Quick Rundown Results:
Heather Star and LuFisto b. Misery and Coquette
Matt Stryker b. Concession Boy
EDJ b. Dreamo/Stage One
("Neocon" opening.)
David: We are here in Cleveland, Ohio, as MECCA presents Go Time, coming to as always on FSN! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and the championship series starts tonight. Two singles matches, with two titles on the line. First up, Alan Mayse defends the Toughman Title against Ronin Fox. Then in the main event, Eddie Crowe defends his World Title against Cynric!
Dick: What matches those should be, and also we crown a new number one contender for the Ladies' Title tonight, as Kelly Schweickart, LuFisto and Gail Kim meet in a Triangle Match for a shot at Shadow.
David: We've also got the return of Nykk to MECCA competition, and that's happening right now!
("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)
David: Nykk has been gone from MECCA since he sold his share of the company to David Caldwell, and he left to take care of his girlfriend Lisa Letty after she was very nearly paralyzed at the hands of Ronin Fox.
Dick: Lisa Letty is currently in recovery and should be returning soon, and so Nykk made his return at Scared Stiff, going after Ronin Fox and just like that, the war is back on.
("Still More Fighting" hits and Ryan Saito makes his way to the ring, along with David Caldwell.)
David: One half of Stage One will be Nykk's opponent tonight, Ryan Saito. And look at Nykk stare a hole through David Caldwell. Somehow I don't think that he divulged this sports entertainment plan of his to Nykk when he agreed to sell his share of the company to him.
Dick: Nykk is firmly on the side of professional wrestling through and through, and I think Saito may learn that the hard way right here tonight.
(FINISH: Nykk goes for Howling Moon I, but Saito flips out of it and dropkicks Nykk into the corner. He lifts Nykk into a fireman's carry for Go to Sleep, but Nykk lands on his feet and catches the leg, turning it into a dragon screw legwhip. He applies the Cedarleaf, and Saito taps out.)
Winner: Nykk
David: Nykk made his return a successful one, and Caldwell looks a little disappointed. I think he expected more out of the other half of Stage One after Jamie Chan upset Low Ki a month ago.
Dick: Nykk is one of the finest grapplers to come along in quite some time, and the standard version of the Cedarleaf was enough to make Saito call it quits. But you know that his mind is really on Ronin Fox, even as his heart is at home with Lisa Letty.
(Nykk gets a mic.)
Nykk: Caldwell, I'll deal with you later. I may be a little distracted right now, but even though I'm only a competitor, I've got an ally in the back named Katie Piehl, and we will be damned before we let you turn this promotion into some kind of circus! But for now, Ronin Fox... a little over two months ago, you took out the love of my life. You temporarily... paralyzed her. Now she's sitting at home, and if I know her, crying her eyes out because she can't be here to compete, just like she's been doing every week for the past two months when Go Time comes on. And I know you've been going around saying that what happened wasn't your fault, it was a mistake... but I'll tell you what, Fox, a real man owns up to his mistakes, and Lisa has yet to even receive an apology out of your insincere mouth. But you're right, it's not your fault... it's mine. I dragged Lisa into our fight, and she ended up paying the price. I'll tell you one other thing... I meant what I said when I said that I'm coming to do the same to you. I'm coming to end your career for good this time, Fox, no more messing around. You see, while I've changed since the days when I tried to break your neck just for fun, you seemed to have picked up where I left off. And I owe it to myself, Lisa and the rest of the MECCA competitors to end you before you can hurt anyone else. And so it comes to me that we have No Regrets coming up... and it happens to be in perhaps professional wrestling's most famous city, Philadelphia. And when I was thinking about what kind of match I would like to have you in, it came to me that there is one match that we've never had here in MECCA. Because there has never been a hatred that's burned enough, a hatred that had to come to this to conceivably allow for this kind of match. And on November 25, Fox, I want to bring that match to MECCA and debut it the right way in front of Philadelphia's hardcore fans. So at No Regrets, Fox, I'm challenging you to step into fifteen feet of steel. I'm challenging you to meet me inside of a steel cage!
David: Whoa! The ultimate grudge match in MECCA?
Nykk: So I want you to come out here and accept this challenge right now, Fox. Be a man for once, and own up to what you did.
(Nykk paces back and forth in the ring, but Fox doesn't come out.)
David: I don't think Fox is about to come out here and get anywhere near Nykk.
Dick: He's probably preparing for his match with Alan Mayse later.
Nykk: If I have to come back there, I promise you, Fox, if I find you, you're a dead man.
