Go Time: 6/14/06

St. Louis, MO

Rundown Results:
Cynric b. The Human Tornado
Stage One b. Eccentrics
Concession Dream Team b. Sydal/Sprinklers
Danielson/Killer Kanines b. Nykk/Pyro Twins

("Neocon" opening.)

David: This week, MECCA comes to you from St. Louis, Missouri, and this is Go Time! I'm David Mills.

Dick: I'm Dick Broccoli, and tonight, Alan Mayse puts his Toughman Title on the line against the Wild Wolf!

David: Bryan Danielson will also be in action as he takes on Matt Sydal.

Dick: And the other half of the Killer Kanines will be in action, as Anubis teams with Kevin Stone to take on the Pyro Twins.

("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)

David: We're starting off quick with a tag team match. Nykk is out here, and he will be a part of the Six Pack Apocalypse Match on June 24.

Dick: He's on the Contender Star, so as of right now he draws between numbers fifteen to twenty-five, but if he does win, he may be facing his partner tonight at Summertime Showdown.

("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)

David: Eddie Crowe is coming off of a fantastic match with Ronin Fox last week, one of the greatest MECCA Championship defenses ever. If not for all the interference, who can say which way that match would have went?

Dick: It would have ended with Ronin Fox on top, just like it should have.

("Did My Time" hits and Ronin Fox and Cynric make their way to the ring.)

David: Speaking of which, even though Fox and Cynric have been given a tag title shot at the Pyro Twins, they wanted this match so Fox could get some revenge on Eddie.

Dick: Fox and Cynric may be brothers, but don't expect them to just walk all over Eddie and Nykk. They've teamed together before and in fact, wrestled for the MECCA Tag Team Championship once.

(FINISH: Eddie hits the Eddie Dive on Cynric, but Kevin Stone comes out and drapes Cynric's foot across the bottom rope. Eddie yells at Stone and then whips Cynric into the ropes. Fox blind tags himself in, but Eddie nails him with a back body drop. Nykk goes outside and goes after Stone, but the ref gets between them. Cynric gets on the apron and dives at Nykk, and the ref then tries to separate those two. Eddie lifts Fox for the running brainbuster, but Stone nails him with a big boot. Fox counters into the Tail End and covers as Stone gets out of the ring. Fox covers and gets the three count.)

Winners: Ronin Fox and Cynric

David: Fox and Cynric win by dubious means after the interference of Eddie's opponent at Midsummer Night Slam, Kevin Stone.

Dick: The head games have already started.

David: They will face off on June 24, the same night Fox and Cynric get a shot at the Pyro Twins. We'll be right back with the David Caldwell Project!

(Commercial Break)

(The David Caldwell Project set is in the ring, and David Caldwell has the mic.)

Caldwell: Welcome to where the magic happens, where the main events are made, where yours truly reigns supreme! This is the David Caldwell Project, and I am your host, David Caldwell. This week is sort of a ladies' edition of the show, as I will be interviewing my first female guest. She is a true trooper in the ladies' division, and last week she dropped Heather Star like a bad habit. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Zoe Alexander!

("TKO" hits and Zoe Alexander makes her way to the ring.)

David: Zoe Alexander has been stepping it up as of late, but last week she threw a fit when she believed that Heather Star cost her their tag team match.

Dick: She has a right to be upset. It was Heather that dropped the ball.

Caldwell: Zoe, lately you've been trying harder than ever. You've added new moves to your repertoire, and some have even started calling you the Extractor because of all the fireman's carry setups you use. But last week, you used one of those moves on Heavenly Heather Star, your own partner. Quite frankly, my dear... I'm so proud of you that I can barely stand it.

Zoe: That can be attributed to one thing... I was simply sick of losing. I've played it straight and narrow for months, and it's gotten me nothing. You know, Heather's been calling me all week looking for an apology, and I've never been able to dial her number. Not because of how sorry I am, because I'm not. The whole thing was her fault anyway. I couldn't talk to her because I no longer wish to associate with a loser like her.

Caldwell: I couldn't have said it better myself. Now that the gloves are off, what does the future hold for Zoe Alexander?

Zoe: I see a golden future absolutely riddled with accolades, because I don't care if it's Gail Kim or LuFisto... I'm coming for that title. And there's nothing...

