("Neocon" opening.)
David: We are here in Cleveland, Ohio, and MECCA presents another edition of Go Time right here on FSN! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and we have a lot to do before Snowed In this Saturday, where we will see Anubis challenge Eddie Crowe for the World Title, the Pyro Twins vs. the CDT, two first round matches from the Women's World Cup including the debut of the legendary Mariko Yoshida, and much more. But tonight, the Pyro Twins will attempt to get some payback on the Backseat Boyz, as these two teams will meet in tag team action!
Dick: We'll also have two first round matches from the Women's World Cup, as Lisa Letty will take on Rebecca Knox and Zoe Alexander takes on Fabi Apache.
David: We'll also have the in-ring return of the UK Wrecking Crew and much more to come!
("Edge of Seventeen" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring.)
David: If there is anyone who could represent the United States in this tournament hosted by MECCA, it is certainly the First Lady of MECCA. A two-time Ladies' Champion, Lisa Letty has been here for just about every high and low.
Dick: Lisa is one of the favorites in this tournament, and she's stated that she is going all the way to the finals.
("Shadows of the Night" by Pat Benatar hits and Rebecca Knox makes her way to the ring.)
David: Rebecca Knox out of Ireland comes here with a lot of hype surrounding her. She's an expert at technical and chain wrestling, and at only 20 years of age, she has accomplished quite a lot all around the world.
Dick: She's definitely one hell of a wrestler, and I can't wait to see how far she can go here in MECCA.
(FINISH: Lisa gives Knox a monkey flip out of the corner. Though Knox lands on her feet, she immediately collapses, holding her right knee and screaming in agony. Lisa moves in, but referee Rya Zeh holds her back while she checks on Rebecca. Eventually, Rya calls for officials to come out, and they rush to the ring to help Knox. Lisa shows some concern, and even holds the middle and bottom rope open for her as she's being helped from the ring. However, Knox suddenly pushes the officials away and charges Lisa, kneeing her in the head. Lisa falls to the outside, getting her leg tangled in the ropes on the way down and hurting her own knee. Knox taunts the fans with some jumping jacks and then exits the ring. She slams Lisa's leg into the guardrail and kicks away at her knee. When Zeh and the fans protest, she starts screeching at them. She rolls Lisa back into the ring and kicks at the knee some more. She applies a figure-four, but Lisa makes it to the ropes. Knox picks her up, but Lisa starts firing back with forearms. She whips Knox into the ropes, and then tries a leapfrog, but she tweaks her knee again. Knox clips Lisa's knee and applies a single leg crab. Eventually, the pain is too much and Lisa taps out.)
Winner: Rebecca Knox
David: We have seen an upset right here on Go Time, as we all thought Rebecca Knox was done in this match, but she was just faking that knee injury the whole time!
Dick: Nobody saw that coming, least of all Lisa. She was tricked right here tonight.
David: What a dastardly way to gain the advantage, and now it may be Lisa who's in need of medical attention, as she has been knocked out of the upper brackets right from the get-go in the Women's World Cup.
(Rebecca taunts the fans as Lisa is helped to the back.)
(Backstage, David Caldwell is walking down the hall. He sees Bryan Danielson drinking some coffee by the catering table.)
Caldwell: Danielson!
Danielson: What do you want?
Caldwell: Last week, you had an opportunity. The opportunity to walk away when Katie Piehl was looking for members for Team MECCA. You didn't owe her anything. You've gotten two title shots since you've been here...
Danielson: Three. I was in the Round Robin to crown the first MECCA Champion, remember?
Caldwell: Fine, you're the man. You're the big-time technical wrestler, the best in the world. But in my world, you're overrated, Danielson. You're too small to be a headliner. You don't have the personality necessary to main event any sports entertainment company. Wrestling ability will only get you so far after all. And would it kill you to go to a tanning salon once in a while? I mean, my god...
Danielson: Is there something you wanted?
Caldwell: My point is, you're going to pay for siding with Katie Piehl last week, because as far as I'm concerned, you're now the enemy. And against my better judgment, I'm going to give you a chance to face a real headliner tonight. Because you're going to go one on one with my personal bouncer, Kishi Fatu. What do you think about that?
