Go Time: 10/11/06

Greenville, SC

Quick Rundown Results:
Killer Kanines b. Sprinklers/Delirious
Andy Nathans b. Trent Acid
LuFisto/Schweickart b. Kim/Alexander
Cynric/Danielson b. Mayse/Crowe

("Neocon" opening.)

David: MECCA is continuing is debut in the Deep South, as this week we are coming to you from Greenville, South Carolina, as we present Go Time right here on FSN! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and tonight, two premiere tag teams will go at it as the Surgeons take on the Killer Kanines!

Dick: Also, after last week's title match, Cheesecake feels he was cheated, so Eddie Crowe will grant him a rematch for the title right here tonight.

David: And Kevin Stone will take on Delirious and much more action on Go Time.

("Dance Commander" hits and Heather Star makes her way to the ring.)

David: Of course, one of the staples of MECCA is its ladies' division, and we're bringing competitive women's wrestling back to the Deep South.

Dick: "Heavenly" Heather Star had a disappointing loss last week to Shadow, but she has the chance to make it up as this Four Way Dance is for a shot at the MECCA Ladies' Championship at Scared Stiff.

("Brackish" hits and Gail Kim makes her way to the ring.)

David: Gail Kim is a former Ladies' Champion, and the longest reigning champion to date. She would certainly love another shot at LuFisto, the woman who took the title from her.

Dick: We all remember the brutal I Quit Match these two had with each other back at Summertime Showdown, and Kim is eager to prove that she's still at the forefront here in MECCA.

("Gangsta Bitch" hits and Shadow makes her way to the ring.)

David: Shadow is also a former Ladies' Champ, and has been bitching all day about having to be in this match, since she considers herself the number one contender already.

Dick: She has had a lot of success recently, but apparently the booking committee wanted her to have one more match to prove she's worthy of a title shot.

("Take It Off" hits and Kelly Schweickart makes her way to the ring.)

David: Here comes a competitor who always seems on the cusp of breaking out, Kelly Schweickart. This could be her opportunity to do so.

Dick: Kelly has had a couple of shots at the Ladies' Title before and come up short, but if she wins this match, October 28 could be her night.

(FINISH: The first to be eliminated is Heather Star, who taps out to Kim's stretch muffler. Shadow then manages to knock down Kim with the Interceptor, and Kelly pins her after a Kelly Cyclone. As Kelly goes for a hardway suplex on Shadow, Shadow throws her head back to slam into Kelly's face, stunning her. Shadow slips behind her and hits the Skullbuster, followed by a Dragon Sleeper. Shadow cinches it in with the body scissors, and Kelly taps out.)

Winner: Shadow

David: Shadow will meet LuFisto at Scared Stiff, and the Ladies' Title will be on the line!

(Backstage, Matt Sydal and Joey Sprinklers are standing in front of the locker room door.)

Joey: You sure they're in there?

Sydal: Yeah, I just saw them. This is our chance.

Joey: I don't know about this.

Sydal: Trust me.

(He pounds on the door, and Ronin Fox and Cynric answer it.)

Cynric: What do you two want?

Sydal: What every team in MECCA wants, and that's your titles. We want a tag title match right here tonight, so we're challenging you. What do you say?

(Fox and Cynric start to laugh.)

Fox: The team who hasn't done squat since they formed thinks they're worthy to challenge us? What are you two on anyway?

Joey: Listen, punk, if ya don't give us our match, I'm gonna get my skateboard, and there's gonna be some serious knee-breakin', if you get my...

Sydal: It's okay, Joey. Calm down. Look, guys, MECCA title holders are supposed to defend their titles at least once a month. And with you two busy in singles action at Scared Stiff, I'd say that leaves you pretty much busy for the rest of the month. You don't have any defenses lined up, so why not get it over with tonight?

Fox: First of all, we don't have to do anything. We're the MECCA Tag Team Champions, but I'll tell you what. Since you let the cat out of the bag, it's true. I have been granted my World Title shot at Scared Stiff, and yes, Cynric will be involved in the Stiff Strike Challenge. That gives us a pass, but since you two want it so bad, we'll give you a title shot tonight. But don't come crying to us, because after tonight, if you want another one, you'll have to earn it the old fashioned way, with victories.

