("Neocon" opening.)
David: Welcome to Go Time, presented by MECCA! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and we are just three days away from our return to pay-per-view for Summertime Showdown on August 25. As a result of what happened last week, Austin and Tristan Lee wanted Nykk and Ronin Fox in the ring tonight, but Nykk bowed out of the match, so tonight it will be the Lees vs. Ronin Fox and Huh in the main event.
Dick: Also, though the Ladies' Title Match on Saturday is still in doubt, Daizee Haze will be in action tonight against Mercedes Martinez.
David: Plus we'll have a Toughman Title Match, and it will be right now!
("Problems" hits and Andy Nathans makes his way to the ring.)
David: Nathans is just as upset as anybody about Nikki Chandler taking a piledriver through a table last week at the hands of Nykk. You would think he would be more sensitive about things, given his girlfriend's current condition.
Dick: Nykk will do anything to achieve his goals, even if it's just winning a single match.
("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)
David: Nathans has a chance to gain some measure of revenge by hitting the House of Lords where it hurts and beating Cynric for the Toughman Title.
Dick: The House of Lords control every title in MECCA, and they're not about to let go of that power without a fight.
(FINISH: Cynric goes for the Shock Cannon, but Nathans counters into a reverse DDT. He sets Cynric on the top rope and goes for London Bridge is Falling Down. Cynric headbutts his way out of it, and instead Nathans takes him down to the mat with a cross armbreaker off the top. Cynric gets a foot on the bottom rope, but the ref reminds him there are no rope breaks. Cynric grabs his arm to alleviate the pressure and turns over onto Nathans for a two count. They both get up, and Nathans kicks Cynric hard in the midsection. Cynric blocks a left, then a right, and beats Nathans to the roundhouse kick, knocking him out cold. The ref checks on Nathans and then calls for the bell.)
Winner: Cynric
David: Cynric remains Toughman Champion after a brutal knockout on Nathans.
Dick: Cynric seems to have found his niche here in MECCA, as he's just been knocking out everyone recently.
David: We'll be right back with more action, but first Bill Bicknell is standing by with Sara Del Rey, the American Angel.
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with Sara Del Rey.)
Bill: Thank you, David, I am indeed here with Sara Del Rey, who has a match coming up at Summertime Showdown against Shadow from the House of Lords. Originally, the match was made to keep Shadow busy so that she could not interfere in the Ladies' Title match, but with that up in the air at the moment, what are your goals now?
Del Rey: My goal is to win, Bill Bicknell, as it always has been. Shadow, I beat you in the middle of the ring a few weeks ago, but you weren't content with that. But with two wins over a former Ladies' Champion, I prepare to launch myself up the card and challenge the winner of the Haze/Letty match. And if the match doesn't take place, if the Ladies' Title has to be vacated, you can bet that I'll be right there at the top, and will be working hard and winning until I have it in my possession.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines and Heather Star make their way to the ring.)
David: We're set for a six-person mixed tag, almost on the eve of a match between the Killer Kanines and the Surgeons which will be under relaxed rules at Summertime Showdown.
Dick: The Kanines have been salivating over this ever since Medea Knight turned on them back at Liberty or Death.
("Lava" hits and the Surgeons and Medea Knight make their way to the ring.)
David: Medea Knight is not a wrestler, but she insisted on stepping into the ring tonight, and Nykk of course okayed it. He seems to have absolutely no problem with women getting hurt recently, after what happened to Lisa.
Dick: This could be a dangerous situation for Medea, not only across the ring from an accomplished wrestler like Star, but two men who physically outmatch her several times over in the Killer Kanines.
(FINISH: Heather dominates Medea when they're tagged in, and she gives Medea a missile dropkick. She puts Medea on her shoulders for Greetings from Heaven, but Medea escapes and rolls Heather up for a two count. Star pushes her off right into the clutches of the Wild Wolf and Anubis, but the Surgeons come in and Stryker clips Anubis's knee while Walters fights it out with Wolf. Stryker and Anubis brawl into the crowd and Medea backs right up into Heather in her haste to get away from Wolf and Walters, and receives Greetings from Heaven as Walters throws Wolf outside the ring. Heather covers, but Walters pulls her off as the ref is distracted by Wolf, and gives her a lung blower. He puts Medea on top of her and then dives through the ropes onto Wolf, and the ref counts three.)
