Go Time: 8/8/07

Buffalo, NY

("Neocon" opening.)

David: MECCA is here in Buffalo, New York, as we get ready for another edition of Go Time! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and tonight we will see Delirious go for a title shot when he takes on the leader of the House of Lords, Nykk!

Dick: And if he's successful, the main event will be Ronin Fox vs. Delirious for the MECCA Championship, and if not, in the main event it will be an epic tag team encounter as Alan Mayse and Eddie Crowe take on the number one contenders to the tag titles, Bryan Danielson and Kevin Stone.

David: We'll also have ladies tag team action as Daizee Haze teams with Sara Del Rey to take on Lisa Letty and Shadow of the House of Lords.

("Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)

David: Delirious certainly looks ready for a big opportunity tonight, but he only gets that opportunity if he can retain his Contender Star spot against Nykk.

Dick: This match will certainly wear him down for Fox should he win, which seems to be sort of a traditional plan for Fox when faced with challengers on Go Time.

("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)

David: The Alpha Wolf, the head of the House of Lords is opening up the show this week, and his plan for this match is to regain a spot on the Contender Star so that he can better control who challenges for Fox's belt.

Dick: He's doing anything he can to hold onto his power now that Katie Piehl is back.

(FINISH: Nykk goes for the Swinging Cedarleaf on Delirious, but he manages to take Nykk over into a pinning predicament for a two count. Nykk takes Delirious down with a leg lariat and then whips him into the corner. He hits a charging European uppercut, taking Delirious off his feet and then bounces off the ropes for the running knee. Delirious gets up and hits a step up enzugiri on Nykk, sending him into the corner. Delirious hits the Panic Attack and then goes to the top rope and hits Shadows Over Hell. Before he can cover, Ronin Fox comes to ringside and gets on the apron. Delirious comes over to him, which allows Nykk to slide out of the ring. He grabs a chair and charges Delirious with it, but Delirious moves. Fox drops to the floor to get out of the way and Nykk hits the top rope. The chair bounces back into his face, and Delirious rolls Nykk up for a close two count. He then charges Nykk and kicks him right in the face. He puts him in a cobra clutch and prepares for a backbreaker, but Nykk slips behind him and goes for the Trinity. He gets the back suplex, but Delirious lands on his feet after a German attempt. He picks Nykk up and gives him the Chemical Imbalance #2, getting the three count.)

Winner: Delirious

David: Delirious has upset Nykk after a grueling match for both men!

Dick: We know our main event now, and Delirious has his first shot at the World Title!

(Fox gets in the ring and grabs the chair, but Delirious gets out of dodge.)

David: Fox might not even make it to Summertime Showdown to face Alan. Our main event on August 25 could be Delirious vs. Mayse! When we come back, we'll see the ladies of MECCA in action.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with the Pyro Twins.)

Bill: Jay, Dusty, you're faced with perhaps your toughest challenge to date at Summertime Showdown when you defend the tag titles against Kevin Stone and Bryan Danielson...

Jay: Let me cut you off right there, Bill. Out toughest challenge or not, it doesn't matter, because we're never letting go of these damn belts again. You see, Katie Piehl, for one year we followed your rules and weren't able to get a title shot against the UK Wrecking Crew no matter what you did. A whole year of our lives. But one night under the regime of Nykk and we were tag team champs again. And you think you can scare us by sending Stone and Danielson against us?

Dusty: You said last week, Dragon, that you would breathe our fire right back at us. You can't do that to a Pyro Twin. We can singe the hair off your head just by looking at you wrong, and you don't want to give us any cause to do more than that. As for Kevin Stone, it seems like we've always been on opposite sides of the fence. Well, Summertime Showdown is just another chapter. We're going to do what we want...

(Eddie Crowe enters.)

Eddie: Hold on there, Dusty. The fact of the matter is, I know firsthand what you two are capable of, and if you two are still champions after August 25, you can rest assured that Alan and I will be right back in your faces and challenging for those belts...

Jay: You're serious, Eddie? According to Fox, Alan is going to come around and join up with us.

Eddie: If you believe that for a second, you're dumber than Dusty looks. You know, I can't believe I ever thought you two cared about me. You just wanted me for backup, didn't you? The EDJ, that's what you wanted. Someone to help you stay dominant in the tag team scene. Well, you two have walked on me all my life, and I'm sick and tired of it.

(He slaps Jay across the face, and then slugs it out with Dusty. Eddie manages to send Dusty into some production crates, but Jay attacks him from behind. He and Dusty lift Eddie and simply drop him on the floor. They take the production crate and then slam it down onto Eddie's ribs before officials arrive to separate them.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Serve the Shame" hits and Lisa Letty and Shadow make their way to the ring.)

