Rundown Results:
Chandler/Alexander b. Del Rey/Schweickart
Low Ki b. Trent Acid
Daizee Haze b. Magenta, Mercedes Martinez
Nykk/Huh b. Stone/Delirious
("Neocon" opening.)
David: We're here in Indianapolis, Indiana, and it's time for MECCA to present Go Time right here on FSN! I'm David Mills, alongside Dick Broccoli, and we have an excellent night of action for you tonight. It will be the UK Wrecking Crew taking on the House of Lords, and this time it will be a fair match, as Nathans, Fletcher and Tristan Lee take on Huh, Joey Sprinklers and Dusty Schneble.
Dick: And if you're wondering where Jay Crowe is, tonight he'll be going up against Matt Sydal in singles action.
David: And we've gotten word that the new executor of MECCA, Katie Piehl, has an announcement concerning Liberty or Death and next month's Summertime Showdown.
("TKO" hits and Zoe Alexander makes her way to the ring.)
David: We're kicking things off in the ladies' division, and of course last week, we saw Lisa Letty and Shadow screw Gail Kim out of her spot here in MECCA as Lisa retained the Ladies' Title, but Gail's absence does open up a chance for someone else to move up the card.
Dick: Zoe could certainly use a win tonight, and she'll be looking to move up and perhaps challenge for the Ladies' Title once again very soon.
("Sensi" hits and Daizee Haze makes her way to the ring.)
David: The Haze has been on a bit of a win streak recently, and as recently as this past week on Rundown, she scored a victory in a Triangle Match against Magenta and Mercedes Martinez.
Dick: Daizee could definitely be looking to challenge for the Ladies' Title soon, and amassing these victories will only help her cause.
(FINISH: Zoe goes for a death valley driver, but Daizee fights her way out of it. She goes for the heart punch, but Zoe ducks and kicks Lisa. She gives her a powerbomb and covers for a two count. She signals for the Zoetrope, and lifts Daizee, but she lands on her feet and takes Zoe over with an Okana Roll. Zoe kicks out, but gets a Yakuza Kick from Daizee, which staggers her. Daizee gives her the heart punch, and follows with the Mind Trip, covering for the three count.)
Winner: Daizee Haze
David: Daizee wins another one, and she would certainly make a great Ladies' Champion if Lisa gives her an opportunity.
Dick: But since Katie Piehl's back now, Daizee may get that opportunity anyway. We'll have to wait and see how this ladies' situation plays out.
(Backstage, Nykk and Lisa Letty are in the catering area.)
Nykk: Katie was way out of line making that title match for Liberty or Death. We have to come up with something. I want to personally be out there when Fox goes against Low Ki.
Lisa: Yeah, ever since she came back last week I haven't heard the end of it. Now she's breathing down my neck to name a new challenger for my title after what happened with Gail last week.
Nykk: She'd better watch it, because I didn't go through all that trouble of taking the power in MECCA just to...
(Bryan Danielson and Kevin Stone enter.)
Nykk: Wait a minute, you two. What do you want?
Danielson: You know, Nykk, ever since you formed the House of Lords, the rest of the MECCA competitors have been given the shaft. But now that Katie Piehl is back, your days of running things are pretty much at an end.
Stone: I took care of Cynric last week, but in case you forgot, you were also out there at Punked Out, and had a hand in costing me that match. We want you and Fox in the ring, and we don't care when.
Nykk: First of all, Katie is a figurehead for the board of directors, nothing more. I'm still the one with the real power here in MECCA, so don't even think about demanding matches out of me. And anyway, there's no time on tonight's show for that match, and Fox already has a match at Liberty or Death. But if you two want to team, if you want a shot at the House of Lords, show up at Liberty or Death, and you can go against Huh and Joey Sprinklers in a tag team match.
Stone: I don't want Huh or Sprinklers, I'm done with those two...
Nykk: You're done when I say you're done. You got a shot at the World Title last month, and this is the gratitude I get? I'm... I...
(Nykk stops as Katie Piehl enters.)
Katie: What's this? Nykk, making the matches he wants to make? Two can play at that game, but I'm afraid I'm not playing anymore. I'm serious, Nykk. After the way you treated me a few months ago, I'm done playing the game. My sole goal as executor of MECCA is to eliminate the House of Lords from existence, and that's why Liberty or Death will play host to a tag team series. Three tag team matches between my guys and the House of Lords, and since I know you won't agree to this without something of a reward, here it is. If your guys win, you get to book the matches for Summertime Showdown next month. If my guys win, that task falls to me.
Nykk: Are you kidding me? No one beats my guys. I've assembled a group of MECCA's elite, and if you want to do it that way, we'll do it.
