Go Time: 1/31/07

St. Louis, MO

("Neocon" opening.)

Skippy: Welcome to Go Time, ladies and gentlemen, and tonight MECCA presents its annual Night of Champions! I'm Skippy, along with Dick Broccoli. Tonight, the champions of MECCA put their titles on the line against the competitors with the best win/loss record from 2006. We know that it will be Alan Mayse vs. Eddie Crowe tonight, but we don't know which title will be on the line.

Dick: We'll also see the Women's World Cup second round continue as Sara Del Rey takes on Mariko Yoshida, as well as Wesna vs. Nikki Chandler!

("What You Waiting For" hits and LuFisto makes her way to the ring.)

Skippy: We're kicking things off with our Ladies' Title match, and here comes the woman with the best win/loss record of 2006. LuFisto went 14-2 last year.

Dick: That's an impressive record, especially considering the competition she had to face.

("Gangsta Bitch" hits and Shadow makes her way to the ring.)

Skippy: Shadow has been using this hype surrounding the Women's World Cup to sort of hide from her most dangerous challengers over the last month, but tonight she has no choice but to put the title on the line, because it's the Night of Champions.

Dick: Shadow likes to pick her battles, but this one picked her. Shadow won the belt from LuFisto back at Scared Stiff in October, and this will be the first time that she's gotten a one on one rematch.

(FINISH: LuFisto goes for the LuFisto Launcher, but Shadow escapes and goes for the Dragon Sleeper. LuFisto turns over and rams her into the corner, placing Shadow on the top turnbuckle. She goes for a superplex, but Shadow counters into a bodypress, trapping the arms and putting her feet on the ropes for extra leverage, getting the three count.)

Winner: Shadow

Skippy: Shadow won the match, but it was thanks to shady tactics once again!

Dick: LuFisto had to expect that Shadow would do what she had to do to retain her title, and she's not too thrilled about being cheated twice now.

Skippy: We have to take a short break, but when we come back we will have our tag title match here at Night of Champions!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "I've Got the Power" hits and Katie Piehl makes her way to the ring.)

Skippy: Welcome back, and here comes the co-owner of MECCA, Katie Piehl, who has to be glad that the power is back in her hands this week.

Dick: We're all glad the show is hers this week, because Night of Champions is all about the wrestling.

(Katie gets a mic.)

Katie: Greetings to all our loyal fans here in St. Louis! And welcome to Go Time: Night of Champions, the second year we've done this. As you know, the idea is that the people in each respective division in MECCA with the best win/loss record of the previous year are rewarded with a title shot here tonight. You already saw our Ladies' Title match, and there is much more to come. As you all found out last week, the number one and two wrestlers in the singles division of MECCA last year were the MECCA Toughman Champion Alan Mayse and the World Champion Eddie Crowe. And at this time, I request that you both come out to the ring.

(Alan Mayse and Eddie Crowe make their way to the ring.)

Skippy: Alan was number one last year with a record of 27-7-3, while Crowe came in right behind him at 19-6-1. It was to be determined that the best record would get a World Title shot, and the second best would get a Toughman Title shot.

Dick: We know it's going to be Eddie Crowe vs. Alan Mayse later tonight, but we don't know which belt will be on the line.

Katie: Gentlemen, as you both know, you have the best win/loss records of 2006, but you also both happen to be MECCA's singles champions. I've thought it over all week, trying to determine if MECCA and its titles were ready for this, and I think that the fans deserve to see it here on Night of Champions. So later on in the main event, it will be Eddie Crowe vs. Alan Mayse... and they will be going title for title!

Skippy: Whoa! A first here in MECCA, a title for title match!

(Eddie requests the mic.)

Eddie: Ms. Piehl, this is all well and good, as I would love to be MECCA's first ever triple crown winner... but I would assume that with the Toughman Title on the line, that Toughman rules will be in place in this contest. But I'm the World Champion. Does that mean I could lose the match under Toughman rules and my title?

Katie: I'm glad you asked that, Eddie, because it has been decided that for this match, modified Toughman rules will be in place. Closed fists and no count-outs still apply... but rope breaks will be enforced, and both championships can only change hands on a pinfall or a submission, but not on a knockout. Do you both agree to these rules?

(Alan and Eddie nod.)

Katie: Good, now shake hands and you're free to prepare for your match.

(Alan and Eddie lock eyes and shake hands, but suddenly "Afternoon Delight" hits and David Caldwell makes his way to the ring, along with the CDT. They have their tag titles inside of a bag.)

Skippy: A big moment in the history of MECCA, and of course Caldwell has to come out and ruin it.

