Go Time: 2/21/07

San Francisco, CA

("Neocon" opening.)

Skippy: Tonight, MECCA makes its debut in San Francisco, California, and this is Go Time! I'm Skippy, along with Dick Broccoli, and tonight we will see a big six-man tag match as all three members of the UK Wrecking Crew take on Nykk, Kevin Stone and the MECCA Champion Eddie Crowe!

Dick: In addition to that, the lower brackets of the Women's World Cup begin as we see two Four Corners matches to determine who advances and who is eliminated from the tournament.

Skippy: We'll also see Matt Sydal take on Jamie Chan and much more right here tonight!

("Butterfly" hits and Sumie Sakai makes her way to the ring.)

Skippy: We're kicking things off with the Women's World Cup, and representing Japan is Sumie Sakai.

Dick: She lost to Daizee Haze in the first round, but a win here will keep her in the tournament, but it's only a one in four chance and she'll have to be crafty to survive this match.

("Filthy/Gorgeous" hits and Coquette makes her way to the ring.)

Skippy: MECCA's own Coquette represents her home country of France, and she seems a little lost since she parted ways with Cheesecake, who is now out of MECCA altogether.

Dick: This is a good opportunity to turn things around, though, as Coquette has shown some potential as a fine competitor.

("She Bangs" hits and Fabi Apache makes her way to the ring.)

Skippy: The Mexican Fabi Apache was impressive in her first round match, though she didn't pick up the victory against Zoe Alexander.

Dick: She can still go all the way, but it will be a long road for all these women in the lower brackets.

("Edge of Seventeen" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring.)

Skippy: Lisa Letty, surprisingly, was the only American competitor to be beaten in the first round, thanks to some dastardly tactics from the winner of the upper brackets, Rebecca Knox.

Dick: That put Lisa out for a few weeks with a knee injury, but she looks to be back and ready to go. If anyone can still pull this tournament off, it's the First Lady of MECCA.

(FINISH: Apache goes to the top rope, but Coquette pushes her off to the floor. Meanwhile, Lisa gives Sumie a headscissors that takes her to the floor. Coquette charges Lisa, but she takes her down with a Fujiwara armbar and floats over, segueing right into the Letty Stretch. After a few moments, Coquette taps out.)

Winner: Lisa Letty

Skippy: Lisa Letty is still alive in this tournament, and unfortunately for the other three, their participation is through.

Dick: Lisa showed exactly why she's considered the First Lady of MECCA, as she can just pull a victory out of nowhere, and that's why she's a two-time Ladies' Champion.

Skippy: We'll be right back and see Matt Sydal battle Jamie Chan of the David Caldwell Project!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Afternoon Delight" hits and the David Caldwell Project makes their way to the ring.)

Skippy: We're back, and big surprise, David Caldwell is coming out here to address the crowd.

Dick: He's got the troops around him in full force this week.

(Caldwell gets a mic.)

Caldwell: Let me tell you, I am just about sick to death of the state of California! And I can't wait to get the hell out of here and back to the Midwest next week. First order of business: some of you may have noticed that Kishi has not been with us since the Six Man Apocalypse, after the brutal and unfair gang beating he took prior to his elimination. For now, he has to take a leave of absence due to injuries, but luckily I've got more than enough troops to fill the void. Now, in three weeks MECCA will present Melee when we travel outside the US for the first time, to Toronto, Canada. And the main event that night will be my main man Bryan Danielson going one on one with Nykk. Nykk, you really stepped in it last week when you requested this match, because Bryan has been demonstrating on some of the students in the back just what he's going to do to you, and you're in for a world of pain, buddy. In addition to that, we saw new Ladies' Champion crowned last week, and it's my decision that Kelly Schweickart will put the title up for grabs at Melee when she faces the Project's very own Zoe Alexander.

Skippy: Why? What exactly has Zoe done to be considered for a title match lately?

(Danielson asks for the mic and Caldwell gives it to him.)

Danielson: Ah-hem, ah-hem... ah-hem. Normally I'd address all you fans, calling you idiots, morons, and telling you that I'm the best wrestler in the world, but since we're in California, that would be like beating a dead horse. I don't need to tell you what you already know and have heard countless times before, but Nykk, I don't think that knowledge has quite seeped into your head yet. You want to step in the ring with me at Melee? I'm not afraid of you. I had you on the ropes back in the Six Man Apocalypse. By all means, come into my ring on March 17, and we'll find out just who breaks who.

