Go Time: 6/21/06

Peoria, IL

Rundown Results:
Heather Star b. Misery
Concession Dream Team b. Stage One
Zoe Alexander b. Daizee Haze
Trent Acid b. Cheesecake

("Neocon" opening.)

David: We're here in Peoria, Illinois, as we count down to Midsummer Night Slam, featuring Six Man Apocalypse, this Saturday on pay-per-view. I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and this is Go Time!

Dick: And tonight, we'll see two members of the EDJ team up as MECCA World Champion Eddie Crowe teams with one half of the tag champs, his brother Jay, to take on the Killer Kanines.

David: And the other half of the tag champs will be in singles action, as Dusty Schneble will attempt to soften up Kevin Stone for this Saturday.

Dick: We've also been told that extra security will be present to make sure that for the safety of the wrestlers and the fans, this show does not degenerate into a big brawl like the event before every battle-royale type match in wrestling history.

("Hit That" hits and Joey Sprinklers skateboards to the ring.)

David: We're kicking things off with Joey Sprinklers, who will be involved in Six Man Apocalypse this Saturday.

Dick: He'll have the opportunity to draw from the upper echelon of numbers if he can defeat his opponent tonight.

("The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring.)

David: Bryan Danielson feels ripped off that he was not given the opportunity to wrestle Eddie Crowe on June 24, but he has vowed to win Six Man Apocalypse so he gets that title match on August 26.

Dick: This match is perfect for Danielson, even if he does lose his place in drawing from 15 to 25. This man can go however long this match lasts, whether it's fifty, sixty, or seventy minutes.

(FINISH: Joey misses a guillotine legdrop, and Danielson attempts to apply Cattle Mutilation. Joey manages to kick off the second turnbuckle and lands on top of Danielson for a close two count. Danielson quickly gets up and levels Joey with a roaring forearm. He applies a Crossface Chickenwing, and brings Joey down with a bodyscissors. Joey taps out.)

Winner: Bryan Danielson

David: Danielson wins it, but he sure did have a close call. It just goes to show how fragile a spot on the Contender Star really is.

Dick: Danielson recovered nicely, and that's the mark of a true headliner. I can't wait to see how he does this Saturday.

(Backstage, Trent Acid is walking down the hallway. He stops in front of the women's locker room and knocks on the door.)

Acid: Lisa! Lisa, are you in there?

(No one answers, and after a few moments, Nykk steps up to Acid.)

Nykk: I thought I'd find you here, Acid. I'm not telling you this again. Stay away from Lisa. I'm not talking as an employer here, I'm talking as her friend. If I see you come anywhere near her again, you're going to wish that I could fire you.

Acid: Well, Nykk, I don't think that you have any right to tell me who I can and can't talk to. You're not her boyfriend or anything...

(Nykk tackles Acid to the ground and starts pounding him with right hands. They go at it for a few moments before officials arrive to separate them.)

Acid: Come on! Let's go!

Nykk: Stay the f$%^ away from her you f@%#ing piece of @$%#! I'll f@#%ing @$#%$$^$#, you bastard!

Acid: F@$# you, you f$$#ing @#$#^#$@#! $#&$*^^#*&!

Nykk: @#$#%$&*@#$^^&#@#$#*(^*@(#^@#!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)

David: We're back, and what a heated confrontation we just saw between Nykk and Trent Acid. That has to be the filthiest segment ever aired on this show.

Dick: It seems to me that Acid feels like Nykk is being overprotective.

David: Lisa's turned him down a number of times now, and made it plain that she wants nothing to do with him. If he's going to stalk her like this, someone has to step in. Anyway, back to the action. Kevin Stone goes for the MECCA Championship this Saturday, and we have a bit of a policeman situation here, as he will be facing another EDJ member in Dusty Schneble.

("Burning Times" hits and Dusty Schneble makes his way to the ring.)

David: Dusty and Jay will be defending their tag titles this Saturday against Cynric and Ronin Fox, as well as being part of the Six Man Apocalypse. Right now he's out here to test Kevin Stone, and maybe do a little scouting for his friend Eddie Crowe, our MECCA Champion.

Dick: This will be a hard hitting match, as Stone is determined to have momentum going into Midsummer Night Slam, but Dusty doesn't want to lose face either.

(FINISH: Dusty nails Kevin with two clotheslines, but he doesn't go down. He bounces off the ropes, and Stone goes for a big boot. Dusty catches his foot and pulls him into the Rope Burn I. However, Stone grabs the top rope to block the move and kicks Dusty in the stomach as he gets up. He gives Dusty a Monster Bomb and covers for the three count.)

Winner: Kevin Stone

David: The MECCA Monster picks up the victory, and will go on to Midsummer Night Slam to attempt to regain the MECCA World Championship.

Dick: Stone proves his toughness every time he sets foot in a MECCA ring, and he just did it again by beating Dusty, who is no pushover himself.

(Stone grabs the camera and tells Eddie that at Midsummer Night Slam, the belt's coming back to him.)