David: We're back, and I can't believe what we just saw before the break. Eddie Crowe was decimated backstage by the Pyro Twins, his own brother and former best friend.

Dick: Well, Eddie did throw the first strike in that one, but he has been taking the Pyro Twins joining up with the House of Lords quite hard. And we're told that this puts him in jeopardy for his tag match with Alan against Stone and Danielson later.

("Sensi" hits and Daizee Haze and Sara Del Rey make their way to the ring.)

David: We're set for ladies' action, as Daizee prepares to take on Lisa for the Ladies' Title at Summertime Showdown, and Del Rey and Shadow have been having issues of their own as of late.

Dick: These four ladies were just itching for a fight last week, and they've got it right here in Buffalo.

(FINISH: Daizee gives Shadow the Mind Trip and covers, but Lisa breaks it up. She gives Daizee a neckbreaker and then headbutts Del Rey in the midsection when she charges in. She whips Del Rey into the ropes and puts her head down, so Del Rey hooks her and lifts her into the Royal Butterfly. The ref tells her neither one of them is legal, so Del Rey heaves Lisa over the top rope with a powerslam and she lands on a heap on the floor. Shadow charges Del Rey but gets met with a big boot to the chest that sends her down. Daizee gets her in an Oklahoma Roll and gets the three count.)

Winners: Daizee Haze and Sara Del Rey

David: Del Rey and the Haze are victorious, and it's easy to see that Daizee is definitely ready for Summertime Showdown and...

(Outside the ring, Lisa is holding her knee and crying for medical attention as Shadow attends to her. Nykk and Ronin Fox come to ringside to check on her, and Lisa cries into Nykk's shoulder. Nykk moves to go to the back, but Lisa grabs his shirt and pleads for him to stay with her. Nykk sends Fox to the back to get the EMTs, as Nikki Alvarado comes out of the ring to see what's going on.)

David: It looks like we have a situation here. It looks as if Lisa Letty landed very badly on her knee after that throw to the outside... as much as we don't like the House of Lords, you hate to see something like this happen, especially to someone as talented as Lisa Letty.

(The EMTs come out with a stretcher, and now even Daizee and Sara look concerned and come over to check on her. Shadow shoves Sara back and starts yelling at her, asking her if this is what she wanted and that Lisa could be crippled.)

Dick: Even her opponents look worried. I couldn't see how Lisa hit from this vantage point, but you have to believe that her knee could have smashed against the floor or she could have landed on her feet and had it buckle under her.

David: Well, while Lisa gets taken care of, Bill Bicknell is standing by with the Surgeons, who have a message for the Killer Kanines.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with the Surgeons and Medea Knight.)

Bill: Medea Knight, once again last week you and the Surgeons got into it with the Killer Kanines, and ended the night beating them senseless. Don't you think this has gone far enough?

Medea: They're the ones who tried to put me through a table earlier in the night, Bill. Ask them if they think it's going too far. The bottom line is the Killer Kanines just couldn't cut it, and so I was forced to cut my losses and lead a new team to greatness. Matt Stryker, John Walters, these two have been overlooked for months. But now we've got MECCA's attention, and on that note, I want to bring in the executor of MECCA, Katie Piehl.

(Katie Piehl enters.)

Medea: Ms. Piehl, for the past month, these two men have been working toward beating the Killer Kanines, but have not been successful yet. And I know you have the power to book Summertime Showdown, so I want you to declare right now in front of the wrestling world, that there will be a rematch for the Surgeons against the Killer Kanines on August 25.

Katie: Well, you certainly do have a lot to prove, and I know that the Kanines are just itching to get their hands on your guys again and if you're not careful, you too Medea. So yes, I will make that match. The Killer Kanines will take on the Surgeons at Summertime Showdown, and all I have to say is you had better be ready, because now that it's made, there's no weaseling out of it.

(Katie leaves, and the Surgeons look pleased.)

Bill: There you have it, fans. The Killer Kanines take on the Surgeons in just a few weeks in Dayton. We'll be right back with more MECCA action.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson and Kevin Stone make their way to the ring.)

David: We're back on Go Time, and we've received word that Lisa Letty has been taken to the hospital.

Dick: We have a match between two top contending teams for the tag titles, but after the attack on Eddie Crowe earlier, we don't know if he'll even be able to compete out here.

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring by himself.)

David: This isn't a good sign, as singles wrestlers who team always enter together to cut down on time, and Alan's out here by himself. He's got a title shot coming up at Summertime Showdown, and it's not going to do him any favors to get beaten down by Stone and Danielson beforehand.

Dick: And I doubt he's going to ask the House of Lords for help, even if it means turning this into a handicap match.

