Go Time: 9/20/06

Quick Rundown Results:
Jay Crowe b. Trent Acid
Zoe Alexander b. Heather Star
Human Tornado b. Wild Wolf
Ronin Fox b. Delirious

("Neocon" opening.)

David: We are here in Detroit, Michigan, for another edition of Go Time, as presented by MECCA! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and tonight we have a huge six-man tag match in the main event.

Dick: In a rematch from back at Melee, the EDJ will take on Kevin Stone and the UK Wrecking Crew! The Pyro Twins and our MECCA Champion Eddie Crowe will be looking to even the score from the loss they took on that night. In addition to that, Stage One and David Caldwell will be here taking on the Concession Dream Team.

David: We'll also have a Triangle Match from the ladies' division as Shadow takes on Kelly Schweickart and Gail Kim! And believe it or not, Huh returns to action tonight!

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)

David: It was a week ago that Alan Mayse defeated his biggest competition to date as Toughman Champion, putting away Kevin Stone in a No Holds Barred Match.

Dick: What was even more surprising was that Stone was still conscious after all that punishment, and if not for the fact that there are no rope breaks in Toughman contests, we could have had a new Toughman Champ.

(Alan gets a mic.)

Alan: 143 days. That's how long I have held this Toughman Championship. And if you all remember, back when I won this title, I stated that I would beat my own personal record of 290 days as a champion. I've resisted every challenge to come at me, and I still hold this title. Now I'm at the halfway point, and let me tell you, I now realize that I can back up my own words. I can do this all again and reset the bar for myself. Kevin Stone, you are about the toughest son of a bitch I've ever faced, but last week, I put you to rest. And if I can do that to you, I can do it to anybody in this company. And I will not rest until...

("The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring.)

David: It's the American Dragon Bryan Danielson! We haven't seen him a whole lot since his loss to Eddie Crowe at Summertime Showdown, where he came within a hair of becoming the MECCA World Champion.

Dick: But what does he want with Alan Mayse?

(Danielson gets a mic.)

Danielson: I'm not going to come out here and be all cocky and ridicule all you stupid fans tonight, because at Summertime Showdown I was humbled. I thought that no one in this business could take me down, and I was proven wrong. But people... just because I'm not invincible does not mean that I'm not the best wrestler in the world! And I plan on proving that, Alan, because I want something from you. No, I don't want your title. The only title that matters to me is the MECCA World Title, and I want to get back in contention. So I'm proposing a little contest of our own at At Your Own Risk, coming up on September 30. You and me, one on one. You don't have to put your title on the line, I just want a match with you.

Alan: Bryan... you do understand that I'm not on the Contender Star, right? I have my own battles to fight with this belt, and a win over me won't help you get a title shot. You do know that, right?

Danielson: I know who's on the Contender Star, Mayse. And I'll get my chance at them sooner or later, but I want this match with you. Because you carry a lot of weight, now that you've defended what some might call a "gimmick" title or a "secondary" title, and you defended it successfully against a former MECCA Champion last week. A win over you would mean something to the booking committee, and that's what I want. I realize that you're looking for something different right now, and you want to focus on building that title right now, but have a match with me. And if you're satisfied with what you see, then you can put that title on the line down the road and I'll take it from you if I have to. But for now, At Your Own Risk, non-title. What do you say?

Alan: You're right, Bryan, I'm focused on defending this title, but that doesn't mean I've lost my competitive spirit. I'll face you on September 30, the first time that MECCA travels outside the Midwest, all the way down in Miami, Florida. The belt won't be on the line, no Contender Star spot is on the line, just you and me. And when I beat you, I'm giving you a title shot anyway. Because I need that notch in my belt to make this title mean something. So that when I break my own record, it means something. I accept your challenge.

(He holds out his hand, and Danielson shakes it as "Seven Nation Army" plays.)

David: A humble American Dragon has just challenged the Toughman Champion, non-title, for At Your Own Risk, and that challenge was accepted. What a match for September 30!

Dick: Danielson obviously has a plan to get a rematch for the MECCA World Championship, but he and Alan need this match with each other in order to accomplish it. This will be an interesting contest, and an even more interesting result.

David: We'll be right back with tag team action here on Go Time!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Still More Fighting" hits and Stage One make their way to the ring, along with David Caldwell.)