(Fox still doesn't come out, so Nykk gets out of the ring. He reaches under the ring and grabs a trash-masher and stalks to the back.)
David: Nykk is after Ronin Fox, who has a Toughman Title Match later. We'll keep you updated if anything should occur in the back, but right now we have to take a break.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring.)
David: We're back here on Go Time as Bryan Danielson makes his way out here to attempt to climb the ladder back to the top of MECCA. Last week, he started his journey by beating one of the MECCA Training Camp graduates, and what disrespect shown by Danielson when he called the kid by a number and didn't even let him use his own name.
Dick: Well, these kids have to pay their dues, earn their stripes, wet their whistles...
David: I've got it, thanks.
(Danielson gets a mic.)
Danielson: A-hem, a-hem... ahem... tonight, I know all you morons expect me to come out here and give you a twenty-minute mat classic. But I'm Bryan Danielson, I'm the best wrestler in the world, and I do what's best for me. And what's best for me is continuing my climb to the MECCA Championship. And I have a set plan to do that, and unfortunately for you people, it doesn't include a competitive match tonight, but what you all like to call a "squash." This week my opponent's just a little bit tougher and more experienced than my one last week, but that's not saying much. He came over here from England to train at the MECCA Training Camp and recently managed to secure a spot on the MECCA roster. He is the younger brother of Austin Lee, and is making his debut tonight... Tristan Lee!
("Ballroom Blitz" by Sweet hits and Tristan Lee makes his way to the ring.)
David: Well, I didn't expect to see the debut of this kid right here tonight, but Tristan Lee out of the United Kingdom will be debuting in a big way, against the American Dragon.
Dick: Lee's got his work cut out for him, but if he could manage to pull of an upset, that's instant credibility for his career.
(Danielson offers his hand, and Lee takes it. Danielson tries to nail him with a forearm, but Lee ducks and hits Danielson with some chops as the bell rings, only to eat a European uppercut as he comes off the ropes.)
(FINISH: Lee manages to get some minimal offense in on Danielson as he whips him into the corner and hits him with a step up enzugiri. He jumps to the top rope and vaults off backwards with a high cross body, but Danielson drops to one knee to hit a modified gutbuster. He gets on top and starts drilling Lee's head with elbows, but Lee escapes and kicks Danielson in the face. He bounces off the ropes, but Danielson slips behind him and hits a tiger suplex. Lee kicks out at two, but Danielson holds on and turns it into Cattle Mutilation. After a few moments, Lee taps out.)
Winner: Bryan Danielson
David: Tristan Lee gave it his best shot, but he really didn't stand any chance against the likes of Bryan Danielson in his debut match.
Dick: I'm sure we'll be seeing more of this kid, and I look forward to seeing what he can accomplish in MECCA.
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with the Killer Kanines.)
Bill: I'm here with the Wild Wolf and Anubis, and guys, you've had a successful couple of months as you have mowed through the tag team division here in MECCA, and back at Scared Stiff, Anubis, you won the Wild Card Battle Royale, earning you a title match at anytime you wish to take it.
Wolf: Bill Bicknell, you are absolutely correct. The Killer Kanines, we are a team, and we are united with one goal and that's to be the MECCA Tag Team Champions. But for some reason, we've only been granted one shot at the belts in the year we've been here in MECCA. But that's about to change, because Anubis has a guaranteed title shot. And he may need to use it eventually, but it won't be right now. Because we have been so dominant over the last couple of months that we're on the cusp of earning another title shot just based off our own work. And next week, we'll see that championship series match, as Alan Mayse and Eddie Crowe take on Ronin Fox and Cynric. And you can rest assured, we'll be watching that match very closely, because whoever wins that match has to step in our doghouse. And when that happens, brothers may bond, champions may shine, but Kanines will kill.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Did My Time" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring, looking over his shoulder.)
David: We're back with one half of our championship series for tonight, as Ronin Fox looks to challenge for the Toughman Title.
Dick: But Fox is a little distracted right now, as Nykk is looking for him to accept his steel cage challenge for No Regrets, but Fox is avoiding him like the plague.
David: Nykk is intent on crippling Fox, and has that same trash-masher that Fox put down Lisa Letty with back in August. It actually may be safer in the ring for him for once than in the back.
("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)
David: Alan Mayse is determined to prove that the Toughman Title is just as prestigious, if not more, than the World Title. He's done this by accepting challenges from all comers and even seeking out MECCA's top stars and those from beyond to add to the prestige of his belt. Tonight is no different as Mayse gets the man who challenged for the World Title back at Scared Stiff, and one half of the tag champs, Ronin Fox.