Winners: The Surgeons and Medea Knight
David: Knight has just pinned Star, thanks to John Walters. Heather was dominating her until then.
Dick: The Surgeons have sneaked away with one, but time will tell if they can beat the Killer Kanines at Summertime Showdown, especially with these relaxed rules.
David: Of course, the main event this Saturday will see Alan Mayse and Ronin Fox return to their old stomping grounds and Mayse will challenge for Fox's World Title. Earlier on, there was a bit of a confrontation between the two. Let's take a look.
(In a hallway, Alan Mayse is standing in front of the camera.)
Alan: Hello, MECCA fans, Alan Mayse here. You know, this Saturday I have a big match coming up, probably the biggest in my MECCA career. I've had title shots before, but not in my hometown and not against a rival like Ronin Fox. Fox, we can talk all we want about who won the title first, and who is better than who, but come this Saturday, we'll have to leave it all in the ring. And with Katie Piehl booking the card, don't expect to have any of your friends at ringside to save you, because I'll have you all to myself, and when that bell rings, I will...
(Ronin Fox enters.)
Fox: Excuse me, Alan, excuse me. I hate to interrupt your mic time, but I just felt that I owed it to you to try one more time. A few weeks ago, I offered you the opportunity to join the House of Lords. I understand why you turned me down, but you have to consider the facts. You're getting your title shot regardless this Saturday, and we'll find out who the best man is, but suppose you lose, Alan. Then what? Claw your way back up to the top? The facts speak for themselves. The House of Lords owns all the titles in MECCA. Join us. You could eventually be a champion. You won't be World Champion, but if I were ever to fall to some fluke injury, then who knows?
Alan: Fox, I do not have the time or the energy to deal with your dumb ass right now. This Saturday we get in the ring and wrestle for the most important prize in MECCA, and you would do better preparing for that. I don't care if I have to fight off every House of Lords member by myself at Summertime Showdown, I'm walking out of the Hara Arena with that World Title, and when I do, you'll realize that I did it on hard work, dedication and talent, not because of who I'm associated with. And you try and look in the mirror and deal with that.
(Alan walks away.)
(In the arena, "The Chase" hits and the Backseat Boyz make their way to the ring.)
David: We're back with a grudge match, as the Backseat Boyz make their return to tag team action.
Dick: This match came about last week when Johnny Kashmere made his return and helped his partner Trent Acid get on the Contender Star at the expense of Kevin Stone. Now Acid, Delirious and Matt Sydal will meet in a Three Way Dance at Summertime Showdown and the winner gets a World Title shot.
("At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Bryan Danielson and Kevin Stone make their way to the ring.)
David: The American Dragon and the MECCA Monster will receive a tag title match against the Pyro Twins in just three days on pay-per-view, but Stone was so incensed that he was cost his spot on the Contender Star, he wanted the Backseats right here tonight.
Dick: If the Backseats should pull out the victory and Stone and Danielson go on to win the titles, Acid may have more than one title shot coming his way.
(FINISH: Acid misses a Yakuza Kick on Danielson, allowing Dragon to hook him and he and Stone take him down with a Regalplex/lariat combo into a pinning combination. Kashmere makes the save, and Stone dukes it out with him. He whips him into the ropes, and Kashmere tries to springboard back at Stone, but gets caught with an inverted atomic drop. Stone lifts Kashmere onto Danielson's shoulders and they hit the assisted Stone Cutter. Stone covers and gets the three count.)
Winners: Kevin Stone and Bryan Danielson
David: Stone gets revenge on Johnny Kashmere, but the team of Stone and Danielson have their sights set on gold coming up in Dayton.
Dick: MECCA returns back where it all began, and Stone and Danielson plan to be the first to take one of the titles away from the House of Lords.
(Backstage, Matt Sydal is watching on the monitor when Delirious enters.)
Delirious: Matt, Matt, Matt! Bahaneaman laba conama Summertime Showdown, blablamala Trent Acid, ichinawa bah ni!
Sydal: Look, man, I know we've teamed together in the past, but there's a title shot at stake in just three days, and if you're saying what I think you're saying, I can't afford to work with you.