Dick: He was a little impatient, as the CDT are set to defend their tag titles, but you know that he's not going to let Katie Piehl have this little bit of glory.

(Caldwell gets a mic.)

Caldwell: Isn't that sweet? That's real sportsmanlike and all, but do you know what the viewers are doing right now? They're changing the channel! Sorry to disappoint you all, but Lost doesn't come back until next week, so keep it right here. Now Katie, I don't know why, but I was not informed of who the number one tag team of 2006 was as of yet. My guys are ready; they have their belts, and we're set to defend the David Caldwell Sports Entertainment Tag Team Titles. And we want to take this opportunity to unveil the new belts.

(The CDT take the tag belts out of the bag, and the belts now have a spinner in the middle shaped like the MECCA logo.)

Caldwell: Is that cool or what?

Katie: What the hell have you done to those belts!?

Caldwell: We've made them more in touch with the youth of today. And when we lure all those bratty teenagers and their disposable income to MECCA, we'll be rolling in the benjamins!

Katie: I wouldn't count your money yet, Caldwell, because I'm ready too. I'm ready to introduce the team with the best win/loss record of 2006, and when they take those belts, they're going back the way they were. Ladies and gentlemen, your challengers, with a phenomenal 2006 record of 26-5 in tag team matches... Anubis and the Wild Wolf, the Killer Kanines!

("Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring as Katie, Alan and Eddie exit. Caldwell and the CDT are upset.)

Skippy: There you go, Caldwell. Act cocky now. The CDT stole those titles from the Kanines two weeks ago after Bryan Danielson interefered. Now the Kanines have their rematch right here on Night of Champions!

Dick: And what's with those spinner belts anyway? I mean, it works for someone like John Cena who has the whole hip hop thing going... but on these guys it just doesn't make any sense!

(FINISH: The Killer Kanines destroy the CDT, and the Wild Wolf manages to put Concession Boy in the Kanine Kruncher. However, as Caldwell distracts Anubis on the outside, Dreamo comes in with one of the new spinner belts and hits Wolf across the head with it, causing the ref to call for the bell.)

Winners: The Killer Kanines

Skippy: The CDT just saved their new titles by getting themselves disqualified, and they'll live to fight another day.

Dick: Or not.

(As CB and Dreamo stomp on Wolf, Anubis gets back in the ring and goes after them. They duck out of the ring and retreat up the ramp with Caldwell and spin their belts at Anubis.)

Skippy: Sooner or later, some team is going to come along and get those belts off of them, but until then we have to watch that indignity to the titles. When we come back, the Women's World Cup will continue!

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Joey Sprinklers.)

Bill: Joey Sprinklers, last week you won the Toughman Gauntlet against some very tough challengers to win a shot at the belt at Bloody Valentine. Just who the champion will be at Bloody Valentine is another question altogether. Do you have a different strategy if it's Eddie Crowe who is Toughman Champion after tonight?

Joey: Where does it end, Bill? Everywhere I go, people chant Ed-die, Ed-die, Ed-die. He's got this whole promotion by the balls, and now he's after more glory? I don't think so, Eddie, because even if you are Toughman Champion after tonight, I'm gettin' that strap on February 10. And Alan, if it's you, don't worry. I got a real special plan for beating you. Board on, bitches!

(Joey jumps onto his skateboard and skates away.)

(In the arena, "Alcoholocaust" hits and Sara Del Rey makes her way to the ring.)

Skippy: Board on? Well, Joey Sprinklers is certainly confident as we head toward Bloody Valentine, which will debut MECCA on the West Coast, as it kicks off a series of MECCA shows in Los Angeles.

Dick: That's big for MECCA, which is truly branching out all across the country.

Skippy: It's time for second round action in the Women's World Cup, as the American Angel Sara Del Rey is in for a test tonight.

("Butterfly Magic" hits and Mariko Yoshida makes her way to the ring.)

Skippy: Japanese veteran Mariko Yoshida made her presence felt at Snowed In, by beating former MECCA Ladies' Champion Gail Kim in her first round match.

Dick: Yoshida has already made headlines in Japan, and she plans on going back there a winner once again. She is definitely one of the favorites in this tournament.

(FINISH: Del Rey goes for a powerbomb, but Yoshida escapes and kicks her. She goes for the double underhook facebuster, but Del Rey takes her over with a modified northern lights suplex, bridging for the three count.)

Winner: Sara Del Rey

Skippy: Sara Del Rey has upset the Japanese veteran, and now Yoshida drops down into the lower brackets in a Triangle Match to determine her fate.

Dick: Now Del Rey goes on to face the winner of Germany's Wesna vs. the UK's Nikki Chandler.