Katie: Well, we already have two tag matches ready. The Pyro Twins' tag title match against Alan Mayse and Eddie Crowe will be one, and Danielson and Stone vs. Huh and Joey can be another. And since you seem to think that you're a better group than the UK Wrecking Crew, why don't you and Cynric take on Nathans and Fletcher?
Nykk: That's fine with me. We're going to win this one three straight, and embarrass you in your first month back. Come on, Lisa.
(Nykk and Lisa leave.)
Katie: You guys think you can take Joey and Huh?
Danielson: That's a sure thing.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Burning Times" hits and Jay Crowe makes his way to the ring, along with Dusty Schneble.)
David: One half of the tag champs is set for action, but it looks like Jay has brought Dusty with him to ringside. Obviously he does not want Matt Sydal walking away with a victory over another Contender Star member.
Dick: The Pyro Twins have a big title defense coming up against Alan Mayse and Eddie Crowe at Liberty or Death, and we just found out that match will be part of a tag team series. Whoever wins two out of three matches gets to book the matches for Summertime Showdown, and the tag title match will be one of them.
("Clavicle" hits and Matt Sydal makes his way to the ring.)
David: Matt Sydal is certainly a rising star in wrestling, but I don't know if he's ever come up against anything like the Pyro Twins before.
Dick: He's definitely seeking a title shot after getting on the Contender Star, and this is a chance to solidify his spot.
(FINISH: Sydal goes for the Cyclorama, but Jay pushes him to the mat. He leaps off the top rope, but Sydal knocks him out of midair with a spinning heel kick. Dusty gets on the apron and distracts the ref, also throwing a chain to Jay. Sydal sees Dusty and dropkicks him off the apron. Jay tries to hit Sydal with the chain, but Sydal grabs his wrist. They struggle for a few moments and then Sydal knocks Jay's fist back into his own face, taking him down. Sydal goes to the top rope and hits the Shooting Sydal Press, covering for the three count.)
Winner: Matt Sydal
David: Sydal wins it after interference from Dusty Schneble backfires. He'd better quit worrying about his partner and concentrate on his own match coming up.
Dick: Quick thinking by Sydal, and what a match he should have against Ronin Fox or Low Ki if he's granted a title shot.
(Backstage, Katie Piehl is walking when Ronin Fox comes up to her.)
Fox: Katie, you and I need to talk right now.
Katie: If you're going to bitch about defending your title against Low Ki, forget it. That match will go ahead as planned, and it's a quality pay-per-view main event.
Fox: Fine, I'll wrestle Low Ki, but you need to keep him away from me until Saturday. But it's not fair that only my title is on the line! Ki has the Toughman Title, and I should get a shot at that belt too. Anyone can challenge for it...
Katie: Anyone can challenge for it, pending my approval. And you don't have it.
Fox: Look! I'm not asking you; I'm telling you, I'm the champ, I'm the top guy around here, and I will have my way!
Katie: No, because you see I've been granted all the authority I had before Lisa knocked me out back in May, except this time I'm zero tolerance! And since you seem to want to fight so bad, I'm going to give you a match to work off that energy. You're in luck, because you might not have to wrestle Low Ki on Saturday. Because tonight, you will be in the main event, and you will be defending that MECCA Championship, and it will be against the man who just beat one of your friends. Tonight it will be Ronin Fox vs. Matt Sydal!
Fox: No!
Katie: Yes.
(She exits, and Fox kicks a nearby vending machine.)
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Hold At All Costs" hits and Huh, Joey Sprinklers and Dusty Schneble make their way to the ring.)
David: We're back here on Go Time, and we just found out that in the main event tonight, Ronin Fox will defend the World Title against Matt Sydal, who was successful earlier against Jay Crowe!
Dick: It doesn't pay to get in Katie Piehl's face, as she claims she's now zero tolerance. And now Fox not only has to worry about Low Ki on Saturday night, but also Matt Sydal right here.
("Problems" hits and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring.)
David: Finally, the UK Wrecking Crew gets some chance for payback after the handicap match mugging they suffered back on the Fourth of July.
Dick: Six-man action coming right to you as the UKWC vs. House of Lords feud continues.
(FINISH: Huh hits a moonsault on Lee, but Fletcher comes in and breaks up the count. He gives Huh a northern lights throw, but then gets hit with a back suplex from Joey. He gets up and walks right into a top rope back elbow from Nathans, who gets the Rope Burn I from Dusty. However, Lee comes off the top rope and takes Dusty over with a hurricanrana. Huh hits Lee with a standing avalanche and then goes for a senton splash, but Lee moves. He takes Huh back over with a crucifix, getting the three count.)
Winners: The UK Wrecking Crew
David: The UKWC get the win, and this is going to be upsetting for the House of Lords!