Dick: Regardless of the outcome of this match, Alan gets a shot at Fox's title next week, the very belts that Alan was chasing last year here in MECCA with three different partners. Ironically, two of which are now our MECCA Tag Team Champions.
(FINISH: Alan goes for the Tiger Bomb, but Fox gives him a hurricanrana into the corner. Fox goes for the Tail End, but Alan crotches him on the top turnbuckle. He goes up for the top rope Tiger Bomb, but Fox fights out of it. He goes for a sunset powerbomb, but Alan counters with a hurricanrana of his own and follows up with an exploder suplex, dropping Fox right on his head. Alan hits a running knee strike to the head, and Fox is woozy. Alan bounces off the ropes again, but Fox leaps to the top rope and goes for the Fox Fire. Alan catches him and drops him face first onto the top turnbuckle. He bounces off the ropes and flips Fox with a running kick to the head. Fox is knocked out, and the ref checks on him before calling for the bell.)
Winner: Alan Mayse
David: Alan has just knocked out Fox and ended this match, and will remain MECCA Toughman Champion!
Dick: Fox just could not stand up to Alan's strikes, which he has perfected during his months as Toughman Champion.
(As Alan leaves, Nykk makes his way down with the trash-masher. He gets in the ring and stands over Fox's prone body. However, as he chases the ref off, Cynric runs down and drags Fox out of the ring. He throws him over his shoulder and hightails it to the back, with Nykk in pursuit.)
David: Nykk is out here to end Fox, but Cynric is looking after his brother and the chase is on!
Dick: You can't beat on an unconscious man, Nykk! Somebody has to stop him, David.
David: You stop him. I'm just announcing our next commercial break. When we come back, David Caldwell will have the big announcement for the ladies' division that he promised last week.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Afternoon Delight" hits and David Caldwell makes his way to the ring, along with the CDT and Medea Knight.)
David: The David Caldwell Project is in the arena, and last week David Caldwell promised us something big for the ladies of MECCA before his guy Huh lost to John Walters. The CDT is here because after this announcement, they'll be taking on Walters and his partner Matt Stryker.
Dick: Caldwell may want to make MECCA into David Caldwell Sports Entertainment, but he's going to have to do a lot better than having his "entertainers" lose to MECCA's real wrestlers.
(Caldwell gets a mic.)
Caldwell: It's what you've been waiting for, ladies and gentlemen! The most entertaining part of this show, the David Caldwell Project, is here and we're running things right now! Now, last week I said I had an announcement concerning the ladies' division of MECCA, and I will now deliver...
("I've Got the Power" hits and Katie Piehl makes her way to ringside with a mic in hand.)
Katie: Whoa, whoa, whoa, Caldwell. First off, I don't know how you found out about this, but you are not spoiling this for our fans. This announcement can't be made until a few weeks from now.
Caldwell: I have no idea what you're talking about, Katie. I didn't overhear anything, and you're not about to take credit for this ingenious idea! Because a few weeks ago, I noticed that not only are our women, or "starlets" as I've been having a yen to call them... not only are they great athletes for a bunch of women, but they are also very beautiful. And it hits me... the average wrestling fan is a sexually repressed, perverted virgin and we have the opportunity to capitalize on that right at our disposal! In a couple of weeks, the ladies of MECCA and a few others that I have personally auditioned, will compete in the inaugural Bikini Quest! This contest will be elimination style, in which our starlets will compete a number of contests over the course of the next month. Every week, you the fans will vote off the starlet you find least impressive until only one is left standing. The starlet who wins will not only be granted the prize money of $10,000 but will also win an all expense paid trip to Hawaii, and of course since this is a company sponsored contest, I will be the MECCA representative going as well. So I urge you all to tune in, because the Bikini Quest starts in two weeks, and will be hosted by yours truly! Which starlet will come out on top?
(Katie looks like she's about to vomit and just leaves without saying a word.)
David: You can say starlet all you want, Caldwell, it's not getting over with this crowd. Haven't we seen this somewhere before? No true fan wants to see this kind of thing on a wrestling show. That's what we have Playboy for. That's what we have the Internet for, and you can bet that all of those things will be better done than whatever David Caldwell puts together. And how demeaning to expect the lady competitors of MECCA to be in this thing, after all the hard work they've done earning respect for women's wrestling over the years.
("Body Bomb" hits and the Surgeons make their way to the ring.)
