Rundown Results:
Stage One b. Tornado/Dreamo
Alexander/Kim/Misery b. LuFisto/Schweickart/Star
Alan Mayse b. Cynric
("Neocon" opening.)
David: We are here in Cleveland, Ohio, as MECCA presents another edition of Go Time! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and tonight we will find out who Eddie Crowe and Bryan Danielson have chosen as their partners for Liberty or Death. Danielson has already stated that he will bring his partner to the ring and they will take on Joey Sprinklers and Delirious.
Dick: Also, as a result of what happened last week, the Pyro Twins will be mixing it up with Stage One in singles competition.
David: Also, the Concession Dream Team have challenged Ronin Fox and Cynric to a match, and they have accepted. We'll see those two teams in action later on.
("Sold Me" hits and LuFisto and Lisa Letty make their way to the ring.)
David: We're kicking things off with a ladies' tag match, and here come the two women who will be meeting at Liberty or Death in a title match.
Dick: It's never a good idea for two opponents to be teaming together, even if Lisa has forgiven LuFisto. This could turn ugly.
("TKO" hits and Zoe Alexander and Shadow make their way to the ring.)
David: Zoe Alexander has been on a roll lately, and she looks to perhaps get the fall on LuFisto and challenge for the belt. Shadow has also been making a comeback recently.
Dick: Both these ladies are also viable challengers for the title, so LuFisto has to be careful with so many potential champions out there.
(FINISH: Lisa applies the Letty Stretch on Zoe, but Shadow runs in and breaks it up. LuFisto enters the ring and pounds away on Shadow, whipping her into the ropes and hitting a back body drop. She backs up into Lisa, who is going for the Letty Driver on Zoe. Zoe manages to counter into the Zoetrope, and Shadow pulls LuFisto out of the ring. Zoe covers and gets the three count.)
Winners: Shadow and Zoe Alexander
David: Shadow and Zoe are victorious, after some miscommunication between Lisa and the champ. This isn't going to help Lisa's opinion of LuFisto any.
(Zoe and Shadow exit the ring as Lisa argues with LuFisto about costing her the match.)
Dick: Here we go. I told you this would happen.
David: Lisa probably still doesn't quite trust LuFisto, and I'd imagine their match on July 29 will be anything but friendly.
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Eddie Crowe.)
Bill: Eddie, you've had a week to decide who your partner is going to be against Bryan Danielson's team at Liberty or Death. Out of everyone on the MECCA roster, who have you chosen?
Eddie: As to that, Bill, I have chosen my partner, and he will be here later tonight to confront Danielson and whoever his partner is. But right now, I want to talk about the man I'll be defending this title against next week, Trent Acid. Acid, it was because of your cowardice last fall that I was kept out of wrestling for a month. Next week, I plan to return the favor and put you out for at least that long. But I won't do it by running out on you, I'll do it by beating you senseless. Your Harbinger of Sorrow has arrived, and you can try to run to the comforting arms of a woman, if that even works for you, because you aren't getting anywhere near this belt. And after I'm through with you, I'm walking in your direction, American Dragon. No matter who you choose as your partner, the result will be the same as at Summertime Showdown. You will go down at the hands of Eddie Crowe.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Still More Fighting" hits and Ryan Saito makes his way to the ring, along with David Caldwell.)
David: We've just been informed that the tag title match will happen at Liberty or Death, as the Pyro Twins defend against Stage One. But right now, the feeling out process begins with a series of two singles matches.
Dick: David Caldwell is confident he can lead his men to victory, and what a decoration the tag titles would make to the set of the David Caldwell Project.
("Burning Times" hits and Dusty Schneble makes his way to the ring.)
David: Dusty Schneble is one tough guy, even without his partner. Both Pyro Twins seem capable in singles matches.
Dick: A lot of the time, though, Dusty bites off more than he can chew. Let's see if Saito can take advantage of that.
(FINISH: Caldwell tries to trip Dusty as he bounces off the ropes, but Dusty avoids him and then baseball slides into him, knocking Caldwell down. Saito then lifts him into a fireman's carry and goes for Go to Sleep, but Dusty blocks the knee strike and gives Saito the Rope Burn I. He covers and gets the three count.)
Winner: Dusty Schneble
David: The Pyro Twins score first blood of the night as Dusty showed Caldwell what you get for trying to interfere and took care of Saito.
Dick: Dusty did the Pyro Twins proud, but there's still one more match to go as Jay Crowe will take on Jamie Chan later.
(Backstage, Nykk is waiting outside the ladies' locker room. After a few moments, Lisa Letty comes out holding an icepack to her neck.)
Nykk: Lisa!
Lisa: Hey, Nykk... listen, I'm not really up for doing anything tonight. That Zoetrope really got me good.
Nykk: That's not it... um... this is really hard for me... I wanted to tell you this last week, but I just couldn't find the words, but... I think I can do this. (takes a deep breath) I've really gotten to know you over the last seven months or so, and I found out that you're one of the nicest, caring and beautiful women I've ever met. You've been a great friend to me, but... I want it to be more than that. I really like you, Lisa, and would do anything for you. I don't know if you feel the same, but... I would just really like to pursue a relationship and see where it goes.