(Alan gets a mic.)

Alan: Listen guys, since my partner tonight just had to go and confront the Pyro Twins, he's not ready to compete yet. But since we're out here, I'm not going to deprive the fans of seeing any of us in action. I'll take on both of you by myself, because I am a team player, and the fans of MECCA deserve a great match. So let's do this!

(Alan puts down the mic as Joey Sprinklers and Huh come out onto the stage, and Joey has a mic.)

Joey: Wait a minute, wait a minute! Youse guys aren't going to hog all the glory tonight. Last week, Alan, we had to take on you and Eddie after preparin' for a completely different team. And we lost because of it! But tonight, we turn the tables, because we have Nykk's permission to come out here and turn this into a Triangle Tag Match. So ya better get ready, cause we're comin' down to break some knees!

David: This will give Alan a little bit of a respite since he won't have to be in the ring the whole time, but I can't imagine that his chances are good without a partner.

(FINISH: As Alan is getting worked over, Eddie makes his way to ringside, holding his ribs. He gets on the apron, and Alan manages to tag him in. Eddie takes down Huh and Joey with elbows and clotheslines, and gives Danielson a backdrop. He gives Huh a charging dropkick in the corner and then hits the running brainbuster. He covers, but Stone comes in and breaks it up. He picks Eddie up into a powerslam position and just drops Eddie's ribs across his shoulders, but Alan gives him a running dropkick that sends Stone to the outside. Danielson comes in and gives Joey a European uppercut and then a Regalplex. He charges Alan, but gets backdropped to the outside. Alan then gives Huh an exploder suplex and goes to the ring apron. Eddie goes for the Backslide Bomb on Joey, but Huh kicks him in the ribs. They whip him into Alan, who sails off the apron and takes out Stone and Danielson. Huh headbutts Eddie in the midsection and Joey gives him Da Sprinklanator. Huh goes to the top and hits a moonsault on Eddie's ribs, covering for the three count.)

Winners: Huh and Joey Sprinklers

David: Huh and Joey actually win a match thanks to Eddie already being hurt, and this has to be a bit of a momentum killer for both Alan and the team of Danielson and Stone.

Dick: The lackeys managed to pull it off, but I wouldn't stick around, you two.

(Alan chases Huh and Joey out of the ring and then helps Eddie.)

(Backstage, the Briscoes are in the locker room, watching the monitor.)

Mark: Hey Jay, did you see that? Those dudes can barely work on the same page. This is gonna be easier than we thought.

Jay: Hey, the Briscoes are the real deal, people. We're here in MECCA for one reason and that's to win gold. Just like we've conquered the rest of the wrestling world, we're here to dominate. Those three teams? Easy pickin's. Surgeons? Don't make me laugh. Killer Kanines? You boys are tough, but you're still going down. Pyro Twins? All I have to say is stay tuned, fellas.

Mark: It's time for every team in MECCA to man up!

Jay: That's right, bitches. Man up!

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Nykk is walking down the hallway and Trent Acid is following him, talking.)

Acid: ...so I just want you to know that you better tell Fox that I'm coming after his belt, because I feel like I've been overlooked since Johnny disappeared, and I've been on the Contender Star since then, I think I deserve it, you know...

Nykk: Are you ever going to shut up? Listen, my girlfriend is at the hospital right now and I can't even be with her because I have to stay here and help keep this show together. If I give you an opportunity at a title shot, will you go away?

Acid: Of course.

Nykk: Fine. Next week, I'm making a match with you and Kevin Stone. If you knock him off the Contender Star, you'll get a chance at a title opportunity. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to check on Lisa.

(Nykk takes out a cell phone and ducks into the locker room. Acid smirks before walking off in the opposite direction.)

(In the arena, "Ballroom Blitz" hits and Tristan Lee makes his way to the ring.)

David: The Toughman Title is on the line right now on Go Time as we get a little preview of the big eight-man tag at Summertime Showdown where the House of Lords will take on the UK Wrecking Crew.

Dick: This is young Tristan's first opportunity at a title here in MECCA, and he looks like he's ready to make the most of it.

("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)

David: Cynric won the Toughman Title two weeks ago from Low Ki, who was apparently so ashamed at losing two matches straight to House of Lords members that he has left the company. But Cynric is definitely as deserving a champion as any, one of the toughest men you will find out there.

Dick: And now the House of Lords has control of all the titles in MECCA, and I hate to say it, but even with Katie Piehl gaining booking power of Summertime Showdown, they are still winning this struggle.