Caldwell: And now I'm out here to watch Jamie Chan take his place amongst MECCA's young up and comers, as I watch him beat the hell out of that snot-nosed kid, Sydal... where's my coffee? Medea!

(Medea comes to the ring with a cup of coffee. She gets in the ring, but trips and spills it all over Caldwell. Caldwell berates her, and the CDT go so far as to shove her down. This brings out the Killer Kanines, who brawl with the David Caldwell Project.)

Skippy: I can't believe at the mistreatment of Medea Knight we just witnessed, but here come the Killer Kanines and they're going to town!

(Anubis clotheslines Danielson over the top rope as the Wild Wolf takes out CB and Dreamo. Anubis goes outside and whips Huh into the barricade. As they all brawl, Chan goes to the top rope and takes out the whole pile with a tumbling senton. He gets back in the ring and celebrates, but Matt Sydal runs out through the crowd and tackles him. Referee Keith Young slides into the ring and calls for the bell.)

Dick: I guess we're getting this match underway right now. I'm sure Sydal didn't appreciate Caldwell's comments about him either.

(FINISH: Sydal goes up to hit the Cyclorama, but Chan fights back. He pushes Sydal to the mat, and goes for a guillotine legdrop. Sydal moves and then gives Chan the Here It Is Driver, covering for the three count.)

Winner: Matt Sydal

Skippy: Sydal wins it, and once again Caldwell had to watch one of his "entertainers" go down in flames.

(Caldwell gets a mic.)

Caldwell: I have had enough of this BS with you "wrestling loyalists" attacking my guys. Kanines, this is all your fault. And in the main event tonight, I'm putting you in it, because you will face off against the team of Huh and Bryan Danielson!

Skippy: Whoa, a tag match for the main event, but I don't know how cohesive a team Huh and Danielson are going to be.

Dick: Well, Huh is a former tag team champ, and probably more comfortable in that environment. And we all know Danielson's credentials, so I wouldn't underestimate them.

Skippy: Speaking of tag team action, we've got a six-man tag coming up next, as Nykk, Kevin Stone and the MECCA Champion Eddie Crowe will take on the UK Wrecking Crew right here in San Francisco!

(Commercial Break)

(In the locker room, the UK Wrecking Crew is lacing up their boots when Tristan Lee enters.)

Nathans: Tristan, what's happening, mate?

Tristan: You guys remember last week when you said we needed more manpower, and I said that something else was the answer?

Fletcher: You still on about that? Come on, we've got a big tag match coming up. We have to prove to all these clam-digging fans that we're still a force to be reckoned with.

Tristan: No, I think I have the answer we're looking for. Not manpower, but...

(Nikki Chandler enters.)

Tristan: A woman's intuition.

Nathans: Blimey, Tristan, this is what you came up with? No offense, darling, but you're not quite what we're looking for.

Chandler: Look, just give me a chance, mush. Like Tristan told me, us Brits have to stick together, right?

Nathans: Right, well, you're a right sassy skirt, aren't you? I'll tell you what. Come out for our match with us and show us that you can be a valuable member of our team, and I think you know what we mean when we say that. Let's go.

(The UK Wrecking Crew leave the locker room, and Nikki looks excited.)

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Rebecca Knox.)

Bill: I'm here with Rebecca Knox, Ireland's representative in the Women's World Cup, and Rebecca, congratulations on winning the upper brackets. Now you will go on to the MECCA Challenge III to face whoever wins the lower brackets for the World Cup.

Knox: The MECCA officials tell me I'm not done yet, Bill, and that's okay, because there is no way a bunch of losers from the lower brackets are going to take the K-nox out. Clean as a whistle, sharp as a thistle right here, and when I win the World Cup, I'm coming for that Ladies' Title. I've already beat one former Ladies' Champ, Lisa Letty, and that was easy. Who else is there? LuFisto? I just watched her blow it big time last week, and that lass's career is now in the jacks.

(Gail Kim enters.)

