("Neocon" opening.)
David: We are here once again in Richmond, Virginia, as MECCA presents Go Time! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and we have a huge title match for the main event tonight.
Dick: Low Ki was unsuccessful in taking the World Title from Ronin Fox at Liberty or Death, but let's not forget that he is the Toughman Champion, and he'll be defending that title right here tonight as he faces Cynric in a rematch from Punked Out!
David: And she was promised a shot a few weeks ago, and now she finally receives it. Shadow takes on Lisa Letty for the Ladies' Title right here tonight.
Dick: And with Katie Piehl's side winning the tag team series at Liberty or Death, we will hear some of her matches for Summertime Showdown on August 25.
("Lava" hits and the Surgeons make their way to the ring, along with Medea Knight.)
David: Another big story coming out of Liberty or Death is that Medea Knight turned on Anubis during his match with John Walters, and has now taken up the managerial duties of the Surgeons.
Dick: She basically said that the Kanines were worthless to her now that they weren't champs anymore, and it was time to work her magic and lead a new team to the top.
("Cool" hits and the Human Tornado and the Wild Wolf make their way to the ring.)
David: Anubis wanted to be here at the side of his partner tonight, but unfortunately injuries from that post match attack prevent that. However, the Wild Wolf has picked the Human Tornado as his replacement for this evening.
Dick: I'm not so sure it's wise to go to war with the Surgeons without your regular partner. These guys have shown that they'll do whatever it takes to ensure victory.
(FINISH: Wolf hits a powerslam on Stryker and covers, but Walters breaks it up. The ref tries to get him out of the ring as Wolf puts Stryker on his shoulders. Tornado springboards to the top for a dropkick, but Medea comes in and low blows the Wild Wolf, causing him to drop Stryker and Tornado misses the kick. Stryker pushes Wolf through the ropes and tags Walters. They give him the Human Error and Walters covers for the three count.)
Winners: The Surgeons
David: The Surgeons attain victory thanks to the help of their new manager, and the sky's the limit for them now, I guess.
Dick: They'll still have to contend with the Killer Kanines, though, once Anubis gets healthy.
(Backstage, Katie Piehl is in her office.)
Katie: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm proud to announce that at Liberty or Death, my teams were victorious in the tag team series. Although the Pyro Twins are still the tag champs and beat Eddie and Alan, Stone and Danielson and the UK Wrecking Crew came through with victories, and that means the power to determine the card for Summertime Showdown rests in my hands. And I'm not wasting any time with the House of Lords' matches. I figure if they're all busy, they won't be too concerned about their friends' matches. Of course, the main event will be Ronin Fox defending the World Title against Alan Mayse, and I definitely wouldn't change that one. And due to Daizee Haze's victory in the Lisa Letty Invitational, she will now go on to face the winner of tonight's Ladies' Title match. But here's where the rest of our pals in the House of Lords come in. There's been a question looming for months about who is the best faction in MECCA. Is it the UK Wrecking Crew, or the House of Lords? We'll find out on August 25 as Austin Lee, Tristan Lee, Jack Fletcher and Andy Nathans take on Nykk, Cynric, Huh and Joey Sprinklers in an eight-man tag. And there's more. My other team that won at Liberty or Death, Bryan Danielson and Kevin Stone, will get their shot at glory as well, because they'll be going for the MECCA Tag Team Titles against the Pyro Twins. Thank you for joining us tonight on Go Time, fans, and we'll be back with more great action.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)
David: It's time to unleash the crazy here on Go Time as Delirious heads toward the ring!
Dick: He's got a big match tonight, as he will go for a spot on the Contender Star right now.
("Burning Times" hits and Jay Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: It's in the House of Lords' best interests to keep as many members as possible on the Contender Star, because they know they won't be going after Ronin Fox's title.
Dick: It was a hard fought battle at Liberty or Death, but Jay and Dusty managed to defeat the team of Eddie Crowe and Alan Mayse, so Jay may still be worn down by that one. This could be Delirious's best shot.
(FINISH: Delirious hits the Panic Attack, and then goes up for Shadows Over Hell. Jay moves out of the way and floors Delirious with an STO. He picks him up and lifts him for the Overhaul, but Delirious licks Jay's forehead, causing him to let go. Delirious lands behind him and grabs the arms, going for the Chemical Imbalance #2. Jay flips out of it and goes for a spinning heel kick, but Delirious catches his foot and takes Jay down, somersaulting into a roll up for the three count.)
Winner: Delirious
David: Delirious has upset one half of the Pyro Twins, and now the masked man is eligible for a title shot!
Dick: Nykk and Ronin Fox won't be happy about this one.
(Delirious exits the ring to celebrate before Jay can get back in and attack him.)
(Backstage, Nykk and Fox are watching on a monitor.)
Nykk: Delirious... one half of our tag team champions was beaten by Delirious!?
Fox: There's no way I'm giving him a title shot. What the hell has he ever done?
Nykk: Absolutely nothing. And this comes after Katie throws her weight around, forcing Jay and Dusty to wrestle Danielson and Stone, and me and your brother have to team with those nitwits of ours against the entire UK Wrecking Crew at Summertime Showdown? How ridiculous!