Cynric: Now get the hell out of our faces.

(They slam the door shut.)

Sydal: See? All you have to do is attack their pride, and you can get them to do anything. Let's go prepare.

(He and Joey exit.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Body Bomb" hits and the Surgeons make their way to the ring.)

David: We're back on Go Time, and we just found out that not only will there be a tag title defense right here tonight, but it will be the main event, as Katie Piehl has pushed the World Title Match up to the middle of the show. What an opportunity for Joey Sprinklers and Matt Sydal!

Dick: Right now we've got tag team action of a different kind, though, as the Surgeons are coming off a victory over the CDT last week, in which they got their revenge for At Your Own Risk, when they ended up breaking Concession Boy's jaw with Dreamo's loaded pillow.

("Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)

David: Anubis and the Wild Wolf are also anxiously awaiting their title shot, as they have been burning through the competition this year.

Dick: It's important for both teams to get the victory here, so it should be a heated contest.

(FINISH: The Surgeons hit the Human Error on the Wild Wolf, but when Stryker covers, Dreamo runs down and grabs his leg, pulling him off. Stryker goes after Dreamo, and Walters gets clotheslined by Anubis. Dreamo rolls into the ring, with Stryker in pursuit, and Wolf gives him an enzugiri. Stryker stumbles into the Ankh Smash from Anubis, but Anubis then gets taken down with a lungblower from Walters. However, as the ref gets Stryker and Anubis out of the ring, Dreamo clips Walters's knee, and the Wild Wolf applies the Kanine Kruncher. Walters taps out.)

Winners: The Killer Kanines

David: The Kanines win this match, thanks to Dreamo, who was getting payback for what happened to his partner last week.

Dick: The Killer Kanines definitely have to be considered for a title shot in the near future, and the Surgeons are enraged.

(Dreamo laughs at Stryker and Walters and tries to exit the ring, but Stryker grabs him by the ankle. Walters grabs his head and beels him in over the top rope. They take turns giving Dreamo right hands, and then whip him into the ropes. They give him Bad Medicine, and then bring him to his knees. Stryker and Walters both slap Dreamo across one ear as hard as they can. Dreamo goes down, holding his head in pain as the Surgeons bad mouth him. The ref calls for the EMTs, as he sees Dreamo is bleeding from the ears.)

David: Once again the Surgeons have taken out a member of the CDT, as this time Dreamo had his ears clapped. That's dangerous, as he could lose hearing in one or both of his ears!

Dick: The EMTs are attending to him right now, and from the looks of things, they're about to rush him to the hospital.

David: When we come back, Eddie Crowe defends the World Title against Cheesecake!

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Ronin Fox.)

Bill: Fox, you have been granted a World Title shot at Scared Stiff, but right here tonight, you and Cynric have agreed to put up your tag titles against S-Squared.

Fox: S-Squared, is that what they're calling themselves? Oy. Sprinklers and Sydal are of no concern to us, Bill, but the thing that concerns me is this World Title Match. You see, it doesn't bother me that myself and Cynric have been banned from ringside. What interests me is the fact that it's coming up next. Myself and Cynric are in the main event tonight. And once I win the World Title at Scared Stiff, whether from Eddie Crowe or Cheesecake, I'll be in every main event. Neither one of them have been able to beat me, and at Scared Stiff, I will become what I should have become a long time ago, and that's the MECCA World Champion. So Eddie, or Cheesecake, get ready to be outfoxed.

(Commercial Break)

(In the ring, "Filthy/Gorgeous" hits and Cheesecake makes his way to the ring, accompanied by Coquette.)

David: It's time for our World Title rematch from last week, as Cheesecake was ready to be put away by Eddie Crowe, only to have Ronin Fox interfere and get Cheesecake disqualified.

Dick: Cheesecake claims that since Eddie didn't really beat him, he should get a rematch. And of course, the Harbinger of Sorrow backs down from no one.

("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)

David: I don't know where Cheesecake gets off telling us that Eddie didn't really beat him. Cheesecake was out, and it was only thanks to Fox that he didn't get pinned.