Skippy: And that match will happen next!

(Commercial Break)

(In the locker room, the David Caldwell Project has gathered in front of the showers.)

Caldwell: Okay guys, so last week didn't quite go as planned. I got a little hot and inadvertently gave control of the show back to Katie Piehl. But it won't happen again, I assure you. Next week, we are going to blow the Nielson boxes across the country right off peoples' televisions.

Danielson: I have every confidence in you, Mr. Caldwell, but I want to know when I'm going to have the chance to put Nykk away once and for all.

Caldwell: Don't every worry about it, Bryan. It won't happen next week, because I'm giving you the night off as a thank you for what you did two weeks ago in that eight-man. And when you come back, forget about Nykk, I say we start your push toward the World Title.

Huh: Wait, Nykk's not just going to forget what we did to him. He's going to come after us.

Caldwell: You let me worry about Nykk. After next week, he won't be around to stop us anymore.

(In the office, Katie Piehl is in front of her desk.)

Katie: Fans, I have some exciting news for all of you, especially for our fans on the West Coast. As you all know, MECCA debuts in Los Angeles, California, on February 10 for Bloody Valentine, live on pay-per-view. But as a special thank you for making this possible, we've decided to give you fans a special match on that night. So at Bloody Valentine, you will witness the return of Six Man Apocalypse. Twenty-five men, one winner, and that winner will get the World Title shot on April 28, when MECCA makes its debut in New York City for the MECCA Challenge III! We invite you to join us live on pay-per-view, when MECCA puts a guaranteed main event spot on the line at Bloody Valentine.

(In the arena, "Bad Reputation" hits and Nikki Chandler makes her way to the ring.)

Skippy: That's big news, the Six Man Apocalypse comes to Los Angeles, with the winner going on to challenge for the World Title at the MECCA Challenge III. You can expect a struggle for spots on the Contender Star next week, as those who are on the Contender Star get to draw from numbers 15 to 25, assuring them a better chance of victory in this marathon match. Right now, the Women's World Cup continues with more second round action, as the UK's Nikki Chandler makes her way to the ring.

Dick: Chandler had an impressive victory over Magenta in the first round, and a lot is on the line as she is the only major wrestling country with one participant in this tournament.

("Firestarter" hits and Wesna makes her way to the ring.)

Skippy: Of course, Wesna is fighting for the pride of Germany, and she was also impressive in the first round in her match against Princess Sugey.

Dick: She definitely has a reputation, and backed that up in the first round. But it's up to her to see if she'll continue in the upper brackets.

(FINISH: Chandler goes for a top rope splash, but Wesna gets her knees up. She goes for a powerbomb, but Chandler escapes. She charges Wesna, but gets taken over with a northern lights suplex for a two count. Wesna lifts her into an elevated full nelson and then drives her face into the mat by sitting out. She covers and gets the three count.)

Winner: Wesna

Skippy: Wesna picks up another victory, and she joins Daizee Haze, Rebecca Knox and Sara Del Rey as the final four of the upper bracket!

Dick: Another impressive win, and it looks like Wesna means business out there. She wants to bring the World Cup back to Germany.

Skippy: We've got MECCA's first title for title match still to come in the main event, but we'll be right back.

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Kelly Schweickart goes into the office to find David Caldwell sitting in Katie's chair.)

Kelly: Where's Katie?

Caldwell: She stepped out for a minute. What can I do for you, my little starlet?

Kelly: Caldwell, I just want to say that it went against every instinct and moral value I have to get in the ring like that with Medea last week. But I deserve a shot at the Ladies' Championship. I'm finally ready, and I...

Caldwell: Whoa, whoa, whoa. You have the gall to come back here and ask a favor of me after you walked out on your match last week? I gave you a chance to earn a shot, and you blew it. Where were you when I was campaigning for candidates in the Bikini Quest? You could have had this entire promotion bowing to your every whim, but instead you chose to hold onto some principle. I should get rid of you the way I did Cheesecake, but...

(Katie Piehl enters the room.)

Katie: What the hell, Caldwell?

Caldwell: Katie! How's your grandmother?

Katie: She's not in the hospital, for one thing. I was halfway to my car before I realized that the last of my grandparents died two years ago. Kelly, how are you?

Kelly: I'm fine. I guess I'll leave you two alone... I'll just find another way to get a title shot...

Katie: Wait, Kelly. First off, I never want to be alone with Caldwell if I can possibly help it, and secondly, about this title petition of yours. Last week, you made a deal with Caldwell here to participate in some Lingerie Battle...