Dick: They have not been having a good run since Katie Piehl came back, and now all of a sudden, the competitors of MECCA are starting to fight back. The next couple of pay-per-views could be very pivotal to the future of MECCA, depending on who wins the tag team series coming up at Liberty or Death.
(Backstage, Nykk, Cynric, Jay Crowe and Lisa Letty are watching the match on a monitor.)
Nykk: Unbelievable. Katie Piehl comes back and screws everything up. Why would she put Dusty in the match without Jay if it wasn't to screw with us?
Jay: If I had been out there, it would have been a much different result, I assure you.
Nykk: I do have some good news, though. We're getting a new member.
Cynric: Really?
Nykk: Yeah, come on in!
(Shadow enters.)
Nykk: Shadow is going to be the newest member of the House of Lords thanks to her services to MECCA that she gave us last week in ridding us once and for all of Gail Kim.
Shadow: Wait, Nykk. One of the conditions of me joining the House of Lords is that I get a title shot against Lisa. I don't care if we're on the same side now, Lisa, I want that belt that you have.
Lisa: That's fine, Shadow. As a matter of fact, we're going to meet next week right in that very ring, for the Ladies' Title. And since Katie Piehl is breathing down my neck for a new challenger, I came up with this idea. The Lisa Letty Invitational Battle Royale. Anyone looking for a shot at my belt can get in the ring at Liberty or Death, and the last woman standing will get a title shot at Summertime Showdown.
Nykk: I like that idea. Battle Royales are so easy to manipulate. But listen guys, we need to concentrate on later tonight. Katie made this match with Fox and Matt Sydal, and we need to be there to support him. Come on.
(The House of Lords exit.)
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Bryan Danielson and Kevin Stone.)
Bill: I'm here with the American Dragon Bryan Danielson and the MECCA Monster Kevin Stone, two men who have had enough of the House of Lords, and this Saturday at Liberty or Death you step into the ring with Nykk's two flunkies, Joey Sprinklers and Huh as part of the tag team series. Are you disappointed that you're not getting your hands on the upper echelon of the House of Lords, or are you going to use this as a warm up for later?
Danielson: What, not giving Huh and Sprinklers a chance, Bill? I don't blame you. You see, Kevin Stone needed someone else to watch his back and I just happen to have an issue with the House of Lords as well. Time that with Katie Piehl making her return and the phenomenal Austin Lee making his debut, and you have one hell of an opposition to Nykk and his gang. Huh and Joey are going to be dismantled at Liberty or Death, and we're just glad to do our part in the tag team series and hopefully Katie will be the one to book Summertime Showdown.
Stone: The House of Lords keeps growing by the week. At Punked Out, they added the Pyro Twins to their ranks. And just tonight, Shadow joined up. But Nykk, you don't seem to realize that it's not about numbers. It's about heart, determination, discipline and honor. I've had my problems with both of you over the course of my career, Huh and Joey, and this is as good a chance as any to take you both out in one fell swoop. And when we're done with you, the rest of the House of Lords better watch out, because the Dragon and the Monster are on the same side.
(In the arena, "On the Speedway" hits and Jamie Chan makes his way to the ring.)
David: Danielson and Stone are confident going into Liberty or Death this Saturday, and here comes a guy who could break out at any time, and I'm talking about Jamie Chan.
Dick: Chan is ready for action, and he's eager to prove himself here on Go Time.
("Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)
David: Delirious has been impressive lately, and even scored the fall for his team in Eight-Man Throwdown back at Punked Out, though he did not win the title shot at Summertime Showdown.
Dick: Delirious normally finds a partner and goes after the tag titles, but it looks like he's going to try his hand in singles competition tonight.
(FINISH: Delirious hits BAM! and then goes to the top rope. Chan moves out of the way of Shadows Over Hell and then whips Delirious into a corner. He hits a Saitama Kick, and tries a superkick, but Delirious catches his foot and pushes him back. Chan rolls to his feet and hits Delirious with an enzugiri as he moves in. He lifts Delirious and slams both his knees into the mat and segues into the Chan Lock. After a few moments, Delirious taps out.)
Winner: Jamie Chan
David: Jamie Chan comes out victorious with that very effective Chan Lock, and what a win over a mainstay here in MECCA, Delirious.
Dick: Expect big things from Chan in the future. The kid has all the tools to make it.
David: When we come back, it will be time for our main event. Just days before he faces off with Low Ki, Ronin Fox puts his World Title on the line against Matt Sydal and it's up next!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Nykk.)
Bill: Nykk, last week you lost your stranglehold over MECCA as Katie Piehl was named new executor of the promotion, and a further problem for you is that your old rival Austin Lee has arrived in MECCA. How do you plan to overcome these latest obstacles?