Delirious: No, no, no, Trent Acid esh abahba inamalish damaba 1, 2, 3, eh tap, tap, tap!
Sydal: Wait, so you're saying that you've got some kind of plan to take Acid down?
(Delirious nods frantically.)
Sydal: And then we can go at it for the title shot?
(Delirious nods again.)
Sydal: I like that scenario. Let's go, er... talk somewhere private.
(He and Delirious walk away.)
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with the UK Wrecking Crew.)
Bill: I'm here with Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher, and guys, you're just three days away from the big eight-man tag against the House of Lords at Summertime Showdown, but first off, after what happened last week, how is Nikki Chandler doing?
Nathans: Well, most of you fans don't know because it happened at the end of the show, but paramedics had to take her off to the hospital because she suffered a broken neck at the hands of Nykk. Now she'll be out for the better part of the next year, and we certainly wish her a speedy recovery. And I understand that she is a wrestler as well and we all take those risks, but Nykk, make no mistake. It may be an eight-man tag in three days, but our true target is you. Austin especially would like to get his hands on you.
Fletcher: And though it won't happen tonight, bailing on your match is probably the smartest thing you could have done, because there would have been no match. It would have been all four of us out there to take you out. But we'll get our chance at Summertime Showdown, because it's not about dominance in this company now, it's personal. The UK Wrecking Crew will demolish you, and everything you hold dear.
(In the arena, "Mercedes" hits and Mercedes Martinez makes her way to the ring.)
David: We just heard it from Nathans and Fletcher, and the official word is that Nikki Chandler will be out for approximately eight months, and we certainly wish her all the best. But now it's time to continue with the action as Mercedes Martinez attempts to solidify her spot in MECCA.
Dick: Mercedes has done well for herself so far, but tonight will be her biggest test to date.
("Sensi" hits and Daizee Haze makes her way to the ring.)
David: We still don't know the status of the Ladies' Title match at Summertime Showdown, but Daizee Haze is taking this match anyway, getting ready for perhaps the biggest shot of her career.
Dick: These two have had a bit of a rivalry over the summer, and now's the time to settle all scores before Daizee heads to Dayton.
(FINISH: Mercedes goes for the Fisherman's Buster, but Daizee escapes and tries an Okana Roll. Instead, she rolls through and brings Mercedes back to her feet, hitting the heart punch. She goes for the Mind Trip, but Mercedes plants her face first into the mat. She picks Daizee up and hits her with forearms. She whips her into the ropes and puts her head down, but Daizee rolls off her back and gives her a Yakuza Kick. She covers and gets the three count.)
Winner: Daizee Haze
David: Daizee with the victory, and we may or may not be seeing her at Summertime Showdown if...
("Serve the Shame" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring on crutches. Her leg is in a cast, and the Ladies' Title belt is hanging limply from her shoulder.)
David: Well, maybe we'll finally find out what's going on, as our Ladies' Champion is making her way to ringside.
Dick: This doesn't look good to me, David. Lisa Letty looks to be in a bad way.
(Lisa gets a mic.)
Lisa: First of all, I want to thank all of you for the get well cards and well wishes I received since I've been out with my injury. It's nice to know that... hey, shut up when I'm talking! Daizee Haze, you and I were to have stepped into this ring in three days time, and it would have been the greatest match in MECCA history. But thanks to your so-called friend Sara Del Rey, I have a torn meniscus, and I am unable to compete this Saturday. So at Summertime Showdown, I want you to meet me in the ring and I will forfeit this title I hold so dear but cannot defend. You will be the new Ladies' Champion. Congratulations.
David: Lisa's going to forfeit the title? I'm sure that's not the way Daizee wants to win it, but if she can't defend it...
(Shadow suddenly makes her way to the ring, waving her arms in the air. She gets in and Lisa gives her the mic.)
Shadow: Lisa, there's no need to give up the belt to this trash. Let me defend the title for you on Saturday; forget about my match with Del Rey, that title's legacy deserves as much. Let it be me against Daizee, and I'll do you proud and retain your title for you until you can come back.