David: Well, thankfully we're back to wrestling, the reason you fans are watching this program, as the Surgeons will take on the CDT, who sneak attacked them back at At Your Own Risk en route to joining the David Caldwell Project.
Dick: Stryker and Walters are two guys who are not amused by the antics of our co-owner. They would love to tear him and the CDT apart tonight.
(FINISH: The CDT go for the Nocturnal Emission on Walters, but Stryker gets under CB and puts him on his shoulders as Walters counters Dreamo with a DDT. The Surgeons give CB the Human Error and Walters covers, but Stage One runs out and attacks the Surgeons, forcing the ref to call for the bell.)
Winners: The Surgeons
David: The CDT have been disqualified, but now the numbers game is being played once again on the Surgeons!
Dick: This war between the Surgeons and Stage One has to end sometime, as the Surgeons will not be able to withstand more of these sneak attacks.
(Stage One hit Stage Completed on Walters as the CDT give Stryker the Nocturnal Emission. Caldwell enters the ring and starts slapping the Surgeons in their heads as "Afternoon Delight" plays.)
David: Can we get these morons out of here, please? We've got a lot more to come, as Eddie Crowe defends the World Title against Cynric, and a number one contenders' match for the Ladies' Title coming up next!
(Backstage, Katie Piehl is in her office with Kelly Schweickart, LuFisto, Daizee Haze, Gail Kim, Misery, Coquette and Heather Star. They're all complaining to her.)
Katie: Ladies, ladies, I get what you're saying. Believe me, I don't like this Bikini Quest stuff any more than you do. But Caldwell, like it or not, is part owner and has the right to do this if that's what he wants. However, I will certainly not force our lady WRESTLERS to put up with this garbage, and none of you have to enter this stupid contest if you don't want to.
Kelly: But Katie, how can we just stand by and let this happen? This is not only degrading to women in general, but it creates the wrong perception about females in MECCA.
Daizee: And what's this about him calling us starlets? We're not starlets, or divas or any other cute little name. We're female wrestlers. That's what we're trained to do, not put on some channel approved cheesecake show for David Caldwell!
Katie: I know what you're saying, girls, but the only thing we can do about our perception right now is to go out there and show the world what the ladies of MECCA are truly about. Kelly, LuFisto, Gail, you have a Triangle Match coming up for the title shot against Shadow at No Regrets. I personally can't wait to see this match, and I know that our fans know what you're all about, and you'll show all the casual fans and channel surfers exactly what you're all about too. Ladies, you know I'm very proud of all of you and the work you do here, and I don't want to see it end anytime soon. Believe me, Caldwell has started something that I'm sure you're going to finish. Now get out there and show us what you've got once again, because it's always been an uphill battle for us women, but everyone loves an underdog, and when our triumph comes, it will be absolute.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "What You Waiting For" hits and LuFisto makes her way to the ring.)
David: We're back with action from the ladies' division here in MECCA, and this is no bra and panties match or mud wrestling, this is female athletes wrestling on an exciting level, despite what Caldwell may want to turn the MECCA ladies' division into.
Dick: And this match will also crown a new number one contender to Shadow's title. She won it from this woman right here, LuFisto, back at Scared Stiff, but LuFisto has yet to receive her rematch, and she'll get it if she can win tonight.
("Brackish" hits and Gail Kim makes her way to the ring.)
David: Gail Kim, the Sensation of Submission, is also a former Ladies' Champion, and held that belt longer than any woman in MECCA history. She's always ready for an opportunity to win that belt back.
Dick: However, she did lose to Shadow last week, so that may throw her off a little bit. But she can't afford to lose any confidence in this environment.
("Take It Off" hits and Kelly Schweickart makes her way to the ring.)
David: Kelly doesn't like this Bikini Quest stuff any more than the rest of the women, especially since she's so close to breaking into the upper echelon, and if Caldwell has his way, all her hard work will be for nothing.
Dick: The ladies plan on showing him exactly what they think of his latest idea by coming out here and wrestling.
(FINISH: LuFisto charges Gail, but gets backdropped to the ring apron. At the same time, Kelly charges Gail, who moves. Kelly smashes into LuFisto, who flies off the apron and hits her head on the guardrail and lies motionless on the floor. Gail goes for the Christo, but Kelly sits out and plants Gail face first into the mat. She hits a standing 450, but as she covers, David Caldwell runs out and gets into the ring. He throws referee Rya Zeh aside and gets the mic as Kelly gets up, wondering what the hell's going on.)