Dick: You'd be surprised where Cheesecake gets off.

Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, this is a rematch for the MECCA World Championship! To my left, the challenger... from Bellbrook, Ohio, and weighing in at 230 lbs... he is a former MECCA Tag Team Champion... Cheeeesecaaaake! And his opponent... also from Bellbrook, Ohio, and weighing in at 195 lbs... he is the current reigning and defending MECCA World Heavyweight Champion... Eddieeeee Croooooowe!

(FINISH: Cheesecake goes for the Long Kiss Goodnight, but Eddie counters into a 3/4 Nelson for a two count. He bounces off the ropes and sends Cheesecake down with a flying forearm. He goes to the outside and gives Cheesecake a slingshot legdrop. He covers and gets another two count. Eddie picks Cheesecake up and goes for a running brainbuster, but Cheesecake escapes. However, Eddie lands a superkick right to the jaw and then hits the running brainbuster. He hits the Eddie Dive and gets the three count.)

Winner: Eddie Crowe

David: Eddie has successfully put away Cheesecake, and maybe now he'll stop complaining about getting beaten.

Dick: A decisive win for the champ, and this now frees him to concentrate on Ronin Fox coming up at Scared Stiff.

David: We'll be right back with Kevin Stone taking on Delirious!

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Eddie Crowe.)

Bill: I'm here with the MECCA World Champion, and Eddie, congratulations on your victory, but at Scared Stiff, you face the only man you've never beaten in a title defense, Ronin Fox.

Eddie: Fox, I'm not afraid to admit that the one time we wrestled, you had me dead to rights, and if things hadn't gotten out of hand at ringside, you probably would have ended my title reign. That's why I relish this opportunity at Scared Stiff to get my hands on you. Not only will I be validating the legitimacy of this reign when I beat you decisively, but I'll be avenging the Pyro Twins, who you took those tag titles from. Now, when I...

(Cheesecake enters.)

Cheesecake: Hold on, right now! Eddie, you want to talk about winning de'th'i'thively, which I gue'th i'th what you think you did out there, but the fact of the matter i'th that we were bumped from the main event th'pot to the middle of the show. I wa'th told we were going on la'th't, and my preparations and warmup'th were not complete! Th'o the way I th'ee it, you didn't beat me at all, you ju'th't caught me by th'urprise, and I want one more shot at that belt.

Eddie: Do you even realize how ridiculous you sound? And I'm not referring to the way you talk, but at the words that are spilling out of your mouth. If you're that easy to be caught unawares, you have no business holding this title at all. But I'll tell you what... I'll give you one more shot next week here on Go Time. But you know the Contender Star rules... if you fail to win the title after three tries, you get thrown off the Contender Star and someone else will get your spot. Do you accept?

Cheesecake: Yeah, I acc'th'ept, and nex'th't week, you're toa'th't, buddy!

(Cheesecake exits.)

(In the office, Katie Piehl is with Low Ki.)

Katie: Ki, I can't thank you enough for coming out when you did last week, as that show was definitely on its way down the crapper thanks to the David Caldwell Project. Thanks to you, the only member of that group to show up tonight was Dreamo, and we saw what happened to him! So if there's anything I can do for you, just name it.

Low Ki: Katie, you and everyone out there saw what happened after the match as I was jumped from behind by Saito's partner. I want Jamie Chan in a match next week, so I can show him what happens when you stare death in the face.

Katie: It would certainly be my pleasure to see that, so next week, when MECCA makes its Texas debut, it will be Low Ki vs. Jamie Chan.

(Kevin Stone enters.)

Stone: Well, isn't that sweet? Low Ki, I saw the way you were strutting around out there last week, and if you fooled Katie into thinking that you were doing it for MECCA, you haven't fooled me. You were just back from Japan, and you had a reputation to uphold, just in case the fans forgot who you were. The David Caldwell Project just happened to be easy targets. Let me tell you, Low Ki, you may think you're the biggest bad ass walking the rings of MECCA, but you're nothing... nothing... compared to me. Now, at Scared Stiff, I will be defending the crown I won last year by participating in the Stiff Strike Challenge, and I implore you... enter the match. Test your skill against mine. And maybe we'll just find out who's the baddest of them all. My music is about to hit, so I'll just leave you to think it over.