Danielson: Look, just because I don't stick needles into my ass to inflate myself to the size that you like, just because I don't spend hours inside of a tanning booth wearing a speedo and goggles, just because I don't wrestle a certain way, doesn't mean that I can't headline. I've done it here, and I've done it elsewhere. I don't carry myself to anyone's tune. Not you, not Katie Piehl, not Corporate America. I'm the best wrestler in the world, and tonight Kishi Fatu will find out the hard way that just because he made big bucks dancing and sticking his butt in people's faces, it doesn't mean he's better than me. Tonight, he's in for a rude awakening.
(Danielson walks away.)
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Cool" hits and the Human Tornado and Delirious make their way to the ring.)
David: We're back on Go Time, and as we saw before the break, David Caldwell just made Bryan Danielson vs. Kishi Fatu for later tonight, and we understand that will be the main event tonight. But right now we're ready for tag team action, as Delirious and the Human Tornado desperately need a victory in the tag team division.
Dick: You would think that two weirdoes like these couldn't help but work as a team, but so far they've had little success.
("Problems" hits and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring.)
David: We saw Nathans and Fletcher return backstage last week, and they revealed that they have been cleared to wrestle. Of course, we haven't seen them since they lost that Ring of Fire Match to the Pyro Twins back at Scared Stiff on October 28.
Dick: They took a couple of months off to heal their burns, and now they're back and they look ready to compete.
(FINISH: Delirious hits Nathans with Shadows Over Hell, but Fletcher breaks up the pin attempt. He whips Delirious into the ropes, but Delirious slides in between his legs as Tornado tries a kick. Fletcher throws his foot away, and Tornado goes for a spinning wheel kick, but Fletcher ducks and Tornado hits Delirious by mistake. Nathans clotheslines Delirious through the ropes as Fletcher gives Tornado an inverted atomic drop. Nathans gives Tornado a gourdbuster, and then the UKWC hit the Wrecking Ball. Nathans covers and gets the three count.)
Winners: The UK Wrecking Crew
David: A successful return for the UK Wrecking Crew, who will now look to climb the tag team ranks.
Dick: But it looks like they're coming back to make a statement.
(They continue to beat on Delirious and Tornado until Tristan Lee makes his way to the ring. The UK Wrecking Crew stops momentarily, but then Tristan Lee clotheslines Tornado and picks Delirious up, giving him the Degenerate Driver. Nathans and Fletcher stomp on Tornado until he rolls out of the ring, and Tristan embraces both of them. They raise their arms into the air as the UKWC's music plays.)
David: The newcomer Tristan Lee has taken to heart what the UKWC said last week. They wanted him by their side, and they've got it.
Dick: We could be seeing the beginning of a new force here in MECCA, as it looks like Nathans and Fletcher have taken a page out of the book of their rivals the EDJ.
(Backstage, Nykk is crouched down next to Lisa Letty, who is sitting in a chair and has her leg propped up on another chair. She has an icepack on her knee.)
Nykk: Are you sure you're okay? Can I get you anything?
Lisa: Thanks, but I'm fine. The doctor said there was no lasting damage. If anything, my pride was hurt the worst. I mean, I'm proud of being the female face of MECCA, and I just got knocked out in the first round of the Women's World Cup by some 20 year old punk from Ireland? If she wants to fight dirty, just wait until the next time I get her in the ring.
Nykk: Hey, you were just knocked down, not out. You've still got another chance to win this thing. Now we know so far you're going up against Coquette and Sumie Sakai, and whoever else loses tonight...
(Nykk is cut off when Kishi Fatu attacks him from behind. Lisa screams and hobbles away from the fight as Kishi rams Nykk into some crates. He punches Nykk repeatedly in the head and then drops all his weight down across his chest. As Nykk gasps for breath, David Caldwell walks up.)
Caldwell: Nykk, don't think I'm letting you get away with the part you played last week either, or for ruining the finals of my Bikini Quest! Danielson may have Kishi tonight, but at Snowed In, you're going one on one with the big man here. And after he's put you out of action, you can sit back and watch as I take over your creation!
(Kishi gets up and Nykk gasps for air. He and Caldwell walk away, and Lisa crawls over to comfort Nykk.)
