("Neocon" opening.)
Skippy: We are here in Lansing, Michigan, as MECCA presents Go Time on FSN! I'm Skippy, along with Dick Broccoli, and tonight we will see Joey Sprinklers put the Toughman Title on the line when he battles John Walters.
Dick: In addition to that, a big ladies' tag match was signed, as Shadow and Rebecca Knox team up to take on Gail Kim and the Ladies' Champion Kelly Schweickart.
Skippy: We'll also hear from Ronin Fox, Bryan Danielson and much more!
("Take It Off" hits and Kelly Schweickart and Gail Kim make their way to the ring.)
Skippy: Here's an interesting team, as our Ladies' Champion teams with the woman who she spent most of last year doing battle with, the Sensation of Submission Gail Kim.
Dick: They're both going to the MECCA Challenge III, with Gail being in the finals of the Women's World Cup and Kelly defending her Ladies' Title, though we don't know if she'll be facing Shadow or not.
("Gangsta Bitch" hits and Shadow and Rebecca Knox make their way to the ring.)
Skippy: Rebecca Knox was the winner of the upper brackets of the Women's World Cup, and will be representing her home country of Ireland on April 28 in New York City. You would have to think the winner of the World Cup would be in strong consideration for a title shot after the MECCA Challenge III.
Dick: We know that Shadow's been lobbying for a shot at the title, being a former champion who wasn't technically defeated for the belt.
(FINISH: Gail gives Knox a missile dropkick from the second rope, but the cover is broken up by Shadow. Kelly comes in and gives Shadow a spinning heel kick. Gail whips Knox into the ropes, but Knox reverses. Gail meets her by locking in the Christo, and Knox starts to lose consciousness. Meanwhile, Shadow backdrops Kelly over the top rope. Kelly lands on the apron and snaps Shadow's head across the top rope. Shadow goes down, and Kelly springboards in with a double stomp to Shadow's midsection. She then charges Knox, but gets kicked. Despite still being in the Christo, Knox hits Kelly with a Falcon Arrow, sitting out and slamming Gail head first into the mat. Shadow crawls over and covers Kelly, getting the three count.)
Winners: Rebecca Knox and Shadow
Skippy: Knox and Shadow proved victorious after a great show of strength by Rebecca Knox, and now Shadow can finally point to a pin over the Ladies' Champion.
Dick: What a victory for these talented ladies, and they showed just why they're so deserving to be on the MECCA Challenge card.
Skippy: When we come back, Cynric will take on the Human Tornado!
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Did My Time" hits and Ronin Fox and Cynric make their way to the ring.)
Skippy: Welcome back to Go Time, and we're supposed to have Cynric against the Human Tornado right now, but Fox's music is playing, and he's coming out with his brother.
Dick: Obviously Fox isn't going to wait until later. He has something to say right now.
(Fox gets a mic.)
Fox: It's always such a pleasure to be in the state of Michigan, the only state that was so dysfunctional they had to split it in two. What they need to do now is segregate some of the populace into a third part, and that would be the part that includes all you idiots that came out of the woodwork tonight! But I'm not here to listen to your meaningless opinions of me here tonight, I'm here to send a message to Eddie Crowe. Eddie, this is old hat by now. As I've said before, I'm the only guy throughout your entire title reign that you've never been able to beat. You beat Low Ki... you beat Bryan Danielson... hell, you even beat my own brother three times. But the first time we met, you were saved due to a disqualification coincidentally caused by your own brother. The second time we met, the match had to be stopped due to all the miscellaneous people at ringside, and I had to stop my quest for the title to take care of an old enemy. But here we are now, just one month away from facing each other, and I'm the guy that has your number. Eddie, you have been an impressive champion, but quite frankly, it's a crime that you still have that belt and I don't. But luckily, I've been blessed with the talent to earn as many title shots as I want. In just one month, you will have to...
(Eddie Crowe makes his way to ringside and grabs a mic.)
