Go Time: 5/10/06

Chicago Ridge, IL

Quick Rundown Results: Daizee Haze b. Lisa Letty, Shadow, Zoe Alexander
The Wild Wolf b. Concession Boy
Dusty Schneble b. Trent Acid
Kevin Stone b. Joey Sprinklers

("Neocon" opening.)

David: We are here in Chicago Ridge, Illinois, at the Frontier Fieldhouse, as MECCA presents Go Time! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and tonight we will see Nykk take on Kevin Stone.

Dick: Nykk is looking to get back on the Contender Star, and he's coming after the former champ's spot.

David: This will be Stone's first match back since he lost the MECCA Championship at the MECCA Challenge II, and he will be pissed off. Also, the Killer Kanines will take on the Concession Dream Team, and we have two very different debuts tonight.

Dick: Yes, first the debut of the talk segment the David Caldwell Project, and also the new sensation from California, the Human Tornado, will be debuting.

("Sensi" hits and Daizee Haze makes her way to the ring.)

David: We're kicking things off with a Ladies' Title match, as it has been quite a while since we've seen Gail Kim defend the belt.

Dick: Daizee Haze is fairly new to the scene here in MECCA, but she has scored some impressive victories, and is out for revenge after Kim injured her knee and almost prevented her from competing in the MECCA Challenge elimination match.

("Brackish" hits and Gail Kim makes her way to the ring.)

David: The Ladies' Champion has held the title for almost six months now, and if she can make it to the end of the month, she surpasses the record of our first Ladies' Champion, Lisa Letty.

Dick: I hope that's not making her look past Daizee Haze. Haze is a spitfire, and she'll do whatever she has to do to win that title.

(FINISH: Daizee hits Gail with a heart punch, and then goes for a flying headscissors takeover, but Gail puts her back on her feet and does a flying headscissors of her own, segueing into the Christo. Daizee starts to fade, but before she falls she manages to drive Gail down with a modified Emerald Fusion. She covers, but Gail barely kicks out at two. Daizee signals for the Yakuza Kick and hits it, but Gail grabs the ropes and won't let go. Daizee tries to pull her off, but referee Nikki Alvarado tells her to let Gail get up. Gail quickly gets up and pokes Daizee in the eyes. She rolls her up and grabs the ropes for extra leverage, getting the three count.)

Winner: Gail Kim

David: Gail Kim wins it just barely, as it looked like Daizee was on a roll, and we might have had a new Ladies' Champion.

Dick: Gail pulls out another victory, but she has a lot of potential challengers waiting in the wings and no one to help her now that the Dangerous Liaison is dead and gone.

(Gail walks up the aisle with the belt, taunting Daizee.)

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Trent Acid.)

Bill: Trent Acid, at the MECCA Challenge II, you lost in the finals of the Toughman Tournament to Alan Mayse, and thus lost the chance to become the first Toughman Champion. Do you plan to continue to pursue the belt or is Trent Acid on to other things now?

Acid: Absolutely I'll pursue the belt, and I will win it. Mayse, you got lucky at the MECCA Challenge, and I say beating me once means nothing. So why don't you do it again. We have this Punked Out event coming up on May 28 on FSN, so how about we do it once again. I'm challenging you for the title, Alan Mayse, and this time I want a First Blood Match!

Bill: A First Blood Match? With all due respect, Trent, I think you may want to rethink that. Alan has experience in those matches, and you're mostly a high flier and technical wrestler.

Acid: It doesn't matter. I lost in the Ladder Match, okay? Obviously my skills didn't help me then. But now, if I have to make Alan bleed to become Toughman Champion, that's exactly what I'll do. Accept my challenge, Alan. Show me that you are a true Toughman Champion.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "The Immigrant Song" hits and the Concession Dream Team make their way to the ring.)

David: We're back on Go Time, and what is Trent Acid thinking challenging Alan Mayse to a First Blood Match? He has to be up to something.

Dick: The last thing we need is more people injured. We've already lost the Eccentrics and Ronin Fox and Cynric for this week due to that brutal Falls Count Anywhere Match.

("Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)

David: This match was set up over the last week on MECCA programming. First, Dreamo got a DQ win over Anubis and then brawled to the back with him, and on Rundown, the Wild Wolf got the win over Concession Boy. Katie Piehl decided to just settle this and make a tag match.

Dick: The CDT better watch themselves. The Killer Kanines look driven this week.

(FINISH: Dreamo applies the Morning Stretch on the Wild Wolf, but Anubis falls into him with an Ankh Smash to break it up. Concession Boy charges Anubis, but gets a spinebuster. Wolf places Dreamo on the top rope and Anubis ascends an adjacent corner. They hit the Dog Catcher, and Anubis covers for the three count.)

