("Neocon" opening.)
David: MECCA's tour of the UK continues this week, as we are right here in Liverpool for more MECCA action. This is Go Time! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and tonight the qualifying begins for Eight-Man Throwdown at Punked Out!
Dick: Who will win through and get a guaranteed World Title shot at Summertime Showdown? We'll soon find out.
David: We'll also hear from the Pyro Twins, the House of Lords as well as much more action here on Go Time!
("Body Bomb" hits and the Surgeons make their way to the ring.)
David: We understand our first qualifying match for Eight-Man Throwdown will be a tag team "double or nothing" match. The winning team moves on to the eight-man, and the Surgeons would both love to have a title shot.
Dick: Especially since Walters lost his spot on the Contender Star last week. He has to do something if he wants to get back in contention.
("Problems" hits and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring.)
David: Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher proved to be a big hit in their home country last week in London, and it's no different here tonight.
Dick: Nathans and Fletcher were the first MECCA Tag Team Champions and have the distinction of having the longest reign with those titles, clocking in at six months to the day for their second reign. But they would love to branch out into singles competition and take that belt from Ronin Fox or whoever holds it when August rolls around.
(FINISH: The Surgeons hit the Human Error on Fletcher, but Nathans makes the save. Walters tries to throw him out of the ring, but he's the one who ends up thrown out. Stryker gives Nathans a release German suplex, but as he's taunting him, Fletcher rolls him up and bridges back for the three count as Nathans keeps Walters from intercepting by holding his foot.)
Winners: The UK Wrecking Crew
David: The UK Wrecking Crew win again, and this time they qualify for Eight-Man Throwdown on June 30!
Dick: Great victory for the UK boys here in their home country again.
(As the UK Wrecking Crew celebrate, "Destroy" hits and the House of Lords make their way down.)
David: What is this? For the second week in a row, Nykk has to take away from the celebration of the UK Wrecking Crew, who returned to their homeland after more than two years away and won consecutive matches. What does he have against England anyway?
Dick: Maybe he holds them responsible for the creation of Canada, who knows.
(They get in the ring and Nykk gets a mic.)
Nykk: First off, I said last week that your group doesn't hold a candle to the House of Lords, so why are you still here?
(Nathans and Fletcher approach Nykk, who steps behind Fox and Cynric.)
Nykk: Whoa, whoa... I don't know how good the school system is over here, but in case you can't count, we are six and you are two! Get to stepping!
(The UKWC exits the ring after shouting some challenges back at Nykk.)
Nykk: Now you can compare your so-called hometown boys, who abandoned you to come work for me in the United States to a bunch of real superstars right here. Last week, I heard that Bryan Danielson said that he wanted to make our match at Punked Out two out of three falls. Danielson, you don't make stipulations around here; that's my job. But just this once, I'm going to go with that idea. Because when I beat you two falls straight, you will finally have to admit that I'm the better man and I can think of no better way to destroy your soul. As for the World Title situation... I was going to let Ronin Fox here get by with only one title match per calendar month, as is the requirement here in MECCA. But since he had to have that match last week, which he won by the way, that means I still have to make a championship match to sell the pay-per-view. And we haven't done this for a while, but we have something called a Supernova Spectacle, where all five men on the Contender Star will get in the ring and eliminate each other until one man is left standing. And that will be your main event tonight; the man who wins through goes on to get a shot at Fox at Punked Out.
(Fox requests the mic and Nykk gives it to him.)
Fox: Wait a minute, Nykk... last I checked, none other than Eddie Crowe was still on the Contender Star. I thought we agreed that he doesn't deserve a rematch for this title, but you're saying he's going to be in the match tonight?
Nykk: Relax, man. Because if you've been paying attention to the Contender Star you'll note the others on it: Kevin Stone, Trent Acid, the guy you already beat last week Jay Crowe, and of course, myself. You don't have to worry about Eddie, because I will take him out of this match tonight and he won't be able to bother you further. Now, I would like to elaborate a little bit on the... the...
(Nykk notices that Joey Sprinklers and Huh are having an intense argument behind him.)
Nykk: Hey!
(They both look at him.)
Nykk: Come here, both of you. What's going on this time?
(Huh and Joey both start explaining at once, and Nykk holds his head.)
Nykk: All right! Huh, you first.