(Backstage, LuFisto is stretching and getting ready for her match. As she's getting up, a garbage can comes sailing into her head. LuFisto goes down, and Gail Kim rushes her. She starts beating on her with right hands.)

Gail: You want to do this hardcore style on Saturday, LuFisto? Huh? You think I can't handle that? You're about to find out how wrong you are. It's time you got a sharp lesson.

(Gail grabs a pair of scissors and starts stabbing them into LuFisto's forehead, and drawing blood. As she digs the blades in, officials come in and pull her off of LuFisto.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)

David: Our officials have their hands full backstage tonight, as first Nykk attacks Trent Acid, and then our Ladies' Champion just attacked her challenger for this Saturday, who was supposed to wrestle tonight.

Dick: You have to watch your back at a MECCA event. You can never tell what's going to happen.

("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)

David: Cynric will of course be going for the tag titles this Saturday, as well as participating in Six Man Apocalypse. But he has a test for him right now, as he concludes his series of matches with Nykk that have taken place over the past few months.

Dick: Cynric wants some gold, and he has an opportunity not only this Saturday, but right here as he goes for a spot on the Contender Star.

(FINISH: Nykk goes for the Cedarleaf, but Cynric grabs the bottom rope. Nykk yanks him into the air and kneels down to give him a backbreaker. He then locks in the Cedarleaf, but Trent Acid comes down and gets on the apron. Nykk lets go of the hold and goes after Acid, but he scurries out of the way. Cynric forearms him from behind, and Nykk goes into the ropes. The ref backs Cynric off and Acid gets into the ring. Nykk hits him with right hands, but Acid ducks under one and nails Nykk with a superkick. Acid rolls out, and Cynric gives Nykk the Lift Off, covering for the three count.)

Winner: Cynric

David: Cynric has just beaten Nykk after blatant interference from Trent Acid, as he took exception to Nykk defending Lisa Letty earlier. This issue is developing before our eyes, but it just ruined this match!

Dick: And you know what this means? Cynric is on the Contender Star, which means he gets to pick from the higher numbers in Six Man Apocalypse, and Nykk just lost that right!

(Nykk rolls out of the ring, looking for Acid, but he's already left the ringside area.)

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Bryan Danielson.)

Bill: I'm here with the American Dragon Bryan Danielson, and Bryan, you told me earlier that Midsummer Night Slam will be your night because you're going to win the Six Man Apocalypse and go on to face the MECCA Champion at Summertime Showdown. What makes you so confident that you can outlast twenty-four other men?

Danielson: Bill, since this rule about Contender Star members drawing numbers 15 through 25 was announced, I've been forced to defend my spot twice. And look at what happened. I'm still on the Contender Star, and no one is going to take that spot from me, no matter how many times Katie Piehl tries to hold me back. Not only have I been able to stay there, I now get to draw a higher number in the Six Man Apocalypse. When everyone else is beaten down and tired, I'll still be going strong, and I will prove that I'm the best wrestler in the world when I make the last man tap and take home the prize. And whether it's Eddie Crowe or Kevin Stone or anyone else on August 26, your reign as MECCA Champion ends there. I'll make my title a trifecta, as I will be the first man in history to hold the ROH, FIP and MECCA Titles at the same time.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "My Friend of Misery" hits and Misery makes her way to the ring.)

David: Welcome back to Go Time, and we understand that Nykk is still looking for Trent Acid in the back, but Acid has apparently fled the building.

Dick: This has become not just an issue about a woman, but now an issue about competition, as Acid has cost Nykk his spot on the Contender Star. Nykk won't stand for that.

("Dance Commander" hits and Heather Star makes her way to the ring.)

David: This was supposed to be LuFisto, but with Gail Kim's attack earlier, LuFisto is being looked after by our physician and she will not wrestle tonight. Instead, Heavenly Heather Star is set to take her place and we now have a rematch from this week on Rundown.

Dick: Star will be attempting to revenge herself on Zoe Alexander this Saturday, after Zoe turned on her a few weeks ago.

(FINISH: Misery backdrops Star over the top rope, but Star lands on the ring apron. Misery snaps her neck across the top rope, and Star loses her balance and falls halfway into the ring, straddling the middle rope. Misery hits a springboard moonsault to bring her all the way back into the ring and covers for a two count. Misery goes for a suplex, but Heather escapes and pushes her into the ropes. She rolls her up, but Misery kicks out at two. Star bounces off the ropes and takes Misery over with a hurricanrana. She then hits a spinning heel kick and goes to the top rope, hitting the Falling Star Press. She covers for the three count.)

Winner: Heather Star

David: Heavenly Heather Star picks up the victory heading into Midsummer Night Slam, where she will be facing Zoe Alexander. When we come back, Jay and Eddie Crowe will take on the Killer Kanines, but right now the Pyro Twins are standing by.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with the Pyro Twins.)

Bill: I'm here once again with the MECCA Tag Team Champions, the Pyro Twins. Dusty, we saw you in action earlier, and Jay, you have a match coming up, but you'll be teaming up to defend those titles this Saturday against the brothers Ronin Fox and Cynric. How do you plan to deal with your toughest challenge yet as champions?