Lisa: We need some help!
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Sweet Dreams" hits and the CDT make their way to the ring, along with David Caldwell.)
David: I'm sure Caldwell is real proud of himself after what we saw before the break, having Kishi attack Nykk as he was tending to his injured girlfriend. But he also dropped the announcement that at Snowed In in three days, it will be Nykk vs. Kishi one on one.
Dick: Now he's out here with the challengers for the tag titles. The CDT won this opportunity by surviving a Four Corners tag match back at New Year's Knockout.
("Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)
David: You know that Anubis is excited for Snowed In, because when MECCA returns to Dayton, it will be he who challenges Eddie Crowe for the MECCA Championship, thanks to his Wild Card Battle Royale win back at Scared Stiff.
Dick: It's easy to see Caldwell's transparent plan. He chose tonight for the CDT to challenge for the belts because he knows that Anubis's attention is divided right now.
(FINISH: The CDT go for the Nocturnal Emission on Wolf, but Anubis catches CB with a spinebuster, and Wolf escapes the clutches of Dreamo. He ducks as Anubis sails over his head to hit Dreamo with the Ankh Smash. Wolf places CB on the top rope as Anubis climbs the adjacent corner. They hit the Dog Catcher, and Anubis covers for the three count.)
Winners: The Killer Kanines
David: The Killer Kanines pull off another successful title defense, and Caldwell has to be upset because his team just blew it again.
Dick: For all his talk and bluster, Caldwell's guys do not get very good results. Could Team MECCA's win have broken the David Caldwell Project's spirit last week?
David: I don't know, but if that's the case then more power to us. Up next, the Women's World Cup continues its first round as Zoe Alexander takes on Fabi Apache!
(The Wild Wolf gets the mic.)
Wolf: Hold on a minute. Before we get out of here, I have one piece of business to take care of. Caldwell, a few weeks ago you bumped my Toughman Title match with Alan Mayse, and needless to say, I didn't appreciate it. But that means I have a title shot still pending, and with my partner going for the World Title this Saturday in Dayton, it's only fitting that I get my title shot at Snowed In as well. So Alan Mayse, meet me in the ring this Saturday, and bring the belt, because just like you and Eddie Crowe had all the belts back in November, it's our turn now. The Killer Kanines are going to become the golden team here in MECCA!
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "She Bangs" by Ricky Martin hits and Fabi Apache makes her way to the ring.)
David: We continue with the Women's World Cup, and the international female star Fabi Apache out of Mexico is set to make her MECCA debut. What can you tell us about Fabi Apache, Dick?
Dick: Fabi comes from a wrestling family as her father, twin sister and step-mother are all accomplished luchadores, and as a matter of fact, one of her trainers is another participant in this Women's World Cup, Mariko Yoshida.
("TKO" hits and Zoe Alexander makes her way to the ring.)
David: Though she has aligned herself with the David Caldwell Project, Zoe Alexander still wanted to compete and represent the US in this tournament.
Dick: Caldwell pulled some strings and it's no secret that she got this spot at the expense of Kelly Schweickart, who was none too happy about being bumped out of this tournament.
(FINISH: Fabi kicks Zoe and grabs her arm. She climbs the ropes and hits a twisting armdrag, sending Zoe rolling to the floor. Fabi hits a tornilla suicida, and then rolls Zoe back in. She goes up and tries a moonsault, but Zoe gets her knees up. She gives Fabi a drop toehold into the second turnbuckle and then gives her the Zoetrope, covering for the three count.)
Winner: Zoe Alexander
David: Zoe picks up the victory, becoming the second US competitor to advance, just as Daizee Haze did last week. Fabi will now drop to the lower brackets, where we now know the do or die Four Corners Match will be her vs. Lisa Letty vs. Coquette vs. Sumie Sakai.
Dick: We're down to one more Mexican competitor in the upper brackets, as we will see Princess Sugey compete later in this tournament.
(Backstage, Matt Sydal enters the locker room and finds Joey Sprinklers leaning against the lockers waiting for him.)
Sydal: Hey, Joey.
Joey: Matt, we need ta talk.
Sydal: Oh yeah?