("Dance Commander" hits and Heather Star makes her way to the ring.)

David: We've just heard Zoe's reasons for doing what she did, and here comes Heather Star to confront her former friend.

Caldwell: Heather Star, what are you doing? You are not a guest on this show. If you want a chance to speak your mind, take a number and maybe I can work you in somewhere around early 2008.

Star: Shut up, Caldwell. Zoe, how could you? You were my friend, and you attacked me? You place blame on me for what happened? I admit it, I screwed up, but that's no reason to act like a total bitch! Yeah, that got your attention, didn't it? Well, you want to work your way up to a Ladies' Title shot and that's fine, but first you've got to go through me. At Midsummer Night Slam, I want you in the ring, one on one.

Zoe: You want me in a match? I have no problem with that, because I'm going to prove what I've been saying all along. You are weak, Heather, and when I get through with you, you will be begging for mercy, but you know what? That's no longer on my plate.

("TKO" hits and Zoe leaves the ring.)

David: Heather just challenged Zoe to a match at Midsummer Night Slam, and Zoe accepted. We have more ladies' action on June 24, live on pay-per-view.

Dick: This should be interesting, as whoever gets the victory should move up in the rankings.

David: We have to take a break, but when we come back we'll have Danielson vs. Sydal!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "My 7th Rib" hits and Matt Sydal makes his way to the ring.)

David: We're back on Go Time, and Matt Sydal is ready to step into the ring and make his mark.

Dick: He definitely wants to get on the Contender Star, because that will guarantee him a higher draw in the Six Pack Apocalypse Match on June 24.

("The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring.)

David: The American Dragon puts his Contender Star position on the line, and you know he considers this Six Pack Apocalypse Match as a big deal. It's a guaranteed shot at the MECCA World Championship, and a main event position on one of MECCA's biggest shows of the year.

Dick: Danielson was excluded from the Triangle Match last week because he had just recently won his way back on the Contender Star, and now is his chance to prove that he can stay up there and is deserving of the title.

(FINISH: Sydal goes for the Cyclorama, but Danielson pushes him off and then hits him with a European uppercut from the top rope. He covers, but only gets a two count. He goes for Cattle Mutilation, but Sydal gets a foot on the bottom rope. Danielson brings him to his feet and places him on the top turnbuckle. He goes for a back superplex, but Sydal elbows him in the head, and Danielson drops to the mat. Sydal moonsaults backwards and catches Danielson in position for a reverse DDT, dropping his leg across the chest. He pulls Danielson up and hits the Here It Is Driver, but Danielson barely kicks out at two. Sydal whips him into the corner, but Danielson tips up and dropkicks Sydal into the corner. He gives him a tiger suplex, bridging for a two count. He rolls Sydal over and applies Cattle Mutilation, and this time Sydal taps.)

Winner: Bryan Danielson

David: Danielson earned a hard fought victory here, as Sydal almost had him clean in the middle of the ring.

Dick: Everyone on the Contender Star desperately wants to hang onto those spots, but every now and then you get a little upstart like Sydal who gives you more trouble than he's worth. Thankfully, the American Dragon was able to shut him down.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Eddie Crowe.)

Bill: I'm here with MECCA World Champion Eddie Crowe, and Eddie, at Midsummer Night Slam you will be defending that belt against Kevin Stone. But from what happened earlier, it looks like Kevin doesn't want to wait that long to get in your face.

Eddie: Stone doesn't want to wait that long to put his foot in my face, that's for sure. Kevin, you may have cost me my tag match tonight, but it doesn't matter. Because at Midsummer Night Slam, you get your rematch for the MECCA World Championship. I can tell you're all business, but I'm not playing either. This title means more to me than just about anything else in the world, and I'm not going to let you have it back. Kick me in the face all you want, give me as many Stone Cutters as you want, because it doesn't make any difference. After Midsummer Night Slam, I will still be the MECCA Champion, and to the winner of the Six Pack Apocalypse, be prepared for Summertime Showdown. Watch my match with Kevin. Because all you're going to get on that night is the same.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Brackish" hits and Gail Kim and Shadow make their way to the ring.)