David: We're ready for our first contest on Go Time, as Ryan Saito and Jamie Chan make their way to the ring with that parasite of theirs.

Dick: Careful, David, Caldwell is co-owner of MECCA now, and it looks like his first act of business is to make sure that his team is elevated in the rankings.

David: We've also just learned that a third match has been signed for At Your Own Risk between the Surgeons and Stage One. Hopefully that will finally settle the rivalry that's been brewing.

("Sweet Dreams" hits and the CDT make their way to the ring, along with Medea Knight.)

David: Concession Boy and Dreamo can't be happy about Huh joining forces with David Caldwell last week, saying that Caldwell has helped him see the light in this time of darkness. This pretty much leaves the Eccentric Alliance broken and disbanded.

Dick: Well, they have a chance for revenge right here, as they can take Caldwell down a peg or two by beating his pride and joy.

(FINISH: The Surgeons make their way to ringside during the match, and go after Caldwell. A few minutes later, Saito blocks a bulldog from Dreamo and sends him into referee Keith Young, knocking him down. Stryker and Walters immediately jump in the ring and go after Stage One. CB gets a hold of Saito, and Stryker goes for a leg lariat. Saito moves, and Stryker nails CB. Chan gets a chair and takes out Walters and Stryker, and Saito hits CB with Go 2 Sleep. He covers as the ref wakes up, and Chan holds Dreamo to the mat as Saito gets the three count.)

Winners: Stage One

David: Stage One did it, though I'm certain that the Surgeons were out here to make sure that they lost. Unfortunately, their plan backfired.

Dick: And the CDT aren't too happy about that either.

(Stage One and Caldwell make their exit as Dreamo shoves Stryker. The Surgeons explain that it was an accident, but the two teams keep arguing.)

David: The CDT are taking exception to the interference of the Surgeons, and who can blame them?

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Zoe Alexander.)

Bill: I'm here with the number one contender to the Ladies' Title, Zoe Alexander, and Zoe, your wish was granted for At Your Own Risk, as you will be challenging LuFisto for that title.

Zoe: It feels great that my accomplishments over the last few months are finally being acknowledged, Bill, and on September 30, LuFisto, be prepared for the end of your time in the spotlight. I step into the ring 100% focused, and when I hold that belt above my head at the end of our match, you will know that there is one female in this company that can defeat you. I am the next MECCA Ladies' Champion, because there is nothing that's going to stop me.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Cool" hits and the Human Tornado makes his way to the ring.)

David: We're back on Go Time, and it's time for two former members of the Eccentric Alliance to go at it.

Dick: With the desertion of Cheesecake and then Huh, the Eccentric Alliance is no more. But the Human Tornado wants some payback for them leaving him twisting in the wind.

("Pajamarama" hits and a blindfolded Huh makes his way to the ring, being guided by David Caldwell.)

David: We're not exactly sure why Huh is with David Caldwell after all the bad history between the two, but he's going to wrestle even though he's still blind.

Dick: Not the wisest choice by Huh, but when has he ever made a wise choice?

David: Doctors advised Huh not to step into the ring in his condition, but Huh seems confident that he'll be better than ever, even lacking his vision.

(FINISH: Tornado hits a Tornado DDT, but Caldwell gets on the apron. Tornado grabs him just as Huh charges in their general direction. Tornado sidesteps Huh. Caldwell screams at Huh to stop, and Huh does. Tornado goes for the Backdrop Driver, but Huh lands on his feet and rolls Tornado up for the three count.)

Winner: Huh

David: Believe or not, Huh has just won this match, vision be damned!

Dick: He almost seems to have more of a ring presence without his sight, oddly enough.

David: This is a huge step for Huh in gaining confidence in the ring, but he'll have to get some more wins to prove that this wasn't a fluke, and that losing his sight may actually be helping his career.

(Backstage, Katie Piehl is sitting at her desk when there's a knock on the door. Concession Boy enters, along with Medea Knight, who is guiding a sleeping Dreamo.)

Katie: What can I do for you gentlemen?

CB: Katie, you saw what happened earlier, ja? We're all about winning matches, but the last thing we want to do is get involved in someone else's business, and that's what happened tonight when we were cost the match by something we're not even part of.

Katie: It was bad luck, I'll grant you, but what do you want me to do about it?

CB: There's Surgeons vs. Stage One for At Your Own Risk, ja? Put us in the match. We want it a three-way, so we can get the win we were screwed out of.