Caldwell: Negligee Stuffed Animal War! And when David Caldwell Sports Entertainment makes its official debut, you're going to be seeing a lot more of it in the ladies' division.

Katie: Anyway, the deal was if Kelly won, she got her title shot. Caldwell, you never clearly defined the rules for that match, therefore Kelly had no way of knowing just how she was supposed to win. So I've gone ahead and taken the liberty of striking that entire match from the record books. Therefore, your deal is null and void. Kelly, you are free to seek your title shot from Shadow.

(Kelly claps with delight and gives Katie a hug.)

Kelly: Thank you, Ms. Piehl!

(She exits the office as Katie walks over to Caldwell.)

Katie: Now get out of my chair.

Caldwell: (stands up) You just wait until after next week, Katie. I'll have control of this entire promotion soon. Nothing you can do is going to stop me.

(In a hallway, Nykk and Lisa Letty are having a conversation.)

Nykk: Yeah, so I didn't get the shot at the Toughman Title. But the Six Man Apocalypse is back, and that means I have another shot at winning. You remember how close I came last time.

Lisa: I remember you making it all the way to the final two. I was so proud of you. And you have the chance at a better draw this time, so maybe you won't have to be in the match nearly as long.

Nykk: Anything that gets me that title shot at the MECCA Challenge. But I'm glad it's not until the MECCA Challenge, because that means I have the chance to get my hands on Danielson. But what did the doctor say about your knee?

Lisa: I should be ready to go by my next match in the World Cup, but I need to take it easy until then. And if I encounter Rebecca Knox again, she'd better pray that karma doesn't backhand her across the face. Because I will do everything in my power to make sure that she gets injured legitimately this time.

Nykk: You're starting to sound like me.

Lisa: I've been learning from the best.

Nykk: Come on, let's go get a good spot to watch the main event. Whoever wins is going to be a double champion, which means double the pressure, which will make it all that much easier for me.

(They walk away, hand in hand.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)

Skippy: We're back at Night of Champions, and we found out earlier tonight that this match will be the first ever title for title match in MECCA history, and will be conducted under modified Toughman rules.

Dick: Alan Mayse had the best win/loss record of 2006, and it shows because he still has the gold he won back on April 29 at the MECCA Challenge II. He's done everything he can to try and make the Toughman Title mean as much as the World Title.

("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)

Skippy: Eddie Crowe made the MECCA Championship into a World Title, but tonight he may face his toughest challenge to date. We'll find out just which champion is better here in St. Louis.

Dick: The fans are in for a real treat tonight, as this should be the hardest fought contest in some time, as it's not just titles on the line, but pride as well.

Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, this is contest is your main event here at Night of Champions! This bout is for the MECCA Toughman Championship, and the MECCA World Heavyweight Championship! The rules are as follows: there are absolutely no count-outs. Closed fist strikes are allowed. Rope breaks will be enforced, and both titles can only change hands on a pinfall or submission. Introducing first... from Dayton, Ohio... weighing in at 228 lbs... he is the current MECCA Toughman Champion... Alaaaaan Maaaayse! His opponent... from Bellbrook, Ohio, and weighing in at 195 lbs... he is the current reigning and defending MECCA World Heavyweight Champion... Eddieeeee Crooooowe!

(FINISH: Eddie goes for the Eddie Dive, and Alan gets his knees up. Eddie sees it coming and lands on his feet. He brings Alan to his feet and hits the running brainbuster, covering for a two count. He goes for a back suplex, but Alan counters into a headscissors. He catches Eddie with an exploder and covers for a two count. He goes for the Tiger Bomb, but Eddie counters into a sunset flip for another two count. Alan rolls out of it and rolls Eddie up with a folding press for a two count. Eddie rolls backwards and then crawls beneath Alan's legs to run for the ropes, but Alan catches him with a waistlock and rolls him up coming off the ropes. He bridges, but Eddie hooks his arms and pins them to the mat. However, his shoulders are down as well, and the ref counts a double pin.)

Winner: Double Pin

Skippy: I don't believe it! These two are so evenly matched that even after they through everything they had at each other, they managed to pin each others' shoulders at the exact same time!

Dick: That means they get to keep their respective titles, and now Alan will go on to Bloody Valentine to defend against Joey Sprinklers, and Eddie will defend against either Ronin Fox or Cynric.

(Alan and Eddie both protest the count, saying that their own shoulders were up. The ref doesn't budge, and finally Eddie and Alan shake hands reluctantly.)

Skippy: A nice show of sportsmanship, but nothing has been settled in this competitive rivalry. Please join us again next week, fans, as we count down to Bloody Valentine and the Six Man Apocalypse!