(Stone exits.)

(In the arena, "Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)

David: It's time for more action here on Go Time, as Delirious is tweakin' out!

Dick: It's a big opportunity right here for Delirious, as he goes for a spot on the Contender Star.

("At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)

David: Kevin Stone just stated a few moments ago, when he came face to face with Low Ki, that he's entered the Stiff Strike Challenge again, and will defend his crown after entering last year.

Dick: Of course, Stone and Low Ki have that issue going back to July, when they were dream partners in a tag match with Eddie Crowe and Bryan Danielson, and now that Ki is back from Japan, Stone seems determined to take that issue to the ring.

(FINISH: Stone goes for the Stone Crusher, but Delirious bites his hand as he lifts him, and Stone lets go. Delirious tries a few clotheslines off the ropes, but doesn't take Stone down. After about the fifth clothesline, Delirious hits him with BAM! and Stone finally goes down. Delirious covers and gets a two count. He whips Stone into the corner and charges for another clothesline, but Stone hits a pickup spear out of the corner. He nails Delirious with a big boot and then hits the Monster Bomb. He covers and gets the three count.)

Winner: Kevin Stone

David: The MECCA Monster has put away Delirious, and now it's on to the Stiff Strike Challenge on October 28 in Richmond, Virginia.

Dick: We know that Stone will have to contend against his former tag team partner Cynric in that match, but we don't know who the other two participants will be.

("Fighter's Passion" hits and Low Ki makes his way onto the stage with a mic.)

David: Wait a minute, Low Ki is in the building! Maybe he has an answer for Stone's challenge earlier.

Low Ki: MECCA Monster... let me tell you, Stone, what you said earlier got to me. Last year, I wasn't as focused as I should have been in the Stiff Strike Challenge, and I allowed you to walk away with the victory. But this year, I won't make the same mistake. Because I took your words to heart, and put my bid in for the Stiff Strike Challenge, and that bid was accepted. I'll see you at Scared Stiff.

(Stone and Low Ki stare each other down.)

David: We have three of four participants announced, but who will the fourth man be? When we come back, we'll hear from the UK Wrecking Crew!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Problems" by the Sex Pistols hits and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring.)

David: We're back with former MECCA Tag Team Champions, the UK Wrecking Crew. Of course, they told Ronin Fox and Cynric that after At Your Own Risk, they would be coming for the tag titles, and that is more important to them now than ever, since neither one of them were able to beat Eddie Crowe for the MECCA Championship.

Dick: They tried to jump Eddie after that match was over, but they were run off by their rivals the Pyro Twins.

(Nathans gets a mic.)

Nathans: First of all, Eddie Crowe, you got lucky in that title match when my partner and I had our differences, and you were able to take advantage of it. Otherwise, one of us would be champion right now. But that's all water under the bridge, as Jack and I worked out our differences, and now our focus is on what it has always been on. And that's regaining the MECCA Tag Team Championship, the titles that we made!

Fletcher: So Ronin Fox and Cynric, you kept to your word to keep our of our match with Eddie, and we thank you for that. But just like we said, after our business with him was complete, we were coming after your belts. And we don't care if we have to wait until after Scared Stiff, we want to...

("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the stage. Jay has a mic.)

David: Now the Pyro Twins are out here! This could be dangerous for Nathans and Fletcher!

Jay: UK Wrecking Crew, you come out here and say that you want those tag team titles back, but in case you've forgotten, the only reason we lost those belts to begin with was due to your interference. And ever since then, you've been running scared from us, and I don't blame you. But if you didn't want the mailbox to blow up, you shouldn't have thrown the cherry bomb into it.

Dusty: You see, Nathans, Fletcher, we're not going to chase you for months on end like last time. We want a match, and we want it soon, and we want this whole thing to be over. And since you took it upon yourselves earlier this year to make fun of our love of fire by throwing it in our faces literally, I say that's exactly what we do at Scared Stiff. We want you in a match where the only way to win is to set your opponent on fire. That's our personal favorite type of match, so we'll just call this the Ring of Fire Match!