Huh: Ha! I'm the favorite, I knew it. Joey keeps saying that he's the head lackey of this group, Nykk. Tell him he's mistaken.
Nykk: Are you serious? I'm trying to talk about important matches for Punked Out, and you're doing this out here? As far as I'm concerned, you're both screw-ups. If it wasn't for the extra fodder that you two provide, you can rest assured I would have turfed both your asses out of here by now.
Huh: How can you say such a thing, Nykk? I'm blindly loyal to you! And I want to prove it right here in England by reclaiming the Toughman Title for the House of Lords!
(Joey bursts out in laughter, and the rest of the group looks amused as well.)
Nykk: You want to fight Low Ki?
Huh: Yeah, anyone can challenge for the Toughman Title right? I challenged for the World Title a few months ago. I can do this. Bring him on!
Nykk: This ought to be good. Low Ki, get your ass out here because Huh... wants... to beat your... I'm sorry, it's too hard to do this with a straight face. The rest of you, clear out, because I want to see this for myself. Go ahead, Huh, impress me.
(The House of Lords walks to the back as Nykk takes a seat at ringside. "Fighter's Passion" hits and Low Ki makes his way to the ring.)
David: Huh is challenging for the Toughman Title right here and now, but he has to go through Low Ki to get it. We'll be right back!
(Commercial Break)
(FINISH: Ki dominates most of the match, but he misses a double stomp from the top rope and hurts his knee, and Huh clips it. He goes to work on the knee and then tries to whip Ki into the ropes, but gets reversed. Huh moves out of the way of the Krush Rush, and snaps Ki's leg across the top rope. He gives Ki a bulldog and goes to the top rope. He tries a moonsault, but Ki kicks him in the face on the way down. Huh is stunned, and Ki gives him the Ki Krusher. He then goes to the top rope and hits the double stomp this time, covering for the three count.)
Winner: Low Ki
David: Low Ki retains the Toughman Title, and Nykk doesn't look pleased at Huh.
Dick: He gave it a shot, but now Ki will continue to hold one of the titles that the House of Lords doesn't control.
(Huh tries to apologize on the floor, but Nykk just walks away from him.)
(Backstage, Shadow is in the locker room lacing up her boots when Lisa Letty enters.)
Shadow: What do you want?
Lisa: Look, Shadow, I know we haven't been on the same page for the past couple of years, but once we made a hell of a team, and I need you tonight. You see, I've got Kelly Schweickart and Gail Kim in a tag team match, but no one will tag with me.
Shadow: That sucks to be you, I guess.
Lisa: Come on, Shadow. If you help out the House of Lords, you know your career is going to benefit. What do you say?
Shadow: My career will benefit? The only way I can see my career benefiting is for me to take that title you have around your waist. There's your condition. I know you've got a title match coming up against Kim, but if you're still champion after that, I want a shot.
Lisa: Well... okay. You can have your shot, you just need to tag with me tonight and we'll teach those two a lesson they won't soon forget.
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with the Pyro Twins.)
Bill: Jay Crowe, Dusty Schneble, in just a few weeks at Punked Out, you will get the opportunity you've been waiting for to regain the MECCA Tag Team Championship. How are you preparing for this huge match with the Killer Kanines?
Jay: Well, we've been scouting tapes of the Kanines' work, but really only one match stands out. Punked Out 2006, the Pyro Twins defending their tag titles against a new upstart team of Anubis and the Wild Wolf. We beat them then, and we're ready to do it again.
Dusty: Kanines, we know all your moves. We know your strengths and more importantly we know your weaknesses. We're the top team in MECCA, and we plan on proving it come June 30. When we win our belts back...
(The Killer Kanines enter.)
Wolf: Did I hear you correctly? "When" you win your belts back? You two ought to be doing something more constructive with your time, like planning what you're going to do when you lose this match and have to start climbing your way up from the bottom again.
Jay: Have you forgotten who the most dominant tandem in MECCA is? Whether it's singles or tag team work, we've always been at the top of the pack, so to speak, and...
Anubis: You think you're at the top of the pack? We can take you on any day and come out on top, whether in tag team action or singles. And since you two seem so confident, why don't you step in the ring and prove it? Over the next two weeks, let's do a singles series. A representative from each team competes in a match to warm us up for Punked Out. What do you say?
Dusty: I don't even have to consult with my partner for a decision this easy. You're on. Bring what you've got, because I'm pretty sure you don't want to embarrass yourselves on two fronts.