(FINISH: Lee vaults off the second turnbuckle for a flying cross body and gets a two count on Cynric. Cynric ducks a clothesline and spins Lee around, kicking him. He goes for the Shock Cannon, but Lee knees him in the face. He goes for the Cradle Piledriver on Cynric, but Cynric catches him in the head with a kick on the way up. Lee drops him, and Cynric quickly gets to his feet, giving Lee a roundhouse kick right to the face as he gets up. Lee goes limp, and the ref checks on him, and then calls for the bell.)

Winner: Cynric

David: Cynric just knocked out Lee, and of course Toughman Title matches can be won by knockout, so Cynric retains the title here on Go Time.

Dick: Impressive victory by Cynric, who could be champion for a long time to come at this rate.

(The ref tries to help Lee regain consciousness, but Cynric shoves him away. He starts stomping on Lee, and then lifts him for the Shock Cannon, hitting the move this time. However, Austin Lee, Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher hit the ring, and Cynric bails out. The UKWC check on Tristan, and Lee gets a mic as Cynric gets the belt and heads up the ramp.)

Austin: Cynric, if that's how it's going to be, kicking a man while he's down, just make sure you make it to Dayton okay, because I don't think you've got enough in you to put down all four of us! Tristan, my brother, it's all right that you lost tonight. You gave it your best shot, but you'll have other title matches in the future I'm sure. Right now we've got to concentrate on the eight-man tag at Summertime Showdown, because I think that after August 25, the House of Lords is going to be out four members! I think that the UK Wrecking Crew will take their place as the top faction in MECCA!

("Problems" plays as he helps Tristan to his feet and raises his arm.)

David: What a war that will be at Summertime Showdown, but we have World Title action coming your way. Ronin Fox will defend against Delirious next!

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Matt Sydal.)

Bill: In just a few moments, we will see Ronin Fox defend the World Title against Delirious, but right now I'm here with a man who had a title shot a few weeks back, Matt Sydal. Matt, you came up short in that match, but you had Fox going a few times for sure.

Sydal: Bill, I was so close to that title I could taste it. And good luck Delirious, but if you win that belt tonight, I'm going to be right there seeking another title shot. You know, earlier on I heard Trent Acid was campaigning for a shot from Nykk, and that Nykk is going to give him an opportunity to earn a shot. But I say that's not going to happen before I get my rematch. Don't forget, Acid, I beat you to get on the Contender Star in the first place. I'm not done being in the World Title picture yet. Not by a long shot.

(In the arena, "Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)

David: It's now time for the main event, and Delirious won this opportunity at the top of the show when he pinned Nykk, thereby keeping his spot on the Contender Star, and he looks well rested and ready to go.

Dick: Delirious is a guy that can surprise you, and all I have to say to Fox is you better expect the unexpected tonight.

("Did My Time" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)

David: We understand that Nykk is on his way to the hospital to be with Lisa Letty as we speak. We also understand that after what happened earlier, the UK Wrecking Crew are patrolling the backstage area and making sure no other House of Lords members come out here. Fox is all alone tonight.

Dick: He was all alone at Liberty or Death, and he still managed to get the victory over the then-Toughman Champion Low Ki, so Fox has proven himself to be a competent champion before. I'm sure he feels his skill is more than enough to sustain him tonight.

Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Go Time main event, and it is for the MECCA World Championship! Introducing first, the challenger... from the Edge of Sanity, and weighing in at 186 lbs... Deliriouuuuuus! His opponent... from Westminster, Colorado, and weighing in at 175 lbs... he is the current reigning and defending MECCA World Heavyweight Champion... Roniiiiiin Foooooox!

(FINISH: Fox goes for Around the World in 18 Seconds on Delirious, but Delirious moves out of the way of the last clothesline and hits the Neverending Story clotheslines on Fox. After about forty, he returns to the center of the ring and charges. Fox gets a foot up and charges out with a clothesline of his own. Delirious ducks and dropkicks Fox from behind. Fox goes into the corner in a sitting position, and Delirious hits the Panic Attack. He goes to the top rope and hits Shadows Over Hell, turning Fox over for a two count. He goes for the Chemical Imbalance #2, but Fox somersaults out of it. He bounces off the ropes, but Delirious hits him with BAM! He picks Fox up and whips him into the ropes, but Fox counters with an armwringer and pulls Delirious in, hitting the Tail End out of nowhere. He covers and gets the three count.)

Winner: Ronin Fox

David: Just like that, Ronin Fox has ended this match and retains the World Title.

Dick: Delirious put up a hell of an effort, and I wouldn't be surprised if he followed in the footsteps of Matt Sydal and tried to seek another shot at the champ.

David: It's now confirmed that it will be Ronin Fox vs. Alan Mayse at Summertime Showdown, so be sure to join us on pay-per-view as two old rivals meet once more. We'll see you next week, fans!