Jay: You're half right, Bill, they are a challenge, but toughest? We don't think in those terms. Because no matter how tough they are, they're going down just like everyone who has challenged us for these belts so far.

Dusty: We've already beat Fox, and granted, this team is much more experienced than he and Acid were, but the result will be the same. Fox, Cynric, we've known you two for what seems like forever. We played on the playgrounds together in elementary school. But now, you're coming for these titles, which makes you our enemies. We will prevail, and later on, we'll get to beat your asses again when I win the Six Man Apocalypse...

Jay: Dude. I'm in the match too, you know. That's not cool. Besides, I'm going to win.

Dusty: Jay, you have the worst luck of anyone I know. You'll probably draw number one.

(The Pyro Twins walk off the set, arguing.)

Bill: As you can see, with the chance to headline a pay-per-view in a World Title Match, even the best of friends are in disagreement about who's winning this match. We'll be back with the main event.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)

David: We're back with our tag team main event, as the Killer Kanines come out, and though they will be involved in the Six Man Apocalypse match this Saturday, they are determined to work their way up to another title shot in the tag team ranks.

Dick: They will be facing one half of the tag champs tonight, and you can bet that Jay is a target for them. Then again, a fall over the MECCA World Champion could lead to a future shot at that title.

("Noots" hits and Jay and Eddie Crowe make their way to the ring.)

David: Two thirds of the EDJ, the brothers Jay and Eddie Crowe, one half of the tag champs and the World Champion are teaming together tonight.

Dick: They're relatively inexperienced as a tag team, but do have experience on the Kanines as wrestlers. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top in this one.

(FINISH: Jay hits the Wild Wolf with a belly-to-belly suplex, and Eddie hits the Eddie Dive. He covers, but Anubis comes in and pulls Eddie off. He presses him above his head, but Jay hits him with a running forearm. Anubis staggers back and drops Eddie, who lands on his feet. Anubis charges him with a big boot, but Eddie sidesteps him, and Anubis puts his foot through the top and middle rope. Jay and Eddie give him a double dropkick, sending him over the top rope and hanging him by his foot. Wolf tries to attack from behind, but Jay and Eddie duck a double clothesline. Eddie staggers him with a back elbow and goes to the top rope as Jay sets Wolf up for the Overhaul. They give him an Overhaul/guillotine legdrop combo, and Eddie covers for the three count.)

Winners: Jay and Eddie Crowe

David: Jay and Eddie pick up the victory over the established team of Anubis and the Wild Wolf, and what a team these Crowe Brothers make.

Dick: Yeah, yeah, if they keep it up, maybe Jay will challenge himself for the tag titles. I'm more interested in what's going to go down in Six Man Apocalypse at Midsummer Night Slam.

David: We're sorry about the show ending early, fans, but the main event didn't go as long as we anticipated. We have one last commercial break, and then we understand that there's a preview package for the Six Man Apocalypse we were going to show before the pay-per-view, but we'll show it tonight... wait a minute...

(Eddie grabs a mic.)

Eddie: Anubis, Wild Wolf, you just found out what it's like to step into the ring with champions. And MECCA, you can have your big marathon match this Saturday, and any other contender matches you want, because this title is going nowhere. I'm going to beat Stone at the PPV, and whoever wins this Six Man Apocalypse is already a loser, because they're going down at my hands at Summertime Showdown. There will be none of this "The winner will face whoever the champion is," because I will be the champion then, and I will be the champion as long as I choose. Whoever faces me will go down, because I am Eddie Crowe, Harbinger of Sorrow. Men weep into their own hands after facing me, because they know they can never reach my level. They will stay mired in a miserable, second best existence.

(Kevin Stone makes his way through the curtain and starts yelling at Eddie. Eddie quickly notices him.)

Eddie: All right, Stone, we don't have to wait until Saturday. You want some of this? You didn't get enough at the MECCA Challenge? Come on!

(Stone storms to the ring as a host of officials and security come out to hold him back.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, officials are still holding Stone back, as Eddie gets out of the ring.)

David: We're desperately trying to maintain control here as Kevin Stone has made his way out, and Eddie Crowe has seen enough.

Dick: They were jawing all through the break, and no matter how many people we get out here, we can't seem to hold the MECCA Monster at bay!

(As Jay watches on from the ring, Ronin Fox and Cynric run in through the crowd. They attack Jay from behind, and start stomping on him. Dusty Schneble quickly makes his way out to even the odds, and the officials turn to separate the two teams, allowing Eddie and Kevin to finally reach each other. They brawl out of the building as officials attempt to separate the teams at ringside. However, out of nowhere, Nykk jumps the rail and goes after Cynric. He rolls him into the ring as Trent Acid comes out and jumps Nykk. He's quickly followed by Joey Sprinklers, Matt Sydal, the Killer Kanines, Alan Mayse, Bryan Danielson and the Eccentric Alliance.)

David: It's broken loose as even extra security as been unable to contain the MECCA competitors with just three days to go until Midsummer Night Slam. Who will headline Summertime Showdown on August 26? Find out this Saturday on pay-per-view!