(The Pyro Twins leave.)
(In the arena, "Serve the Shame" hits and Lisa Letty and Shadow make their way to the ring.)
David: We have a challenge accepted for singles series over the next two weeks, pitting the Killer Kanines against the Pyro Twins, but right now, the tandem of Lisa Letty and Shadow will have their hands full.
Dick: The only reason Shadow is teaming with Lisa is because she was promised a shot at the Ladies' Championship if Lisa is still champion after Punked Out. Of course, Lisa and Shadow have a very violent and bitter history.
("Brackish" hits and Gail Kim and Kelly Schweickart make their way to the ring.)
David: Gail Kim has her title shot coming up at Punked Out, and we would be remiss to mention that it was Gail who took the title from Lisa back in 2005.
Dick: And of course Kelly would love to earn another shot at the belt she lost to Lisa, and a victory over the champ right here could get it for her.
(FINISH: Shadow gets backdropped out of the ring as Lisa gets a missile dropkick from Gail. She wanders into a European uppercut from Kelly and wanders right back into Gail, who applies the Christo. The ref tells her that Lisa's not legal, and Lisa swings Gail around and breaks the hold by ramming Gail's head into the turnbuckles. Kelly goes for Lisa, but she ducks out of the ring and heads back up the aisle, washing her hands of the situation. Shadow is back up in the ring and watches her go, yelling for her to come back. She turns around and Gail lifts her into the air for a flapjack, and Kelly grabs her on the way down and drives Shadow's sternum into her knees. Gail applies a 39 Stretch, and Shadow taps out.)
Winners: Gail Kim and Kelly Schweickart
David: Kim and Schweickart win it after Shadow's own partner bailed out of the ring. It looks like she just wanted someone out there to take a fall for her.
Dick: Neither woman got their chance to get the victory over Lisa, but Gail will have the opportunity coming up at Punked Out.
David: We'll be right back with more MECCA action from right here in Liverpool, including another qualifying match for Eight-Man Throwdown as Alan Mayse takes on Cynric!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bryan Danielson walks into the catering area, where Nykk, Cynric and Ronin Fox are coversing.)
Danielson: Nykk!
(Fox and Cynric get ready to fight.)
Nykk: No, it's okay. I'll catch up with you guys later.
(Fox and Cynric leave.)
Danielson: I just want you to know that at Punked Out, two out of three falls, you're in for the pain of a lifetime...
Nykk: Let me cut you off right there. Like has been stated before, we're on opposite sides of the coin now. You're now beloved by the fans while I'm, well, detested. But if you think you've earned that adoration you're sorely mistaken. I haven't forgotten how you joined up with the David Caldwell Project after control of it got away from me. As far as I'm concerned, you're a traitor to MECCA, and you'll get what's coming to you on June 30.
Danielson: The only reason I joined the David Caldwell Project was to do exactly what I did, and that's sabotage it at a crucial moment. But trust me, Nykk, if I had known you were behind it, I would have come after you right from the start. I would have never expected you would instigate something like that, and I've paid the price for that mistake. But at Punked Out, I will correct it once and for all when I get you down on the mat. You're going to writhe and squirm, and I'm just going to keep squeezing harder until all the arrogance comes oozing out, and I will leave you in a pool of your own makings. There's your ample warning, Nykk. And after I'm done with you, I'm going for your friend Fox and his title belt.
(Danielson walks away.)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with Shadow.)
Bill: Shadow, earlier tonight you teamed with Lisa Letty in exchange for a title shot, but things didn't exactly go as planned.
Shadow: What the hell is wrong with her, abandoning me like that? I could have been seriously hurt! All I have to say is, Lisa had better fulfill her promise. When I get the chance, I will be the Ladies' Champion once again.
(In the arena, "Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)
David: The Chief Assassin is out here to attempt to qualify for Eight-Man Throwdown, which will take place at Punked Out. And if Cynric were to win the whole thing, we could very well see him stepping up to face his brother at Summertime Showdown.
Dick: But you have to wonder if he's out here to qualify, or if he's out to stop Alan from qualifying.
("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)
David: Alan has suffered disappointment recently after failing to regain the Toughman Title, but this is his chance to step up and go for the World Title, the only men's title in MECCA Alan has never held.