Caldwell: That's about enough of that right there! You women seem to be a little confused as to your place in David Caldwell Sports Entertainment, so allow me to come out here and show you just where you belong. And for all you fans, I ran into some beautiful women in the back, and I want them all to come out here right now so I can give you just a little taste, a little preview, of the Bikini Quest, which will have its first round in two weeks!
(Some cheesey music plays as some bimbos in bathing suits make their way to the ring. They enter the ring and start dancing with Caldwell.)
David: What in the hell? I'm as much a fan of beautiful ladies as the next guy, but we had a match going on, and what disrespect shown to these athletes by our co-owner.
Dick: Caldwell seems to be enjoying himself, though.
David: This is not even the right time for this. LuFisto's down on the outside, and we may need some help to get her to the back.
(Caldwell tries to get Kelly to join in, but she leaves the ring in disgust and heads toward the back. One of the bimbos tries to get Gail Kim to dance with her, but Gail takes her down with a Fujiwara armbar. The bimbo screams in pain as Caldwell tackles her and motions for officials to come down and pry her off. They do so and escort Gail from the ring.)
Dick: Well, Gail was more than just a little ticked off there, and she actually lashed out at one of Caldwell's "starlets," much to the appreciation of these fans out here.
(Meanwhile, Caldwell nonchalantly kicks the injured woman from the ring and the bimbos resume their dancing.)
David: This may be the most ridiculous sight in Go Time history, but Caldwell had better clear the ring before we come back, because up next the championship series continues with Eddie Crowe vs. Cynric!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Kevin Stone.)
Bill: I'm here with Kevin Stone, the MECCA Monster, and Kevin, I understand you have some big news for No Regrets, coming up in Philadelphia on November 25.
Stone: Bill, for months now Low Ki and I have been dancing around each other, and it was only a matter of time before a match was signed between us. Well, this past weekend, we both signed to meet one on one for No Regrets. At last, Ki, we find out just who the baddest man around here is. And it will happen in Philadelphia, the baddest city in the country. This goes beyond who the better man is, Low Ki. I want to destroy you, and leave no doubt in anyone's mind as to who runs this yard. And I want to embarrass you, for turning your back on me and aligning yourself with my enemies earlier this year. And at No Regrets, I will kill those two birds with one Stone.
(In the arena, "Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)
David: Big news for No Regrets, as Kevin Stone vs. Low Ki has been signed. Nykk has also laid out the challenge for he and Ronin Fox in a Steel Cage Match, but Fox is yet to accept. And we should have another match signed by now, except for the fact that our number one contender ladies' match had no ending.
Dick: But right now, the championship series continues with a World Title opportunity for Cynric. Earlier, Alan Mayse successfully defended his Toughman Title against Fox, and next week those two will put their tag belts on the line against Eddie and Alan.
David: And we also know that there will be no Fox interference in this match, as Cynric sent him from the arena to hide him from Nykk.
("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: Eddie Crowe had a classic against Ronin Fox at Scared Stiff, but there was so much interference in that match that it had to be thrown out. Those two will surely meet again one day, but with no interference tonight it will be nice to see a legitimate title finish.
Dick: Eddie Crowe has held the World Title for over six months now, for the same amount of time as Alan has been Toughman Champion, and both are on their way to becoming the longest reigning champion in company history, and next week they could be the first double champions as well.
Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, this contest is part of the championship series and is for the MECCA World Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, the challenger... from Cincinnati, Ohio, and weighing in at 235 lbs... he is one half of the MECCA Tag Team Champions... Cyyynriiiic! And his opponent... from Bellbrook, Ohio... weighing in at 195 lbs... he is the current reigning and defending MECCA World Heavyweight Champion... Eddiiiiie Croooooowe!
(FINISH: Eddie goes for a running brainbuster, but Cynric knees him in the head and drops back to his feet. Eddie goes to one knee, and Cynric tries the Lift Off. Eddie ducks, but Cynric lands on his feet and hits him in the back of the head with a heel kick. He places Eddie on the top rope and goes for the Shock Cannon, but Eddie wiggles free and counters into a neckbreaker. He goes for the Eddie Dive, but Cynric gets his knees up. Eddie goes for a hurricanrana, but Cynric throws him off. Eddie backflips to his feet and catches the charging Cynric with an inside cradle, getting a quick three count.)
Winner: Eddie Crowe
David: Eddie Crowe takes the victory and retains the title, and now he and Alan get the shot at the tag titles next week against Fox and Cynric!
Dick: What great matches this championship series has been so far, and what a match to conclude it next week.
David: Until then, fans, you can debate amongst yourselves if we'll have the first double champions in MECCA history or not. We'll see you next week here on Go Time!
