Go Time: 9/27/06

Lansing, MI

Quick Rundown Results:
Killer Kanines b. Matt Sydal and Alan Mayse
LuFisto b. Misery
Ronin Fox b. Matt Stryker
John Walters b. Trent Acid
Bryan Danielson b. Joey Sprinklers

("Neocon" opening.)

David: We are here in Lansing, Michigan, as MECCA presents Go Time! I'm David Mills, he's Dick Broccoli, and we are just three days away from our September special At Your Own Risk, live on FSN.

Dick: We heard the challenge issued last week, as Bryan Danielson wanted Alan Mayse in the ring. It will happen on September 30, but in the main event tonight, the American Dragon takes on a good friend of Alan's, Matt Sydal!

David: But Alan won't be sitting idly by, as he's chosen a tag team challenge to prepare himself for this Saturday, as he will team with Joey Sprinklers against the Killer Kanines!

Dick: We also understand that new co-owner David Caldwell will address the MECCA fans and workers about something tonight.

("Cool" hits and the Human Tornado and Delirious make their way to the ring.)

David: The Human Tornado and Delirious seem to have formed a team recently out of necessity, as the CDT no longer consider themselves part of the Eccentric Alliance, making these two the only members left.

Dick: As different as they are, as much as they have no business teaming together, we've definitely seen odder couples... no, I can't lie like that, don't feed me lies please. I've never seen two odder people than these two!

("Soul Creation" hits and Ronin Fox and Cynric make their way to the ring.)

David: Our MECCA Tag Team Champions wanted a warm up match tonight, and they got it in this non-title match, as they are set to face the Pyro Twins in just three days.

Dick: Last week, Fox and Cynric and the UK Wrecking Crew came to an understanding that too much is at stake on September 30, and agreed to keep their noses out of each other's business. That means these two will have to beat the Pyro Twins on their own.

(FINISH: Tornado gives Fox a spinning wheel kick, but he walks right into a spinning heel kick from Cynric. However, as Cynric gets up, Delirious comes off the top rope with Shadows Over Hell. He covers, but Fox breaks up the count. He tries a back suplex, but Delirious escapes and dropkicks Fox into the corner. He charges in with the Panic Attack, and ducks a crescent kick from Cynric. He goes for Chemical Imbalance #2, but Cynric rolls through with a victory roll and then pulls Delirious back and lifts him onto his shoulders. Fox goes to the top and hits the Dead End. Cynric takes out Tornado with the Lift Off as Fox covers Delirious and gets the three count.)

Winners: Ronin Fox and Cynric

David: The tag team champs come up with the victory, and have the momentum needed to head to At Your Own Risk to face the Pyro Twins.

Dick: Speaking of tag team action, I've just been told through my headset that later tonight, the UK Wrecking Crew will take on Eddie Crowe, who has been given the choice of one of the Pyro Twins as his partner!

David: Huge news indeed, another big tag match here on Go Time!

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with the Surgeons.)

Bill: I'm here with John Walters and Matt Stryker, who are known as the Surgeons here in MECCA, and guys, you had a rubber match set with Stage One for At Your Own Risk, but as of last week, Katie Piehl added the CDT to the mix to make it a Triangle Match. Does this change the dynamics of the match for you?

Walters: Our strategy has always been to win, so no, nothing's changed for us. Whether it's Stage One or the CDT, we will win and prove ourselves to the MECCA fans.

Stryker: Sooner or later, you're going to be seeing tag gold around our waists. And as for this Saturday, whether it's one team, two teams, blue teams or red teams, in the end they're all dead teams, because the Surgeons are coming to take you apart!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)

David: It's time for some more tag action here on Go Time, as the Wild Wolf and Anubis make their way to the ring.

Dick: The Killer Kanines are looking to make a run for the tag titles, but have been in a little bit of a stall lately. Perhaps tonight is the night they can turn the corner.

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse and Joey Sprinklers make their way to the ring.)

David: I'm not sure what to make of this odd pairing, as I guess Alan just wanted a partner for a warm up match tonight, and Joey was available, since his own partner is already busy with Bryan Danielson later.