Nykk: You think I'm going to tell you? I've got a title match to take care of, so I'll only say this: Katie Piehl can go straight to hell, and she's shot herself in the foot with this tag team series idea. I have confidence in the Pyro Twins, and I know Cynric and I can take the UKWC, and Joey and Huh, well... we only have to win two matches, anyway. We're taking the booking power for Summertime Showdown, and as for Austin Lee, he's not going to be able to get involved on Saturday, because I've got something planned for him.
(Nykk leaves.)
Bill: I'm not sure what that means, but at this time, I also want to bring in Matt Stryker and John Walters. Guys...
(The Surgeons enter.)
Bill: What was behind that heinous attack after you lost to the Killer Kanines last week?
Walters: It was just a case of losing our tempers, Bill, and believe me when I tell you... that was the best thing that could have happened to us. We're more focused now than ever before. We've realized that with the current climate here in MECCA, we have to take what we want, and Killer Kanines, you were unfortunate enough to be the first ones to find that out.
Stryker: We may have lost, but we've gained so much more. It's time we...
(The Killer Kanines suddenly run in and attack the Surgeons. After some brief pummeling, Stryker and Walters hightail it and Wolf grabs the mic.)
Wolf: Surgeons! You may have new focus, and apparently a new attitude, but you picked the wrong team to take it out on. I still haven't been cleared to compete after last week, but the doctors didn't say anything about the big man here. How about at Liberty or Death, one of you step into the ring with Anubis? We don't care which one it is, because he's going to make you regret you ever stepped into the ring with us!
(They glare at the camera and leave.)
(In the arena, "Clavicle" hits and Matt Sydal makes his way to the ring.)
David: It's main event time, and what an opportunity Matt Sydal has. He never expected when he stepped foot in the building tonight that he would be getting a World Title match so soon.
Dick: But he also had a pretty physical match with Jay Crowe earlier on. Just how fresh is he really, and is he in good enough condition to counteract the unprepared Ronin Fox?
("Did My Time" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring, along with the entire House of Lords.)
David: Nykk isn't leaving anything to chance, as the entire House of Lords is down here to stand at ringside, and Sydal's chances don't seem so good anymore.
Dick: Fox has utilized House members in the past in his title matches, and it looks like tonight is no exception.
(Before Fox even steps in the ring, referee David Bowers tells the House of Lords to leave ringside. Nykk refuses, so Bowers confers with Jared Schrunk.)
Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, I have just been informed that the House of Lords has been ejected from ringside! And furthermore, under Katie Piehl's instructions, if they do not comply, Ronin Fox will be suspended for sixty days, and since MECCA rules state a champion must defend his title at least once in a calendar month, the World Title will be stripped and declared vacant!
(The House of Lords isn't happy, but have no choice but to leave.)
David: Fox didn't expect this, and now he has to face Sydal one on one!
Jared: The following contest is your Go Time main event, and it is for the MECCA World Championship! Introducing first, the challenger. From St. Louis, Missouri, and weighing in at 160 lbs... Matt Sydaaaal! His opponent... from Westminster, Colorado, and weighing in at 175 lbs... he is the current reigning and defending MECCA World Heavyweight Champion... Roniiiin Foooox!
(FINISH: Sydal reverses a whip into the corner and charges, but Fox gets a foot up. He charges Sydal, but he ducks down and Fox leapfrogs over him. Sydal hooks him for the Here It Is Driver, but Fox escapes and lands on his feet. He tries to kick back with a low blow, but Sydal hooks his foot and traps Fox with a backslide for a close two count. They get to their feet, and Sydal gives him a spinning heel kick, followed by the Here It Is Driver, but Fox manages to kick out at two. Sydal goes up for the Shooting Sydal Press, but Fox moves. However, Sydal manages to land on his feet and sweeps Fox's legs. He tries a standing moonsault, but Fox gets his knees up. He hooks Sydal's head and pulls himself to his feet, hitting the Tail End. He covers and gets the three count.)
Winner: Ronin Fox
David: A valiant effort by Sydal, but Fox was just too canny for him tonight and was able to get the victory.
Dick: Fox proved that he doesn't need these shortcuts in order to remain champion, but it has to be heartbreaking for Matt Sydal after such an eventful night.
(Fox celebrates, but Low Ki comes through the curtain and charges down to the ring. Fox gets ready for a fight and Ki tells him to bring it. Fox charges him as if to take him down, but rolls and escapes underneath the bottom rope and up the aisle.)
David: Fox just ran away from Low Ki once again, but he won't have that chance this Saturday at Liberty or Death, where these two will meet for the World Title. Thank you all for joining us, and we'll see you on pay-per-view!