Winners: The Killer Kanines

David: The Killer Kanines decisively get the win, and you know that has to be satisfying for them.

(The Wild Wolf gets a mic.)

Wolf: My partner and I have been coming out here and winning tag match after tag match for months, and this is the first chance we've gotten to speak. Well, the big man here doesn't talk much, so I'm going to voice both our thoughts. It seems we have new tag champs here in MECCA. Before we got a little tripped up back in March, we were on our way to challenging for those belts, and we would have won them at the MECCA Challenge II. But be that as it may, we're going to be a month late with that goal. Because on May 28, Punked Out, we want you, Jay Crowe and Dusty Schneble to show up in Detroit. Those belts are going to the dogs, and it's going to be us to lead the tag team division of MECCA, not you!

("Kobrakai" plays as the Killer Kanines exit the ring.)

David: Another title challenge has been made for Punked Out, as the Wild Wolf and Anubis want first crack at the Pyro Twins' tag titles.

Dick: Jay and Dusty aren't scheduled for any defenses until May 28, and the Killer Kanines may have the best claim to a shot with the UK Wrecking Crew out of action.

David: Stay with us, fans, because when we come back, we're going to see what this David Caldwell Project thing is all about.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, the ring's mat is covered with a light blue tarp, and a couple of wooden chairs are in the ring, with a cheesy "David Caldwell Project" logo behind it. David Caldwell has the mic, and is dressed in a suit, with a leather jacket on in place of a regular jacket.)

David: We're back on Go Time, and what the hell is David Caldwell wearing?

Dick: It's called fashion, Mills.

David: It's called dressing yourself in the dark.

Caldwell: I told you people that I had something big in store, and here it is! The David Caldwell Project, coming at you live from the ring! You know, I have to say that I enjoyed my time as a backstage interviewer, but let's face it... if I had stayed any longer, poor Bill Bicknell would be out of a job, because I always got the best comments, and I always got to the bottom of what was happening in MECCA. Besides, that role is just a prop, and I was tired of being a tool.

David: That's the truest thing he's ever said.

Caldwell: So with that out of the way, let me introduce you to my first guest. He made history at the MECCA Challenge II by becoming the first ever Toughman Champion, and he is a former RCW and FPPVW Champion... I don't like him, but you people love him... Alan Mayse!

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)

Dick: What a great start Caldwell's off to, with the introduction of our Toughman Champion! He sure knows how to get the guests.

David: Yeah, like we never see Alan Mayse around.

(Alan poses with the belt, but is cut off by Caldwell.)

Caldwell: All right, cut the music. Enough of that. Alan, you've been chasing titles here in MECCA for a year now, and you failed time and time again. And just when we thought for sure that you were done... you failed again! But then, on April 29, you won the Toughman Tournament and became the first Toughman Champion. How does it feel to actually have luck on your side for once?

Alan: I don't know what you mean by luck, because I got through the Toughman Tournament on sheer dedication, preparation, talent and I'll admit it, a little luck. This is my first title in MECCA, and I'll be damned if anyone's going to take it from me, as Matt Sydal found out last week. And speaking of last week, I think I'll take this opportunity to finish what I was going to say. You know, I held the RCW Championship for quite some time, 290 days to be exact. Well, in the interest of building up the prestige of this title, I'm declaring right now that I'm going to top my personal best and beat that record. Now, as for Trent Acid and his First Blood Match challenge, I'll be glad to take you up on that, Acid. It'll just have to be delayed a little. Because it's no secret that my intention is also to go after the MECCA Championship. And since I won the Toughman Tournament, beating out guys who were on the Contender Star, I'd say I more than deserve a shot. So what I'd like to do right now is make a challenge to Eddie Crowe for Punked Out. When I step into the ring with the champ, I'll become the...

("Fighter's Passion" suddenly hits and Low Ki makes his way to the ring.)

David: Alan Mayse wants the MECCA Championship as well, but here comes one man who disagrees with that plan. I hope Caldwell kept the receipt from JC Penney or wherever he got that furniture, because Low Ki's disagreements usually end in violence.

Caldwell: What an honor, ladies and gentlemen! Low Ki is now the second guest on my show, and if I may be so bold, I will call him the greatest guest in the history of this program. Low Ki, what brings you out here tonight?

Low Ki: I've heard and seen a lot of things in my time that would make a normal man squeamish, but what I just heard out here had me throwing up in the back. Mayse, do you honestly think that I would allow you to challenge Eddie at Punked Out? I won the four-way match a few weeks back, I beat the hell out of Sprinkles at the MECCA Challenge, and I am the rightful number one contender for that title. I've been on the Contender Star since February 1...