Joey: Listen, I just took a look at the win/loss records for 2006, and ya know who's came in last? Me and you.
Sydal: I know, Joey, but it's a new year, and...
(Joey shakes his head.)
Joey: This isn't workin', Matt. I've been on a losing landslide before, and that's not happenin' again. This is over. S-Squared is done. I'm not gonna abandon you in the middle of a match, and I'm not trowin' ya through a plate glass window. I'm tellin' ya right to your pretty boy face. I can't stand the sight of you anymore, and I'm gettin' out while the gettin's good. See ya's.
(Joey brushes past Sydal and exits the locker room. Sydal sighs, and looks a little hurt.)
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "The Chase" hits and the Backseat Boyz make their way to the ring.)
David: We're back, and it's time for a big time grudge match, as the Backseat Boyz prepare for their rematch against the Pyro Twins.
Dick: If they can get a win here, they surely have to be looked at as the next challengers for the Killer Kanines' tag titles.
("Burning Times" hits and Dusty Schneble makes his way to the ring.)
David: I see Dusty, but where's Jay at? We're supposed to have the Pyro Twins in action, but Jay's nowhere in sight.)
(Dusty gets a mic.)
Dusty: I'm sorry to have to do this to you fans, but unfortunately Jay was assaulted as he was leaving the hotel earlier this morning, and suspiciously enough, he said it was oddly reminiscent of the beating we received at your hands in November, Kashmere and Acid. He'll be ready for this Saturday, but Katie Piehl thought it best that we keep him out of action tonight, but don't worry, I've got the very ideal replacement.
("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: It looks like Jay's brother Eddie, the MECCA World Champion, is going to aid his best friend Dusty tonight, but that's a shame about Jay, but at least he won't be out of action long.
Dick: You can't get a better replacement than the MECCA World Champion, and Eddie definitely has no love lost for Trent Acid.
(FINISH: The Killer Kanines make their way to ringside as Eddie hits a charging dropkick on Acid. Wolf argues with the ref as Anubis trips Dusty from the outside. Dusty turns his attention to Anubis, but gets attacked from behind by Kashmere. Eddie sails through the ropes with a plancha onto Anubis and starts hitting him with rights, as Kashmere counters a Rope Burn into a victory roll, getting the three count.)
Winners: The Backseat Boyz
David: The Backseats just stole one as Eddie lost his temper and went out to fight with his opponent this Saturday, Anubis.
Dick: Anubis is definitely trying to get into Eddie's head, but Eddie isn't backing down from the big Egyptian.
David: Up next is our main event, as Bryan Danielson takes on Kishi Fatu. We'll be right back!
(Backstage, the Human Tornado and Delirious come across Katie's office. They knock and go in to find Katie sitting at her desk.)
Katie: What can I do for you gentlemen?
Tornado: What up, boss lady? Listen, we wanted a...
Delirious: Bahalabaehbaa UK Wrecking Crew labahabaroo bop bop bop bop rhaba haba (English accent) my word, drabahaba esh!
Tornado: What he's trying to say is we want the UK Wrecking Crew... all three of them. You saw what they did earlier. We can't let them get away with embarrassing us.
Delirious: Fo' shizzle, bah!
Katie: Say no more. No, really, say no more, please. You want Nathans, Fletcher and Lee, you've got them. I have a spot open this Saturday at Snowed In, but you'll have to find a partner first.
Tornado: No problem. Thanks, boss lady!
(He and Delirious exit the office.)
Tornado: D-Lizzle, who should be our partner, dawg?
(Delirious accosts a student from the MECCA Training Camp who passes by.)
Delirious: Dabahabaleleah realaaba bah, bah, bah, H-Tizzle, D-Lizzle, U-izzle!
(The student flees in terror.)
Tornado: Let's keep going. We're bound to find somebody.
(They pass the men's room, and find Matt Sydal leaning against the wall, looking a little depressed.)
Tornado: Hey, Matt, what up?
Sydal: Hey, guys.
Tornado: Listen, we need a partner so we can get revenge on the UK Wrecking Crew at Snowed In. I'm sorry to hear about you and Joey, but here's a chance for you to move on. What do you say, dawg?
Sydal: You know what? I don't need Joey.