Skippy: The MECCA Champion is out here now, and I don't know if it's a good idea to confront Fox with his brother already beside him.
Eddie: Fox, you definitely talk a good game. But all that matters in wrestling is actions. The one action you have not been able to do is win my title. But it's okay that I haven't beaten you, because I get my hands on you one more time at the MECCA Challenge III, and I get to exorcise this demon once and for all by beating you clean. But the reason I'm really out here is because of last week. A contest isn't enough for you. You had to attack me after my match and knock me out with my own belt. That didn't prove that you were the better man... all that proved is that you can sneak around like a thief. But tonight, I don't want any sneaking around. If you want to attack me, do it to my face. Since your brother already has a match, and the Pyro Twins are still hot to get their hands on the Backseat Boyz, what do you say you go find them and we have a little six-man tag?
Fox: You and me tonight, along with the Backseats and the Pyro Twins? Well, I can't speak for the Backseats, but I would love to get my hands on you again, because the more times I beat you down, the better I'll be for the MECCA Challenge. I'll go find Acid and Kashmere, and if they agree, you'll be the first to know.
(Fox exits the ring and heads to the back. Eddie follows him as "Cool" hits and the Human Tornado makes his way to the ring.)
Skippy: A six-man tag proposed for later tonight, as Eddie has challenged the Backseats and Ronin Fox on behalf of the Pyro Twins. What a match that would be. But back to the matter at hand, last week Fox and Cynric beat the Human Tornado and Delirious, but that wasn't enough for the brothers.
Dick: They laid a beatdown on the Human Tornado, and he wants some payback.
(FINISH: Cynric tries a roundhouse kick, but Tornado catches his foot. He throws it away, and Cynric spins around with a reverse crescent kick, but Tornado ducks and tries a kick of his own. Cynric catches his foot and throws it away, and Tornado hits a reverse dragon whip. He gives Cynric a hard clothesline and then jumps to the second turnbuckle, vaulting backwards with a cross body. Cynric rolls through and lifts Tornado. He swings him around into a backbreaker and sets him on his feet, hitting a roundhouse kick to the back of the head. Tornado goes down and Cynric hits the Lift Off, covering for the three count.)
Winner: Cynric
Skippy: Cynric with a solid victory, putting away the Human Tornado.
Dick: Tornado's payback didn't work out like he planned, but it looks like Cynric's still not done with this.
(As Tornado gets out of the ring, Cynric kicks him in the kidneys. He pulls Tornado's torso up against the top rope and wraps his legs around him, applying a rear naked choke in the ropes. The ref tries to get him off, but Cynric won't budge. Finally, Delirious runs down and slides into the ring. Cynric lets go and goes after him, but Delirious ducks a clothesline and bounces off the ropes, meeting Cynric with a dropkick. He gives Cynric the Chemical Imbalance #2, dropping Cynric right on his head. Delirious goes over to help Tornado.)
Skippy: Thank goodness for Delirious, as Cynric just seems to be in a pissed off mood lately and was taking it out on the Human Tornado.
Dick: Delirious and Tornado have this odd sort of friendship dating back to their time in the Eccentric Alliance, but you can be sure if Fox were still out here, it would have been an unhappy ending for these two.
(The ref holds Cynric back from getting in the ring as he holds his head and shouts at Delirious, "That was the second time! There will not be a third!")
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Bryan Danielson and David Caldwell.)
Bill: I'm here with the American Dragon Bryan Danielson and the co-owner of MECCA, David Caldwell. Bryan, at Melee you used your craftiness in the ring to defeat Nykk, but we now have the MECCA Challenge III coming up in just one month, and what does the David Caldwell Project have planned for you?
Caldwell: First of all, any questions about Project business should be directed at me. There's some big changes coming, Bill. And I can't wait for the MECCA Challenge, when the David Caldwell Project embarrasses the so-called competitors of MECCA on their grandest stage.