Dick: He was a great RCW Champion, but hasn't risen to that level yet in MECCA. It will be interesting to see just how far he can go.
(FINISH: Alan hits a springboard dropkick, and Cynric rolls out of the ring. He retrieves a pair of nunchukus from under the apron and gets back in the ring. Referee Keith Young sees them and tries to take them away. Cynric piefaces Young, and he goes down. He turns around and gets an exploder suplex from Mayse. Mayse goes for the Tiger Bomb, but Cynric picks the nunchukus up off the mat and nails Alan in the head with them as he's being lifted. The ref sees it and calls for the bell.)
Winner: Alan Mayse
David: Cynric has been disqualified, and rightfully so. The referee can only allow so much. This means Alan is going on to Eight-Man Throwdown, though I'm sure this isn't how he wanted to win.
Dick: And it looks like Cynric isn't done with him.
(Cynric continues whipping Alan across the back with the nunchukus. Alan blocks another shot and tries to get up, but Cynric unleashes a flurry of strikes with the nunchukus that send him back down, before the ref finally takes them away.)
David: Cynric may have been out to make sure that Alan is no threat by the time he gets to Punked Out. What a dastardly act on the part of the House of Lords. Up next is our main event, and we will determine who will get a shot at Ronin Fox at Punked Out. The Supernova Spectacle is up next!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Joey Sprinklers, who is laughing.)
Bill: Joey, you requested this time, but you haven't told me exactly why yet. What's on your mind?
Joey: Did ya see it? Ya saw Huh completely blow it out there against Low Ki? I'm the one Nykk turns to, Huh, me! Always have been, always will be. You wanna take my spot ya pudgy bastard? Just get in my face one more time, I dare ya!
Bill: Are someone's knees gonna get broke?
Joey: Damn straight!
(In the arena, "Burning Times" hits and Jay Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: It's time for our main event, a five-way elimination match known as the Supernova Spectacle because the Contender Star is set to explode right here. The winner will go on to face Ronin Fox at Punked Out.
Dick: Jay got his opportunity at the title last week, but it didn't pan out for him. Now he has another chance right here on Go Time.
("The Chase" hits and Trent Acid makes his way to the ring.)
David: Since Johnny Kashmere seems to have gone missing, Acid is without a partner right now, but he's persevering as best he can.
Dick: We saw him win a spot on the Contender Star last week with a victory over John Walters, so we could see Acid taking this whole thing.
("At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)
David: Stone has become somewhat of a target recently, along with Low Ki, of the House of Lords. This is one guy that Nykk does not want facing Fox.
Dick: A former MECCA Champion himself, Stone demolished all the competition until his loss to Eddie Crowe.
("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)
David: Nykk has stated he is in this not to win, but to keep the former champion Eddie Crowe from winning. Crowe is the biggest threat to Fox's title. It took two men over forty-five minutes to take the title from him at New Dawn.
Dick: The leader of the House of Lords doesn't seem concerned with holding the title himself, which is odd for him. Still, he's someone who can't be overlooked in this match.
("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: Speaking of Eddie Crowe, the former champion is irate that... wait, here we go!
(Eddie charges the ring and attacks Nykk as the bell rings.)
(FINISH: Jay is the first eliminated after receiving Howling Moon III from Nykk. Acid tags in and steals the pin. Later, Nykk and Eddie are brawling on the floor, and Nykk is trying to keep Eddie out for the ten count. As the ref reaches nine, Eddie reverses a whip on Nykk into the guardrail and makes a lunge for the ring, but Nykk grabs onto his boot and won't let go, and the ref counts them both out. Stone whips Acid into the ropes, but Acid kicks him, then kicks him in the face and goes for a roaring forearm. Stone blocks it and lifts Acid for the Stone Cutter. Acid blocks it and pushes Stone into the ropes, and ducks a clothesline. Stone immediately turns and clotheslines Acid from behind, and then bounces off the ropes to send him down with a big boot. He picks Acid up and whips him into the ropes, hitting the Stone Crusher and getting the pin.)
Winner: Kevin Stone
David: Stone is going to Punked Out, and Nykk can't be happy about this!
Dick: Nykk was probably hoping Jay or Acid would win it, since Fox has had success against both of them in the past, but Stone isn't called the MECCA Monster for nothing.
David: That's all for this week, fans, and I can't wait to see how the House of Lords reacts to this next week!