David: A Ring of Fire for Scared Stiff!? This could be the end of one of these teams' careers if that's the case.

(Nathans and Fletcher talk to each other, looking nervous.)

Nathans: Wait a minute... we know all the fans want to see that match, but we're not about to give you people what you want! We're not about that! We're about the wrestling, not some barbaric kick to set people on fire!

Jay: You're sure about that? Just think about it, you have the chance to end our careers in just a few short weeks. We could be out of your hair forever, but all it takes is a little guts.

(Nathans and Fletcher confer.)

Fletcher: Well... if this means that we don't have to look at your ugly faces, you toerags, then so be it. We'll have ourselves an Inferno Match. But be warned right now, we got the better of you two for over a year, and this will be no exception. When this match is over, even your own families won't be able to recognize you!

Dusty: That's funny, because we were thinking the exact same thing. Come Scared Stiff, you two will burn for eternity, and there will be nothing cold enough to quench the flames!

("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins leave.)

David: The Ring of Fire, one of the most dangerous ideas in this company's history, at Scared Stiff, live on pay-per-view!

Dick: This is going to be scary, David. These teams are not only going to be risking their careers but their lives.

David: Up next is our main event, as Ronin Fox and Cynric defend the tag titles against S-Squared, but right now, Bill Bicknell is standing by with the MECCA Toughman Champion, Alan Mayse.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Alan Mayse.)

Bill: I'm here with the Toughman Champion, and Alan, I understand you have some plans for Scared Stiff and want to divulge them to our audience right now.

Alan: That's right, and it's no secret that I've been trying to build this title, and I've been succeeding. The rules of the Toughman Title are such that anyone can challenge for this title, as long as they make the request. And I've been defending it here in MECCA, and been successful every single time. But I think to truly bring some prestige to this belt, there needs to be something more. That's why I'm issuing an open challenge. I claim to be the toughest wrestler in the world, and I want the world to try and prove me wrong. Anyone in the world, whether they work for MECCA or not, if they want a shot at this belt live on pay-per-view, at Scared Stiff, October 28, just say the word. I've spoken to Katie Piehl, and all the arrangements are taken care of. Come to MECCA... step in the ring with me... and we'll see if there's anyone in the world that can take this belt.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Hit That" hits and S-Squared make their way to the ring.)

David: We're back with our tag title main event, but speaking of titles, Alan Mayse has challenged anyone in the world to step in the ring with him at Scared Stiff.

Dick: I can't wait to see just who accepts that challenge. There has to be someone out there willing to do it.

David: But now it's time for our main event, as Joey Sprinklers and Matt Sydal made the challenge earlier, attacking the pride of the champs and getting them to accept this match.

("Soul Creation" hits and Ronin Fox and Cynric make their way to the ring.)

David: Joey got a title shot at Fox and Cynric before, just after they won the titles, and of course that was the ill-fated night that saw Fox hit Lisa Letty with a trash-masher and nearly paralyze her, and caused Nykk to take a leave of absence from MECCA.

Dick: Sydal and Joey are getting a shot at the main event here, so they'd better make the most of it.

(FINISH: Fox hits the curb stomp into the knees of Cynric on Sydal, but Joey makes the save on the cover. Cynric attacks from behind and whips Joey into the ropes, giving him a spinning heel kick. He puts Joey on his shoulders and Fox goes up top for the Dead End. However, Sydal dropkicks Cynric from behind, and he accidentally tosses Joey into the corner, crotching Fox. Sydal steps off of Cynric's back to hurricanrana Fox back into the ring. Joey gives Fox Da Sprinklanator, and Sydal hits a standing moonsault, but Cynric immediately comes at him and hits him with the Lift Off. He rolls Fox on top of him, and lifts Joey and rams him into the corner as Fox gets the three count.)

Winners: Ronin Fox and Cynric

David: The brothers win a hard fought contest that definitely showed the potential of the team of Joey Sprinklers and Matt Sydal.

Dick: Now it's on to Scared Stiff, a World Title shot for Fox and a chance at the Stiff Strike Challenge for Cynric.

David: We'll see you next week, fans!