Dick: Joey's always ready for the idea of a fight. Unfortunately, he's never ready for an actual fight.

(FINISH: Alan gives the Wild Wolf an exploder suplex, and goes outside for a springboard dropkick. Bryan Danielson runs down to ringside and pulls Alan's foot down as he jumps. Alan goes after Danielson, who baits him up the aisle as Joey fights it out with the Killer Kanines by himself. He pelts Wolf and Anubis with rights, and goes for Da Sprinklanator on Wolf. Wolf escapes and pushes him into Anubis, who hits Joey with a hard lariat. He picks Joey up and puts him an electric chair position. He lets Joey's limp body fall vertical, and hooks the arms with his legs. Wolf bounces off the ropes and dropkicks the back of Joey's head. Anubis then falls back in a reverse Styles Clash. He turns Joey over and pins him.)

Winners: The Killer Kanines

David: The Killer Kanines with the fairly easy victory once they were alone with Joey.

Dick: That's what you call a night off here in MECCA.

David: Danielson is certainly starting early with the head games, but he and Alan will meet one on one this Saturday. Up next, Eddie Crowe and one of his fellow EDJ members take on the UK Wrecking Crew!

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with the UK Wrecking Crew.)

Bill: I'm joined by Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher, and you guys have a big title opportunity coming up this Saturday, but up next you get a little bit of a preview as you take on the MECCA Champ...

(The Pyro Twins suddenly burst in. The UKWC begs off.)

Jay: Hell, no. Not when we've finally got you alone.

(Jay and Dusty attack, and the two teams brawl around the backstage area. The UK Wrecking Crew flee toward the door, but the Pyro Twins follow. Jay throws Nathans through the exit, as Dusty pounds away on Fletcher with right hands. They go outside, and the UKWC make a run for it, right into the back of the ring truck. The Pyro Twins follow them into the darkness. A few moments later, all that can be heard is the sound of two chairshots. The UK Wrecking Crew come out of the ring truck with Cynric, who is holding a chair. Ronin Fox comes around the side of the truck and pulls the door down. Cynric gets a padlock and they lock the Pyro Twins inside the ring truck. Nathans gets into the camera lens.)

Nathans: There you go, Pyro Twins, EDJ. Let's see how you like it as a handicap match, champ.

(The UK Wrecking Crew, Fox and Cynric exit as the Pyro Twins pound on the inside of the truck door, yelling inaudibly.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Ironman" hits and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring.)

David: We're back, and I bet the UK Wrecking Crew and Fox and Cynric are so proud of themselves. Not only did they lock the Pyro Twins in the ring truck, but no one can find any bolt cutters anywhere, and we had to call a locksmith to come and get them out. But since that's going to take some time, that means the Pyro Twins are effectively eliminated from participating in this match.

Dick: So is Eddie going to go alone, or is there another partner available or what?

("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)

David: I have to question where Eddie's head is at if he's going to do this alone just a few days before he defends his title against both men, but you can't doubt our World Champion's courage.

Dick: Nathans and Fletcher are just poised like a couple of hyenas waiting for a wildebeest to die so they can feast. I can't see Eddie winning against the former tag champs.

(FINISH: The UK Wrecking Crew dominate the match, though Eddie manages to keep himself alive. Finally, the UKWC manage to hit him with the Wrecking Ball, and they both go for the cover. Nathans and Fletcher get into an argument and begin shoving each other. They ask the ref who the legal man is, but he doesn't know, since they've both basically been in the ring the entire match. Eventually, Eddie regains his bearings and takes them down with a double dropkick. He gives Fletcher a running brainbuster, and then goes for the Eddie Dive. However, Nathans pulls him down and Eddie hits his head on the top turnbuckle. Nathans gives him a falcon arrow, but Fletcher dives over and pushes Nathans out of the way, covering Eddie to get the three count.)

Winners: The UK Wrecking Crew

David: The UK Wrecking Crew finally put away Eddie, but they seemed to have some miscommunication on just who would get the glory by pinning the MECCA Champion.