Katie: Well, you guys did kind of get caught in the way out there... sure, why not? We'll throw in a little something extra and make it a Triangle Match. It should be exciting.

CB: Thank you, Ms. Piehl.

(The CDT exit her office.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Brackish" hits and Gail Kim makes her way to the ring.)

David: We're back, and we learned before the break that the CDT have been added to the Surgeons vs. Stage One match at At Your Own Risk on September 30, making it a Triangle Match much like this one that we're about to see.

Dick: All three ladies involved here need that big singles victory, and Gail Kim plans on taking this win and getting back in contention for the Ladies' Title.

("Take It Off" hits and Kelly Schweickart makes her way to the ring.)

David: Kelly always shows that enthusiasm, and she seems just on the cusp of something great, but really needs that one win to propel her up the rankings.

Dick: The young competitor has been with this company almost since the beginning, and she's looking to catch her big break.

("Gangsta Bitch" hits and Shadow makes her way to the ring.)

David: Of course, Shadow has very integrated roots here in MECCA and before, and she's a former MECCA Ladies' Champion herself.

Dick: She would love nothing more than to get that title back, but she has to go through some stiff competition first.

(FINISH: Shadow gets backdropped out of the ring by Kelly, who then ducks a clothesline from Gail and gives her a hardway suplex. She covers for a two count. She whips Gail into the ropes, but Kim takes her into the Christo. As Kelly starts to fade, Shadow gets back in the ring. She hits Kim with the Interceptor, and she falls off of Kelly. Shadow then applies the Dragon Sleeper on Kelly and falls back into a body scissors. Kelly quickly taps out.)

Winner: Shadow

David: Shadow was not as stunned as Gail Kim had hoped for, and she was able to take control of a fading Kelly and capitalize for this big victory.

Dick: This could mean big things coming up for Shadow, including title shots.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Eddie Crowe.)

Bill: I'm here with the MECCA World Champion, Eddie Crowe. Eddie, you have been a fighting champion, and an honorable champion, but coming up on September 30, At Your Own Risk, for the first time you will defend that title against two men in a Triangle Match. But not only two men, but two men on the same page. Your opponents are the UK Wrecking Crew, Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher, the most dominant tag team champs in MECCA history.

Eddie: Yes, Bill, on paper it seems to be a mismatch. Andy Nathans... strong, cunning, ruthless... Jack Fletcher... fast, resourceful, relentless... but keep in mind, boys, only one of you can win this title. But neither of you will. You can try to take me out all you want, but when it's up to you two, who gets the win? Fletcher, are you going to lay down for Nathans? Nathans, could you attack your own partner? So you see, this isn't a mismatch, this is just like any other title defense. Because it's one that I will win. UK Wrecking Crew, the Harbinger of Sorrow has declared that September 30 he will collect his due. And in the end, that means that I remain MECCA World Champion.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Filthy/Gorgeous" hits and Coquette makes her way to the ring.)

David: We're back with more ladies' action, as last week this young woman helped Cheesecake get the victory over Matt Sydal, only to be neutralized by an enraged Daizee Haze.

Dick: We don't know anything about Coquette, including her wrestling background if she has one. We only know that she asked for this match tonight.

("Sensi" hits and Daizee Haze makes her way to the ring.)

David: Daizee doesn't know what to expect, only that she wants revenge on Coquette for helping Cheesecake cheat to get the win over her longtime friend Matt Sydal.

Dick: We'll see if the Haze can put Coquette in her place tonight.

(FINISH: Daizee completely dominates Coquette, causing Cheesecake to come out. He trips her as she goes for the Yakuza Kick and gets on the apron. Daizee gets in his face and slaps him. Cheesecake gets in the ring and stalks Daizee, but she ducks out of the way as Coquette comes charging with a clothesline. Cheesecake doubles over as Daizee gives him a Yakuza Kick. He slides out of the ring as she blocks another clothesline from Coquette and hits a heart punch, followed by the Mind Trip. She covers and gets the three count.)

Winner: Daizee Haze

David: The Haze is victorious, and shows Coquette what's what here in MECCA!

(As Daizee celebrates, Cheesecake clotheslines her from behind and he and Coquette put the boots to her. However, Matt Sydal runs out and slides into the ring. He hits Cheesecake with right hands as Coquette makes a run for it. He gives Cheesecake the Slice, and Cheesecake rolls out of the ring. Sydal helps Daizee to her feet.)