Danielson: It's real simple, Bicknell. With David Caldwell leading the way, MECCA will soar to new heights under the new name of David Caldwell Sports Entertainment. And when that happens, I will be there to ride the wave to the top of this promotion, but I hear Nykk walking around saying that it's not over between us. Well, Nykk, I can't very well get to the top until I finish my business with you, so how about we do this again right here in this ring tonight?
Caldwell: Whoa, whoa, let's not be so hasty. You have nothing to prove...
Danielson: I do have something to prove, and that's the fact that I am the real Alpha Wolf of MECCA, and if Nykk thinks...
Caldwell: I just think we should think about this...
(They walk off camera, still discussing the challenge.)
Bill: There you have it, a challenge issued to Nykk from Bryan Danielson for tonight. We'll keep you updated on Nykk's answer, but when we come back, the Toughman Title will be on the line.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Body Bomb" hits and John Walters makes his way to the ring.)
Skippy: We're back, and we just heard before the break that Danielson has issued a challenge to Nykk right here tonight. During the break, Nykk has accepted, so those two will square off a little bit later. Not only that, but we have word that the Backseat Boyz have accepted the challenge of Eddie Crowe, and it will be Ronin Fox and the Backseats vs. The EDJ in the main event.
Dick: What matches those will be, but right now John Walters is after some singles gold.
("Hit That" hits and Joey Sprinklers skateboards his way to the ring.)
Skippy: Joey Sprinklers has been anything but an honorable Toughman Champion, and incurred the wrath of Walters when he cheated his partner Matt Stryker out of a victory at Melee. Now Walters wants a chance to take the belt.
Dick: Joey will also have to contend with his former partner Matt Sydal when he returns shortly.
(FINISH: Walters goes for the Hurricane DDT, but Joey hooks the top rope with his legs and won't let go. He flips back to his feet and gets Walters in position for Da Sprinklanator. Walters knees him in the face and then gives him a lung blower. He puts Joey in the sharpshooter, and Joey grabs the bottom rope. However, since there are no rope breaks, Walters keeps the hold on. Joey climbs the ropes with his hands and then swings his body around, taking over Walters. They get to their feet and Joey gets a go behind into a roll up. He puts his feet on the ropes, but the ref doesn't see it and Joey gets the three count.)
Winner: Joey Sprinklers
Skippy: Joey Sprinklers just stole another one, this time from the other half of the Surgeons!
Dick: What a bad break for Walters, who looked to have his first MECCA title in his grasp.
(Matt Stryker comes out and protests to the ref that Joey had his feet on the ropes, but the ref says he didn't see anything. Walters and Stryker go after Joey, but he gets his belt and makes a run for it.)
Skippy: The Surgeons aren't done with Joey Sprinklers, as they have both been ripped off in the last two weeks. When we come back, Nykk will take on Bryan Danielson right here on Go Time!
(Backstage, Katie Piehl is sitting in her office when David Caldwell barges in.)
Caldwell: What is it, Katie? One of my guys has a match up next.
Katie: Caldwell, you and I both know that we are failing to co-exist as owners of MECCA. It's getting to the point where the board of directors is getting impatient with us, and it's obvious that we'll never see eye to eye on our philosophies about professional wrestling. That's why I called you here. One of us has to go, and I think we should settle it in the ring.
Caldwell: You want to wrestle me? Sorry, Katie, but you're not my type...
Katie: No, I'm proposing a different kind of match. An Ultimate MECCA Challenge. You bring five guys, I bring five guys, and we do it like this: at the MECCA Challenge III in New York City, we enclose the ring with a mesh fence. Weapons are legal. Two men start out, and another man enters every three minutes with a coin flip determining which team sends a man in first. Eliminations can only occur via knockout or submission, and whoever's team wins gains full control of MECCA.
Caldwell: Well, now that is a tempting offer. It would be so much easier to get David Caldwell Sports Entertainment off the ground without you in the picture. I like it. I believe in my guys, so you know who my team will be: former tag team champs the CDT, Huh, Jamie Chan and our team captain, the American Dragon Bryan Danielson! You can bring whoever you like, because I get the feeling that you're desperate now. The David Caldwell Project is winning this conflict, and at the MECCA Challenge III we end this once and for all.