Dick: If they're fighting about this match, what are they going to be like in the Triangle Match this Saturday? They need to be on the same page for their strategy to work.

(The UK Wrecking Crew leave the ring, and Nathans starts arguing with Fletcher again.)

(Backstage, David Caldwell has a microphone.)

Caldwell: Hello, this is new MECCA co-owner David Caldwell standing by with... myself! You know, I've been holding back the last couple of weeks, surveying the landscape of this fine organization, entrenching my roots so to speak, and now I think I'm ready to start branching out. You see, I love this company so much, and it pains me when I look at our marketing strategy and see that there's a whole segment of the market we're leaving untapped. I realize that MECCA is a company for wrestling fans, but ultimately, let's not kid ourselves. Wrestling is entertainment... sports entertainment. And I look at the numbers that other organizations do every week, and I realize that this company just isn't being run like the sports entertainment company I know it can be. But I promise you, that's all about to change. And you MECCA fans may not like it, but let's be honest, when has your opinion ever meant a damn to me? As owner of MECCA, moolah, dinero, the bottom line, that's all that matters to me now, and starting next week, new rules will be implemented to make sure that David Caldwell's Sports Entertainment takes over this business, and I'll make us all rich beyond our wildest dreams.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "TKO" hits and Zoe Alexander, Shadow and Gail Kim make their way to the ring.)

David: We're back, and getting ready for six-woman action here on Go Time. Zoe Alexander is the number one contender to the Ladies' Title, and will captain a team tonight consisting of two former Ladies' Champions.

Dick: I can't wait for Zoe vs. LuFisto this Saturday, and we may get a little preview of that right here tonight.

("Sold Me" hits and LuFisto, Kelly Schweickart and Heather Star make their way to the ring.)

David: The Ladies' Champion has chosen two partners who haven't won the Ladies' Title yet, but show a lot of promise in our ladies' division.

Dick: Two high flyers as well, and I can't wait to see what they come up with in this match.

(FINISH: Zoe goes for a TKO, but LuFisto lands on her feet and lifts Zoe into a firewoman's carry of her own, hitting the LuFisto Launcher. She covers, but Shadow comes in and breaks it up. Kelly comes in and dropkicks Shadow, and Kim and Star come in and a donnybrook erupts. Kim backdrops Kelly over the top rope, but Kelly lands on the apron. Shadow then nails her with the Interceptor, sending Kelly into the guardrail. Shadow goes out after her, as LuFisto dumps Kim to the outside as well. Heather goes to the top rope as Kim and Shadow start double teaming Kelly, and hits a Falling Star Press onto all of them. In the ring, LuFisto hits a clothesline on Zoe, and then goes for a German suplex. Zoe headbutts her to escape and snapmares her over, hooking her arms and rolling her up for a two count. She bounces off the ropes, but LuFisto hits her with a European uppercut. She goes for LuFisto's Law, but Zoe counters into the Zoetrope. She covers and gets the three count.)

Winners: Zoe Alexander, Shadow and Gail Kim

David: Zoe Alexander has once again gotten the fall on our Ladies' Champion, and you have to wonder if this means that she has LuFisto's number come At Your Own Risk.

Dick: Zoe certainly stands as the favorite right now, and without any kind of hardcore stipulation for the match, is LuFisto outmatched by a better wrestler?

(LuFisto gets a mic as Shadow, Kim and Zoe leave.)

LuFisto: Zoe Alexander, we are not finished. Get back here right now!

(Zoe blows her off and heads back through the curtain.)

LuFisto: I have to admit, Zoe, you've been owning me recently. And this Saturday, I'm defending my Ladies' Title against you. A word to the wise... you'd better kill me come At Your Own Risk, because that's the only way I'm giving up this title. I am the MECCA Ladies' Champion, which makes me the best female wrestler in the world, and if you think your tricks are going to stop me this weekend, you've got another thing coming. Because though I'm the First Lady of Hardcore, it doesn't mean that I need that moniker. I'll wrestle you, and beat you, and you'll realize that you'll just have to settle for not being number one!

("Sold Me" plays, and LuFisto exits the ring.)