Fox: We need to do something.
Nykk: We can handle this. And it starts tonight with Danielson and Stone. Katie forgets that I can book matches too. This isn't like when MECCA first started. Tonight, Danielson and Stone will step into the ring with me and you... in addition to Huh and Joey. It'll be a Triangle Tag Match.
Fox: Is that a good idea? You know how they are.
Nykk: Let me put it this way. While Danielson and Stone are busy destroying the idiots, we come in from behind and do a number on them for Jay and Dusty.
Fox: Sounds good, but what if they pick tonight to suddenly get competent? Those two couldn't execute a plan if they had a knife and a gun.
Nykk: That's the beauty of it. We don't tell them the plan. If they behave normally, we're all set.
Fox: I love it! Come on, let's go prepare.
(They leave.)
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Gangsta Bitch" hits and Shadow makes her way to the ring.)
David: Tonight is the night for Shadow, the newest member of the House of Lords. She was promised this title shot by the Ladies' Champion herself, and apparently they appreciated her helping Lisa out so much in that match that saw Gail Kim leave MECCA, she was made an honorary member.
Dick: Shadow is always eager for title shots, and this is her first one since the MECCA Challenge III.
("Serve the Shame" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring.)
David: At Liberty or Death, it was the Lisa Letty Invitational Battle Royale that was won by Daizee Haze, who now gets a shot at the winner of this match at Summertime Showdown, but Lisa had better be concentrating on her new stable mate.
Dick: These two have matched up many times in the past, with varying results. They're also the only two women in MECCA history to be multiple time champs.
(FINISH: Shadow goes to the second turnbuckle, and Lisa climbs up with her. Shadow shoves her off, and Lisa rolls backwards. Shadow hits a sunset flip from the second rope, but Lisa rolls out at two. She goes for the Letty Stretch, but Shadow lays back, pinning Lisa down but only getting a two count. They get to their feet and Shadow moves out of Lisa's way, and she hits the turnbuckles. Shadow charges, but Lisa gets a boot up and hits a second rope bulldog, covering for a two count. She goes for the Clockstopper, but Shadow escapes behind Lisa and hits the Skullbuster. She goes for the Dragon Sleeper, but Lisa turns over and gets a double leg takedown. She floats over into a jackknife pin, getting the three count.)
Winner: Lisa Letty
David: Some great counter wrestling by both ladies, but it was the Ladies' Champion who was able to outmaneuver the thicker Shadow and retain her title.
Dick: You have to think Shadow won't be getting another opportunity like this. I don't think Nykk wants his allies fighting amongst themselves, at least not blatantly in matches.
(Shadow pounds the mat in frustration, but Lisa helps her to her feet. She tells her that it's the fans they do this for, and they should show their appreciation. She raises Shadow's arm, and both ladies flip off the crowd.)
David: How tasteless by Shadow and the Ladies' Champion. Maybe Daizee Haze can take the belt on August 25, and we won't have to see this kind of thing again. Speaking of the Haze, right now she's standing by with Bill Bicknell.)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with Daizee Haze.)
Bill: Daizee, you just saw it. Lisa Letty retained her title, which means you will face her at Summertime Showdown. But since she and Shadow seem to be on the same page, how are you going to counter the fact that she'll surely be watching very closely?
Daizee: The House of Lord is always watching closely, so this isn't anything new. And this is my first shot at the Ladies' Title in a long time, and I plan on making the most of it. Lisa, you dug your own grave when you signed that battle royale. Because I smoked every lady in it, and at Summertime Showdown I'm going to smoke you right to the dome. And I don't even know what to think about the House of Lords. Those guys are kind of like a bad stash. All of the lows and none of the highs. I've worked my way up and down the roads...
(Lisa Letty and Shadow enter.)
Lisa: Whoa, whoa... we just get back from a hard fought match, and I hear you saying you're going to smoke me to the dome? Need I remind you, Daizee, that this is a family show. You can't make that kind of talk, girl. We have a network to answer to, censors to answer to, and if you don't tone down your lifestyle, you're the one who's going to end up on a bad trip. Come Summertime Showdown, I'll prove once and for all that when you, the one woman who beat out all the others, can't defeat me, I take my place as the greatest Ladies' Champion in MECCA history. Inhale that.
(Lisa simulates puffing a joint before she and Shadow leave.)
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Alan Mayse.)
Bill: Now I've got Alan Mayse, the number one contender to the MECCA Championship, which you earned by winning the Eight-Man Throwdown at Punked Out. That got you in the main event of Summertime Showdown on August 25 against a man you know very well, Ronin Fox.
Alan: Fox and I, you could say we're just a bit familiar with each other. I've known him since grade school, and our paths have crossed several times inside that ring. I also seem to remember him never beating me when it counted. When titles are on the line, I have always come out on top. Fox, you fulfilled a goal when you captured that title. Unfortunately, you did it at the expense of the fans of MECCA, and at the expense of your self-respect, because there's no way you could have done it otherwise. Had I had allies backing me up like that, I would have been champion by now too. But I'm patient, and I eagerly await my destiny, which is to be MECCA World Champion. And that day of destiny is August 25, Summertime Showdown. That title goes home with me, where it should have gone a long time ago. And when that title is mine, I swear I'm going to create a ripple effect, and you will see the downfall of the House of Lords.