Katie: I'll be waiting, right there in my guys' corner.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)
Skippy: We're set for an epic rematch here on Go Time, as Nykk is looking for payback after being defeated by Bryan Danielson back at Melee.
Dick: And we just found out that there will be an Ultimate MECCA Challenge at the MECCA Challenge III... five guys from the David Caldwell Project, five guys from MECCA, winner takes all ownership for either Katie Piehl or David Caldwell. And none other than the American Dragon will captain Caldwell's team.
(David Caldwell makes his way to ringside and grabs a mic.)
Skippy: Speaking of Caldwell, he's supposed to be leading Bryan Danielson to the ring. What is he doing?
Caldwell: Whoa, whoa, whoa, Nykk... I know you want at Danielson bad, and my main man's heart is bigger than his head when it comes to proving that MECCA is inferior to the David Caldwell Project, but quite frankly, we've got this Ultimate MECCA Challenge coming up in a month, and he just doesn't have the time to waste on someone he's already beaten! But Nykk, you've got an opponent tonight, and it's someone more suited to your level of relevance.
("On the Speedway" hits and Jamie Chan makes his way to the ring.)
Skippy: No disrespect for Jamie Chan, but he is not on the same level as Nykk. Nykk is one of the main players in this organization, and he thought he was going to be facing Danielson, but I guess Caldwell has pulled a bait and switch here tonight.
Dick: This could work to Chan's advantage, since Nykk has been preparing for Danielson all night, but he doesn't look too happy. I'm sure Chan is in for a world of pain.
(FINISH: Nykk gives Chan the Trinity and bridges on the dragon suplex, but Caldwell trips him from the outside at two. Nykk goes over and grabs Caldwell, but Chan gets up and gives Nykk a spinning heel kick to the back of the head. Chan goes to the top rope and tries a jumping kick, but Nykk catches him with a dragon screw legwhip and immediately applies the Cedarleaf. Chan taps out after a few moments.)
Winner: Nykk
Skippy: Nykk with the victory despite interference from Caldwell and no time to prepare for his opponent, and you know that Nykk would just love to be on Team MECCA for the Ultimate MECCA Challenge, even if it's just to get his hands on Danielson again.
Dick: Chan was unable to get the win over Nykk, as so many have not been able to do. But he'll have his chance for glory on April 28.
Skippy: We've got our main event up next, as the challenge has been accepted by the Backseat Boyz. The EDJ take on Ronin Fox, Trent Acid and Johnny Kashmere next.
(Backstage, Kelly Schweickart is with Katie Piehl.)
Katie: You're sure about this?
Kelly: Yeah, I think I'm really ready.
(Shadow enters.)
Shadow: You wanted to see me?
Katie: Shadow, you were talking with me last week about wanting a rematch for the Ladies' Title... well, Kelly seems to be willing to give it to you.
Kelly: You got the win over me tonight, Shadow, and I just wanted to say that you definitely proved you deserve a chance to win back the title.
Shadow: You're damn right I do. You just name the place, and I'll take you down and take back my belt.
Katie: It's going to be at the MECCA Challenge III, MECCA's biggest event to date. You and Kelly, one on one.
Kelly: May the best woman win.
(Kelly extends her hand, but Shadow just glares at it disdainfully and walks away.)
Kelly: Wow, what an attitude.
Katie: She seems to think that she can just complain her way to a title shot, but when she actually earns it...
(Alan Mayse enters.)
Alan: Ms. Piehl, can I talk to you?
Katie: Sure, Alan. What's up?
Alan: I've been going crazy since I came back because of Joey Sprinklers. He's been devaluing the title that I built week by week, and I just want my opportunity to win it back and restore its dignity.