(Lisa throws down the icepack and wraps her arms around Nykk.)
Lisa: You have no idea how long I've been waiting to hear you say that...
(Before they can kiss, Trent Acid enters.)
Acid: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Before you two get all lovey-dovey, Nykk, there's something you should know. Lisa only has eyes for me, so why don't you just back the hell off and let a real man take over?
Nykk: Trent Acid... you think that's going to take me out of my game? It's you who I have to thank. It was your chasing of Lisa that finally made everything click for me, and I was able to realize my own feelings. And I will thank you personally, because I've got your ass in a rematch now. It's going to be me and you at Liberty or Death, and on July 29 I will thank you personally when we meet.
(Acid tries to grab Lisa's hand, but she shies away from him and clings to Nykk. Acid glares at Nykk and exits.)
Nykk: Suddenly I'm not in the mood for romance.
Lisa: Me either.
Nykk: But tomorrow I'll give you a call, and we'll have a nice little talk about... well, everything. Okay?
Lisa: It's a date.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Sweet Dreams" hits and the Concession Dream Team make their way to the ring, along with Medea Knight.)
David: We're back, and I can't believe that Nykk finally realized what all of us knew all along, that he had feelings for Lisa Letty. And what about that classless Trent Acid butting in on their moment?
Dick: Well, it upset him. He has a thing for Lisa himself.
David: Nykk and Lisa have promised to talk away from the cameras later, but right now we're set for tag team action as the CDT wants some revenge.
("Did My Time" hits and Ronin Fox and Cynric make their way to the ring.)
David: This started a couple of weeks ago when Cynric and Fox attacked Dreamo after Cynric beat him, for no other reason than they're sore at not being MECCA Tag Team Champions.
Dick: Dreamo was out of action last week, but was able to return on Rundown to get back in form for this match.
(FINISH: The CDT go for the Nocturnal Emission on Fox, but Cynric clips Concession Boy's knee, and Fox counters into the Tail End on Dreamo. Cynric puts CB in the tree of woe, and then Fox picks up Dreamo and feeds him to Cynric. Cynric powerbombs him into the corner, right onto CB's knees. He falls to the mat in pain, and Fox applies an STF. CB taps out.)
Winners: Ronin Fox and Cynric
David: The CDT's revenge was not to be as they have fallen at the hands of the brothers Fox and Cynric.
Dick: The CDT are out of their league. Cynric and Fox would be tag team champs if not for some shoddy officiating.
(Dreamo and CB get a couple of chairs and attack Fox and Cynric as they're celebrating. They beat them senseless with the chairs, and then Medea helps CB pick Fox up. Dreamo kicks him in the balls, and CB throws him out of the ring.)
David: The CDT have gotten their revenge, as they did to Fox and Cynric exactly what Dreamo had done to him two weeks ago!
Dick: This is just going to make Fox and Cynric angrier than they already are, and with Stage One the number one contenders for the tag titles, you can bet they'll be looking for the CDT in the weeks to come.
(In the locker room, Cheesecake is putting some things in his bag when Huh enters.)
Huh: Hey, Cheesecake! I hear we don't have a match tonight, so what do you say we hit the town, hit the bars and have some drinks?
Cheesecake: Hit the town... we're in Cleveland, everything closes after 5 PM! But... you really don't th'eem to care, do you?
Huh: Huh?
Cheesecake: Last week, I cheated to beat your a'th th'o I could move on to the main event. Remember, shot right to the te'th'ticles?
Huh: Well... you were just trying to win. I'd do the same for you, buddy.
(Cheesecake shakes his head and his cell phone rings. He answers it.)
Cheesecake: Hello? Hey, how'th it going? Yeah, can't wait. Right.
(He gets up and leaves the locker room, as Huh stares off into space.)
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Still More Fighting" hits and Jamie Chan makes his way to the ring, accompanied by David Caldwell.)
David: We're set for our second of two singles matches between the teams that will meet at Liberty or Death with the tag titles on the line. Earlier on, Dusty Schneble got the victory over Ryan Saito, and now it's time to see if Jamie Chan can save his team from embarrassment at the hands of the Pyro Twins.
Dick: I think we haven't yet seen what David Caldwell is planning. He's a dangerous guy to have at ringside.
("Burning Times" hits and Jay Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: Jay saw Dusty's victory earlier, and looks to make it a set.
Dick: He's ready, and has to be in higher spirits than Chan right now.
(FINISH: Chan goes for a moonsault, but Jay moves out of the way. He gives him a spinning heel kick and then sets him up for the Overhaul. Caldwell gets up on the apron, and Jay drops Chan to confront him. However, Dusty runs down to ringside and pulls Caldwell off the apron. The ref gets in between them as Jay looks on. Ryan Saito then comes in from the crowd and gives Jay a low blow from behind. Chan gives Jay a piledriver and covers for the three count.)