Dick: A good thing that Matt Sydal was paying attention, or we may have seen the last of Daizee Haze out here.

(Sydal gets a mic as Cheesecake and Coquette go through the curtain.)

Sydal: Hey, Cheesecake! It looks like you can't handle it when the odds are even, huh? Well, I'll tell you what. Daizee and I have talked it over and we're in agreement that we need to shut you two down! So how about we have a little mixed tag match on FSN on September 30? At Your Own Risk, Matt Sydal and Daizee Haze vs. Cheesecake and Coquette! If you've got the guts, bring it to Miami!

("Clavicle" plays as Sydal and Daizee exit the ring.)

David: A challenge issued for At Your Own Risk, as Sydal and the Haze want a mixed tag match against Cheesecake and Coquette!

Dick: We'll have to wait and see if they accept, because those two debutantes have hightailed it out of here.

(Backstage, the UK Wrecking Crew are in the locker room.)

Nathans: You heard what he said, right? He's absolutely correct. Only one of us can win the title on September 30. We need to come up with some kind of plan that will keep us united and focused on the gold.

Fletcher: You're right, mate, we can't get into a critical point in the match and then...

(Ronin Fox and Cynric enter.)

Fox: UK Wrecking Crew, how's it going? Ready for the big fight? Because if one of you should happen to win it, I'll give you one guess who's coming after the belt first.

Fletcher: It would only be fitting, because you two seem to have something that belongs to us. And it's only a matter of time before we come to get the tag titles that we made, and bring it back to the Motherland.

Nathans: Yeah, you two are champions because of us, and we can take that away as neatly as we gave it to you.

Cynric: Relax, you guys, we didn't come here to argue. But rather, to make a little pact. In case you haven't heard, the Pyro Twins have gotten their rematch for our belts, and it's going to happen at At Your Own Risk. You see, we know you guys have the beef with the Pyro Twins, just like we have a beef against Eddie. If we're interfering in each other's matches, too many things could easily go wrong. So for now, we propose that we not interfere in each other's business.

Nathans: You stay out of our match and we stay out of yours, then?

Fox: That's right.

Fletcher: Play fair, eh? As boring as that is, At Your Own Risk is too important for both of us to have someone foul it up. What do you say, Andy?

Nathans: I say, we have ourselves a deal.

Fox: Good. We look forward to your challenge in the future, but let me tell you now, after September 30, all deals are off.

(Fox and Cynric exit.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring.)

David: It's main event time, and we've got a big six-man rematch from all the way back at Melee on March 11, as at the time Stone and the UKWC were MECCA Champion and Tag Team Champions respectively.

Dick: The situation is much different now, but these two teams still have that bad blood between them.

("Fire" hits and the EDJ make their way to the ring.)

David: It was the UK Wrecking Crew who threw fire at the Pyro Twins to give them the win last time, but the Pyro Twins definitely got their revenge at the MECCA Challenge II, and we thought it was over until Summertime Showdown.

Dick: The UK Wrecking Crew cost Jay and Dusty the tag titles, and the Pyro Twins have wanted them in the ring again ever since.

David: And Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher will be the challengers for Eddie Crowe's World Title coming up on September 30.

(FINISH: Dusty manages to give Stone the Rope Burn, but Nathans blind tags himself in. Dusty covers, unaware of the tag, and Nathans comes off the top rope with a guillotine legdrop. He gives Dusty a German suplex, but Jay runs in and breaks up the pin. All six men get involved, and Jay and Dusty come face to face with the UKWC. Instead of fighting, the UK Wrecking Crew bail out of the ring. Stone gets back in the ring as Jay and Dusty watch them go, and gets ready for a double chokeslam. However, Jay and Dusty turn around just as Eddie springboards in with a dropkick to the back of Stone's head. He walks right into Final Darkness, and then Eddie hits the Eddie Dive and Dusty covers for the three count.)

Winners: The EDJ

David: Eddie, Dusty and Jay are victorious, and the UK Wrecking Crew didn't seem too keen on facing the Pyro Twins when they were face to face.

Dick: Maybe they wanted to save their energy for their World Title Triangle Match at At Your Own Risk.

David: Speaking of which, At Your Own Risk is just a week and a half away, live on FSN! Join us here next week for the final countdown on Go Time!