Gail: Hey, Rebecca. I just wanted to say that you really impressed me going through the upper brackets like that. But as impressed as I am, I'm also angry. Even though you cheated half the time, that's not what made me angry. It's not that you beat all the American competitors; I'm from Canada, I can't be angry about that. It's that you use this opportunity to run down the former Ladies' Champs of MECCA. They're what built the ladies' division in MECCA, from Lisa to Shadow to LuFisto, and... oh yeah, me, Gail Kim, the longest reigning Ladies' Champ in MECCA history. I've got a match coming up, and rest assured I'm going to try my hardest to make it to the finals so that I can jam those words right back down your throat.

(Gail leaves.)

(In the arena, "Problems" hits and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring, along with Nikki Chandler.)

Skippy: It's time for our six-man tag match, and it looks like the UKWC are looking at Nikki Chandler as a prospect for their group. Of course, Nikki is also involved in the Women's World Cup and will be competing in the next round of the lower brackets.

Dick: She's looking to get her foot in the door here in MECCA, and this could be a good opportunity for her.

("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe, Nykk and Kevin Stone make their way to the ring.)

Skippy: All three of these men have fought against the David Caldwell Project, but tonight they will be testing their skills against the UKWC.

Dick: But Eddie has his own problems with Ronin Fox for the next couple of months, so we may have lost a soldier there. But Nykk and Stone are always ready for a fight.

(FINISH: Nykk hits Lee with a leg lariat from the top rope, but Nathans sends him through the ropes with a dropkick. He walks right into the Stone Cutter from Stone, and Stone then gets tripped and dragged out of the ring by Fletcher. Eddie drags him back into the ring by the hair, but Chandler enters the ring while the ref is tied up with Lee. She gives Eddie a low blow, and Nathans and Fletcher give him a double back suplex. They turn him over and hit the Wrecking Ball, and Fletcher covers for the three count.)

Winners: The UK Wrecking Crew

Skippy: The UK Wrecking Crew are victorious, and it looks like they can thank Chandler for this one.

Dick: I guess she proved she can be of some use to them.

Skippy: Up next the Women's World Cup continues with another Four Corners Match!

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Zoe Alexander.)

Bill: Zoe, we found out earlier on that David Caldwell has granted you a shot at the Ladies' Title at Melee coming up on March 17. You have to be ecstatic, as this is what you joined the David Caldwell Project for in the first place.

Zoe: I joined the Project because I agree with Caldwell. And I knew he needed someone in the trenches of the ladies' division who know all these ice queens, and I'm only going to add to my accomplishment of being the 2006 Bikini Quest Champion by beating Kelly Schweickart for the Ladies' Title. Kelly, you couldn't even pin the champion to win that belt, and you expect to get by me? I'm all about sexy walks and hard knocks, and Kelly Schweickart will find out the hard way come Melee. David Caldwell Sports Entertainment will have its new Ladies' Champion.

(In the arena, "Gucci Forema" hits and Blue Nikita makes her way to the ring.)

Skippy: The lower brackets of the Women's World Cup continues as Greece's Blue Nikita gives it one more shot.

Dick: She lost to the American Angel Sara Del Rey in the first round, and she'll eventually have to face her again if she wants to win this thing.

("Meaning of Life" hits and Princess Sugey makes her way to the ring.)

Skippy: Mexico's Princess Sugey, the luchadora, has one last chance to do her country proud, as Fabi Apache was eliminated earlier tonight.

Dick: The pressure is on for all of these ladies, but it's doubly on when your country's counting on you.

("Drop Dead Gorgeous" hits and Magenta makes her way to the ring.)

Skippy: Australia's own Magenta came to the United States to train at the MECCA Training Camp, and she was granted this great opportunity. As the least experienced competitor in this tournament, it's no surprise she lost her first round match, but this is a chance to make a better showing.

Dick: There's not a lot of opportunities for professional wrestlers in Australia, so Magenta wants to make sure that she represents her country well.

("Brackish" hits and Gail Kim makes her way to the ring.)

Skippy: The Sensation of Submission, our longest reigning Ladies' Champion, fell in the first round to future legend Mariko Yoshida, and she's looking to bounce back tonight.

Dick: She also had a few choice words for the winner of the upper brackets, Rebecca Knox, earlier tonight.

(FINISH: Magenta hits a powerslam on Sugey, but then gets rolled up by Nikita for a two count. Magenta pushes her off, directly into a spinning heel kick from Gail. Gail then ducks a clothesline from Magenta and counters with a floatover DDT. She covers and gets the three count.)