Katie: I understand that, Alan, and believe me, I want to see that title be restored to being defended fairly as much as the next person. But if you'll recall, the reason Joey got that shot is because there was a glut of people wanting a title match, and he beat them all to get that shot. The same is true now... but next week, you'll get that opportunity as I have signed an Invitational Toughman Battle Royale, with the winner becoming the number one contender to the Toughman Champion, and you my friend, are entered.
Alan: Thank you, Ms. Piehl. One chance is all I need. Joey Sprinklers is going down just as soon as I can get to him.
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with the UK Wrecking Crew.)
Bill: I'm here with Tristan Lee, Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher, the UK Wrecking Crew, and you guys in recent months have morphed from a tag team into a full blown faction.
Nathans: That's right, and this is only the beginning for the UK Wrecking Crew. We are ready to make our mark as a faction here in MECCA, and...
(Joey Sprinklers enters.)
Fletcher: What are you doing here?
Joey: Listen, I'm here cause I gotta buncha goombahs after my title right now, and I know the Surgeons are going to be coming after me still. I'm only one man, and I can't fight off this onslaught by myself. I need some help.
Lee: Why should we help you? Are you from the UK? Did you grow up on the other side of the pond? We are only interested in the best British athletes...
Joey: Hey, don't think that's lost on me. And youse guys might speak all proper and such, but I got a little bit of the universal language to share if you help me out. Money.
(The UK Wrecking Crew exchange glances.)
Fletcher: Money, you say? Maybe we can work something out, then.
Nathan: Yes. Let's see if we can come to some kind of compromise. Bicknell, off with you!
(They shove Bicknell off camera.)
(In the arena, "Did My Time" hits and Ronin Fox and the Backseat Boyz make their way to the ring.)
Skippy: It's time for our six-man main event here on Go Time, and Ronin Fox is looking to hurt Eddie once again tonight.
Dick: In almost a year, no one has been able to get the belt off of Eddie in a one on one match. Fox's strategy seems to be to wear him down in the weeks leading up to the MECCA Challenge III.
("Fire" hits and the EDJ make their way to the ring.)
Skippy: The Pyro Twins will certainly be focused on the Backseats during this match, which means we're going to see preview of two of our big MECCA Challenge matches right here.
Dick: It seems like one referee just isn't enough to contain the grudges held in this match.
(FINISH: Acid hits the Yakuza Kick on Dusty, but Jay breaks up the cover and whips Acid into the corner. He charges, but Acid backdrops Jay over the top rope. Jay lands on the apron and Acid moves out of the way to let Kashmere spear him through the ropes and to the floor. Eddie gives Acid an enzugiri and bounces off the ropes, but Fox grabs his foot. Dusty baseball slides into Fox and then goes outside to brawl with him. Acid kicks Eddie, gives him another kick to the face and follows up with a roaring forearm. Eddie ducks it and kicks Acid, giving him a running brainbuster. He goes for the Eddie Dive, but Acid rolls out of the way. Acid goes for the Shovel Driver, but Eddie knees him in the face to escape and snapmares him over, rolling him up with a magistral cradle for the three count.)
Winners: The EDJ
Skippy: The EDJ win this six-man tag, and gain some momentum for next month in New York City.
Dick: The experience of the EDJ as a tandem allowed them to net the victory, and the MECCA Champion stands tall once again.
(Jay and Kashmere continue to brawl on the floor, and Acid rolls out of the ring to help his partner. Dusty joins in as they battle to the back. Eddie watches, but gets hit from behind with a lariat from Fox. Fox gives Eddie a traditional piledriver and then locks in the Carrion Stretch. Officials come out to pull Fox off of Eddie, who is holding his neck.)
Skippy: Fox has just attacked his opponent for the MECCA Challenge again, and it looks like he hurt him bad this time!
Dick: Fox is going right after that neck, as so many of his holds do. He wants to make sure that a Tail End is all it takes to put away Eddie at the MECCA Challenge III.
Skippy: We'll see you next week, fans. This has been MECCA Go Time!