Alan: Excuse me, did you win the Toughman Tournament? And I've been on the Contender Star just as long as you have, Low Ki. You think you can just come out here and...

Caldwell: All right, all right, you two, I think I have a great idea! Tonight, the main event of Go Time, we have a number one contender's match! Alan Mayse will take on Low Ki, and the winner goes on to challenge for the title at Punked Out!

Alan: I'm cool with that. It's much more fun earning championships by taking on the toughest competition to get there.

(He extends his hand to Low Ki. Low Ki just smirks and backs away.)

Low Ki: Just get ready to fall at my feet when I put two through you.

Caldwell: There you have it, ladies and gentlemen! The main event tonight will be Alan Mayse vs. Low Ki, winner gets a title shot at Punked Out, and it's all thanks to my show!

David: Wait a minute, can Caldwell even do this? He has no booking power.

Dick: He just did! We're seeing Mayse vs. Ki tonight!

David: Alan and Low Ki seem to have accepted his word, but I don't know. Maybe we'll get a ruling on this later on from Katie Piehl. When we come back, Nykk takes on Kevin Stone!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)

David: The MECCA Monster Kevin Stone is not a happy man these days. He's been pissed off ever since he lost the MECCA Championship to Eddie Crowe.

Dick: He definitely wants a rematch for the belt, but as an active member of the Contender Star he'll have to defend his position if he wants a title shot anytime soon.

("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)

David: This will also be Nykk's return to action after a brutal, hard-hitting MECCA Challenge where he knocked out Charlie Haas in his last MECCA match.

Dick: Nykk wants to get back on the Contender Star, but with Alan Mayse, Low Ki, Cynric and Kevin Stone all wanting title shots, Nykk may have to wait a bit.

David: He got into a fight backstage last week with Cynric for just that reason. Cynric does not want to see Nykk return to the Contender Star.

(FINISH: Nykk staggers Stone with a running leg lariat and then hits him with a European uppercut. Stone falls to a sitting position in the corner, and Nykk bounces off the ropes for the running knee. However, Stone gets to his feet and catches Nykk with the Stone Cutter. He covers, but Nykk drapes a foot on the ropes. Kevin picks Nykk up and whips him into the corner. He charges with a big boot, but Nykk moves and Stone hangs himself up. As he gets away from the corner, Nykk climbs the turnbuckles. However, Cynric runs down and slides into the ring. He jaws with Nykk for a moment, and then turns and nails Stone with a crescent kick. Stone staggers back into the corner, and the ref calls for the bell as Cynric leaves.)

Winner: Kevin Stone

David: Cynric looked like he was about to lay into Nykk. He had him. Why did he attack Stone?

Dick: Don't you see? By attacking Stone, he gives him the victory by DQ. Nykk's not on the Contender Star!

(Nykk looks at Cynric in disbelief, unaware of Stone getting up behind him. He turns around and walks right into a Stone Crusher. Stone leaves as his music plays.)

David: Kevin Stone wants to regain the MECCA Championship, but this lack of decisive victory won't work for him in petitioning for a title shot. He may have to wait until after Punked Out.

(Backstage, Katie Piehl is standing by her desk when David Caldwell enters the office.)

Caldwell: Yes, Ms. Piehl?

Katie: Let's get one thing straight, Caldwell. You do not make the decisions around here. I gave you that talk segment because you had done a good job as backstage interviewer, and I like to reward my employees who do a good job with opportunities. But you do not, I repeat, do not make matches. That's my job.

Caldwell: I know, Ms. Piehl, and I never would have done it if I didn't want my show to succeed so bad. I just got caught up in the moment... but that's no excuse. I'll go tell Alan and Low Ki that the match is off.

Katie: With that said, since you already got the fans' hopes up, I'm giving them an Alan Mayse vs. Low Ki main event tonight. But if it happens again, I'm yanking your show and you'll be relegated to cleaning any bathroom that Huh's been using. Got it?

Caldwell: Yes, ma'am.

(Katie leaves the office, and Caldwell smirks.)

(Elsewhere, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Eddie Crowe.)

Bill: Eddie, you won the MECCA Championship at the MECCA Challenge, and next week you will return to action in your first title defense. How does it feel now that you're wearing your first title in your short career?