Daizee: Hold on a minute. I've never accepted a cheap victory in my life, and I'm not about to start now. But I'm pretty sure proper protocol is to vacate the title should the champion be unable to defend it, not hand it off to her friend to defend.
Shadow: Who asked you, Haze?
(Shadow slaps Daizee across the face, and Daizee tackles Shadow and pounds away on her as Lisa looks on. When she's in prime position, Lisa brandishes one of her crutches and whacks Daizee across the back with it. Shadow gets up and starts putting the boots to Shadow. Lisa throws her crutch to her, and then takes off her cast, revealing nothing wrong with her knee. They they proceed to beat down Daizee with the cast and crutch.)
David: Oh, my... there's nothing wrong with Lisa's knee! She's been faking it this whole time!
Dick: What a turn of events here, David. And this comes a year after she nearly had her career ended in an in-ring accident.
David: I don't know how anyone's going to be able to trust anything Lisa says from now on. What a dastardly thing to do!
(Sara Del Rey runs out, and Lisa bails out of the ring. Sara pounds away on Shadow with right hands and then whips her into the ropes, giving her a hard clothesline. Lisa pulls her out of the ring and grabs the mic as they retreat up the aisle.)
Lisa: In case you haven't noticed, girls, my knee feels fine. You all fell for the oldest trick in the book, and all this means is that at Summertime Showdown, I continue my reign of dominance. Daizee, it's game on.
David: The Ladies' Title match will take place after all, but we have to take a quick break. Austin and Tristan Lee take on Huh and the World Champion Ronin Fox when we return!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with the Pyro Twins.)
Bill: Jay, Dusty, earlier on we saw another strong showing from Kevin Stone and Bryan Danielson as they prepare to take you on for the MECCA Tag Team Championship at Summertime Showdown. You have to admit, those two are on a roll.
Jay: They may be on a roll, but they're about to roll right into the brick wall that is the Pyro Twins. Stone, Danielson, you make an impressive team, but you've got nothing on us. There is four years of history with me and Dusty, and we've become the best tag team in the entire world. This is the second time we've been MECCA Tag Team Champions, and just like the rest of the House of the Lord who own all the titles, these belts are going nowhere.
Dusty: We're not coming to beat you this Saturday, we're coming to destroy you. We would advise you to step out of our way, because we are the number one team in MECCA, and if you continue on this path, you're just going to get hurt. Just like fire, you don't play with the Pyro Twins, because you're going to get burned; and you'll get burned badly come Summertime Showdown.
(In the arena, "Third Reich from the Sun" hits and Ronin Fox and Huh make their way to the ring.)
David: It's time for our main event, as Ronin Fox and Huh will represent the House of Lords in this tag team match.
Dick: The UKWC wanted Nykk after what he did to Nikki Chandler last week, but he took himself out of this match, which was perhaps beneficial to his health.
("Problems" hits and Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher make their way to the ring.)
David: Nathans and Fletcher are former two-time MECCA Tag Team Champions, and a victory over the House of Lords would certainly help them on the way to getting another title shot.
Dick: But how much tonight is about the win and how much is about revenge? The UKWC need to be careful.
(FINISH: Nykk and Cynric come to ringside once the UKWC give Huh the Wrecking Ball. Nathans goes after Nykk, but the ref tries to make him return to his corner. This allows Fox to hold Fletcher by the arms and Nykk enters the ring. He goes for a running leg lariat, but Fletcher escapes and Nykk nails Fox, sending him out of the ring. Fletcher baits Cynric in, and he tries a rolling koppo kick, but he moves again and Cynric nails Huh with the move. Nathans springboards in with a double clothesline that takes out both Nykk and Cynric, allowing Fletcher to roll up Huh for the three count.)
Winners: Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher
David: The UKWC did it, but they're a bit outnumbered right now!
(The House of Lords converge on Nathans and Fletcher, beating them down. This prompts Austin and Tristan Lee to run out and even the odds. The UKWC brawls with the House of Lords until the Pyro Twins come out to swing it back in their favor. However, Alan Mayse and Eddie Crowe run out to even the odds once again. Alan goes after Fox, who bails out of the ring and backs up the aisle with his title.)
David: It's going to be full scale war at Summertime Showdown, and we need some more officials to break this up! We'll see you on pay-per-view, fans!