David: It's time for action in the ladies' division, as the MECCA Ladies' Champion and Shadow are on their way to the ring. These two are both formerly of the Dangerous Liaison, but that group was forced to disband back at the MECCA Challenge II, and I don't think that Shadow in particular cared too much.

Dick: Shadow would love to challenge for the Ladies' Title, so Gail better watch her back.

(Gail gets a mic.)

Gail: Hey, LuFisto... let me disillusion you a little bit. You seem to think that I'm afraid of your big, bad hardcore style. Well, I willingly accepted your challenge for Midsummer Night Slam, because I intend to prove that your bark is worse than your bite, you bitch!

(LuFisto comes out and stalks down the aisle, with security attempting to hold her back.

David: LuFisto is out here now, and this is not supposed to happen. We're supposed to have Daizee Haze and Kelly Schweickart out here for a tag match!

Gail: No, let her through. You see, because I've been LuFisto's only true friend here in MECCA, and through our exploits as the Dangerous Liaison, she made enemies out of every lady wrestler in this company. If you want to wrestle us, fine, but I don't see who in their right mind would team with you.

("Edge of Seventeen" hits and Lisa Letty walks down the aisle. She shares a glance with LuFisto and they charge the ring.)

David: Lisa Letty is out here, and it looks like we have a new match!

(FINISH: Shadow goes for the Interceptor, but Lisa ducks and hits a northern lights suplex. She bridges for the pin, but Gail comes in and kicks her in the ribs. LuFisto comes in and takes Gail through the ropes as Shadow knees Lisa in the midsection. She whips her into the ropes and charges, but Lisa gets her feet up. She goes to the second turnbuckle and bulldogs Shadow, covering for the three count.)

Winners: Lisa Letty and LuFisto

David: Lisa and LuFisto pick up the win, as Lisa came through for her trainer!

Dick: I wonder what's going through Lisa's mind, as LuFisto did train her, but they've been on opposite sides ever since Lisa scored the upset to become the first Ladies' Champion.

(LuFisto gets in the ring and celebrates with Lisa, but Gail comes in with a chair and hits Lisa across the back with it. LuFisto turns around, but gets the chair in her face. Gail gets on top of LuFisto and hits her with right hands. Lisa tries to make the save, but Shadow grabs her from behind and puts her in the dragon sleeper. Gail goes under the ring and brings out a kendo stick. She hits LuFisto over the head with it and then chokes her until some officials come down to break it up.)

David: Gail Kim shows that she's not afraid to work a hardcore style, but she had to do it by attacking from behind.

Dick: She's willing to keep that title at all costs, and it may cost her all to keep it at Midsummer Night Slam.

David: Still to come, Alan Mayse defends the Toughman Title against the Wild Wolf. We'll be right back.

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Katie Piehl is in her office.)

Katie: Welcome back to Go Time, fans, and as you know, we're gearing up for this experiment called the Six Pack Apocalypse at Midsummer Night Slam. You all know the rules of this match by now, but I have some big news regarding the participants. Back at the MECCA Challenge II, the UK Wrecking Crew were set on fire by the Pyro Twins and we have not seen them since. Well, Jack Fletcher and Andy Nathans will make their return to MECCA in the coming weeks and will be a part of the Six Pack Apocalypse. We look forward to seeing these two talented athletes make their return to a MECCA ring. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of the show.

(In the arena, David Mills and Dick Broccoli are at the broadcast booth.)

David: What a night it's been and we have more to come. The UK Wrecking Crew will be a part of the Six Pack Apocalypse. How about that?

Dick: This makes for a star studded lineup as they join participants like Nykk, Bryan Danielson, Ronin Fox, Cynric, the Pyro Twins, Low Ki, and Alan Mayse among others.

("At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone and Anubis make their way to the ring.)

David: We have some tag team action as Kevin Stone has chosen Anubis as his partner tonight to face off against Jay Crowe and Dusty Schneble.

Dick: You know that this is just one more way to get at Eddie Crowe, by beating up fellow EDJ members.

("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)

David: This is a non-title match, but the Pyro Twins don't care. They're always willing to fight anyone.

Dick: But a win in a non-title match can propel you to a title shot. We've seen it happen recently with Ronin Fox and Trent Acid.