Eddie: Not only is it my first title, it's my first major title. I can't wait for next week, because I don't even know who I'll be facing yet. It could be Kevin Stone, it could be Cynric, or even Low Ki or Alan Mayse. It makes no difference, because I'll be carrying this weight for a long time. And after I'm done with them, I plan on making this belt a World Title. I'll be taking it to Mexico and the UK and Canada and Japan, and I'll defend it against the best they've got. I plan on becoming the greatest champion in MECCA's short history and setting the bar for those in the years and decades to come. And it's all beginning next week.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Still More Fighting" from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children hits and Ryan Saito makes his way to the ring.)

David: We're back with two newcomers who are going to show us what they've got right here on Go Time. First up is Ryan Saito.

Dick: I don't know a lot about Saito except that he comes from the West Coast, so it will be interesting to see what style he uses.

("Cool" by Suga Free hits and the Human Tornado makes his way to the ring.)

David: The Human Tornado also comes from the West Coast, Los Angeles, California to be exact, and he's trying to expand beyond that area of the country by performing here in MECCA.

Dick: Don't let the tall, skinny frame fool you. This guy can fly with the best of them, and look good doing it. Apparently, he's also "hard as iron" whatever that means.

(Before the ref can get in the ring, Saito attacks Tornado with some forearms and then kicks him below the belt. Tornado just stands there with his hands on his hips and then backhands Saito across the face, sending him through the ropes.)

David: I guess that's what he means!

(FINISH: Saito whips Tornado into the corner, but Tornado reverses and charges, hitting a spinning clothesline. Saito falls to the mat and sits up. Tornado starts dancing, making sure to kick Saito in the face every time he steps in. He spins and does the splits, "accidentally" kicking Saito in the nuts in the process. Referee Keith Young admonishes him, but Tornado manages to convince him that it wasn't on purpose. Meanwhile, Saito gets up and goes for a clothesline. Tornado ducks behind him and cradles the leg. He takes him over with a back suplex, flipping Saito all the way over so that he crashes to the mat on his ribs. Tornado covers and gets the three count.)

Winner: The Human Tornado

David: The Human Tornado is successful in his debut, the fans certainly seem to love his act.

Dick: The guy is certainly fun-loving, but only time will tell if he can make it here in MECCA.

(As Tornado dances, Saito argues with the ref over the low blow. Finally, he shoves the ref away and clotheslines Tornado from behind. He hits him with some right hands and then lifts him into a fireman's carry. He executes Go to Sleep and spits on Tornado before leaving the ring.)

David: I guess Saito decided he wasn't going to be a sportsman about losing the match. Nonetheless, Human Tornado is your winner.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is catching up with Nykk, who is on his way out of the arena.)

Bill: Nykk! After what happened out there with you and Cynric, you have to be angry with him for costing you the chance to get back on the Contender Star.

Nykk: Angry isn't the word for it, Bill. You see, Cynric knows that if I get on the Contender Star, he'll have to beat me before he gets to Eddie Crowe. And he can't beat me! So, Cynric, since I can't have Stone's spot, I'm going to take yours. I'm going to petition Katie for a match with you at Punked Out, and when I arrive at the arena next week, I'd better have it!

(Nykk storms out the door.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Fighter's Passion" hits and Low Ki makes his way to the ring.)

David: It's time for our main event, and we heard just before the break, another possible match for Punked Out. Nykk has challenged Cynric.

Dick: He was right, Nykk does have a nearly flawless record against Cynric, and that could be why he doesn't want Nykk back on the Contender Star.

David: But right now, we'll find out who gets a shot at the MECCA Championship at Punked Out.

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)

David: Our first Toughman Champion also wants the MECCA Championship around his waist, but Low Ki took exception to his claim at being number one contender.

Dick: David Caldwell basically forced this match to happen earlier, when he told all the fans it would happen. Katie Piehl wasn't too thrilled he did that, but it did result in this great main event.

(FINISH: Ki hits Mayse with the Tidal Crush and then goes for the Ki Krusher. He lifts Mayse, but Alan knees him in the face. He drops to his feet and gives Ki the Tiger Bomb. However, Trent Acid emerges from under the ring and holds Alan's foot so that he can't make the cover. Alan pulls Acid up onto the apron and starts slapping the hell out of him. Referee David Bowers gets in between them, which allows Ki time to recover. He dropkicks Alan into the corner and then hits the Ki Krusher, getting the three count.)

Winner: Low Ki

David: Low Ki steals it after Trent Acid grabs the champ's leg. Now we know what they were talking about last week!

Dick: Now Low Ki goes on to face the MECCA Champion at Punked Out, while Acid will most likely get his First Blood Match with Alan for the Toughman Title.

David: Alan has to be angry enough to accept that challenge, and that's what Acid counted on. We're out of time this week, but pleas join us again next week for more MECCA action!