Winner: Gail Kim

Skippy: The Toronto native has done it, and we have eliminated three more competitors in the Women's World Cup. Kim now goes on to face Nikki Chandler and Mariko Yoshida in a Triangle Match in the next round.

Dick: And since Sugey is eliminated, that means that Mexico is the only country with multiple participants to completely wash out. It is not a good day for the pride of our fans south of the border.

Skippy: We've got our main event of the Killer Kanines vs. Bryan Danielson and Huh coming up, but we have to take a quick break and we'll return in a few.

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, a camera catches up with Nykk.)

Nykk: You know, you'd think I'd be more upset about what happened out there with the UK Wrecking Crew, but they can have that win if it makes them feel better. All I'm focused on is Melee, March 17, myself and Bryan Danielson. Bryan, you and I have always had some sort of wary respect or tolerance for each other, but that all went out the window when you joined the David Caldwell Project. As far as I'm concerned, that now makes you public enemy number one for pro wrestling fans and competitors everywhere. I know that I...

(Brother Jim suddenly bursts in, ringing his bell and holding a Bible.)

Brother Jim: For He punishes, and He has mercy! And He casts down to the depths of the underworld! No one may escape His hand. But the end is coming! The order will fall when the two strays come to their master, and the end will come with fire! I implore you all, o-pen your Bibles!

(Security arrives and drags Brother Jim away as he's still ranting. Nykk looks like he wants to murder him.)

(Elsewhere, Joey Sprinklers is sitting on a chair, spit polishing the Toughman Title. Matt Sydal enters.)

Sydal: Well, it seems we have a new champion in the house!

Joey: Whaddya want, Matt? I'm kind of busy right now. I broke off our team a month ago. I don't need ya anymore!

Sydal: Yeah, I see that. Yet at Snowed In, you were still hounding my steps like some lost puppy. Well, I want to see if there's any fight in this dog. Next week, I want a shot at the Toughman Title.

Joey: And what if I don't wanna give it to ya?

Sydal: You're the Toughman Champion now, Joey. You don't have a choice. I've already talked to Katie Piehl. The match is on.

(Sydal leaves.)

Joey: Oh yeah? I'm the Toughman Champion now! Next week, I'm gonna break ya knees and prove that I'm worthy of this belt! Whaddya think about that?

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson and Huh make their way to the ring, along with David Caldwell.)

Skippy: It's time for our main event, and we just found out that next week it will be Joey Sprinklers in his first Toughman Title defense against his former partner Matt Sydal. This tag match was made earlier by David Caldwell, and this is the first time we'll see Bryan Danielson and Huh as a team.

Dick: Huh has been showing some fire recently, especially after his attack on Kevin Stone last week, and Caldwell wants to see him step up to the level of Bryan Danielson, his golden boy as it were.

("Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)

Skippy: Anubis and the Wild Wolf were incensed at being cheated out of the tag titles they fought so hard to get, and they will take any chance they can get to fight the David Caldwell Project.

Dick: A win here could mean another rematch for the tag titles, so you know that Wolf and Anubis are one hundred percent focused.

(FINISH: Anubis hits the Ankh Smash on Huh, but Danielson clips his knee to take him down. Wolf dropkicks Danielson to send him out of the ring, and Huh hits Wolf with a clothesline. He bounces off the ropes, but Wolf sends him down with a reverse elbow. However, Danielson trips Wolf and drags him out of the ring, where he and Huh attack him with forearms. Anubis bounces off the ropes and leaps over the top rope with a plancha onto Huh and Danielson. The two teams continue to brawl around the ringside area, and the ref wants them back in the ring, but they want none of it. Finally, Caldwell gets involved, holding Wolf for Huh to beat up and Anubis gets a chair and chases them away. The ref finally just throws the match out and calls for the bell.)

Winners: No Contest

Skippy: This match has been thrown out, as things are getting out of hand at ringside!

Dick: The Killer Kanines hate David Caldwell and anyone associated with him, and it looks like their temper has gotten the better of them.

(Huh helps Caldwell escape through the crowd, and Danielson backs up the aisle. However, Nykk comes through the curtain and blocks him from getting to the back. Danielson turns around and sees him, backing off. He tries to go back to the ring, but the Killer Kanines block his path. Finally, Danielson jumps over the guardrail and follows Huh and Caldwell out through the crowd.)