Tornado: That's right!
Sydal: All the guy ever did was hold me back.
Tornado: Preach on, brother!
Sydal: And Joey's not on the show this weekend. This is my chance to shine. I'm in, guys!
(He holds out his hand, and Tornado puts one of his on top of it. They look expectantly at Delirious, and he gives his hand a good lick and tries to put it on top of theirs, but they pull their hands away, disgusted.)
(In the arena, David Mills and Dick Broccoli are at the broadcast booth.)
David: How about that, a six-man tag scheduled for Snowed In this Saturday as The UK Wrecking Crew and their new ally Tristan Lee will take on Delirious, the Human Tornado and Matt Sydal.
Dick: What a fast paced encounter that's likely to be, but that's not all, as we just found out earlier that Kishi Fatu will go one on one with Nykk, and speaking of the David Caldwell Project, the CDT will take on the Pyro Twins.
David: And the Wild Wolf will be challenging for the Toughman Title as he was supposed to do a few weeks ago, as he takes on Alan Mayse.
Dick: Plus, two more first round matches in the Women's World Cup as Sara Del Rey takes on Blue Nikita, and MECCA's own Gail Kim goes one on one with Japanese legend Mariko Yoshida.
David: And in the main event, it will be the MECCA World Champion Eddie Crowe defending his title against the other half of the tag champs, Anubis, who won this title opportunity back at Scared Stiff in the Wild Card Battle Royale. Snowed In is descending upon us as quickly and heavily as a blizzard, and we invite you all to join us this Saturday on FSN!
(In the arena, "Afternoon Delight" hits and Kishi Fatu makes his way to the ring, along with David Caldwell.)
David: It's time for the main event, as David Caldwell leads his bouncer to the ring. We saw Kishi attack Nykk earlier, as payback from Caldwell for the role he played last week as well as his part in disrupting the Bikini Quest.
Dick: Kishi is definitely Caldwell's problem solver, but he's yet to really be tested in a MECCA ring. Tonight's match, however, will be a true test for him.
("The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring.)
David: Caldwell was upset that Danielson joined Team MECCA last week, and was responsible for getting the victory over the David Caldwell Project.
Dick: Caldwell says that he thinks Danielson is overrated, and that he just doesn't have the stuff to headline a wrestling show, and Dragon took exception to that. He's ready to prove himself right here.
(FINISH: Danielson goes for Cattle Mutilation, but Kishi gives him a butt bump and then whips him into the corner. He hits a reverse avalanche, and Danielson falls. Kishi goes for the Stinkface, but Danielson plants both his feet on Kish's rear end to keep him away. Kishi turns and kicks Danielson in the face instead. He bounces off the ropes and slams his ass into Danielson's face at full speed. He picks Danielson up and goes for the Kishi Driver, but Danielson starts hitting him with elbows. Kishi falls to his knees, and Danielson continues to hammer away with elbows. As a last desperation move, Kishi headbutts Danielson and whips him into the corner and charges. Danielson tips up and over, but Kishi catches him with a savate kick. He drags Danielson over and goes up for the Rumpshaker, but Nykk runs out and enters the ring. He gives Kishi a low blow, causing the ref to call for the bell as Nykk hammers away on Kishi.)
Winner: Kishi Fatu
David: Kishi was just attacked by his opponent this Saturday, and Nykk just cost Danielson this match!
Dick: Nykk is hot after what transpired earlier, and he's not going to wait until Snowed In!
(Nykk and Kishi hammer away on each other, and Nykk bounces off the ropes to hit a leg lariat that stuns Kishi. Nykk bounces off the ropes again and gives him a running back elbow that sends him through the ropes. Caldwell holds Kishi back, and they make their retreat. As Nykk watches them go, Danielson gets to his feet. He turns Nykk around and shoves him.)
David: Wait a minute, what's going on here?
Dick: Danielson is upset, because not only did Nykk just cost him the victory, he cost Danielson his spot on the Contender Star!
(Nykk gets in Danielson's face as officials come out to separate the two.)
David: Nykk and Danielson have turned on each other, but it will be Nykk vs. Kishi this Saturday. Thank you for joining us, fans, and we'll see you at Snowed In!