David: LuFisto is fired up for this Saturday, but we have our main event coming up. Bryan Danielson vs. Matt Sydal, right here tonight!

(Commercial Break)

(In the office, Katie Piehl is sitting at her desk.)

Katie: Hello, fans, this is MECCA Co-owner Katie Piehl, and I just want to address something real quick before we get to our main event. I saw earlier on... David Caldwell... my new partner, against my will... has shown his true motivation. I've been waiting to see what he's been up to for weeks now, and it seems he wants to turn MECCA into a sports entertainment company. I just want to assure all you fans, that will never happen. Caldwell, if you want to discuss business plans, my door is always open, but you have yet to speak to me at all concerning business matters. Rest assured, MECCA is a professional wrestling company, not sports entertainment. That stuff will get in over my dead body. So you fans enjoy the rest of our wrestling show, while I attempt to set a few things straight with our new co-owner.

(Backstage, Matt Sydal is walking toward the ring, when Cheesecake suddenly turns the corner and attacks him from behind. Coquette follows him, and they put the boots to Matt. Cheesecake throws him into a vending machine, and Sydal falls back against the wall. Cheesecake grabs a chair, and starts smashing it into Sydal's arm. Alan Mayse, Joey Sprinklers and some officials come to break it up, and Cheesecake and Coquette run away.)

Alan: What the hell is your problem!?

Joey: Matt, you all right?

(Sydal groans in pain and complains about his arm.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring.)

David: It's usually time for our main event at this point, but as we saw before the break, Sydal was blindsided by Cheesecake and Coquette, who he is teaming with Daizee Haze against this Saturday, and he really took a beating.

Dick: Danielson seems smug about it, though. This may be a night off for him.

(Danielson gets a mic.)

Danielson: Normally I would come out here and wow you idiots with my superior wrestling skills, because I'm where I belong, and that's in the main event. But it seems as if my so-called "main event opponent" isn't even going to bother to show. Sydal, if you can't suck it up when it counts, then you have no business being anywhere near this ring when I'm in it. But I can't waste time with all of you if I don't have an opponent, because I've got Alan Mayse to prepare for this Saturday, so referee, you have till FIVE to raise my hand and declare me the winner by forfeit, or else.

(Danielson throws down his mic and starts counting, but at four, "Clavicle" hits and Matt Sydal comes through the curtain, noticeably limping and with his arm against his side.)

David: Matt Sydal is coming out here anyway, and I can't say that this is the best idea. He's just been laid out and hurt by Cheesecake, and he's climbing in the ring with the American Dragon, a shooter if there ever was one.

Dick: Sydal shows courage, but he'd be wiser to rest up for his mixed tag match on Saturday in Miami.

(FINISH: Sydal shows some offense toward the end, and manages to hit a standing moonsault on Danielson. He goes for the Here It Is Driver, but can't lift Danielson with his bad arm. Danielson escapes and applies the Crossface Chickenwing. He drops back and cinches it in, but Sydal rolls on top of Danielson and pins his shoulders for a close two count. Danielson releases the hold and starts elbowing Matt in the head. Once he has him semi-conscious, Danielson applies the Cattle Mutilation, and Sydal taps out.)

Winner: Bryan Danielson

David: Matt Sydal gave a courageous effort, but he didn't really have a chance wrestling hurt against a guy the caliber of Bryan Danielson.

Dick: Hopefully he'll be good to go for this Saturday, but who can say how badly he was injured right now?

(Danielson raises his arms in victory, and Alan Mayse comes in through the crowd. He gets in the ring and gets in Danielson's face. They exchange forearms, and Danielson tries to duck out of the ring. Alan grabs his leg and pulls him back in. He hits Danielson with rights, and whips him into the ropes. Danielson headbutts him, but Alan then catches him with an exploder suplex. He gives Danielson the Tiger Bomb, and then stands over him as "Seven Nation Army" plays.)

David: Alan Mayse is standing tall, after Danielson cost him his tag match earlier tonight. It was receipt time for the American Dragon. We'll see you this Saturday for At Your Own Risk, fans!
