a shot at the World Title, and I've decided that you will receive that title shot against Ronin Fox in Miami on September 30, live on pay-per-view.
Eddie: Thank you very much, Ms. Piehl, and Fox, this has been a long time coming. Ever since you and Nykk tricked me into wrestling both of you in the same night and you finally got one over on me, I've been biding my time, waiting for my chance to force you into the ring with me, since you haven't gone willingly. You interrupted my title reign, the longest reign in MECCA's history, and you will pay for that. At Your Own Risk, Fox vs. Crowe, I come to take back what's rightfully mine. If you can prove that you can beat me clean on an even playing field like you've done with guys like Alan and Low Ki, then fine. But I'm confident that just like at the MECCA Challenge III, when we're on even terms, beat me... you can't. Keep that title from me... you won't. See you on the 30th.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Pajamarama" hits and Huh makes his way to the ring.)
David: What an announcement before the break, Katie Piehl officially made the main event of At Your Own Risk for the MECCA World Championship, Ronin Fox defending against Eddie Crowe
Dick: What a huge match to headline what's sure to be a huge show.
("Clavicle" hits and Matt Sydal makes his way to the ring.)
David: We see Matt Sydal in action, who came close to getting that title shot that Eddie Crowe now has. But he plans to stay competitive against the House of Lords.
Dick: Sydal will have to wait for his next World Title opportunity, but he's been talking backstage recently about going after some of the other titles in MECCA.
(FINISH: Huh hits an avalanche in the corner and then a bulldog. He goes up for the moonsault, but Sydal moves out of the way. He gives Huh an enzugiri, and then goes for the Here It Is Driver. Huh escapes and tries an Okana Roll, but Sydal hangs onto the ropes and gives Huh a spinning heel kick. He goes up and tries the Shooting Sydal Press, but Huh moves. Sydal lands on his feet and ducks a clothesline from Huh. He takes him over with a headscissors, and then rolls to his feet and jumps back into the roll up, getting the three count.)
Winner: Matt Sydal
David: Good job by Matt Sydal, outwrestling the larger Huh, and if Nykk was hoping Huh would take Sydal off the Contender Star tonight, he's going to be disappointed.
Dick: Sydal definitely wants to stay in the title picture, and he'll do that as long as he keeps winning.
(Joey Sprinklers suddenly runs out and attacks Sydal from behind. He and Huh beat down Sydal, and Huh holds him for Joey. Joey tries to kick him below the belt, but Sydal jumps and Huh takes the kick. Sydal dropkicks Joey from behind, sending him into Huh, who falls over and rolls out of the ring. Sydal gives Joey the Here It Is Driver and rolls him out after Huh.)
David: I guess Joey and Huh are going to have to get up earlier in the morning to put one over on Matt Sydal.
Dick: That's incompetent even by their standards. They had him dead to rights.
David: When we come back, it's time for the main event. Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher take on Ronin Fox and Cynric!
(In the locker room, Jay is throwing people's bags around and upends a table while Dusty pounds away on a wrestling school student in the corner. The rest of the students are scattering, and Jay yanks the cameraman over to where Dusty is.)
Jay: You see this, Briscoes? This is just a taste of the hell you've just unleashed! Nobody lays us out like that. We are the best team in the world, and you're about to find that out to your own dismay. We don't care if we have to put the titles on the line or not, we're going to make you bleed, we're going to make you pay, we're going to make you burn!
(Dusty takes a lighter out of his pocket and strikes a flame, but officials arrive and intervene before things can get more out of control.)
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Cynric is walking down the hallway when he encounters Matt Sydal.)
Sydal: Good luck out there. You guys seem to be slipping.
Cynric: What?
Sydal: It's just that I not only beat one of your boys, I sent him running with his buddy too. It looks like you guys peaked at Summertime Showdown.
Cynric: You beat one of the lowest people on our totem pole, Sydal. You haven't proven anything unless it's against the likes of me, Fox, Nykk or the Pyro Twins. If you think you can get another shot at Fox...
Sydal: Actually, I was thinking along the lines of something different.
(He taps the Toughman title belt on Cynric's shoulder. Cynric chuckles.)
Cynric: I'd be careful if I were you. You don't want to end up like Tristan Lee and Andy Nathans... I'd just keep walking and not look back if I were you.
(Cynric walks away, and Sydal smirks at him.)
(Elsewhere, Ronin Fox is stretching for his match when Eddie Crowe wanders by.)
Fox: Hey!
(Eddie stops and glares at him.)
Fox: You think you're pretty slick, getting in on that match in the last minute, knowing that Katie had the power to book the matches she wanted at Summertime Showdown? That makes you no different than what you accuse me of doing, of tricking you out of this title.
Eddie: The difference is, you have a month's notice to know that I'm coming for your ass. And remember, at the MECCA Challenge III, when we were on equal footing, I walked away victorious. ("Soul Creation" starts playing) That would be your music. Enjoy your last month as champion.
(Fox glares at Eddie, but leaves without further incident.)
(In the arena, Ronin Fox and Cynric make their way to the ring.)
David: Eddie Crowe is definitely making the champ nervous, but I have a feeling Fox has a few more tricks up his sleeve for At Your Own Risk.
Dick: And what about Matt Sydal confronting Cynric? It looks like Sydal is preparing to challenge for a title himself.
("Problems" hits and Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher make their way to the ring.)
David: Nathans and Fletcher are still incensed at the House of Lords for taking out Nikki Chandler, but they've also been making noise about challenging the Pyro Twins again.
Dick: They may have to go through the Briscoes first, after what happened earlier.
(FINISH: Nathans goes for London Bridge is Falling Down on Fox, but Fox shoves him off the turnbuckles. Cynric picks him up on his shoulders and they prepare for the Dead End. However, Fletcher clips Cynric's knee, allowing Nathans to hit a reverse rana, and Fletcher then runs to the corner, crotching Fox. The UKWC hit the Wrecking Ball, and Nathans covers Cynric for the pin.)
Winners: Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher
David: The UKWC pick up the victory over the House of Lords, and former tag team champs at that. We could see them challenging the Pyro Twins after all!
Dick: The UKWC gains some measure of revenge for Summertime Showdown, and this definitely positions them nicely in the tag team scene.
David: We're out of time, but be sure to join us right back here next week on Go Time!