(FINISH: Stone goes for the Stone Cutter on Jay, but he lands on his feet and pushes Kevin into Dusty, who backdrops him over the top rope. The Pyro Twins duck a double clothesline from Anubis and then hit him with Final Darkness. Anubis stumbles, but doesn't go down. They give him another Final Darkness, which finally takes him down, and Jay covers, but Stone comes in with a chair and cracks Jay over the back with it. The ref calls for the bell.)

Winners: The Pyro Twins

David: Stone and Anubis have been disqualified, and he just ruined a great, competitive match.

Dick: This wasn't about winning to Stone. He's sending a message to the MECCA Champion.

(Stone cracks Dusty over the head with the chair and then leans into the camera, telling Eddie that he'll be laid out the same as his friends come June 24.)

David: Stone is determined to win back the MECCA World Championship at Midsummer Night Slam, but up next, we have a title match for you here on Go Time, as Alan Mayse defends the Toughman Title against the Wild Wolf.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Gail Kim.)

Bill: I'm here with MECCA Ladies' Champion Gail Kim. Gail, as you know, you have to defend your title in a Hardcore Match at Midsummer Night Slam, against the First Lady of Hardcore herself, LuFisto. Earlier, you showed that you were willing to play the hardcore game, but just how far are you willing to take it on June 24?

Gail: I'm taking it all the way, Bill. People think that because of the way I wrestle that all I can do is slap on submission holds. LuFisto, you're about to find out that you can't hang with me in any style match. I've been Ladies' Champion longer than anyone, and I don't plan on letting go of the belt anytime soon. As a matter of fact, I'm so confident that I'll win this match, I'm making a challenge for Liberty or Death on July 29. Lisa Letty, you think you can come out and embarrass me and beat myself and Shadow in a tag match? You're just like that stray cat I can't seem to get rid of. Bring your little ass to Dayton on July 29. Because if I can take care of your teacher, I can damn sure take care of you.

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Lisa Letty is exiting the locker room with her bag when she sees Trent Acid standing at the end of the hall, smiling. Lisa sighs in disgust.)

Lisa: I know what you're going to say. The answer is no.

Acid: Come on, Lisa. One of these days you're going to say yes, and when that happens, I'm going to show you the time of your life.

(Lisa shakes her head and tries to walk past him, but Trent blocks her.)

Acid: Don't be like that. I'm really not a bad guy...

(Suddenly, Nykk walks up from behind. He grabs Acid by the hair and shoves him away.)

Nykk: I think I heard a no in there somewhere, Acid. Why don't you get the hell out of here?

Acid: Hey, I didn't mean to cause any troubles, boss. No worries. I'll see you guys later.

(Acid leaves.)

Lisa: Thanks, Nykk.

Nykk: What I'm here for, right?

Lisa: You're here for a little more than that, surely?

(She puts her hand on Nykk's arm. Nykk moves to the side and smiles a bit sadly as he motions her through the hallway.)

(In the arena, "Kobrakai" hits and the Wild Wolf makes his way to the ring.)

David: Can you believe Trent Acid? I know he's got this thing for Lisa, but she's turned him down already, and I guess Nykk felt he was being too pushy. Right now, however, a challenge was made last week, and this week it will happen as the Wild Wolf goes for the Toughman Title.

Dick: The title is allowed to be challenged by anyone, as there is no hierarchy of challengers like with the World Title. The Wild Wolf took advantage of that.

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)

David: This is Alan Mayse's first title in MECCA and he is not about to let it go without a fight.

Dick: The Wild Wolf is a formidable competitor, so it will be interesting to see if he can score the upset over the more experienced Mayse.

(FINISH: The Wild Wolf goes for the Kanine Kruncher, but Alan twists and takes him over with a victory roll for two. They get up, but Wolf clotheslines Alan. He signals for the Twig Snap, and jumps up to lock in the headscissors. However, Alan doesn't go down and hooks Wolf's arms. He brings him back up to hit a modified Tiger Bomb, covering for the three count.)

Winner: Alan Mayse

David: Alan Mayse retains, and the Wild Wolf will have to wait for another day to prove that he's the tougher man.

Dick: Alan plans on breaking his own personal record with this belt, and he's been off to a great start, as he's had little trouble retaining it so far.

David: We'll see you next week on Go Time, fans, as we count down to Midsummer Night Slam on June 24. Good night!