(In the arena, "Destroy" hits and Nykk and Ronin Fox make their way to the ring, keeping Joey Sprinklers and Huh separated, since they look like they want to strangle each other.)
David: This isn't even going to be a semblance of fair play. The House of Lords is all coming out together, but look at Joey and Huh. What are they fighting about this time?
Dick: I'm sure they've forgotten by now why they didn't like each other in the first place.
("The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson and Kevin Stone make their way to the ring.)
David: Stone and Danielson get their tag title shot at Summertime Showdown, and this is Nykk's attempt to slow them down for the Pyro Twins and certainly a loss here would kill their momentum.
Dick: This is supposed to be a Triangle Tag Match, but you know that Joey and Huh are going to do whatever Nykk tells them to do in this one.
(FINISH: The numbers overpower Stone and Danielson, and as Huh and Joey work over Kevin, Nykk tells Fox to go up for a guillotine legdrop. When Fox reaches the top rope, Nykk picks up Danielson for a back suplex, but he escapes and dropkicks Nykk shoulder first into the corner, crotching Fox in the process. Danielson goes to the apron and ties Nykk and Fox's hands and legs together around the ring post so they can't escape. Joey attacks from behind and whips Danielson into the ropes as Stone clotheslines Huh. Danielson goes for a sunset flip, but Joey won't go down. Stone bounces off the ropes and gives him a big boot that takes him down and out of the ring. They then pick Huh up and give him the elevated Stone Cutter, and Stone covers for the three count.)
Winners: Bryan Danielson and Kevin Stone
David: The crafty American Dragon just found a unique way to neutralize Nykk and Fox, and he and Stone pick up another win!
Dick: The House of Lords was just made to look like idiots. They had a four-on-two advantage, and Stone and Danielson still came out on top.
(Nykk and Fox finally get themselves untied, but they're too late. Stone and Danielson have left the ring and taunt the House of Lords.)
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Shadow is walking down the hallway when she comes across Sara Del Rey.)
Shadow: Yes?
Del Rey: I just want to tell you, Shadow, since you and Lisa seem to be good friends again, that if she gets past Daizee at Summertime Showdown, I want the next shot at the belt.
Shadow: And who are you again? Oh, that's right, first SHIMMER Champion Sara Del Rey. You think that's going to count for anything with the House of Lords? We don't need our title belt associated with someone from some second-rate promotion...
(Del Rey clocks Shadow with a forearm, knocking her down.)
Del Rey: I didn't say I wanted you running your mouth to me! But be sure to tell Lisa what I said. I'm already the SHIMMER Champion, and I'm going to take over this promotion's ladies' division as well. Sooner or later.
(Del Rey walks away as Shadow whines on the floor about cheap shots.)
(A hype video airs, showing the backwoods of Delaware. It also shows some rundown hick town, along with a voiceover.)
Voice: We comin' from the backwoods, from the hick towns, all the way here to MECCA. And ain't nobody gonna stop us from staking our claim in this company, 'cause we're the best tag team in the world. It's gonna be time for all you MECCA boys...
(A rebel flag is shown.)
Voice: To MAN UP!
(In the arena, "Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)
David: It's time for our main event, and it will be a rematch from Punked Out as Cynric tries once again to take the Toughman Title.
Dick: This is the only title the House of Lords does not have in its possession, and Cynric seems to be designated as the man to take it.
("Fighter's Passion" hits and Low Ki makes his way to the ring.)
David: Low Ki was unsuccessful against Ronin Fox at Liberty or Death, but he has his own title to worry about, and Cynric is no pushover.
Dick: It's probably a smart move for Cynric to request this match tonight, as I'm sure Ki is still worn down from his battle with Fox. We'll see if it's enough.
(FINISH: Cynric goes up top for a front kick, but Ki knocks him out of midair with a rolling koppo kick. He goes for a shining wizard, but Cynric ducks. Ki tries to kick back, but Cynric ducks again and sweeps the legs. Ki gets to his feet and is met with a roundhouse kick that staggers him. Cynric moves in, but gets kicked in the leg, and then in the side of the face. They exchange kicks and punches, and Ki eventually gets the better of Cynric and takes him down. Cynric sweeps Ki again, and Ki rolls backward, but Cynric swings himself around and kicks him right on the top of the head. Ki staggers to one knee, and Cynric hits the Lift Off. He covers and gets the three count.)
Winner: Cynric
David: Cynric has defeated Low Ki, and now the House of Lords has every title in MECCA!
Dick: Even with Katie Piehl booking Summertime Showdown, the House of Lords has shown that they are the dominant force, and the reintroduction of Katie may have been too late. They have the power now.
(Cynric celebrates with the belt as the House of Lords comes out to congratulate him.)
David: It's going to be party time for the House of Lords, as they have accomplished what they set out to do. How will this effect the morale of the rest of MECCA? We'll have to find out next week, fans, because we're out of time!