Winner: Jamie Chan
David: Jamie Chan picks up the victory thanks to the numbers game!
Dick: This ought to prove that Stage One is deserving of a tag title shot.
David: That didn't prove anything. They needed Caldwell and outside interference to get the win!
(Dusty slams his hands on the apron and goes under the ring, pulling out a can of ether. He gets in the ring as Stage One and Caldwell look apprehensive. Dusty takes out his Zippo and lights it. He sprays the ether into the flame, creating a fireball. Stage One and Caldwell bail, as does the ref. Jay gets a chair and starts hitting the ring steps with it. Dusty goes after the timekeeper's table as Jared Schrunk and the timekeeper run away. He puts the table in the middle of the ring and Jay lights it on fire. Dusty starts spraying the ring ropes with ether, but before he can light them, security gets in the ring and restrains them both.)
David: The Pyro Twins have gone on a rampage, and I'd tread carefully if I were Stage One and David Caldwell. We've seen before what the Pyro Twins are capable of when they snap.
Dick: Just as long as they don't come over here they can snap all they want.
David: When we return, we'll find out just who Bryan Danielson's dream partner will be!
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring.)
David: We're back and it's time for our main event, as the Pyro Twins have been ejected from the building by security for what happened before the break. We know that the main event of Liberty or Death is a dream partner tag match, but we don't know yet who Danielson and Eddie's partners will be.
Dick: They've had a week to pick them, and it's time to find out what the main event is going to be.
(Danielson gets a mic.)
Danielson: All right... you people are about to feast your eyes on a true professional wrestler. No sports entertainer, but a legitimate athlete and legitimate champion. Because after Summertime Showdown, I re-establish the fact that I am the best wrestler in the entire world and all you ingrates can shove it for booing me! But before I do that, there's Liberty or Death on July 29. And I've got a tag match against Eddie Crowe and his "dream partner." Well, my choice of partner is no dream. He is a nightmare. He is a monster. And he wants payback on Eddie Crowe more than just about anything. My partner is Kevin Stone!
("At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)
David: Danielson chose the MECCA Monster as his partner for July 29, and all I have to say is Eddie's choice had better be good.
Dick: Stone is a former MECCA Champion and was a dominant champion until being dethroned by Eddie. He came up short in his rematch at Midsummer Night Slam, and he wants to finally beat Eddie more than anything in the world.
("Hit That" hits and Joey Sprinklers and Delirious make their way to the ring.)
David: Joey has a tough test in front of him, especially against two main eventers like Stone and Danielson, and he doesn't even have his regular partner until the end of August, as Matt Sydal suffered an injury in the Four-Way match last week.
Dick: These two might as well just give up right now.
(FINISH: Joey gives Danielson a clothesline in the corner and goes for Da Sprinklanator, but Danielson escapes and counter into Cattle Mutilation. Delirious breaks it up, but Stone comes in and gives him a big boot. He picks up Delirious and gives him the Stone Crusher. Joey attacks Kevin, but Danielson hits him from behind. Stone and Danielson give him a Regalplex/clothesline combo, and Danielson gets the three count.)
Winners: Bryan Danielson and Kevin Stone
David: Danielson and Stone prove that they can work as a team, and they're looking sharp out there. Eddie Crowe is in for a tough battle come July 29.
Dick: Eddie has to have an ace up his sleeve if he wants to deal with these two.
("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: Speak of the devil, Eddie Crowe is out here now to announce who his partner is going to be.
Dick: The MECCA World Champion has his work cut out for him, and he knows it. He'd better be careful with these two out here.
(Eddie gets a mic.)
Eddie: Well, Kevin, I see you still haven't had enough. Maybe after Liberty or Death you'll learn once and for all that I have your number. I took this title from you, and I've been successful in keeping it from you. And Danielson, you're getting the same at Summertime Showdown, but since we have a chance to preview that at Liberty or Death, I want to introduce my partner. I talked to him in the back earlier, and he can't wait to take this opportunity and get back into the swing of things in MECCA. He gave me the fight of my life at Punked Out, and has been one of my toughest challenges so far... ladies and gentlemen, and monsters and dragons, my partner... Low Ki!
("Fighter's Passion" hits but Low Ki does not come out to the ring.)
David: Eddie has named Low Ki as his partner, but I don't see him anywhere. Is he even here tonight?
Dick: Eddie said he talked to him in the back, but I don't know. I wouldn't think that Low Ki would have any love for Eddie.
(As Eddie calls back for Ki, Stone and Danielson attack him from behind. They tie him up in the ropes and take turns kicking him and chopping him.)
David: Stone and Danielson have attacked, and Low Ki is nowhere to be seen. What does that mean?
(Danielson puts Eddie in the Crossface Chickenwing, and Stone comes down with a senton splash across Eddie's chest, causing him to tap out.)
David: There's no one here to help Eddie, as the Pyro Twins have been thrown out of the building, and we're out of time. Join us next week and maybe we'll find out what happened to Low Ki!
